I hiked up from my aunt and uncle's cabin to the top of the nearby peak via an old eroded road with may downed trees. It's now nothing more than a local trail, illegal for vehicles to traverse. Despite living here for 12 years, nobody in the house had ever been up to the top via the trail. I went to Whistler this last weekend with a large group of friends and new acquaintances. It was my first time snowboarding this year. For anyone that knows me, that's quite difficult to believe. This is my 18th season snowboarding (good golly that makes me feel old) and I've never ever done less than 10 days in a season. A couple of seasons ago, I had never been fewer than 20 times in a season.
