Nicolas Hulscher of the McCullough Foundation stated that instead of advancing cancer research, the document was buried for over half a century. The report also notes that off-label use of anti-parasitic drugs like ivermectin and mebendazole has shown promising anti-cancer activity in preclinical models, but robust clinical evidence remains limited despite documented safe use in some cancer patients. In response, The Wellness Company conducted a study of 197 cancer patients prescribed compounded Ivermectin (25mg) + Mebendazole (250mg), with 122 completing 6-month follow-up: 84.4% reported clinical benefit (no evidence of disease, tumor shrinkage, or stable disease), 48.4% reported tumor shrinkage or no current evidence of disease, and 86.9% completed the initial prescription with mostly mild side effects. The compounds work through disrupting tumor growth pathways, triggering apoptosis, and starving abnormal cells by blocking glucose absorption. Dr. Peter McCullough described the results as revealing exciting potential for inclusion in treatment of multiple cancer types and called for full scientific investigation. The article frames the CIA document and recent data as evidence of suppressed low-cost cancer treatment research amid a pharmaceutical industry generating over $200 billion annually from cancer treatments, positioning the Wellness Company protocol as a proactive, affordable option.

CONCLUSION
The evidence synthesized in this manuscript establishes a compelling case that
mitochondrial dysfunction represents a biologically plausible and clinically relevant
pathway through which certain vaccine components may contribute to autism spectrum
disorder in genetically susceptible subgroups. Three independent lines of rigorous
research now converge:
1. Mitochondrial dysfunction is both prevalent and causally significant in autism,
affecting approximately 5% of individuals with classical mitochondrial disease and
30% or more with subclinical bioenergetic abnormalities that correlate with
greater symptom severity (Frye et al., 2024).
2. Multiple vaccine components—including aluminum adjuvants, lipid nanoparticles
used in mRNA platforms, thimerosal-derived ethylmercury, and certain live
attenuated viruses—have been shown in peer-reviewed experimental studies to
impair mitochondrial function, reduce spare respiratory capacity, increase ROS
production, and trigger related stress responses (Masson et al., 2023; Cho et al.,
2025; Sciolino et al., 2022; Sharpe et al., 2012; Geier et al., 2009).
3. Population-level vaccinated-versus-unvaccinated studies consistently report
elevated odds ratios for ASD (typically 2.5–4.0 or higher) in vaccinated cohorts.
When evaluated using the Bradford Hill (1965) criteria, this body of evidence satisfies key
requirements for causality—including biological plausibility, coherence, temporality, and
mechanistic support—particularly in children with pre-existing mitochondrial
vulnerabilities. The persistent failure of mainstream epidemiology to detect these effects
is not evidence of safety; it reflects critical methodological limitations: inadequate
measurement of mitochondrial intermediates, insufficient statistical power for susceptible
subgroups, and a systematic conflation of “no population-level association detected” with
“no causal effect exists.”
This epistemological error has profound consequences. It has delayed recognition of
vulnerable subgroups, undermined public trust, and left families of children with
mitochondrial risk factors without clear guidance. The precautionary principle and basic
medical ethics demand more than repeated null-result studies that cannot test the actual
hypothesis.
The scientific path forward is clear and urgent. We must move beyond the current
disconnected evidentiary domains and conduct prospective studies that simultaneously
measure:
● Precise vaccine component exposure (dose, timing, formulation),
● Longitudinal mitochondrial biomarkers (respirometry, oxidative stress,
metabolomics, UPRmt activity),
● Neurodevelopmental outcomes in adequately powered cohorts, including those
stratified by mitochondrial genetics and function.
Until such studies are completed, intellectual honesty requires acknowledging that the
vaccine-mitochondria-autism hypothesis in susceptible individuals remains a credible and
testable explanation for a portion of the observed rise in ASD prevalence. The current
absence of definitive proof does not constitute proof of absence. The research
community now faces a clear choice: continue repeating designs ill-suited to detect
subgroup effects, or finally construct the empirical architecture necessary to resolve this
question with the rigor it deserves.
The tools, frameworks, and biological knowledge exist. What is needed is the institutional
will to apply them

The study, conducted by a leading wellness organization, found that 65% of respondents feel overwhelmed by constant news cycles, work pressures, financial concerns, and social media, leading to disrupted sleep, irritability, and difficulty focusing, while 82% believe that cultivating peace of mind would significantly improve their overall health and relationships. Younger adults reported the highest levels of stress, with many citing uncertainty about the future and economic pressures, whereas older respondents more frequently mentioned spiritual practices and gratitude exercises as reliable sources of calm. Experts noted that the findings reflect a broader cultural shift toward proactive mental wellness rather than reactive treatment, with simple, accessible habits like walking outdoors, deep breathing, and reducing caffeine and alcohol intake showing measurable benefits in reducing cortisol levels and improving mood. The survey also highlighted barriers such as lack of time and skepticism about effectiveness, but emphasized that even short daily practices can yield significant improvements in perceived well-being. Researchers recommend integrating peace-seeking habits into routines as a form of preventive self-care, suggesting that societal emphasis on productivity and constant connectivity has come at the expense of mental tranquility, and that reclaiming quiet, reflective time could help address the nation’s growing mental health crisis.

John Hewlett is the founder and formulator of Cardio Miracle. He created CARDIO MIRACLE in order to help the hearts of his fellow man. In fact, had it not been for his own personal experience with a nitric oxide boosting supplement, he may not have survived to share his story and later develop the finest nitric oxide supplement on the planet.

In 2007, Hewlett narrowly survived complications from an emergency appendectomy. The surgery and subsequent complications including internal bleeding from a nicked vein ultimately impacted his own genetic and emerging cardiovascular issues. While hospitalized in critical condition, the doctors recommended heart bypass surgery following multiple complications from the appendectomy, and he knew that it was time to search for natural alternatives.

This brush with death launched Hewlett on his quest to discover natural and effective ways of improving his cardiovascular and overall health. His pursuit eventually led him to a fascination with nitric oxide, and to leave his multi million dollar financial profession to advocate for nitric oxide during the past 16 years. In 2013, after several years of marketing and researching nitric oxide options, he determined that formulating his own product, with the latest science and organic and food based ingredients, was necessary to create the finest nitric oxide supplement in the world. Due to his own personal miracle, and because nitric oxide had been called the “miracle molecule” in leading medical and scientific periodicals, he decided to call his decade-plus masterpiece, CARDIO MIRACLE. Hewlett believed that the ingredients he had carefully researched and formulated would stimulate and express safe, sustained nitric oxide in the vasculature of the human body.

Kennedy stated that the agency will prioritize addressing the drivers of the chronic disease epidemic — including ultra-processed foods, pesticides, heavy metals, EMFs, and over-medicalization — while reforming regulatory processes at the FDA and CDC to emphasize transparency, safety, and individualized care rather than one-size-fits-all mandates. The announcement includes plans to overhaul the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, increase scrutiny of vaccine schedules and conflicts of interest, expand research into vaccine injuries, and integrate nutrition and lifestyle medicine into federal programs. Kennedy emphasized moving from a sick-care system focused on lifelong medication to one that builds genuine health through prevention, citing the failure of current approaches that have left half of American children with chronic conditions despite record healthcare spending. The shift aligns with the Make America Healthy Again agenda and has drawn praise from health freedom advocates for challenging pharmaceutical dominance, while critics argue it risks undermining established public health infrastructure. The policy changes are expected to influence school nutrition standards, food additive regulations, environmental protections, and medical education, with Kennedy calling on Congress and states to support the transition through legislation and funding realignment.

