WWE - Judgment Day

Grab the hot wings, soda, snacks and a comfy seat...because Judgment Day is here! The WWE pay-per-view starts tonight at 7:30 PM. It is time for us to make our picks for the matches tonight. While I am sure we will have many surprises along the way, my family and I love to bicker over who will win and why. The conversation has been raging since 8 am this morning! My picks to win are listed in red below.

John Morrison vs. Shelton Benjamin - Though this classifies as a "bathroom match" for my family, as neither of them make us sit up and take notice, I am predicting that Morrison will run away with the victory. It appears to me that the WWE is trying to give him more face time, and bring him into the hearts of fans everywhere. After all, they did pair him with CM Punk on Friday night's Smackdown.

Randy Orton vs. Batista - Orton just ran away with the title a few weeks ago. It is my bet that he will keep his title tonight. Batista's tendency to get dropped on his head, causing the bats in the belfry to keep him dizzy for a while, will play a part in this. Personally, I'd love to see Orton lose, as I love to hate his storylines. He's always the bad guy...always.

Edge vs. Hardy - It is his time to win guys & gals. Hardy has overpaid his dues for his past mistakes. Tonight, we will see Hardy walk away a champion. Let's face it...there isn't anyone left to save Edge. At any rate, this will be a great match. Jeff Hardy gives 110% to his fans every time he steps into the ring. I'll be rooting for him!

Christian vs. Swagger - We rarely see a title change hands in most pay-per-views. Recently, there's been a ton of changing going on. I think Christian, who has come into his own since his return to the WWE, will walk away victorious. Swagger needs to get a tan, stop acting like an over grown spoiled prep school boy and get back to basics. If you look like a big ol' farmboy, take advantage of it. Us country girls love it!

Cena vs. Big Show - I heard a rumor that Cena is set to start a new movie soon, and will be taking time from the WWE for this. Since we know that there aren't many who could truly take Cena in a match without getting a lucky break, who better to pit him against than Big Show. Cena will lose this match tonight, and be gone for a while with some type of "injury." Let's just hope the injury isn't real!

Mysterio vs. Jericho - It pains me to say this, almost makes me physically ill. I hate the role that Jericho has played for the last year or so, but I do think he will take the title tonight from Mysterio. This is one that I'd be happy to be wrong about guys & gals.

Punk vs. Umaga - So much for that case Punk keeps carrying around. I doubt we'll see him cash it in tonight, as Umaga is a force to be reckoned with. As much as I'd love to see Punk win, I think Umaga will be victorious. Sad...he hasn't been around much lately. To bad the few times we've seen him, he's been a thorn in Punk's side.

Last but not least, with the absence of Michaels & Triple H, one has to wonder...will DX make an appearance? If they do, Orton might be getting more than he bargained for. I do miss the sound of DX's music starting and the thrill we get from knowing we are about to see one of the best teams in WWE history walk down the ramp. Even if they show up together, Orton will keep that belt, because we know it will be an instant DQ for Batista if they get involved in the match.

Still...I would love to see DX return to beat the living daylights out of the Orton cult. Legacy is nothing more than a bunch of robots following Orton around like a bunch of beaten, hungry pups. Stay tuned for a wild night WWE fans!

In this day and age, our comforts have gotten larger. With televisions that are bigger than ever, many of us have to choose between size & room. Our living rooms, great rooms, family rooms and even bedrooms are crowded with that big screen TV that we just had to have, but really doesn't fit in with the rest of our stuff. Amazingly enough, we don't have to live with the TV crowding our space. Piss me off! It used to be that pop up advertising was popular among affiliate sites, marketing scams & pyramid schemes. Today, it has become popular among sites such as imdb.com & ehow.com as a way to get their readers to pay a membership fee for ad free interaction. Why is it popular?

Because businesses such as ChaCha, the text answering service have arrived on the scene. Their sites are getting more traffic than ever from guides who spend their free time getting paid a few cents per question to answer things like "Who was Julia Roberts married too?"

