Lazada Horror Story

2014-01-24T12:47:00.001+08:00

The slippers certainly look different as I expected. The white slippers looks old and dusty.

The Moss Green Slippers came in a different size. I ordered both slippers in the same size 39/40. The one that arrived is size 33/34.

Ordering from Lazada did not become a good experience for me.

The Zalora Experience - Part 2

2013-12-26T23:06:00.001+08:00

I've been e-mailing Zalora in the hopes that they will send out the items already. I badly need them for a wedding tomorrow. No reply, though.

To my surprise, I received an e-mail from them tonight saying that my order has been shipped. I checked the status of my order and I already have an LBC tracking number. LBC assures 1 day delivery even from Manila to the province. I am quite confident that my Zalora items will arrive tomorrow.

Let's Wait and See.

The Zalora Experience

2013-12-23T21:52:00.001+08:00

I have been seeing Zalora advertisements everyday for the past year! It's only now that I finally decided to order. I ordered 2 pairs of shoes, 3 polo shirts for my brothers, and a blouse for me. I sure hope all these arrive on time.

My Zalora Timeline:

December 21, 2013

I placed my order using a credit card (not mine).

When I checked the status, it stated that I needed to confirm payment and contact details. I waited for them to call me or e-mail.

December 23, 2013

Nothing happened. No e-mail nor call. So, I decided to call them. It was only then that I was told to send in my verfication documents. No prior e-mail regarding this step before my call.

No such e-mail from verifications@zalora.com.ph prior to this! The gall of this agent!

10:00 AM --Sent all my documents

5:00 PM --Received an email that my documents have been verified and my order has been processed.

How To Get Nectar

2013-10-30T12:57:00.001+08:00

I've been asked this so many times. I think this deserves a separate post.

1. Purchase and finish a butterfly house. You can find it in the Animals tab from the Store.

2. Plant trees which can produce nectar.

3. Wait for these trees to become ripe or ready for harvest. Once ripe, do not harvest YET.

4. The butterflies from the Butterfly House will fly towards the tree. Once the butterflies are finished with the tree, they will fly back to the Butterfly House.

5. The Butterfly House will have a product underneath it which is the NECTAR.

6. You will know that the butterflies have collected from the tree because the leaves of the tree will turn YELLOW. You can now harvest the fruits of the tree.

Collecting Nectar from the Cashew Tree

1. You will need this Special Butterfly House to collect Nectar from the Cashew Tree. Just follow the same steps!

Annual Confirmation of Pensioners (SSS) (UPDATED!)

2013-10-23T09:35:00.001+08:00

Today, I have been tasked by my Dad to look into the ACOP procedure as it is his first birthday as an SSS pensioner.

Here is the latest form:
ACOP (Annual Confirmation of Pensioners) Form 2013

This form you can fill up on your computer and print it out on 2 long (8.5x13)sheets of bond paper.

I picked out the Barangay Chairman for the Certification because the Barangay Hall is near our place and there is no need to fall in line. You can also choose your Bank's Manager to sign your certification.

I'm also going to bring 2 valid identification cards. It's better to photocopy the cards first before going there.

P.S.
Does the SSS still send out letters to pensioners? We haven't received a letter but we are still going through the ACOP. There is a new rule which states that pensioners' should go through the ACOP on their birth month. Otherwise, your pension will be discontinued and you will have to go through another process for the resumption.

October 23, 2013

1:00 PM - Went to the SSS Office and told the guard that I was there for the ACOP. I was given a number for the Medical/Public Assistance Lane.

1:20 PM - Number was called. I was told that we had to go to the bank because it is the first ACOP compliance. We need to bring the forms we filled up before. It was stamped and received by the officer-in-charge.

Having told her that my father would have difficulty entering the office, she volunteered to go out of the office to see my dad in our car.

1:40 PM - Arrived at the bank. I was told to bring a photocopy of the ATM card which serves as the SSS pension card along with a photocopy of his ID card.

1:50 PM - The form was received by the bank manager. They would be the one to forward it back to the SSS. The last page of the form was given back to us as proof that we have complied with the ACOP.

DONE!

