Thought you might like to keep up with the musical activities of the previous Quails. Guitarist Max is building on his reputation as an amazing guitar teacher and is very much in demand! Drummer Chris Prentice has formed a Muse tribute band A=Muse http://www.facebook.com/amuseteignmouth
Lead Singer/songwriter Dan Steer is fronting a new band called These Reigning Days Visit their website www.thesereigningdays.co.uk and like their facebook page at www.facebook.com/thesereigningdays to be kept in the loop.

The Quails have had a hell of a journey over the last 5 years. We've met some awesome people, we've had some incredible experiences. We would like to say a massive thank you to every single one of our fans and everyone who has supported and helped us along the way. Sadly we have decided to go our own separate ways, big love, Dan, Sam, Chris and Max xxxx

The single "Games with the Devil" comes out on 7th March. Already on lots of playlists, here's a nice little review on new-reviews.co.uk

Thanks to all those who came along to The Carlton Theatre in December. We will be posting a live video taken at the event by our great friends at Pangaea TV very soon.
We're headlining the last live show at Exeter's Cavern 0n 29th December and we're looking forward to some local gigs in January. Plans afoot for some great shows in 2011. Bring it on!

The run up to Christmas is going to be great. After a wee gigging break, we're keen to get back on it! Tues 23rd Nov we're doing a Club Fandango night at The Buffalo Bar in Islington. Fri 3rd Dec is our Christmas bash in good ol' Teignmouth at The Carlton Theatre with our friends Sundog and The Rants. Tickets from the store here or from Teign Music - and on the 17th December we're playing at Birmingham Uni's Christmas party! Let the party season begin...

Nice Review of Fever in Guitar Techniques Magazine:
4 stars
"This is the second album from a West Country (UK) band The Quails. The first one was good and this is better. Fronted by singer-songwriter-guitarist Dan Steer, the band is now tighter and more forceful plus they have an ace up their sleeve in guitarist Max Armstrong. Although he is far from overused, his ability to pull a great solo out of the hat when required is a huge benefit as this is surely what so many contemporary bands lack. Steer has a distinctive voice, great stage presence and can craft a good tune (check out Argentina), and the ability of all members of the band has to be applauded. Highlights for us include Max's solo at the end of Fever and the hidden instrumental track, but this is a band of many parts, all of which are good"

Latitude with Huw Stephens

We've just come back from an awesome weekend. Chagstock turned out to be one of the best gigs ever, with a fantastic audience in a beautiful setting.

Then it was an 8 hour drive to Latitude Festival in Suffolk. Worth every minute of it. Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens introduced us and the performance of one our songs from the day was chosen to feature in a video with Huw about his stage at Latitude. Check it out here

The Quails Back From Glastonbury

Yes, it was even better than we thought it would be! Highlights included watching the mighty Muse and just experiencing the general vibe that is Glasto. We left for Glastonbury to play just one gig in the Theatre and Circus tent Green Room, but we ended up doing 4 gigs including a public gig in the Fluffy Rock cafe and a surreal gig when we had 10 minutes notice to get on stage in front of a packed audience because another band had failed to show up. We dragged 3 band members out of their beds, we rocked and saved the night. We've been asked back next year.

We are loving festival season. So far we've played at Volksfest, supported Ruby Turner at Dartmouth, played Beach Break Live, rocked at the gorgeous Gold Coast Ocean Fest, been to Pembery for Beach Break Live, supported The Automatic at Birmingham Uni and Toploader at Namfest. So much more to come...

The Quails entertained over 1000 people in the International Riviera Centre, Torquay on Saturday night. The gig was a true stunner and has received excellent reviews. They were supported by Iconyx and Redtrack, and the superb Two Spot Gobi. Read a review here.

The Quails will celebrate the release of their brand new album, Master of Imperfection with an epic launch party at Torquay's Riviera International Centre on Saturday May 8th.