The free traffic to their sites from links that are sent with those answers aren't enough for these popular web sites. Instead, Guides are shying away from sources like Imdb.com or ehow.com to avoid these ads that may take a minute or more to load. Time is money to these people, and if your site isn't going to load quickly, it isn't going to get used.

Greed not only takes its toll on internet users everywhere, but their greed will eventually take its toll out of their profits as people like me get tired of waiting for the tiresome advertisements to load. We will find other sources boys & girls.

Hell's Kitchen

Hell's Kitchen

The season finale of Hell's Kitchen is tomorrow night! Chef Paula & Chef Danny will fight it out for the grand prize, becoming the Executive Chef of the Borgata in Atlantic City. I can't wait to see how it ends! I started watching just a few weeks ago, so of course, I went online to watch the beginning of the season. I would never have guessed that Danny would make it this far. He was a screw up at first with a cocky attitude that just begged for Ramsey to kick his butt in my opinion. However, after watching last season, I think that Danny will be the one to go the distance and win the prize.

Ramsey likes a person who believes in their own abilities, and he has age on his side. At 23, he has a long career ahead of him. Who better to teach than a young gun who will learn it your way, and do it your way for the rest of his life?

I don't know how these people do it though. If he spent his time getting in my face and yelling "you stupid cow!", we would come to blows before I made it through my first dinner service. Yes, that is what makes it amusing and funny for the rest of TV land, but ohhhhh boy, those insults just keep on coming. Perhaps the rewards are worth the insults.

This is Ramsey's fifth season, producing excellent chef's along the way. He is successful, despite repeatedly kicking chef after chef out of the kitchen. I would love to spend a night in Hell's Kitchen, close enough to hear the shouting at the pass. We love to hang on his every word, waiting to hear those words that start with f just spilling out of his mouth.

At any rate, I am anxiously awaiting Thursday night. Inquiring minds need to know...who will win? Paula or Danny? Both are awesome but...

Danny has my vote!

Do The Geeks On Time Bump!

It has been a while since I ragged on Geeks On Time. I have been watching our traffic for the posts regarding them, and we are still getting a ton of hits. I need some comments though guys. My husband managed to get his money out of them a while ago, but I do not want to see the rest get lost in the shuffle.

What are you all doing with them? Getting any results? It seems that there are so many who have done work and still not gotten paid for their efforts. They are still accepting applications on their web site. It is a shame that more people will be taken advantage of with their little scam that is going on.

We cannot let this ride, as so many people prefer to work at home. With job markets the way they are, and the economy still rocky, work at home has become an option for many including stay at home moms & dads. So let's get rockin' and fill in the work at home community.

Have you gotten paid? How long have you been waiting? Is Venus still ignoring phone calls? Anyone started a law suit? My inquisitive (read...nosy...) mind needs to know!

Some people love chocolate, some spend a pile of money on wine. I spend a minor amount of my hard earned cash on my favorite treat...soap! Yes, I admit it, I indulge in luxurious showers and baths, complete with candles, soft music, a glass of wine and...see where this is going...soap! How can soap be my favorite treat? It usually dries the skin among other things. But, hand made soap? Now here's a treat you do not want to miss!

Have you ever tried a bar of real, home made soap? Chances are, if you have, you have never gone back to the stuff we buy in the grocery store. Hand made soap is simply good. It is better for your skin, because it is made in a natural process by people who have researched, experimented, tested (many times on their friends & family...I'd pay a membership fee to test this stuff for crafters!) and finally found a recipe that makes a great product that smells great, works better than anything you'll get off the grocer's shelf and is kind to your skin.

My little stash of heaven was getting low, so I decided to try a new product from a crafter I hadn't bought from before. Yes, I believe in supporting small, home businesses when I can! I called upon Sugar Bush Primitives in my search through the web for a great product at a decent price. As I searched their site, I realized this is a busy bunch of gals. Not only do they offer hand made soap, but candles and primitive needfuls and more is available from Sugar Bush.

