Kurt Wiegel has a new review up, this time for the new Realms of Cthulhu supplement for Savage Worlds. Being a big fan of Savage Worlds and anything Cthulhu-related, I’m chomping at the bit to see this book for myself!

In regards to alternate systems, Trail of Cthulhu is perfect for more investigative games, in my opinion. However, if you want something more pulpy then I think Savage Worlds is a fantastic fit, and for that sort of campaign this book would be invaluable (from what I can tell).

Wizards Signs New Deal with Stainless Games

A little older news but still worthy of mention. It looks like we will probably be getting more Magic The Gathering games via our Xboxs in the near future as Wizards of the Coast have signe a new deal with Stainless Games who developed Duels of the Planeswalkers. I hear it is quite a good game. I wonder if we will start getting a full blown digital Magic The Gathering game on our consoles. I can see a market for it. I know lots of peoples who are fans of Duels of the Planeswalkers want to do custom decks and more cards. Food for thought Wizards.

I am a pretty big fan of the Call of Cthulhu LCG as it offers a different and more strategic gameplay compared to the more direct Magic The Gathering. But thats just my little opinion.

Well looks like Paizo is on a roll with the Pathfinder series. Now heading your way are Fiction Subscriptions along with a new Fiction Line of products. The first novel in the series will be Winter Witch by Elaine Cunningham followed later by Prince of Wolves by David Gross. Very exciting news if you love Pathfinder and great to see it branch out. Palladium Books Gives Us Hollywood Insight

Well this slipped under the radar but a week ago Palladium Books had released one of their usual press releases. I like them because their informative and personal. Almost like a blog. However the topic of shopping around their IP’s and discussion of the RIFTS movie was brought up. While there isn’t anything earth shattering at least it’s good to see that that there is the possibility of seeing some Palladium love in the cinema hopefully at some point. Fingers crossed!
