We were closed Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Otherwise we were open seven days a week. Sunday we didn’t &lt;br /&gt;open until four in the afternoon, but we were still open on Sunday. My husband and I didn’t argue about much, but had our share of arguments about opening on Sunday.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We didn’t have much spare time for ‘fun’ but in the summer we took our RV down to Kennerdell where we set up a camp for the season. As often as we could we escaped to our camp. When I say escape that was literally true because that was before cell phones.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This one particular weekend we had escaped on Saturday. Sunday I told my husband we had to break camp early because I had to open the shop at four. He asked me what for? I replied that when the help didn’t work, the boss had to. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;That was the last Sunday Rollie’s Pizza Shop was ever opened. You know what? We made more money in six days than we ever did in seven. Why? Of course overhead was cut, but I have always believed it was because we were obeying our teachings by resting on the seventh day and/or our customers, protestant, catholic and Jewish, respected us for our decision.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;That happened to us back in the 70s. What has that got to do with today? I have a friend who drives a delivery truck for a reputable firm. How often does he get to go to church with his family? Not often. Why? The company makes deliveries on Sunday. They can not make deliveries on their schedule because most of the customers go to church so the company only has certain times to find the customer at home. #1  why do the customers have to have a Sunday delivery if they’re going to be in Church and they won’t use the delivered goods in church and #2  doesn’t the company realize they’d be more respected if they honored the Lord’s Day?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I know times have changed, but when I was growing up in a small western Pennsylvania town there was NOTHING open on Sunday. Mother did her grocery shopping on Saturday. If Daddy needed gas, which wasn’t likely because we walked to church, school and work, he filled the car&lt;br /&gt;on Saturday. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I realize I grew up in a better day, but I don’t seem to have suffered for it. If the thinking Christian would think about the ruination of the values we are all suffering, they could, one by one, do something about it. Do you drop off your kids for Sunday school, or do you take them? Do you go to church as a family, or don’t any of you even go to church? Looking back, though, over the years, the methods were &lt;br /&gt;archaic and not conducive to increasing your residual income.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My husband and I went to all the meetings which were weekly at &lt;br /&gt;the time, but that soon became detrimental to my husband&#39;s &lt;br /&gt;health. The meetings were held in hotels. While there was no &lt;br /&gt;smoking allowed in the meeting room, in order to get to the &lt;br /&gt;meeting room a person had to go through the lobby where smoking &lt;br /&gt;was allowed and you were subjected to smoke. My husband was very &lt;br /&gt;allergic to smoke.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I kept on in the business for a while, after my husband had to &lt;br /&gt;stop attending meetings, but soon realized it was no fun by &lt;br /&gt;myself even though I had built relationships, but relationships &lt;br /&gt;did not take the place of my husband,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After leaving that business I dabbled in other businesses, but &lt;br /&gt;soon learned my sponsors were interested in just two things  - &lt;br /&gt;collecting a residual check from my purchases and promoting their &lt;br /&gt;&#39;other&#39; businesses.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I had been in and out of more NWM businesses than I could &lt;br /&gt;remember when my husband and I bought our own therapeutic &lt;br /&gt;business in 1999. We operated that as a telephone business, doing &lt;br /&gt;everything by ourselves. We were quite successful with that &lt;br /&gt;business until my husband was diagnosed with cancer and died just &lt;br /&gt;weeks following diagnosis.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I tried to carry on following his death but was unable to &lt;br /&gt;emotionally so I ran a ½ price sell, sold my stock and closed my &lt;br /&gt;business.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Three years later, during which time I did nothing except read &lt;br /&gt;and sleep, I was invited to join Xango, a brand new nutritional &lt;br /&gt;company with one nutritional consumable product. I have been taking six ounces of &lt;br /&gt;mangosteen juice a day. I have osteoarthritis of the neck, &lt;br /&gt;fibromyalgia and myalgia and no longer take pain pills. The &lt;br /&gt;doctor cut my cholesterol medication by half.