Under the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA), supplements are regulated as foods and allowed to make claims about supporting normal body structure or function, but the FDA has increasingly interpreted certain statements or ingredients as implying disease treatment, triggering drug-level requirements that most supplement makers cannot meet. Recent warning letters, product seizures, and draft guidances have targeted immune support, detoxification, and chronic disease risk reduction claims, effectively chilling the market and forcing reformulations or removals of popular items. ANH-USA argues that while the agency cites safety concerns, the real impact would be reduced competition and innovation in non-patentable natural products that address root causes rather than symptoms, while the existing framework already provides sufficient oversight through good manufacturing practices and adverse event reporting. The organization is mobilizing public comments and congressional outreach to oppose the FDA’s direction and preserve DSHEA’s intent of ensuring broad access to safe supplements without pre-market drug approval. The broader concern is that redefining supplements could limit options for prevention and self-care at a time when chronic disease rates continue to climb, further entrenching a medical model dominated by patented pharmaceuticals. ANH-USA urges supporters to contact lawmakers and submit comments during open rulemaking periods to defend supplement access and prevent regulatory overreach that could make many common vitamins, herbs, and minerals harder or more expensive to obtain.

The Evidence Suggests It Might. A research review and emerging laboratory and animal studies indicate that vaping may increase cancer risk through exposure to harmful substances in e-cigarette aerosols, including heavy metals, particulate matter, diacetyl, acrolein, benzene, and other chemicals, with cellular changes linked to DNA damage, inflammation, and tumor promotion observed in lung, liver, oral, bladder, and brain cells, even though long-term human data remain limited due to the relative novelty of e-cigarettes. Oncologist Mikkael Sekeres notes that while e-cigarettes were introduced as a less harmful nicotine-delivery alternative to traditional tobacco cigarettes, studies show they are not risk-free: users exhibit higher levels of cancer-associated inflammatory markers in saliva than non-smokers, and dual users of vaping and smoking face substantially elevated lung cancer risk compared to those who only smoke. Animal and cell-based experiments demonstrate that vaping aerosols can cause DNA damage and promote metastatic behavior in cancer cells, and a recent Australian review has shifted from calling for more research to expressing frank concern about e-cigarette carcinogenicity. Although definitive proof of vaping causing cancer in humans is not yet established — largely because widespread use is still relatively recent — the accumulating preclinical evidence, combined with known toxins in e-liquids, suggests potential harm that warrants caution, particularly for youth and non-smokers. Sekeres advises that while vaping may help some adults quit smoking, the safest approach is to avoid nicotine products altogether, discourage youth initiation, and pursue complete cessation rather than substitution, as long-term cancer risks may emerge with continued use.

In calls from Florida and discussions at the White House, Trump expressed frustration with the pace of approvals and sought advice from advisers who described Makary as a problem for the administration’s vaping agenda. The FDA’s announcement highlighted features in the Glas devices intended to prevent youth use, reversing a February memo in which Makary’s office said more time was needed to evaluate those safeguards. This development fulfills Trump’s 2024 campaign promise to “save vaping,” a reversal from his first term when the administration cracked down on flavored products amid a teen vaping surge. Makary has faced internal criticism and personnel challenges, including recent drug rejections and clashes over policy, and was previously considered for a figurehead role by HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. The White House defended the decision as guided by “Gold Standard Science” and aimed at correcting Biden-era policies, while anti-vaping and public health advocates expressed concern over potential increases in youth nicotine use. The episode highlights tensions between the administration’s pro-vaping stance and Makary’s caution on flavored products, amid ongoing debates over nicotine regulation and youth protection.

Anna Paulina Luna stated that the Senate may reinsert pesticide liability protections into the Farm Bill, potentially shielding manufacturers like Bayer (Monsanto) from lawsuits over cancer claims related to glyphosate-based herbicides such as Roundup, as the House version removed the provision amid pressure from the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement and ongoing Supreme Court arguments in cases challenging federal preemption of state failure-to-warn claims. The liability shield language, which would limit civil lawsuits by cancer patients and preempt state-level warnings, was stripped from the House Farm Bill but could be restored during Senate negotiations, according to Luna, who has supported agricultural interests while navigating tensions within the Republican Party over pesticide regulation and public health concerns. Environmental and health advocacy groups, including those aligned with MAHA, strongly oppose the protections, arguing they would deny justice to individuals harmed by glyphosate, which the International Agency for Research on Cancer classifies as a probable human carcinogen, while industry supporters contend that such measures are necessary to prevent frivolous litigation and ensure continued availability of essential agricultural tools. The development highlights ongoing battles over the Farm Bill, Supreme Court precedent on federal pesticide regulation, and the balance between farmer needs and calls for stricter oversight of chemicals linked to cancer and environmental harm.

Kennedy Jr. is advancing efforts to eliminate synthetic food dyes from the U.S. food supply, citing links to hyperactivity, behavioral issues in children, and other chronic health concerns, with the FDA moving forward on reviews and voluntary phase-outs while major food companies show varying levels of cooperation amid pressure from the Make America Healthy Again agenda. Several large manufacturers have announced timelines to transition away from artificial colors like Red 40, Yellow 5, and Blue 1 in favor of natural alternatives derived from fruits, vegetables, and spices, responding to consumer demand, state-level bans, and federal guidance encouraging reformulation to reduce potential neurodevelopmental risks. However, some prominent brands and smaller producers are holding out due to cost increases, technical challenges in achieving consistent color and shelf stability with natural substitutes, and concerns over consumer acceptance of altered appearances in familiar products. Kennedy has highlighted studies showing synthetic dyes may exacerbate ADHD-like symptoms and called for greater transparency and reduced reliance on petrochemical-derived additives in processed foods targeting children. The FDA is evaluating petitions and considering updated guidance on acceptable daily intakes while emphasizing voluntary industry action over immediate mandates, though critics argue the pace is too slow given the ubiquity of these dyes in cereals, snacks, beverages, and candies. The initiative aligns with broader MAHA priorities to address environmental and dietary contributors to chronic disease, with advocates pushing for mandatory labeling, stricter safety testing, and eventual bans similar to those already implemented in parts of Europe. Industry stakeholders note that reformulation requires significant investment in research and supply chains for natural colorants, which can be more expensive and less stable, potentially raising prices for consumers already facing food cost pressures. Public health groups and parents’ organizations have welcomed the momentum but urge faster regulatory action and independent oversight to ensure replacements are truly safer and effective. The developments reflect shifting expectations around food additives as scientific scrutiny and public awareness grow, with ongoing negotiations between regulators, industry, and health advocates shaping the future of colorful processed foods in American diets.