Their prices were awesome as far as I was concerned. They offered a variety of wonderful scents. The shopper in me decided to try several, because after all, good prices, decent shipping prices and a great web site that is often updated means a company that takes pride in their products. So I ordered!

I'm a cynic! Ordering from the web always provides a potluck experience for dinner. You might get what you ordered, you might not. It is a chance we take when we try a new business that we have never heard of. Imagine my surprise when Mary from Sugar Bush answered my e-mails within an hour or so. Even more surprising, within a day, I had an e-mail that told me my soap (yummy..can't wait...planning my bath already!) had been shipped, and I had a tracking number to keep an eye on my package's process through the postal service.

Within a few days, my Sugar Bush Primitive Soaps had arrived. My medley of scents included Country Roads, Raspberry Jasmine, Country Apple and Berry Pickin'. Mary had included a sample bar of a Lavender soap that is now one of my favorites. Though I have not used them all...some indulgences simply need to wait for a good time...I have tried my Country Roads soap. It was my first choice because a description from Mary stated that it was great for men, but when no one was looking...she would sneak a bar into her bath too!

Pay Cuts To Fix Budget?

This is the proverbial crock of shit. State employees are being forced to take a pay cut in an already poor pay situation to fix the budget issues in North Carolina. How this will work is beyond my understanding, as many state employees already use the state programs of Medicaid for insurance because their pay does not exceed the income requirements. Many barely exceed the income limits for food stamps. So, I guess the lesson here for state employees is...

HEAD TO YOUR LOCAL SOCIAL SERVICE DEPARTMENT boys & girls. If we are forced to shoulder the weight of the budget crisis facing North Carolina, than we should take advantage of the very programs that our taxes support.

The next question - Is Perdue taking a pay cut? One would certainly hope so. Though I doubt she has to worry about feeding her family and giving them appropriate housing, food, medical care and clothing.

Is she raising the taxes for non-state employees so that they also shoulder the responsibility? Most likely it will happen, and then state employees can get a double whammy. Let the writing campaign begin kids. It is time to tell our elected officials (makes me want to puke, I didn't vote for her!) that we will not stand for them collecting an inflated pay check and allowing us to pay their bills while they continue to give us the shaft.

Isn't really crazy at all. I had to go find the answer to settle a disagreement between my kids.

So, my son eventually asks me to go look it up! He and his sister are having a major disagreement regarding this topic, and the fighting was driving me insane. I would have sworn that Slim Shady was a famous person from my childhood or before, but it turns out that "Slim Shady" is actually singer Eminem!

Eminem was born October 17, 1972. His real name is actually Marshall Bruce Mathers III. His debut album, Infinite, released in 1996. The Slim Shady EP was released in 1998, and went platinum 3 times! While Eminem isn't one of my favorite rappers (I dislike rap in general), it behooves me to say, I made my kids laugh when I provided them with more information about Eminem than they thought their old mama could possibly know!

Okay, so I promised that Triple H would have his very own rant. And it is well deserved. It annoys me that we are forced to wait until April to see the man settle a score for his wife with Randy Orton. The entire story line annoys me. It continues the violence against women theme, which in itself is disgusting. If the tables were turned, and it was Orton's wife that had been on the receiving end, would he be so kind as to wait a month to kick someone's ass?

I understand that the WWE needs a way to bring a title back to Raw. I know that they need a breath of fresh air and fast to keep viewers. But they took this too far. The whole world knows that Triple H and Stephanie are married. It would have been enough for viewers if Triple H had come back to Raw to avenge his father-in-law. We all hate Randy Orton with a passion anyway. Did we really need him to go after Stephanie to bring her husband back to the show?