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Many years ago I had rectal surgery that left me in need of a &lt;br /&gt;stool softener which I no longer use. It seemed to us that it would be a nice gesture &lt;br /&gt;and we began our day cheerily giving away the free apples. As the day went &lt;br /&gt;on, nearly every customer asked why they were getting the apple, a few were &lt;br /&gt;happy, some left the apple with no explanation; others asked if they were &lt;br /&gt;rotten, many insisted that they must have been charged extra for it, and &lt;br /&gt;almost everyone wanted to know what was &#39;the catch&#39;. At the end of the day &lt;br /&gt;we found ourselves exhausted and hoping that we never get another crate of &lt;br /&gt;free apples again.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Was there &#39;a catch&#39;?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Yes, there were several:&lt;br /&gt;1- We had hundreds of perfectly good apples that we had gotten for free &lt;br /&gt;taking up valuable space and wanted to get rid of them.&lt;br /&gt;2- The manager wanted the customers to get a sense of added value to their &lt;br /&gt;purchase, so that they may return to establishment.&lt;br /&gt;3- We didn&#39;t want hundreds of apples to go to waste by throwing them out.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As you can see &#39;the catch&#39; that most customers feared was actually a good &lt;br /&gt;one. This happens quite often in the online world. Free services abound and &lt;br /&gt;we often bypass them because if it&#39;s free it must not work, there must be &#39;a &lt;br /&gt;catch&#39;, there will probably be a charge later on. While this may be true for &lt;br /&gt;most offers, it can&#39;t be true for all of them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So what can we do to take the fear out of free?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1- Read the program terms/fine print, businesses are legally obligated to &lt;br /&gt;disclose all the so called &#39;catches&#39; in one of these forms.&lt;br /&gt;2- Determine whether you really need what is being offered.&lt;br /&gt;3- Test the effectiveness of the service/product.&lt;br /&gt;4- Set reminders via calendars, planners, etc. of expiration dates or &lt;br /&gt;deadlines for trial services. On said date determine whether it is worth the &lt;br /&gt;cost or not.&lt;br /&gt;5- Most importantly, use common sense, if it seems too good to be true, &lt;br /&gt;Google it. More often than not it really will be. Give them just&lt;br /&gt;enough to want more - that&#39;s when your sales copy takes&lt;br /&gt;over.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-- DON&#39;T leave out benefits for the reader. If you want&lt;br /&gt;people to listen to you, then you need to understand this&lt;br /&gt;fundamental rule about the human race...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We (that includes me!) will only be interested if we feel&lt;br /&gt;that there is something for us at the end of it. It&#39;s a&lt;br /&gt;commonly (though surprisingly little known) technique of&lt;br /&gt;addressing the &quot;What&#39;s In It For Me?&quot; factor. Tell the&lt;br /&gt;reader how it will help them and they&#39;ll have to read more.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-- Imagine that the headline is the only thing they will&lt;br /&gt;see and that you have to convey your point there and then.&lt;br /&gt;Many people rely on lots of long sales copy, with bulleted&lt;br /&gt;points and raving testimonials, but this is worthless&lt;br /&gt;unless you can grab the reader from the start. Think of an&lt;br /&gt;email. If you want someone to read your email, you have to&lt;br /&gt;make your headline scream &quot;Open Me&quot; without the reader even&lt;br /&gt;seeing the rest of the contents. Treat your site just the&lt;br /&gt;same, make your headline scream &quot;Read ME!&quot;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To sum up..&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If your site is not pulling well, the first thing you&lt;br /&gt;should look at is your headline. The greatest sales pitch&lt;br /&gt;in the world wont mean a thing without the greatest&lt;br /&gt;headline to go with it. Visit other sites too. Vision is in your&lt;br /&gt;heart. Your personal plan. What drives you to be here? What are&lt;br /&gt;your dreams? Your Vision is you getting up close and personal&lt;br /&gt;with the &quot;why&quot;, &quot;where&quot; &quot;who&quot; and &quot;what&quot; of  your business.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Let&#39;s go deeper....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Your Vision is images and values you want for you business  and&lt;br /&gt;tying it all into a package that becomes a life choice for  you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It is the intimate reason you do what you do. Find your  purpose&lt;br /&gt;and passion, then build your business and your life around &lt;br /&gt;that. You are very proud of their&lt;br /&gt;accomplishment and know  YOUR VISION is the reason they got to&lt;br /&gt;college. You can close your  eyes and SEE and FEEL the emotions&lt;br /&gt;you and your family have on  that wonderful day!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Your Vision is what your heart is telling you IS POSSIBLE!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Where do you see your business going?