Researchers analyzed medical records from hundreds of thousands of patients and discovered that appendectomy was associated with an approximately 20–30% increased risk of Alzheimer’s diagnosis decades later, with the association persisting even after adjusting for factors such as age, sex, comorbidities, and surgical complications. The appendix is now understood to serve as a reservoir for beneficial gut bacteria and a site for training immune cells that help maintain microbial balance and prevent dysbiosis, which has been increasingly linked to neurodegenerative processes through the gut-brain axis. Removal of the appendix may disrupt this protective reservoir, leading to chronic low-grade inflammation or altered immune responses that contribute over time to amyloid plaque formation and cognitive decline. The findings add to growing evidence that seemingly minor organs and routine surgical interventions can have unexpected long-term consequences for brain health, challenging the historical view of the appendix as dispensable and highlighting the need for more conservative approaches to appendicitis management when possible, such as antibiotic therapy in select uncomplicated cases. Experts caution that while the observational study shows association rather than definitive causation, the biological plausibility supported by microbiome and immunology research warrants further investigation and consideration in clinical decision-making, especially for younger patients who may face decades of potential risk following surgery. The study underscores the importance of viewing the human body as an integrated system where interventions in one area can have cascading effects on distant organs like the brain, aligning with broader calls within functional and preventive medicine to prioritize preservation of natural anatomy and microbiome integrity whenever clinically safe.

Scientists have observed that the planet’s spin has been slowing gradually for billions of years, but the current acceleration of this slowdown is anomalous and coincides with rapid climate change, raising concerns about long-term impacts on timekeeping systems, satellite operations, GPS accuracy, and global telecommunications that rely on precise synchronization with Earth’s rotation. The addition of leap seconds has become more frequent in recent decades to keep atomic time aligned with solar time, but the accelerating trend may require more interventions or even a redefinition of the second. Researchers examined cyclostratigraphy in ancient rocks that preserve evidence of tidal cycles and day length from hundreds of millions of years ago, revealing that the present-day rate exceeds anything in the Cenozoic era. While natural processes like lunar recession are the dominant long-term drivers, anthropogenic climate change is now playing a measurable role by altering Earth’s moment of inertia through ice melt and sea-level rise. The findings highlight the interconnectedness of Earth’s climate, rotation dynamics, and human technological infrastructure, with experts warning that continued acceleration could complicate navigation, power grids, and financial systems that depend on ultra-precise timing. The study underscores the need for improved monitoring and modeling of rotational changes as humanity navigates an era of profound environmental transformation, where even subtle shifts in planetary physics can have cascading effects on modern civilization.

For decades, scientists have added positive leap seconds to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) to keep it aligned with solar time as Earth’s rotation gradually slowed due to tidal friction with the Moon, but recent high-precision measurements show the planet is now spinning marginally faster than in previous decades, likely influenced by melting polar ice redistributing mass, shifts in core-mantle interactions, and other geophysical factors. The International Earth Rotation and Reference Systems Service, responsible for monitoring these changes, has indicated that without correction the accumulated difference could necessitate subtracting one second to prevent systems from falling out of sync. This would mark a historic reversal from the long-standing practice of only adding time, presenting new engineering challenges for software and hardware primarily designed to handle positive leap seconds. While the change in rotation rate is very small — on the order of fractions of a millisecond per day — it accumulates over time and becomes significant for applications requiring nanosecond accuracy. Experts are actively discussing whether leap seconds should continue or if a new continuous time scale should eventually replace the current system. The development illustrates the intricate relationship between Earth’s dynamic interior, climate-driven changes, and the technological infrastructure of modern civilization, with scientists continuing close monitoring to determine the exact timing and best approach for any adjustment. The potential negative leap second serves as a reminder that even subtle planetary variations can have practical consequences for synchronized global systems built around the assumption of relatively stable day length.

Kennedy Jr., praising the push for greater transparency, independent review of the childhood vaccine schedule, investigation of environmental toxins, and a broader focus on root causes of chronic disease rather than perpetual pharmaceutical dependence, viewing these efforts as a long-overdue correction to institutional groupthink and regulatory capture that has dominated public health for decades. The immunologist, who has spent his career in academic and clinical settings without partisan alignment, argues that Kennedy’s emphasis on rigorous safety science, removal of conflicts of interest at agencies like the FDA and CDC, and willingness to question long-standing assumptions about vaccine cumulative effects and ultra-processed foods represents a rare opportunity to restore evidence-based medicine grounded in biology rather than bureaucratic consensus or industry influence. He notes specific positive developments including executive actions realigning the U.S. vaccine schedule with international peers that use fewer doses, increased scrutiny of synthetic food dyes and pesticides, and encouragement of nutrition-based approaches to chronic conditions, all of which signal a shift toward individualized risk assessment and informed consent. The author acknowledges political polarization around these issues but insists that examining public health data with fresh eyes—particularly rising rates of autism, autoimmune disorders, infertility, and metabolic disease—should transcend party lines and prioritize children’s long-term wellbeing over institutional inertia. He warns that without continued pressure for independent studies using proper controls and long-term follow-up, entrenched interests may undermine these reforms, but expresses cautious optimism that the current administration’s willingness to challenge sacred cows could lead to genuine improvements in American health outcomes. The op-ed calls on scientists, physicians, and the public to engage constructively with the MAHA agenda’s core principles of transparency, root-cause investigation, and medical freedom while maintaining rigorous standards of evidence, suggesting that this moment offers a chance to rebuild trust in public health institutions through honest accounting rather than continued narrative control.

School closures alone led to unprecedented learning deficits, particularly among disadvantaged students, with long-term consequences for future earnings and social mobility that far outweigh any marginal reduction in transmission, while lockdowns exacerbated isolation, depression, anxiety, and substance abuse, contributing to record overdose deaths and a measurable decline in life expectancy beyond direct viral impacts. Economic shutdowns devastated small businesses, increased poverty, and disrupted supply chains, with disproportionate effects on lower-income workers who could not work remotely, while policies suppressing early treatment options and natural immunity discussions delayed effective care and prolonged societal fear. Miller highlights how repeated booster campaigns coincided with periods of negative vaccine effectiveness in some datasets and rising all-cause mortality signals in highly vaccinated countries, questioning the risk-benefit calculus for healthy populations and younger age groups where COVID risks were minimal. The piece compiles data from excess mortality trackers, educational assessments, mental health surveys, and economic reports showing that many hard-hit regions implemented the strictest measures yet experienced similar or worse outcomes compared to more open jurisdictions, suggesting that voluntary measures and focused protection would have been superior. The analysis frames the response as a failure of evidence-based policy-making dominated by fear, groupthink, and centralized authority that sidelined dissenting scientists and ignored trade-offs, with lasting societal scars that include declining birth rates, workforce participation issues, and skepticism toward public health institutions. Miller calls for honest post-pandemic reckoning, accountability for decision-makers, and a return to principles of individualized risk assessment and informed consent to prevent similar overreactions in future health crises.

