Have you ever heard of the Calgary Stampede? Of course you have, sorry about that. The 2011 Stampede is fixin’ (did I just say “fixin”) to be the biggest, baddest Stampede in years, and as the biggest, baddest nightclub in town, we wanted to outdo even ourselves by kickin’ off Stampede with the single hottest event EVER!

To accomplish this feat we’ve teamed up with the Calgary Firefighters Burn Treatment Society, and the Outriders Benevolent Fund to bring you The Roadhouses first annual Studs N’ Spuds bachelor auction. Hot right!

What we’ve done is rounded up 10 of Calgary’s hottest firefighters (guaranteed hotness, guaranteed bachelors), and 10 of the regions hottest outriders, and we’re putting them head-to-head in a bachelor auction.

For the winning ladies, you’ll get to walk away with your hotty bachelor, for who knows what kind of fun thereafter.

As an added bonus, we’ll also send you home with a custom Roadhouse VIP Package. Whether or not you go home with your bachelor is really entirely up to you.

The whole thing marks the first day of 2011 Stampede, and is going to get things rolling at the hottest nightclub in town, The Roadhouse, the way a kick-off Stampede event should.

We’re pretty much at er’ all day that day but things really get rollin’ for the Studs N’ Spurs event at 3:00pm, and the auction will start at 9:00pm.

In the days leading up to the Studs N’ Spurs event, we’ll post profiles, and yes, photos, of all our hot bachelors on our main website so you can check out the goods for yourself. You won’t be disappointed ladies.

It’s for Charity

Did I mention it’s all for charity? I think I did but just to be clear, all proceeds from ticket sales ($15.00) and auction funds go to the Calgary Firefighters Burn Treatment Center and the Outriders Benevolent Fund.

It’s an amazing cause coupled with some outrageous fun so please, get your tickets today and help us support them.

Starting Sunday June 5, and then 2 more Sunday’s after that (June 12 and June 19) we’re hosting the biggest DJ spin-off party this city has ever seen! Why, because we’ll make up any excuse to throw a killer summer party.

After the 3 Sunday DJ spin sessions are done we’ll need your help selecting the hottest DJ. The winner will rake in a cash prize (sorry, dollars to be announced) and have the chance to open for a special guest DJ at the Summer Solstice party on Tuesday June 21.

How to Enter

If you’re an aspiring DJ, a working DJ, or you just spin for shiggles and wanna enter, here’s how you do it:

1. Send us a mix » not a long one, 5 minutes or less would be perfect. Attach it to an email (spinoff@roadhousecalgary.com) or send us a link to your mix on a site like Soundcloud.
2. Send us a bio » a small write up about you, how long you’ve been spinning, what format you play, etc.  Be sure to attach a picture

Don’t forget, send your goodies to spinoff@roadhousecalgary.com as soon as you can so we can review your submission and get you in the spin-off. We’ll contact you once your submission is confirmed.

Invite Your Friends

We know an empty room is a dead room, not that The Roadhouse is ever empty, but it’s always nice to have a few friendly faces in the crowd to pump up your energy.

We’ll print off custom tickets for all the participating jocks so you can invite every Tom, Dick, and Sally you know. It’s gonna be amazing!

Saturday Oct 30 – Avatar Halloween

Sunday Oct 31 – Halloween Sunday

There’s two ways to do Halloween. One is to sit at home, with the lights out, watching a movie all by your lonesome, which is fine if that’s your thing (loser). The other way is to do it Roadhouse-style, and that’s to party, hard, 3 nights straight!!

If past Halloween parties are any indication, then most of Calgary likes the second option, and most of Calgary likes to party with The Roadhouse on at least 1, usually 2, but hopefully all 3 of our Halloween party nights.

Starting Friday Oct 29 we’ve got our Annual Devil’s night. This is a good one with the usual hot servers, hot chicks, hot dudes, hot music, and hot specials. It’s a nice warm-up to the next night which is Saturday Oct 30, and our Avatar Halloween Night.

Avatar Halloween night features more great drink specials (ya, of course) but we’ll also run ‘best costume’ prizes all night long so make sure you dress-up in your sluti… I mean, hottest, coolest outfits because we’re watching.

