Congrats to George c!

Check your email George!

In the category of ‘oh so close’, Jeff R almost won the $100 bonus with a perfect score if the San Francisco kicker had made the winning field goal kick. After making the first three kicks, I was sure Jeff R was going to win the bonus. Also, I love an underdog story, and the kicker was an undrafted kicker who was called up, out of nowhere. It would have been the perfect time for the first RoadGambler bonus to be won.

But no, it didn’t happen.

He pushed the kick…badly.

Grrr.

I played this craps game the day after I played the Bally’s craps game…

Bally’s Roll Tracking, Part 1

Bally’s Roll Tracking Part 2

After speaking to a friend who does nothing but roll track, I showed him the preliminary Bally’s video. His comment was that I should have waited until the table ‘heated up’ before betting.

I’m not a superstitious player. I don’t believe that a table ‘heats up’, however, recently, I’ve been doing an experiment where I incorporate table or dice tracking as a form of play.

Disclaimer: I do not believe in dice tracking because every roll is independent.

Regardless of what I believe, many craps players believe that a table has a characteristic of being hot or cold. In that spirit paper writing service, I played this game according to that strategy.

I encourage you to play along and see if you do better.

Enjoy!

Usually, I alternate the theme of each Weekly Contest, even if it’s football season; however, the next Monday night game is so juicy and entertaining that I’m compelled to do another football-themed contest.

It was only last year (and all the years after Harbaugh left) that the 49ers were bottom of the barrel dregs of the league. Now, they’re the only undefeated team left, and on Monday night, they play a very good Seattle team.

THE WEEKLY CONTEST

The Monday night game on November 11 is the subject of this Weekly Contest.

San Francisco

versus

Seattle

At stake is our weekly prize of a pair of real red and white chips from a real Las Vegas casino.

$100 BONUS

Almost every contest has someone coming very close to a perfect score of 150 points. A perfect score means that you perfectly called the scores for both teams.

If you score a perfect 150 points and end up winning the contest, you will also win a $100 bonus. This will be a regular bonus going forward for football contests.

MAKE YOUR ENTRY

In the comment section below, just enter a score for each team, such as…

SF 3, SEA 5

That’s just an example. Just make sure that we can clearly tell which team your score refers to. ‘S 3, S 5’ is going to be disqualified due to ambiguity.

THE RULES

Rules are now standardized here…

Rules for football season weekly contests.

TL;DR summary of rules

Try to come as close as possible to the actual final score, without going over. Oh, and try to pick the correct team to win.

GOOD LUCK!

If you’ve ever been to downtown Las Vegas, one of the better gambling deals is the El Cortez, located about a five minute walk from all the action on Fremont.

The craps is great. Minimum bet of $5 with 10x odds.

Blackjack is awesome, too. Just don’t expect to count cards for even a little bit. The pit will bring lots of heat if they suspect that you’re counting the cards.

In this video, there are a couple of very intoxicated players who are having a good time playing the field. So if you are annoyed by excessive talk and chat, turn down the volume. They’re just having harmless fun. Besides, it’s part of the character of craps. You never know what type of player you’ll run into at the table.

Enjoy!

This week we are doing the second Texas Hold ‘Em Run Out Tournament.

Last time, it was a rough run, but this time, we are all ready!

TL;DR but you want to enter

To enter, just make a comment below with some version of the word, ‘IN’.

THE WEEKLY CONTEST

The above is a sample of the upcoming runout poker tournament, where you are a player.

The actual video will be playable on Tuesday, October 29, at 12 noon eastern.

At stake is our usual prize of a pair of real chips from a real Las Vegas casino.

THE WEEKLY CONTEST

At 7 p.m. eastern (6 p.m. central) on Monday, October 28, this contest will close to new entries. At that point, all the entries will be entered into a ‘run out’ Texas Hold ‘Em Poker tournament.

A ‘run out’ tournament is simple. Every player is dealt two cards, and the high hand wins.

THE TOURNAMENT

Many readers and viewers stated that the concept was fun. A few nasty suck outs made for some high drama. So we are doing Part 2.

The screen below is a sample pic of the tournament for demonstration purposes. It is not a shot of the actual tournament (because the tournament is not prerecorded).

The actual tournament results will be posted via a video that will show your hand in action. It’ll be a fun little sweat.

In this example, Sharon is the winner with two pair, 10s and 4s.

The seat 1 will always receive the first card on the deal.

Each player will be assigned a hand, and the hand will be personalized to that player, just as it appears in the shot above.

Deal procedure will be standard WSOP procedures.

Round 1

The first entry will be assigned seat 1, which is to the dealer’s left. Counting clockwise, the 6th entry will be the player in seat 6.

Continuing the tournament, in flight 2, the 7th entry will be in seat 1, and entry #12 will be in seat 6.

In flight 3, entry #13 will be seat 1, and entry #18 will be seat 6…

…and so on and so forth, until everyone has a chance to run out a hand.

The winner of each flight is the player with the high hand, using standard poker rankings (the wheel is the lowest straight). If there is a tie, then the hands that tied will run out a tiebreaker, with newly dealt cards, to determine the winner of that flight.

Each flight will be comprised of a single hand that is dealt to six players. The winner of each flight will go on to the next round to compete in the next flight.

For example, if there are 56 entries, there will be 10 flights, since each flight has six entries. On the final flight, if the total number of players does not equal exactly 6, then the empty seats will be assigned as bonuses to whoever entered this contest first, going down. For example, if John Smith and Jane Smith were the first and second entries in this contest, and the final flight only had 4 players, then John Smith and Jane Smith will round out the 5th and 6th seats.

Subsequent Rounds

The winner of each flight will then go on to subsequent rounds.

In the subsequent rounds, if there are more than 6 players, the remaining players will be split into two or more tables of similar size, with a table max of 6, and with the final table being short-handed.

For example, if there are 14 players remaining, rather than doing three flights of 6, 6, and 2 (like in round 2), the round 3 flights will be broken up into three tables of nearly equal size, but as close to 6 max as possible, with the final table being the short-handed table if a perfect split is not possible.

So the tables will be comprised of 5, 5, and 4 (because 5 is closer to 6 max).

If there are 9 players remaining, for example, then the tables will be broken into 3, 3, and 3 players, since a perfect split is possible.

The decision of the tournament director – that’s yours truly – is final.

Final Table

The final table will be six players max. The dealer will deal on run out each hand. The player with the high hand of the final table is the winner of the tournament.

MAKE YOUR ENTRY BELOW

Just enter, in the comments below, some version of ‘in’.

Remember if you have not made a prior comment or entry, we filter first comments for spam. After we approve your first comment, your posts will appear without moderation. Rest assured that your entry will appear.

Good luck!