The research team analyzed DNA methylation patterns in umbilical cord blood from 571 infants, combined those data with gut microbiome samples collected from 969 infants at 2, 6, and 12 months of age, along with microbiome samples from the infants’ parents during the third trimester of pregnancy, and assessed neurodevelopment using behavioral questionnaires at 36 months. The FDA’s approach mirrors previous regulatory campaigns against supplements, homeopathy, and peptides by narrowing definitions, imposing drug-level requirements that small manufacturers cannot meet, and prioritizing pharmaceutical interests capable of navigating expensive approval pathways while sidelining affordable natural options that address root causes rather than symptoms. ANH-USA argues the proposal relies on flawed safety assessments that exaggerate risks at doses far exceeding typical consumer use while ignoring robust evidence of hemp’s favorable safety profile, historical use, and growing body of clinical data supporting benefits for conditions where conventional treatments often fall short or carry significant side effects. The organization emphasizes that hemp products have been legally available and widely consumed since the 2018 Farm Bill removed industrial hemp from the Controlled Substances Act, creating a thriving market that supports American farmers and provides consumers with accessible wellness tools amid the chronic disease epidemic. Critics within the health freedom community warn that the ban would devastate small businesses, eliminate consumer choice, drive the market underground, and contradict the spirit of the Make America Healthy Again agenda that seeks to reduce reliance on synthetic pharmaceuticals in favor of natural, regenerative approaches. ANH-USA is calling on supporters to submit public comments during the open docket period, contact lawmakers, and urge the FDA to withdraw the proposal in favor of risk-based regulation focused on genuine safety concerns such as heavy metal contamination or synthetic adulteration rather than broad prohibition of whole-plant derivatives. The piece stresses that sound science, not regulatory overreach, should guide policy on hemp, and that preserving access aligns with consumer autonomy, agricultural innovation, and evidence-based wellness strategies that complement rather than compete with conventional medicine. Without intervention, the FDA’s action could set a dangerous precedent for further restrictions on other botanicals and natural products, further consolidating control in the hands of large pharmaceutical companies.

It recalls how Nazi physicians justified horrific experiments on prisoners by claiming higher societal benefit and scientific necessity, leading the tribunal to enshrine principles of voluntary informed consent, avoidance of unnecessary suffering, and the requirement that experiments yield fruitful results for society that cannot be obtained by other means. The piece argues that during the COVID-19 response, governments, agencies, and pharmaceutical companies bypassed these foundational ethics by mandating experimental mRNA products, suppressing early treatment options, censoring dissenting scientists, and denying natural immunity, all while claiming the greater good justified coercion and withholding of risk information. It highlights how regulatory shortcuts, liability shields, and pressure on media and platforms mirrored the authoritarian medical culture the Nuremberg Code was designed to prevent, with individuals losing jobs, education, and medical care for refusing participation in what many viewed as a massive, non-consensual clinical trial. The author warns that without renewed commitment to Nuremberg principles — particularly informed consent and the right to refuse — society risks normalizing a medical technocracy where individual bodily autonomy is subordinated to public health goals defined by unelected officials and corporate interests. It calls for full transparency on adverse events, independent long-term studies, removal of liability protections for emergency-use products, and restoration of medical ethics that prioritize the individual over collective compliance. The comparison serves as both historical reminder and urgent caution that ethical boundaries eroded in the name of crisis can lead to lasting damage to trust, freedom, and human dignity if not actively defended.

The idea gained popularity through a 1995 paper by historian A. Roger Ekirch that interpreted literary references to “first sleep” and “second sleep” in pre-industrial Europe as evidence of a universal biphasic rhythm, but subsequent research using actigraphy, sleep diaries, and studies of contemporary hunter-gatherer societies has shown that while some individuals naturally wake briefly in the middle of the night, true segmented sleep with a deliberate one- to two-hour awake period is not the default human pattern and is more likely a cultural adaptation to long winter nights, limited artificial lighting, and specific social or economic conditions rather than an innate biological necessity. Modern sleep science emphasizes that consolidated sleep supports deeper restorative stages, memory consolidation, hormone regulation, and immune function, while frequent or prolonged nighttime awakenings are more often linked to stress, poor sleep hygiene, blue light exposure, irregular schedules, or underlying health issues than to a supposed ancestral norm. Experts caution that promoting the biphasic myth can create unnecessary anxiety about “normal” sleep, leading people to worry about middle-of-the-night wakefulness that is actually common and benign if brief, or to experiment with segmented schedules that may disrupt circadian rhythms and reduce overall sleep quality. The article stresses the importance of consistent bedtime routines, dark cool environments, and addressing lifestyle factors over romanticizing pre-industrial sleep patterns, noting that while historical flexibility existed, the majority of evidence supports consolidated nocturnal sleep as optimal for health and cognitive performance in today’s context. Researchers recommend focusing on total sleep duration and quality rather than forcing artificial segmentation, warning that chasing an idealized historical model can exacerbate insomnia through performance anxiety and unrealistic expectations about nighttime awakenings.

The phase 1 trial enrolled 39 healthy adults aged 18-50 who had previously been vaccinated against COVID-19 and used a needle-free, pressure-based delivery device to administer two doses at varying levels (0.2 mg, 0.4 mg, 0.8 mg, and 1.2 mg) 28 days apart. The vaccine proved safe and well tolerated across all doses with no serious adverse reactions, though immune responses were modest and did not show clear dose-dependent increases in antibody levels or strong neutralizing activity against tested variants. Researchers noted that the trial occurred during the Omicron wave, complicating interpretation due to varying prior exposure histories among participants. While the vaccine successfully directed the immune system toward key conserved viral regions, the magnitude of the response fell short of what would be ideal for broad protection. The study, published in the Journal of Infection, demonstrated the feasibility of needle-free DNA vaccine delivery and supported further development of this pan-sarbecovirus approach, though larger trials with optimized dosing and comparison groups will be needed. Limitations included small group sizes, in-house immune assays, and the impact of concurrent infections during the trial period. The work, led by researchers from the University of Cambridge and University of Southampton, represents an early step toward vaccines that could address the recurring threat of coronavirus outbreaks by focusing on stable viral structures rather than strain-specific features.

The phenomenon, sometimes called “Ozempic face” or “Ozempic body” when it affects facial features or skin elasticity, stems from rapid fat loss outpacing the skin’s ability to retract, combined with potential muscle loss (sarcopenia) during treatment if resistance training and adequate protein intake are not prioritized, leading to a hollowed or aged appearance that can trigger new body image struggles, social withdrawal, and the need for expensive cosmetic interventions such as skin removal surgery, fillers, or laser treatments costing tens of thousands of dollars. Patients report feeling victorious on the scale but demoralized by excess abdominal skin, hanging arms, flattened buttocks, and facial hollowing that makes them look older or unwell, with some describing the experience as trading one form of body dissatisfaction for another. Medical experts note that older patients, those with greater starting weight, and individuals on the drugs for extended periods face higher risks of significant skin laxity due to reduced collagen production with age and the speed of fat mobilization, while nutritionists emphasize the importance of strength training, collagen supplementation, and slow tapering to mitigate muscle wasting and metabolic slowdown. The article highlights stories of individuals who lost 100+ pounds yet required multiple surgeries to remove “ghost fat,” underscoring the physical, emotional, and financial toll that often follows the initial excitement of GLP-1 success. As these medications become more mainstream for obesity and type 2 diabetes management, clinicians are calling for better patient education on realistic expectations, proactive lifestyle measures during treatment, and multidisciplinary support including dermatology and plastic surgery referrals to address the full spectrum of post-weight-loss challenges. The surge in demand for body contouring procedures reflects both the effectiveness of the drugs and the unforeseen aesthetic and psychological hurdles many users encounter once the weight is gone.