To cap 2010 Halloween weekend off we’ve got Halloween Sunday on Oct 31, and this is the huge one. Halloween Sunday at The Roadhouse is Calgary’s biggest, hottest, sexiest Halloween party. We’ll have more amazing best costume prizes, $3.50 drinks all night long, and amazing house beats.

The last blog we had was a stock blog done up about our back to school toga party (which kicked ass by the way). But a lot has happened since then…

We brought in Ronnie from the insanely popular MTV show Jersey Shore. Holy shit was it ever a jacked up party. And then out of the blue former ECW, WCW, and current WWE superstar Chris Jericho shows up and joined the party. If you were here to be a part of that you’re lucky. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many people go crazy over somebody in one place (except for MAYBE when the Backstreet Boys had their after party with us). August, September, and October have been great. A night when we aren’t full and lined up is more rare than ever these days. I love it. I love hearing people talk about how much of a shit show The Roadhouse was last night. It just means we’re still throwing Calgary’s biggest and best party.

We’ve done it again folks! The Roadhouse has found a way to make Calgary’s hottest nightclub even better, and on the Labour Day Long-weekend no less. It’s a hot, old school, in your face toga party!

We know you’ll take care of your to-do list during the day – Bed Bath and Beyond in the morning, mow the lawn in the afternoon, who knows, just wing it after that. Probably a nice little day planned out for yourself. That’s fine Tank, but come night time, you ours!!!

We’ve got it all worked out for you and we’ve made it unique. It’s Calgary’s only Toga Party, at least Calgary’s only Toga Party that matters, and we want you down here in your best bad ass toga outfit. Everyone’s doin’ it, and everyone’s lovin’ it!

We’ll make it worth your while too. Come on down to The Roadhouse anytime before 11:00pm in your toga and we’ll slip you right on past the line and we’ll spot ya’ the cover charge. In addition, the best toga will win tickets to the Stamps-Eskies Labour Day Classic on Sept 6.

If you can’t find a toga then you better at least get yourself on the guest list (book online). If you do plan on coming down then maybe spice up your night with a VIP Room or Bottle Service.

We’ve slowed our pace down to the normal week-to-week speed of light now that our 10 days of Stampede insanity is over (for now). We want you to collect your bearings but believe us when we say, there’s no such thing as too much fun.

We’ve got something special on-tap for you in exactly 7 short days from now, the Backstreet Boys official concert afterparty! This is one of those unique events that only The Roadhouse can swing. The Backstreet Boys will be kickin’ their thing at the Saddledome on Sunday August 8, then all hell will break lose and everyone will be lookin’ for somethin’ to do. Guess where everyone goes? The Roadhouse!

If that’s not your thing then don’t forget that we’ve got something going on every Thursday to Sunday.

Thursday Nights: It’s Threesome Thursday’s and the best Ladies Night on the planet! Swing down with your gal-pals for the experience that only The Roadhouse can le,gally offer. We’ll get you in the mood with $8.25 triples, or $4.25 warm-ups, plus we have contests running all night for the loudest and rowdiest chicks.

Friday Nights: Attention Student’s! Ya’, we know schools out for most but you’re still technically a “student” right, right.  Every Friday night we have no-line and no-cover for students – just bring your Roadhouse Student VIP Card at the door, which you can easily get from The Roadhouse anytime by the way. Haven’t got a Roadhouse Student VIP Card yet? Okay, try your regular student ID at the door, it’ll probably work.

Saturday Nights: It’s our Legendary Saturday Night House Party! There’s no other way to put it, this is flat-out the hottest night out that can be had indoors. You’ve worked all week, you’re boss is a dick, and teachers suck, your classes bore you to tears — time to cut loose and re-energize with us.

Sunday Nights: Uncensored Sunday’s is the best Industry Night in town. We know the entire bar and restaurant industry works hard on the weekends to make the $$$$ and therefore have to miss out on the hotness of The Roadhouse – no you don’t! Sunday is your Saturday and we’ve got some tricks up our sleeve to make it worth your while. Once you’re down here it’ll feel just like Saturday night!

The Backstreet Boys are coming to town August 8, and where else would the official afterparty be held but at Calgary’s hottest nightclub, The Roadhouse!
