I had these ambitions of fighting a few pro MMA fights to do something with all the martial arts I've learned since I was a kid. Found that time spent in most MMA gyms in the area was a waste of time, but not all. Tried CrossFit to help in this effort, and that didn't quite work out. Got injured, and health took a huge dive. Injury recovered, but still struggling to get my health in order. Warm up - Assorted stretches, shoulder roll outs, 20 air squats, 20 push ups&lt;br /&gt;
Shoulder press 95# x 5, 105# 3x5&lt;br /&gt;
50# Sand bag cross body partner throws - 5 feet apart x 5 reps each side x 2, 10 feet apart x 5 reps each side&lt;br /&gt;
50# Sand bag forward partner throws - 10 feet apart x 10&lt;br /&gt;
80# Sand bag carry, Quarter mile + 20 squats&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;3:30 pm - 1 hour massage in Pasadena with Angelique&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;span style="font-size: xx-small;"&gt;Massage was ok, but not great. But was pretty awesome for $30!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;b&gt;5:45 pm - 1.5 Hour Hatha Yoga class with Robyn Smith&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;span style="font-size: xx-small;"&gt;Great class! I'm not usually fan of Yoga classes, since then just end up being "Indian Aerobics" classes. Robyn was a very good instructor, and ran a great beginners class for another lady and I!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;span style="font-size: xx-small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;8 pm - Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Advanced class at Cia Paulista&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
A very long warm up with partner conditioning drills&lt;br /&gt;
Several jump guard sweep/take down drills&lt;br /&gt;
2 rounds of "Sumo" ring out sparring&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;span style="font-size: xx-small;"&gt;Had to cut it short here. Not sure if I was dehydrated, or just tired from the long day. Wearing the neoprene mid-section belt in a hot gym after all the training was probably the reason I over heated. No big deal. At it again tomorrow. Chest hypertrophy workout&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Incline bench press 95# Standard width grip x 10, Wide grip x 10, Narrow grip x 10 = 1 set x 4&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;span style="font-size: xx-small;"&gt;So 30 reps total for one set going from normal, wide, to narrow grip, totalling 120 reps!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;span style="font-size: xx-small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Flat bench press 115# -&amp;nbsp;Standard width grip x 10, Wide grip x 10, Narrow grip x 10 = 1 set x 3&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;span style="font-size: xx-small;"&gt;So 30 reps total for one set going from normal, wide, to narrow grip, totally 90 reps! Cut this short since we had been at this for about an hour.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;span style="font-size: xx-small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;span style="font-size: xx-small;"&gt;Hadn't really ever done a hypertrophy lifting session like this before. Was surprised that I was able to push out this many reps. I knew it was going to be a pretty light weight workout, but I didn't know I possessed this much muscle endurance, especially in my chest. Good training.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;span style="font-size: xx-small;"&gt;Felt pretty challenging for the first set. Felt a lot of strain on my low back. Was wearing cotton plaid shorts, and freakin split the ass on them! Ahahahaha. Note to self, when doing low bar back squats, make sure to wear stretchy shorts. Later sets went fine.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;b&gt;Bench Press 185# 5x5&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;span style="font-size: xx-small;"&gt;Left wrist and palm felt a little tweaky. This time it's a little worse than the first 2 times. Went off the deep end for the last 2 weeks or so on my eating. Odd thing is, although I feel uncomfortably bigger and heavier, my scale says I weigh the same. Weird.&lt;/p&gt;