Without true consumer sovereignty, price discovery, and liability exposure, the sector operates more like a command economy than a market, with government mandates, subsidies, regulatory capture, and liability shields creating artificial demand and insulating producers from the consequences of adverse events or product failures. This top-down approach prevents the feedback loops essential for rational economic planning, resulting in schedules that expand regardless of marginal benefit, safety data that is selectively interpreted or suppressed, and a one-size-fits-all model that ignores individual genetic, environmental, and health variations. The article contrasts this with other medical markets where competition and informed choice drive quality and innovation, noting that vaccine manufacturers enjoy unique protections under the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act and emergency use authorizations that further disconnect production decisions from real-world outcomes and consumer preferences. Critics argue that public health bureaucracies cannot replicate the knowledge generated through decentralized trial-and-error processes, leading to over-vaccination, chronic disease correlations that remain under-investigated, and eroded public trust when policies appear driven by politics and profit rather than evidence. The piece calls for restoring market principles through informed consent, removal of liability protections for routine vaccines, transparent independent safety studies, and greater parental and individual autonomy, warning that without such reforms the vaccine sector will continue to suffer the same inefficiencies and unintended harms seen in other centrally planned systems. By applying Mises’ insights, the author illustrates how the illusion of scientific certainty masks profound economic and ethical failures, urging a return to voluntary, transparent, and competitive mechanisms that better align incentives with human wellbeing and allow genuine progress in preventing and treating disease.

Scientists have found that patients with richer gut microbiomes tend to respond better to checkpoint inhibitors and other targeted therapies, while those with dysbiosis or low microbial diversity often experience poorer results, higher rates of treatment resistance, and increased side effects such as colitis or fatigue. The gut’s trillions of bacteria influence immune system regulation, inflammation levels, and drug metabolism, with specific beneficial species producing metabolites that enhance T-cell activity and anti-tumor immunity. Studies show that interventions like fecal microbiota transplants, targeted probiotics, dietary changes rich in fiber and fermented foods, and even temporary antibiotic adjustments can reshape the microbiome and potentially boost treatment efficacy, leading some cancer centers to incorporate gut health assessments into personalized care plans. Researchers emphasize that while the field is still developing, the evidence is strong enough to recommend practical steps such as increasing plant-based fiber intake, minimizing unnecessary antibiotics, and managing stress to support microbial balance during cancer therapy. However, experts caution that microbiome modulation is not a replacement for standard treatments and that more large-scale clinical trials are needed to establish clear protocols and identify which patients would benefit most from gut-focused interventions. The growing recognition of the gut-cancer axis represents a shift toward viewing the microbiome as a modifiable factor in oncology, offering new hope for improving outcomes in patients who do not initially respond well to conventional therapies and highlighting the interconnectedness of digestive health, immunity, and cancer progression.

Researchers analyzed data from thousands of patients and found that those taking dihydropyridine calcium channel blockers experienced faster progression of kidney disease markers, including steeper declines in estimated glomerular filtration rate and higher rates of proteinuria, compared to patients on alternative antihypertensive therapies like ACE inhibitors or ARBs. The study suggests these drugs may increase intraglomerular pressure or exert other direct effects on renal vasculature that prove detrimental when diabetes is already damaging the kidneys’ filtering units. Experts note that while calcium channel blockers remain effective for blood pressure control and cardiovascular protection in many patients, their use in diabetic kidney disease may require more careful risk-benefit assessment, potentially favoring renin-angiotensin system blockers as first-line agents when tolerated. The findings highlight the importance of individualized treatment in patients with multiple comorbidities and call for further randomized trials to confirm causality and identify which subgroups are most vulnerable. Clinicians are advised to monitor kidney function more closely when initiating or continuing these medications in diabetic patients and to consider alternative agents or combination therapies when appropriate. The research adds to growing evidence that not all blood pressure drugs have equivalent renal protective effects in the context of diabetes, underscoring the need for precision medicine approaches rather than one-size-fits-all prescribing patterns. While the absolute risk increase appears modest, the high prevalence of both hypertension and type 2 diabetes means even small effects could impact large numbers of patients globally. Medical organizations may need to revisit guidelines to incorporate these emerging signals and emphasize regular renal function surveillance for patients on dihydropyridine calcium channel blockers with concurrent diabetes and kidney disease.

AMA CEO Dr. John Whyte outlined the initiative during a speech to the organization’s policy-making House of Delegates in Chicago, emphasizing the need to counter forces undermining confidence in evidence-based care amid ongoing debates over vaccine policy, emerging technologies, and public health measures. The campaign will focus on encouraging patients to consult physicians as trusted sources while addressing misinformation spread online, including AI-generated deepfakes and false medical claims. The effort comes against the backdrop of vaccine policy shifts under the Trump administration and HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., with the AMA having publicly opposed changes it says put children at risk and weaken evidence-based preventive care. The organization did not disclose the campaign budget or full details, which will be released in coming months. Whyte described medicine as entering a new era with accelerating technological change and tested institutional trust, positioning the AMA as the leading partner for physicians navigating these shifts. The announcement reflects the AMA’s broader strategy to maintain influence and public confidence amid rising chronic disease rates, alternative health movements, and criticism of pharmaceutical and regulatory practices. Supporters view the campaign as a necessary defense of science-based medicine, while critics argue it may prioritize institutional narratives over transparent debate on topics such as vaccine schedules, chronic disease drivers, and regulatory capture. The initiative highlights ongoing tensions in American healthcare between traditional medical authorities and growing demands for greater scrutiny, informed consent, and root-cause approaches to health issues.

The study, conducted by researchers at institutions including University College London and the University of California, found that spontaneous laughter triggers widespread activation in the prefrontal cortex, hippocampus, amygdala, and reward centers, releasing a cascade of neurotransmitters including dopamine, endorphins, and serotonin that strengthen neural connections and promote neuroplasticity. Participants who engaged in laughter-inducing activities showed improved performance on memory recall tests and creative thinking tasks in the hours following, with effects persisting longer than those from traditional meditation or relaxation techniques. Scientists noted that the physical act of laughing increases oxygenation to the brain, reduces cortisol levels, and stimulates the default mode network associated with introspection and creativity, effectively giving the brain a multifaceted workout that combines emotional processing, social cognition, and executive function. The findings suggest that incorporating regular laughter — through comedy, social interaction, or even forced laughter exercises — could serve as an accessible, low-cost intervention for cognitive health, particularly beneficial for aging populations at risk of cognitive decline or individuals managing stress-related conditions. Experts recommend seeking out humor intentionally as part of daily routines, noting that shared laughter with others amplifies the neurological rewards through additional social bonding mechanisms. While more long-term studies are needed, the research adds to growing evidence that positive emotional states have measurable impacts on brain structure and function, challenging purely pharmacological approaches to mental wellness and highlighting laughter as a powerful, natural tool for maintaining cognitive sharpness and emotional resilience throughout life.+

Question of The Day!