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Not today or tomorrow but way in the future when you are  very&lt;br /&gt;successful. Do you see yourself hiring assistants? Do you  see&lt;br /&gt;yourself moving into a swanky office building? Whatever is your &lt;br /&gt;personal Vision...see it, feel it, close your eyes and imagine &lt;br /&gt;yourself extremely successful.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. What is the personal payoff going to be?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Will you take your dream vacation? Write a book? Go on  Oprah?&lt;br /&gt;What is your personal &quot;pot of gold&quot;? What does your &quot;what&quot; look &lt;br /&gt;like? Visualize it!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4. Who is your perfect customer?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Visualize your perfect customer. Is it a stay-at-home Mom?  She&lt;br /&gt;wears jeans and has bunny slippers, drives a mini-van, has a dog&lt;br /&gt; and a cat. Maybe your perfect customer is a business person who&lt;br /&gt;wears  suits and drives a Lexis and wears a Rolex.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Your Vision is fluid...not written in stone....your Vision &lt;br /&gt;changes as your business changes...but you will always be on the&lt;br /&gt;same  path. Your Vision will help you define your purpose and&lt;br /&gt;passion and  bring that into the way you live life.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lastly, add the images and values you want to bring to your &lt;br /&gt;business. How do you want to be known? How do you want the&lt;br /&gt;public to  see you? What do you stand for? Be sincere and make&lt;br /&gt;it count. Do  things for the right reasons.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Your Vision once you step into it and start living it  instead&lt;br /&gt;of focusing on the day to day, brings balance to your life. It &lt;br /&gt;becomes part of who you are. /&gt;drowning.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One of the MAJOR reasons for business &lt;br /&gt;failure is lack of planning.You don&#39;t &lt;br /&gt;need a long drawn out business plan,&lt;br /&gt;you can simply write down what you need &lt;br /&gt;to do in order to be profitable.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Include these points.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Goals and Financial Projections....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Start with the short term....you can &lt;br /&gt;adjust and expand as you go.Ask yourself....&lt;br /&gt;Where do I want to be in 6 months,&lt;br /&gt;in 1 year....and what am I going to do &lt;br /&gt;to get there.Think about what it will &lt;br /&gt;cost you to reach your goal.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Add up your monthly costs...i.e. web &lt;br /&gt;hosting,list hosting,monthly subscription &lt;br /&gt;costs,the cost of purchasing tools to use,&lt;br /&gt;learning materials,coaching,advertising &lt;br /&gt;or any of the other little monthly payouts &lt;br /&gt;that sneak up on us and eat up our monetary&lt;br /&gt;resources.Ask yourself if you can really&lt;br /&gt;afford to purchase that $100 learning &lt;br /&gt;system or if you should look for a less &lt;br /&gt;expensive alternative.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In todays world,many people are coming &lt;br /&gt;online looking to earn a living because &lt;br /&gt;they have lost their jobs,or they need to &lt;br /&gt;supplement their income.You don&#39;t have a lot&lt;br /&gt;of extra money to waste.You need to be &lt;br /&gt;brutally honest and realize you may have &lt;br /&gt;to do without that latest,gauranteed to&lt;br /&gt;make you a millionaire overnight,$1000 &lt;br /&gt;e-course.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Plan Your Work Daily&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Also known as /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Along with your goals and financial &lt;br /&gt;projections you want to write down what &lt;br /&gt;you are going to do daily in order to &lt;br /&gt;reach your goals.Don&#39;t rely on your &lt;br /&gt;memory...it&#39;s not that good.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You need to be incredibly disciplined to &lt;br /&gt;succeed online,and even though most &lt;br /&gt;business owners are,it can become hard to&lt;br /&gt;&#39;stay on task&#39; with no boss to keep you&lt;br /&gt;moving,especially working from home.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Set business hours for yourself and stick &lt;br /&gt;with those hours.At least try to...at times &lt;br /&gt;you will need to extend those hours.When you &lt;br /&gt;run your own business online you must be &lt;br /&gt;prepared for long hours.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take Care Of Yourself&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Probably the most over looked aspect of &lt;br /&gt;your business plan.In fact in some business &lt;br /&gt;plans I&#39;ve seen there is no space for&lt;br /&gt;taking care of yourself.So why do I recommend &lt;br /&gt;that you include this in your plan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Because you are important...you are number &lt;br /&gt;1...without you your business will not go.