I have to be honest, I’m not quite sure if this is sarcastic or not.

If it isn’t, I urge you to look at this sentence from the article:

“Working the count and taking walks are an important part of not making outs, which in turn is important to winning ballgames.”

I guess you missed the fact that the teams with the highest p/pa are the ones in the playoffs and the WS. So go check your stats again.