Need your help!!!
My little girl has been playing on a turf field that uses crumb rubber for infill for 2 consecutive summers now. Last week (first week of playing on this field this year) she comes home everyday covered with black dust from head to toe. My wife tells me she looks the same as last summer but I don’t remember that. Anyway, I start looking up info about crumb rubber infill, and although there is little or conflicting data about safety, there is plenty of data about heavy metals, VOC’s, and other cancer causing chemicals. In short, I have pulled my little girl from the summer camp that uses this field and I am asking for your help on how to remove/detox from all the crap she has breathed in… Unfortunately, my job does not allow me to wear ear pods to listen to your show anymore, I would really appreciate a return email.
I feel like such an awful parent!

This Sunday Conversation with Super Don centers on one of the most important questions any of us will ever face: how do we find the strength to begin healing when we feel at our weakest? What unfolds is not simply a discussion about physical health, but a much deeper exploration of suffering, resilience, self-worth, personal responsibility, spiritual guidance, and the often difficult first steps that begin every meaningful transformation.

I reflect on my own healing journey and the reality that most people rarely begin seeking profound change when everything is going well. More often, healing starts when we reach a point where something inside quietly but firmly says, “I cannot keep living this way.” Whether the struggle is physical illness, emotional pain, spiritual exhaustion, or a sense of being stuck, that moment of surrender can become the doorway to growth. What feels like weakness may actually be the first sign that genuine strength is beginning to emerge.

The conversation explores the uncomfortable truth that every person has a different threshold for suffering. Some endure pain for years before seeking help. Others recognize much earlier that a course correction is needed. Yet regardless of where that threshold lies, healing requires honesty. It requires looking at where we are, what is no longer serving us, and whether we truly desire the change we claim to want. That kind of self-examination is rarely easy, but it is often necessary.

Super Don brings a grounded perspective to the discussion, pointing out that healing is not limited to the body. Emotional wounds, broken relationships, depression, trauma, addiction, and spiritual struggles all require healing as well. We explore how people often become identified with their pain, carrying old wounds so long that those wounds begin to feel like part of who they are. The challenge then becomes separating our identity from our suffering and realizing that brokenness does not have to define the future.

A recurring theme throughout the conversation is the importance of personal responsibility. Not blame. Not shame. Responsibility. We discuss how no healer, doctor, therapist, coach, or spiritual teacher can do the work for another person. They can guide, encourage, teach, and support, but ultimately the decision to heal belongs to the individual. The willingness to take ownership of one’s path becomes a critical turning point in any healing journey.

We also explore the reality that healing rarely follows a single formula. Different people resonate with different approaches. For some, the doorway may be nutrition. For others, homeopathy, counseling, spiritual practice, plant medicines, prayer, community support, or a combination of many different tools. The journey is deeply personal, and what works for one person may not be the path another person needs to take.

The conversation then turns toward the emotional and spiritual barriers that often prevent healing from beginning at all. Feelings of unworthiness, guilt, shame, self-judgment, and unresolved trauma can quietly sabotage progress before it ever starts. We discuss how many people unknowingly carry beliefs that tell them they do not deserve healing, happiness, or peace. Until those beliefs are acknowledged and addressed, even the best healing protocols may struggle to gain traction.

One of the most powerful insights to emerge is the idea that strength is not something we wait to find before beginning. Strength often appears because we begin. The first step, however small, becomes the catalyst that awakens the next step. Courage is not the absence of fear. It is the willingness to move forward despite uncertainty.

As the conversation comes to a close, we return to the importance of sincere seeking. Whether through prayer, meditation, spiritual practice, or simple honesty with ourselves, there is tremendous power in genuinely asking for help and remaining open to the guidance that follows. The answers may not arrive exactly as expected, but the willingness to ask can become the beginning of profound transformation.

Because in the end, healing is not reserved for those who already feel strong. Healing often begins when we finally acknowledge that we cannot do it alone, and in that moment of vulnerability, discover a strength we never knew was there.

Florida pediatrician Dr. Brian Thornburg stated that pediatricians get zero training in identifying vaccine injuries and that medical board exams require knowledge of the schedule but contain no questions about potential complications or injuries. Texas pediatrician Dr. Osvaldo Villarreal noted that vaccine injuries are not recognized or discussed in medical schools, while Dr. Joseph Varon of the Independent Medical Alliance said training covers common reactions like fever or injection-site issues but offers little practical experience with uncommon, delayed, or complex presentations. A 2023 study in AJPM Focus found that 79% of first- and second-year medical students reported insufficient coverage of vaccine topics, with many calling for expanded education on policy, development, testing, and risks. Dr. Larry Palevsky and Dr. Kimberly Biss described similar experiences of minimal or no instruction on injuries or ingredients during their training, and Dr. Jane Orient highlighted the absence of education on reporting systems like VAERS or the statute of limitations for compensation claims. Experts noted that any discussion of risks is often framed as rare and controversial, with emphasis overwhelmingly on benefits, leaving physicians unprepared to evaluate patients who develop new symptoms post-vaccination. The pattern reflects a broader tendency in medical education to present vaccines as an unqualified success story, potentially contributing to under-recognition of injuries and challenges in addressing parental concerns or seeking non-pharmaceutical approaches.

The review, which presented an overall positive picture of flu vaccination benefits in the elderly, did not adequately address the Pfizer study’s negative results on clinical outcomes such as reduced hospitalizations or deaths, despite the trial’s size and relevance, prompting accusations that the journal prioritized narrative consistency over comprehensive evidence. Critics argue this omission distorts the risk-benefit assessment for seniors, a population with high flu vaccination rates but questionable evidence of meaningful protection, and contributes to ongoing overconfidence in annual flu shots despite historically modest and variable effectiveness. The episode fits a broader pattern of publication bias where negative or inconvenient trial results are minimized, buried in supplements, or excluded from high-impact summaries, eroding trust in the scientific process at a time when public skepticism toward pharmaceutical products and regulatory bodies remains elevated. Brownstone Institute and independent analysts highlighted the discrepancy as emblematic of deeper problems in peer review, conflicts of interest, and the tendency of prestigious journals to protect institutional narratives rather than rigorously interrogate data, especially when they challenge routine recommendations. The controversy underscores calls for greater transparency, mandatory registration and reporting of all trial outcomes, and independent re-analysis of flu vaccine data in high-risk groups, particularly as the Make America Healthy Again movement pushes for root-cause approaches to respiratory illness and reduced reliance on annual vaccinations with limited long-term evidence. Defenders of the journal maintain that space constraints and editorial discretion guide inclusion decisions, but critics counter that selective omission of a major manufacturer’s failed trial in the target population constitutes scientific malpractice with real-world consequences for informed consent and public health policy. The incident adds to mounting scrutiny of how medical journals handle pharmaceutical-sponsored research and whether current practices serve patients or perpetuate a cycle of overstated benefits and underreported limitations.

