We now offer Mango Lilikoi Pie Pops to be shipped anywhere in the US for $20!  That’s right!  Share a little Aloha with your favorite people!  A half dozen pie pops shipped via USPS Priority Mail will usually arrive within 3-5 business days…so order your pie pops on the weekend, and we will ship them out fresh on Monday!

Holiday Pie orders for Christmas will have a December 22nd, at 6 pm deadline. We will have pick up for Christmas orders at the Bakery in Puhi from 11-6 on Saturday, December 24th. Start planning now…Egg Nog pie, Cranberry Pudding Pie, Belgian Chocolate Mint, Caramel Apple Pecan….and of course our regular selection of pies.

It has been a whirlwind of going from doing 5 or 6 farmer’s markets a week with 2 part time employees to adding in 7 days a week at the retail shop AND bringing on 5 more employees.  Trying to fit it all in and make it all work took some time, but I think we have it figured out.  We have a great team at the bakery, and their training is almost complete…I hope that you have been able to meet all of our new bakers and get to know them.  Watch for several new faces at our upcoming farmer’s markets as we start cross training.

Thank you also to everyone as we train our new staff.  You may have noticed some glitches along the way….but I think we have worked through those growing pains, and I am happy to say we are on our way to fun new things!  Keep an eye on us over the next two months…you won’t want to miss a minute of it!  …did someone say Pie Ravioli?!?!?!  shhhhhh….

You probably noticed that we had some unexpected downtime last week, due to some poor attitude on our oven’s part.  I am happy to report that we will be up and running at full capacity again tomorrow!  Yippee!  So…if you have been craving a homemade pot pie or a slice and coffee, stop in tomorrow!  We will be open from 11-6.

Baker Sandy also just returned from a trip to the mainland.  How did her bakers do while she was away?  She would love to hear your comments/suggestions/concerns.  Please reply to this post, or e-mail her directly at sandy@rightslice.com .  She is excited to get back in the bakery and is VERY happy to let you all know that she came back to Kaua’i with an entire suitcase FULL of caramels!  You know what that means…Caramel Apple Pecan Pie is BACK on the menu!  We will be baking some tomorrow, so stop in after work, or on Thursday morning and pick up one of our favorite flavors.

Please join us on our covered lanai for pie and coffee, or call ahead and order a delicious, hot from the oven pot pie!

Pot Pie will require a minimum one hour pre-order.  You can also call in the morning, before work and let us know what time you would like to pick up.  We will have it fresh baked for you when you arrive!  Perfect for lunch, or to take home after work.  If you like, we can package for you unbaked, and you can bake it in your own home oven too!

You can still catch us at our 5 days a week community events, though pot pies will only be available at the 1543 Haleukana St, Lihue; retail location at this time.

I am so excited about this new step in our bakery adventure.  I hope you can join us….and bring a friend!

It is coming along quite nicely!  You will be able to stop in for a slice, a whole pie, or a pie shake by mid month.  We may not have all of our display equipment in yet…but that is the nature of doing business in the middle of the ocean.  It will all come together…it always does.

We have been busy bees here at The Right Slice.  In between getting my business plan finalized for my potential investors and the bankers…I have also hired four new employees, started training and completed the Hawaii State Sanitation Course.  Yes…it has been a whirlwind of a few weeks!

The bakery has been cleaned and painted inside…we have moved all of our equipment from the old location in Hanapepe, as well as doing a few updates and adjustments to the new space.  The new landlords have been FANTASTIC to work with…helping us get the equipment and the shop all spruced up!  We have also gotten tons of help from the community…The Gas Company, Pascua Refrigeration and A/C, All Island Painting, and more…it has been a group effort that is for sure!

So…in the next couple of weeks we will be putting the finishing touches on some of our new pie offerings:  Such as Pie Pops, Menehune Pie Bites, Lotus Blossom Pies, Pie Raviolis and our new Savory Line…which will include a choice of three savory flavors daily. 

Keep an eye on the upcoming opening date…and be ready to call in your Pot Pie orders!  Remember…we will be baking them all fresh to order, so call us an hour before you plan to pick up…and we will have your pot pies piping hot from the oven!

Thank you so much for your patience with us over the past few weeks…as we worked long and hard to get to our goal!  Tell your friends, and we hope to see you at the Pie Shop!

That’s right!  A larger space, with room to grow…AND a space to sell retail…so soon you can pick up your pies at our shop!  We plan to open in August…so keep an eye on our Facebook page for details over the next few weeks.

We will also be expanding our product line!  As you may have heard we are now offering a few more pie sizes…menehune pie bites, lotus blossom individual serving pies, and our new Shaka Pie Pops!    In addition, we will be offering pot pies at our retail location in Puhi, on a call ahead basis…so…you call us an hour before your lunch break, and you can swing by and pick up a fresh from the oven pot pie!  What a treat!  And…you can take it back to the office, or sit under our covered lanai and enjoy it there!  We will also be packing pot pies to take home and bake for dinner!

The new space is also conveniently located for our visitors…you can stop in on your way to the airport and grab a fresh pie to take carry on the plane!  We can box them up for you so you are all ready to go!  Just look out, so the flight attendants don’t eat it on you!

Of course, you will still be able to enjoy your sweet slices at our 5 community events and farmer’s markets, as well as our retail locations and restaurants! 

We are so excited to be moving to the next step in our pie journey here on Kaua’i!  Please plan to join us in Puhi for a slice….or pick up some pot pies to take home for dinner!  Details coming soon!
