Has it really been 13 years since Biggie was killed? Every blog I frequently visit posted some type of B.I.G. mixtape today featuring a bunch of his dopest tracks. I personally chose to honor Notorious by listening to "Ready to Die" and "Life After Death" in their entirety today. There is such a ridiculous amount of classic songs and classic lines that's almost impossible for me to choose just one to post. As I walking home from the gym though "Niggas Bleed" came on my headphones again and I knew that was the track I wanted to put up because it is just on a whole different level to me. Enjoy! BTW... The original colorway of the Air Jordan II's are set to release on May 1st with the onslaught of Air Jordan II's that are coming our way in 2010. For a second I was thinking that these were the exact same colorway that released in the Countdown Pack from last year, but looking online I guess that was just a white/red colorway. I have owned at least one pair of every Air Jordan from the I to the XVII, besides the II. Maybe I'll need to change that with this release and get a pair of the original colorway on my feet.

A Heavenly Weekend!

It's not very often that I really bring my personal life into this blog, but I've got to the point lately where I just want this blog to be whatever I want it to be. This is NOT a music blog, a sneaker blog, a free album blog, a snowboarding blog...you get the point. I'm not going to put any boundaries on what I want this blog to be, because to be honest The Real Just as a blog has already more then met any and every criteria I had for it when I first started. I named it The Real Just back in the day, because that was my vision for this blog...to be able to be myself.

This past weekend I was able to get in my 11th and 12th day of snowboarding of the year. "Well, Just don't you have a wife and baby? How do you go so often?" I have been lucky enough to be able to juggle all of the aspects in my life so that I can spend as much time as possible doing the things that I love. If you don't know me THAT well then that means family, friends, snowboarding, basketball and music. Pretty simple. Add to that fact that my wife has been as cool as she could possibly be with letting me spend some times with my friends and there you have it.

I went up to South Lake Tahoe with a group of six of my high school friends on Friday and was able to get in two gorgeous days at Heavenly. Heavenly gave us some decent weather for Saturday with snow falling starting at 2:00 and falling for the rest of the day. Only about 2" of total snow accumulated, but that meant the snowboarding on Sunday would be that much better. Good snow meant fresh tracks regardless of how much total snow there was, but the best part about the day was that it was sunny and warm also. Sunny x warm x powder? That isn't something that anyone usually experiences but I was lucky enough to reap the rewards of that rare combination.

I put up a couple pictures of the trip that I took with my iPhone 3GS camera. Yes, the camera sucks but I always do my best to document all the trips that I go on regardless of the quality of the pictures. I wish I would of posted pictures for past trips, but maybe I'll set that as a standard moving forward. I'll leave all the dope Nikon pictures to the wife...

I'll echo the sentiments I've seen in various places all over the internet by saying "Why not put them together for some collabo tracks?" You already know Whoo Kid just sent out a mass email or some shit and all these dudes did was e-mail tracks that didn't make their albums or mixtapes. I haven't pressed play yet, so I hope I am wrong with that prediction.