The comment window follows Moderna’s submission of clinical trial data for the mRNA flu candidate, which uses the same technology platform as its COVID-19 shots, raising questions about whether the agency will apply rigorous scrutiny or fast-track the product under pressure to expand mRNA applications beyond COVID. Critics within the health freedom community argue that public input is essential given the history of rushed mRNA authorizations, inadequate placebo-controlled safety studies for the full childhood and adult schedules, and emerging signals of immune imprinting, IgG4 class switching, and other unintended effects observed with repeated dosing of similar products. Supporters of the technology maintain that mRNA allows rapid adaptation to circulating flu strains and could improve upon traditional egg-based or cell-based flu vaccines that often mismatch dominant variants. The FDA’s move comes as the agency faces internal turnover, leadership changes, and broader MAHA-driven scrutiny of pharmaceutical influence, accelerated approval pathways, and the need for transparent risk-benefit analysis, particularly for annual products administered to healthy populations including children and pregnant women. Jon Fleetwood notes that the comment period provides a rare formal channel for concerned citizens, physicians, and scientists to highlight potential risks, demand longer follow-up data, and question the wisdom of adding another mRNA product to an already crowded schedule without addressing cumulative effects or true informed consent. The development underscores ongoing debates over the expansion of mRNA technology into routine vaccines while public trust in regulatory processes remains low following the COVID-19 era. Comments can be submitted through the official docket, with the period offering a limited window for public participation before final regulatory decisions are made.

Founder & Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director of Government Affairs Darrlene Alquiza is the CEO, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Government Affairs at Informed Policy Advocates. She holds a Science Degree in Child and Adolescent Development with a special interest in research methodology and a Master’s Degree in Human Development, specializing in early childhood education with a special interest in brain development. Darrlene’s academic background and professional experience as a classroom teacher, education director, education and parenting consultant, and professor makes her a subject matter expert for educational, parental, and children’s rights. She has been advocating for education rights since 2003 and co-founded PERK in 2019, serving as the Education and Advocacy Director. With over 20 years of experience as an educator and advocate, she is committed to protecting children and families.

Informed Policy Advocates:

In 2019, the founders first met fighting a bill that would breed discrimination and deny children access to school. They with a few others created a 501(c)(3), Protection of the Educational Rights of Kids (PERK), which successfully fought against restrictive medical mandates and protected the rights of parents, children, educators, and essential workers. The founders achieved significant victories by halting detrimental bills in the legislature, while building relationships with state representatives and key leaders in Sacramento.

After five years of successful advocacy wins, Darrlene, Jessica, and Kris recognized that California’s constantly evolving policy landscape required a more focused and targeted approach. This insight led to moving on from PERK and the creation of Informed Policy Advocates (IPA), a 501(c)(4) organization dedicated to reforming California’s medical mandate policies and advocating for stronger consumer protections and civil rights. IPA’s mission is to drive long-term, sustainable change within California’s legislative framework, ensuring the health and safety of its residents while protecting civil and consumer rights.

Researchers from the Eurac Research Institute in Bolzano, Italy, carefully isolated viable yeast cells from Ötzi’s preserved intestinal contents, which contained remnants of his final meal including ibex meat, grains, and traces of the yeast that helped ferment his food. After culturing the ancient strain, they combined it with modern flour and water to create a sourdough starter that produced bread with a complex, earthy flavor profile distinct from contemporary commercial yeasts, confirming the continuity of certain wild yeast lineages over millennia. The project not only demonstrates the remarkable resilience of some microorganisms but also provides a tangible connection to Ötzi’s daily life, showing that his community practiced fermentation techniques similar to those still used in traditional sourdough baking today. Genetic analysis revealed the yeast belongs to a lineage related to strains found in modern European sourdough and beer production, suggesting long-term human-yeast co-evolution tied to agriculture and food preservation. The bread was baked and sampled by researchers and presented as a symbolic reconstruction of Neolithic foodways, highlighting how ancient people leveraged naturally occurring microbes for nutrition and flavor long before the invention of commercial baking yeast. The study adds to the growing body of research on ancient microbiomes and paleodiet, illustrating how preserved human remains continue to reveal details about prehistoric health, diet, and food technology that written records cannot capture. Experts noted the success of reviving the yeast underscores the potential for further archaeological microbiology projects that could illuminate historical food practices, microbial diversity, and even clues to modern gut health by comparing ancient and contemporary microbial communities.

Washington, an avid brewer at Mount Vernon who kept detailed notes on his small-scale production, documented a recipe that called for a mix of barley, hops, and other grains to create a strong, nourishing beverage suitable for his household, workers, and guests, reflecting the self-sufficient farming practices common among colonial planters. The library’s team accessed Washington’s original papers and correspondence to ensure historical accuracy, working with craft brewers who adapted the recipe for modern small-batch production while preserving the spirit and flavor profile of the colonial-era beer, which was likely robust, somewhat cloudy, and higher in alcohol content than many contemporary lagers. The project highlights Washington’s role not only as a military and political leader but also as a practical farmer and entrepreneur who experimented with various crops and brewing methods to sustain his estate. Tastings and educational events are planned around the recreated beer to engage the public with early American foodways, self-reliance, and the cultural importance of brewing in the founding era, when beer and cider were safer to drink than water in many communities. The initiative is part of broader America 250 programming that seeks to connect modern Americans with the daily lives and innovations of the Revolutionary period, showcasing how figures like Washington balanced leadership with hands-on agricultural management. Historians note that Washington’s beer was likely consumed regularly at Mount Vernon and shared with visitors, embodying the resourcefulness and hospitality of the time. The recreation effort underscores growing public interest in historical food and drink as living history, with the New York Public Library using its vast archival collections to make primary sources accessible and relevant for contemporary audiences. The beer is expected to be featured at select events and possibly made available in limited releases through partner breweries as part of the lead-up to the 2026 semiquincentennial celebrations.

For the past 37 years, Jonathan W. Emord has litigated against the federal bureaucracy, winning over and over again. Ron Paul calls Jonathan “an expert in constitutional theory and history” and “an expert litigator with a long string of legal victories over the federal bureaucracy.” George Noory calls him “a Knight in Shining Armor” and “a warrior out to save our rights.” Congressmen Dan Burton and John Doolittle describe him as “an intellectual warrior for the rights and freedoms of people in America.” Jonathan has a unique, detailed knowledge of the federal bureaucracy, the deep state. He knows how to defeat it. Jonathan graduated from the University of Illinois (BA, political science and history, 1982) and DePaul University College of Law (JD, 1985). He served as an attorney in the Federal Communications Commission during the Reagan administration. A leading constitutional law and litigation expert, he is the author of five critically acclaimed books. He has won more cases against the Food and Drug Administration in federal court than any other attorney in American history, earning him the nickname “FDA Dragon Slayer.” He is a columnist for Townhall.com, PJ Media.com, Americangreatness.com, and the U.S.A. Today Magazine. He frequently appears on national radio and television programs. He is married to Sheryl Emord, and they have two children, twins Justice and Angelica. The measure, which passed on a narrow vote with support from a coalition of progressive Democrats and libertarian-leaning Republicans, invokes the War Powers Resolution to require the president to cease unauthorized hostilities and seek congressional approval for any continued operations, reflecting frustration with executive overreach and the lack of a formal declaration of war. Supporters argued that the strikes and ongoing presence risk escalating into a broader regional conflict without clear strategic objectives or exit strategy, citing high financial costs, American casualties, strained alliances, and the potential for wider instability affecting oil markets and global security. The resolution faces an uphill battle in the Senate and is expected to encounter a veto from Trump, who has defended his administration’s actions as necessary to counter Iranian aggression, protect U.S. interests, and support allies in the region. Critics within the administration and hawkish congressional circles denounced the move as undermining national security and emboldening adversaries, while MAHA-aligned voices and fiscal conservatives welcomed it as a step toward restraint and refocusing resources on domestic priorities such as chronic disease and border security. The development highlights deep divisions within the Republican Party and Congress over executive war powers, with the vote serving as a symbolic rebuke that could influence future funding debates and diplomatic negotiations. Analysts note it reflects shifting public sentiment against endless wars and a desire for greater congressional oversight in military decisions, though its practical impact may remain limited without Senate passage and veto-proof majorities. The episode underscores ongoing tensions between the legislative and executive branches regarding U.S. military commitments abroad.

