This species of iguana is critically endangered due to fires, storms, and agricultural developments in the northwestern islands of Fiji. This species is restricted to the dry forests of the island, being unable to live anywhere else. Fiji Crested Iguanas are herbivores, which means that they eat only plants, leaves, fruits, and flowers of trees and shrubs. This type of iguana is large, long stocky and is easily distinguished by the three narrow white stripes along its back.<br />

It is the largest living species of lizard found in the world. The reason Komodo dragons grow to be this large (6.6 to 8 ft) is because on the islands they live on, there are no other carnivores. These bad boys can see up to 300 metres (980ft) away! That's ridiculous. Komodo dragons eat mostly carrion. They can swallow goats in 15-20 minutes. These buggers can have up to 73 different strains of bacteria in their mouth, which almost all are deadly to humans. How they are unaffected by them is still a mystery.<br />