October Reading List: Elizabeth Gilbert

2013-10-22T09:37:00.000+08:00

The Signature of All Things by Elizabeth Gilbert

She is also the author of the Julia Roberts-starrer "Eat Pray Love"

This book is a cult classic for women of my generation. This book propelled many ladies of my age to go to Bali! I wonder why I didn't get this book. It just didn't speak to me like so many other books did. Even the movie took me a long time of finishing. I'm a Julia Roberts fan, by the way.

I just hope the new book piques my interest and convert me to a Gilbert fan.

Any tips on how to best enjoy her books?

Villman Part 3

2013-10-10T07:18:00.001+08:00

The online sales representative is short of helpful. She only selects the texts she wants to reply to. She doesn't give the customer the assurance and confidence that his/her money has been received, that the item has been shipped, or any relevant information that is required when dealing with online customers.

As an online seller myself, I always make it a point to inform my buyers of the progress of their orders. It lessens their stress and maximizes the chance of them becoming regular customers. I had to call their landline to make sure she is at the office because she's not responsive to e-mails nor texts.

Thank God for the person named Imar. He helped me with the shipment and called me up to inform me of the delays. While Jen (online rep) gave me a misleading shipping fee quote and did not want to sort out the confusion, Imar was the one who apologized for the lapse and went out of his way to do his job well. He e-mailed me my shipping receipts. Be aware that when you buy from Villman you will be shouldering all the costs, from styro to bubble wrap. It's fine with me because there are receipts to prove the purchase, though.

I will receive the shipment this afternoon. Let's see if the product is worth the hassle.

If you need help at Villman, better inquire with Imar.

Villman Horror Story

They were the one who gave the shipping fee and I just paid for it.

Villman Online Shopping

2013-10-07T19:49:00.001+08:00

I purchased a printer through Villman Online Shopping.

I already e-mailed them my deposit slip. But there has been no response yet.

Do they really have many online customers in a day that they can't spare me the time to send a quick e-mail back?

Any advice?

How I Met Your Mother Season 9

2013-10-01T16:46:00.001+08:00

So, from the first 2 epsiodes,we already know who the Mother is. The episodes have been getting less interesting and dragging from season 8.

But Episode 3 gave me hope that maybe this season would be as exciting as the first few seasons. It was fast-paced and had such a cliffhanger of an ending! I will be watching regularly this season.

I wish Barneyand Robin will get married already! I love them both and I'm rooting for them.

I love SCANDAL so much. I love Olivia Pope even more! I'm looking forward to the third season. How I wish she won the Emmy this year! She could have been the first woman of color who won a Best Actress in a Drama Series award.

Denise & Sol Are Engaged

2013-10-01T12:31:00.001+08:00

Can I just say that I really like Denise Laurel? Especially when she started posting videos and pictures of her son, Davian Alejandro, I checked her Instagram even more! He's just so cute and adorable.

I'm so elated that Denise finally met the man she wants to spend her life with. Sol Mercado, PBA Player and human swing to Alejandro, proposed to Denise yesterday during her birthday celebration.

In this techie age, you know your friends care when they make collages of your face! Hahahah. Here are some pictures to celebrate:

The Selection Series

2013-08-26T12:27:00.000+08:00

I was looking for a light read and The Selection series did not disappoint. Though I despise heroines who are caught in a love triangle, America is an intriguing character. The history of the country of Ilea is quite interesting and I am most excited about the developments the upcoming final book will bring.

Book #1 - The Selection.

For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in the palace and compete for the heart of the gorgeous Prince Maxon.
But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn't want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by violent rebel attacks.
Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she's made for herself- and realizes that the life she's always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.

Book #2 - The Elite

Thirty-five girls came to the palace to compete in the Selection. All but six have been sent home. And only one will get to marry Prince Maxon and be crowned princess of Illea.

America still isn’t sure where her heart lies. When she’s with Maxon, she’s swept up in their new and breathless romance, and can’t dream of being with anyone else. But whenever she sees Aspen standing guard around the palace, and is overcome with memories of the life they planned to share. With the group narrowed down to the Elite, the other girls are even more determined to win Maxon over—and time is running out for America to decide.

Just when America is sure she’s made her choice, a devastating loss makes her question everything again. And while she’s struggling to imagine her future, the violent rebels that are determined to overthrow the monarchy are growing stronger and their plans could destroy her chance at any kind of happy ending.