&lt;br /&gt;That&#39;s why taking care of yourself is so&lt;br /&gt;important.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Make sure you eat properly,schedule in &lt;br /&gt;lunch and breaks,just as if you were &lt;br /&gt;working at an offline job.Being properly &lt;br /&gt;nourished and rested is crucial to your success.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Give yourself a day off.Most business owners &lt;br /&gt;will argue with me on this,but I stick to my &lt;br /&gt;guns here...you need to get away,you need&lt;br /&gt;to connect with family and friends.Even if &lt;br /&gt;its taking the kids to a movie,or lunch with&lt;br /&gt;friends,or taking a walk...you need that&lt;br /&gt;time away from the computer.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Other Tips for Success Online&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Stay away from the phone....that&#39;s what &lt;br /&gt;answering machines and caller ID are for.If &lt;br /&gt;it isn&#39;t a call concerning your business&lt;br /&gt;don&#39;t answer it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Keep friends at bay....don&#39;t let them just &lt;br /&gt;drop in for coffee because they know you work &lt;br /&gt;from home and will be home.Encourage them to &lt;br /&gt;call first and then let them know when you &lt;br /&gt;can take a break.They will understand.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Keep the T.V. off....this is a sure time &lt;br /&gt;waster.At my house my office was moved &lt;br /&gt;due to the fact I had to move our bedroom&lt;br /&gt;downstairs because of my hubby&#39;s illness.&lt;br /&gt;So my office became the bedroom and I am &lt;br /&gt;in a corner of the dining area.My husband&lt;br /&gt;spends his days reading and watching t.v. &lt;br /&gt;and I found myself distracted and turning &lt;br /&gt;around to watch....I took to wearing my&lt;br /&gt;headphones and listening to music.Problem &lt;br /&gt;solved with the added benefit of calmer nerves&lt;br /&gt;....the noise from the t.v. had me all&lt;br /&gt;jumpy and unable to concentrate.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Which, of course, leads me to say...try &lt;br /&gt;to have your office in a quiet area of &lt;br /&gt;the house and let your family know that&lt;br /&gt;it IS an office.They shouldn&#39;t be constantly&lt;br /&gt;interrupting you while you are working.With &lt;br /&gt;small children this can be a challenge,but &lt;br /&gt;it can be accomplished.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In conclusion....if you don&#39;t plan your &lt;br /&gt;business,if you don&#39;t give yourself the time&lt;br /&gt;neccessary to run your business,if you do not &lt;br /&gt;take your business seriously...that water will&lt;br /&gt;creep up over your head.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br money.&lt;br /&gt;The non-successful person has no goals.They&lt;br /&gt;have no motivation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My very first business venture online was&lt;br /&gt;a little program called My Success Center.&lt;br /&gt;Some of you may recall this program.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;MSC was built around the multiple streams&lt;br /&gt;of income theory...and it worked...if you&lt;br /&gt;worked.And I did...and I made money.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They also branched into a consumable product&lt;br /&gt;line of vitamins,health care items,shampoo&lt;br /&gt;and a bunch of other stuff.The products were&lt;br /&gt;good,I used them myself and I sold enough&lt;br /&gt;products to keep my pocket jingling and&lt;br /&gt;my interest high.....but I could not get&lt;br /&gt;my downline to move on these products.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Try as I might I could not get them to take&lt;br /&gt;action.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Action is the key...without it nothing goes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Without you taking action...your online&lt;br /&gt;business will remain stagnant and eventually&lt;br /&gt;you give up.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take a look around you....what do you see.&lt;br /&gt;What do all the big names in internet marketing&lt;br /&gt;have in common....yes thats right,they are doing&lt;br /&gt;something...they are taking action.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They are contacting their lists every day,they&lt;br /&gt;try new things,they see a need, then think up&lt;br /&gt;new ways to fill that need,then they act on&lt;br /&gt;that idea,form it into a product or program,they brain&lt;br /&gt;storm with others to perfect their idea,they&lt;br /&gt;invite others to participate,giving them a chance&lt;br /&gt;to gain from their idea.....the point is they&lt;br /&gt;are taking action and they are successful.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Right now,all over the net,people are taking&lt;br /&gt;action....they are launching new ideas,making&lt;br /&gt;changes to their sites,to their ezines,investigating&lt;br /&gt;new avenues to riches...what are you doing?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What you do right now...this day...this