The answer is no. I will be waiting along with the millions of others to see Orton get his just due. My guess is he won't get it, and this story line will continue throughout the Summer, annoying the crap out of everyone anyway. We will have to wait and see.

In the meantime, it is high time to get the good guys rallied, and let them target Orton since Triple H can't. Get the picture?

WWE - It's Ranting Time!

Millions of people watch on television as WWE Superstars bring their best shot to the famous square ring. We tune in religiously, waiting to see who is going to beat who into a pulp this week. WWE fans are probably the worst type of fan, because no matter what we are subjected to, we continue to come back for more every Monday, Tuesday and Friday night. Once a month, we pay $40 or more to watch a special event that probably isn't worth 5 bucks.

For almost a year, Chris Jericho has been whining, crying and acting like a spoiled 2 year old. He strikes out at those who cannot defend themselves against him. He strikes out at the very people who make sure he gets a paycheck on a weekly basis. His fan base, if he has one left, is probably limited to the guy who was the high school bully and can actually relate to him. The sad fact, he's a great showman and an awesome performer who has been placed into this role as a jackass by the sad writing abillities of the current creative staff of the WWE.

This WWE fan is screaming, begging and pleading for a change in the story line. For the last year, we've watched Jericho deteriorate into a second hand, washed up wrestler who has to cheat to get anywhere. We have had to listen to his whining about Ric Flair, and then watch him as he decimated his "hero" months later. Change his role!

In the meantime, we are subjected to the screechy (nails down a chalkboard ring any bells?) voice of Vicki Guerrero. And now, with the ridiculous introduction of Triple H defending his wife's honor (this deserves it's own rant, and will get a good sized one), we have to listen to her on Monday night as well as Friday night. I swear to God, the WWE has decided that their fans all deserve to spend eternity in hell, which is the equivalent of having to listen to her for anything more than 1 minute a night. They dress her like a circus clown, though I understand it is hard to find a sexy garment to fit a cow with the voice of a mosquito buzzing in your ear non-stop for hours.

As a woman who isn't a perfect size 6, she should be the hero of every heavy woman in the world, including me. She has a successful career with a company who believes that you need to be a size 2 to be beautiful. But the site of her in anything but black outfits should be outlawed on national TV. FFS, find her a good dietician and get her trimmed down to a size 13 please? It's not a lot to ask. Hire a good voice coach for her as well, if you insist on using her on the show. Save what is left of my sanity, and stop her from that god awful screeching "Excuse me" she is so fond of. I'd love to hear her say "SHUT UP!" just once!

Oh and before I forget, she and Edge need kissing lessons. Can you get that one on the books please as a necessary expense? Watching the two of them gives me the image of what it would look like if a cow tried kissing another Diva. Edge fails at playing the loving husband. He appears to think that kissing a rattlesnake would be preferable. Perhaps he should try kissing Stone Cold?

The WWE had a positive point for the fan base at one time with the bad kid makes good story line. They threw it away to focus on violence against women and economic disaster. Two real life situations that are affecting people on a daily basis in a very negative way, yours truly included. Portraying Sean Michaels as a guy facing bankruptcy, willing to give up everything he believed in to cow tow to JBL in an effort to save his finances was a disgusting story line, and one I took great pleasure in the death of. It was a stupid move. So many of your fans are facing this every day and trying to find a way out, and you just showed the world that it is okay to forget your beliefs and do the unethical thing...why not? It was good enough for Sean Michaels, a superstar who should be a role model to his fans, and instead he was a role model for "No Ethics Here". It definitely didn't benefit the image he has built as a family man with a strong religious background. But as I said, WWE fans are the worst, because every one of us cheered when the story ended and went right back to "getting his back".

The time has come to set things back to right. I'm fed up. And I've been watching the WWE since it was the WWF...30 years as a fan, and I'm ready to change the channel on your asses. Get a decent story line going. And if your writers can't find a way to create one, hire a few fans to fix things. We could write a better script with our eyes closed and both hands tied behind our backs...