The FDA first attempted to ban the devices in 2013 and tried again in 2020, but a federal appeals court overruled the 2020 ban, citing lack of authority; Congress later granted the agency clearer power in 2022, yet no final rule has emerged despite overwhelming public comments in favor of prohibition. Advocates describe the shocks as painful punishment causing trauma, PTSD, and long-term harm, with former resident Aleyda Martinez recounting routine shocks for speaking Spanish or protesting mistreatment, while Robyn Linscott of The Arc called the continued use “dystopian.” JRC Executive Director Glenda Crookes defended the treatment as a last resort that produces “miraculous” results for dangerous behaviors when other interventions fail, requiring family and judicial approval. The practice has faced decades of criticism, including a UN description as potential “torture” and opposition from the American Academy of Pediatrics. Disability advocates fear further delays will prolong harm to vulnerable individuals, with one noting it would feel like “salt in the wound” if the ban is not enacted. The FDA has not responded to requests for comment on next steps, leaving uncertainty about when or whether the devices will finally be prohibited despite years of advocacy and legal battles. The missed deadline highlights ongoing tensions between behavioral control methods and human rights concerns in institutions serving people with developmental disabilities.

Cory Booker’s insistence during Justice Kavanaugh’s hearings that Christine Blasey Ford simply “told her truth” exemplified this disregard for factual evidence, as did Bill Clinton’s infamous parsing of the word “is” to deny his affair with Monica Lewinsky. During COVID, governments enforced mandates that defied logic — closing small businesses while keeping big-box stores open, requiring masks and distancing measures with minimal scientific support, and forcing experimental injections on those with natural immunity — all while dismissing public questions with platitudes like “working at the speed of science.” The gender ideology movement insists biological sex is a social construct, with Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson claiming she could not define “woman” because she is “not a biologist,” and Democrats pushing legislation to outlaw challenges to climate change consensus, effectively banning the scientific method itself. When truth becomes fluid and politicians decide what is “true,” society descends into meaninglessness where compliance replaces inquiry, and power, not evidence, determines reality. The order follows a federal court pause on earlier HHS changes under Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. that reduced recommended diseases from 17 to 11, adjusted ACIP membership, delayed certain combination vaccines, and ended universal newborn hepatitis B recommendations, aiming to promote scientific alignment, parental choice, and informed consent while preserving access to currently available vaccines. Supporters within the Make America Healthy Again community view the directive as validation of long-standing concerns over the expansive U.S. schedule’s potential contribution to chronic disease rates, with researchers like Neil Z. Miller highlighting that many developed countries maintain smaller universal sets supplemented by risk-based recommendations for specific populations. The move has reignited national debate on immunization policy, religious and philosophical exemptions, federal versus state authority, and the balance between population-level recommendations and individualized medical decision-making for children. Critics including the American Academy of Pediatrics have signaled opposition, framing the realignment as undermining established public health infrastructure, while MAHA advocates and health freedom groups call for concrete reductions, removal of liability shields, and rigorous independent safety studies on the cumulative effects of multiple vaccines. The executive order does not immediately alter the existing schedule but provides high-level policy direction amid multiple ongoing lawsuits, shifting ACIP dynamics, and midterm political considerations, serving as a framework for future regulatory adjustments and reflecting ongoing tensions between institutional resistance from public health agencies and demands for greater transparency, schedule review, and root-cause approaches to America’s chronic illness epidemic. Observers note it may help shore up support among health-conscious voters while avoiding direct confrontation with entrenched vaccine programs, with the administration emphasizing alignment with international best practices rather than outright elimination of recommendations. The development underscores deepening divisions over who should govern childhood vaccine policy and whether the current U.S. schedule requires fundamental reevaluation in light of international comparisons and rising chronic disease trends.

Drawing from decades of experience in Congress, presidential campaigns, and educational outreach through the Ron Paul Institute and his books, Paul emphasized that while ideological consistency is vital, political reality requires building coalitions with those who share core commitments to limited government, free markets, and peace, even if they do not yet embrace the full libertarian worldview. He warned that the greatest threats today come from centralized power in Washington, central banks, intelligence agencies, and global institutions that undermine sovereignty and prosperity, and that libertarians and classical liberals must prioritize education, sound money advocacy, ending the Fed, rejecting militarism, and restoring constitutional restraints over factional infighting. Paul highlighted progress in growing public awareness of issues like vaccine skepticism, monetary reform, and opposition to foreign entanglements, crediting the internet and alternative media for bypassing gatekeepers, while cautioning against complacency as new forms of censorship and technocratic control emerge. The speech served as both celebration of a lifetime of principled advocacy and a strategic call for unity in the face of authoritarian trends, reminding the audience that Hayek himself understood the importance of ideas having consequences and that incremental steps toward liberty are valuable even as the ultimate goal remains a truly free society. Paul’s message resonated as a timely reminder that the liberty movement’s strength lies in its diversity of tactics united by shared principles rather than rigid orthodoxy.

During a recent appearance, Johnson highlighted the lack of rigorous follow-up on excess mortality trends, turbo cancers, and other adverse events reported after widespread mRNA deployment, arguing that the public has been denied a full accounting of potential harms while officials and pharmaceutical companies continue to promote boosters and maintain liability protections. He pointed to whistleblower accounts, pathologists’ observations of unusual cancers in younger patients, and the absence of long-term safety studies as reasons for concern, contrasting the intense promotion of the shots with the relative silence on injuries affecting athletes, military members, and everyday citizens. Johnson stressed that true public health requires honest examination rather than narrative protection, noting that censorship during the pandemic set a dangerous precedent that continues to hinder open scientific debate. The senator’s remarks align with broader Make America Healthy Again efforts to demand greater transparency from agencies like the FDA, CDC, and NIH, and to reevaluate the childhood schedule and adult booster recommendations in light of chronic disease trends. Critics of the current system argue that financial conflicts, regulatory capture, and political pressures have prevented adequate investigation, while supporters of the vaccines maintain that benefits outweigh risks based on large-scale efficacy trials and real-world data. Johnson called on journalists and lawmakers to prioritize facts over consensus, warning that failure to address potential vaccine-related harms undermines trust in all medical interventions and leaves affected families without acknowledgment or support. The comments come amid ongoing litigation, calls for independent reviews, and shifting public sentiment toward greater medical freedom and informed consent.
