I avoided the busy motorway and drove along the country side. It was actually relaxing to see all the different villages ,the green fields and just singing along to my music.I know that Afrodite will have probably spent her day on the beach but hey we can't have everything ,right?! Anywaysss managed to get some pictures of my outfit before the journey just for you :) Check them out

As you can see I decided to wear converse after all instead of my leather oxford shoes:)

high waisted swimsuits #trendalert

2013-05-15T11:06:00.001-07:00

Hey salala viewers Laura here !!! I am so excited my exams are over so hopefully now I will have more time for fashion postssssss !So here I am in the living room with my laptop on my knees blogging along and dreaming about my summer holidays in Cyprus ,I just can't wait .I have been shopping like crazy lately for colourful outfits and accessories and have realised I need some new swimsuits .You have probably noticed the new craze relating high waisted bottoms. At first I just hated them and was like no don't care what big fashion retailers say I still believe they belong to granny's. I tried one the other day and must admit I HAVE TOTALLY changed my mind. They look so feminine and elongate your legs. They remind me a girlie pin up era. Plus they are a good tip for the ladies that are not confident with their tummy area. However they are not ideal for a uniform tan ;) Anyway, I have collected some pictures to see what you think about them .Feel free to comment below.

p.s let's say good luck to Afrodite with her exams she is just starting ha xxx

enjoy the post

Product review !!

2012-12-28T09:11:00.000-08:00

Hey salala viewers we hope you are having a great time and enjoying your holidays !!! Today's post is a product recommendation. We have noticed that every time we straightened our hair it just lost its volume and looked really dull . Obviously we don't have the luxury to regularly visit a hair saloon and have a professionally done blow-dry. Thus, we decided to look around and we managed to find the perfect product: 'babyliss big hair' . Laura actually got it as one of her Christmas presents and she hasn't stop using it . The babyliss big hair just spins(in both directions) around and blasts out warm or cold air and as a result you can dry ,straight and give a natural looking volume to your hair all at onceeeeee!!! Price tag is around to £39,99 or 48,83Euros .Totally worth it

We bet even angelina jolie uses it hahah ;p

thank you so much the salala team

back to 60's

2012-12-22T10:08:00.000-08:00

60's the decade of innovation in every section, fashion , music, science and technology. It was a revolutaniary decade for music .By the mid -1960s ,rock and roll in its purest form was gradually overtaken by pop rock.By the end of 1962 the british rock scenehad started with beat groups like the Beatles and the rolling stones.

The Beatles exerted a major influence on youn men's fashion and hairstyle.Liverpool's miracle boys :

you gonna feel more the 60's

The 1960s featured a number of diverse trends. It was a decade that broke many fashion traditions, mirroring social movements during the period. In the middle of the decade. In the early-to-mid-1960s, the London Modernists known as the Mods were shaping and defining popular fashion for young British men while the trends for both changed more frequently than ever before in the history of fashion and would continue to do so throughout the decade

rolling stones

After designer Mary Quant introduced the mini-skirt in 1964, fashions of the 1960s were changed forever. The mini skirt was eventually to be worn by nearly every stylish young female in the western word and push out the longer skirt lengths that were worn before.

The Legend Twiggy

Fashions in the early years of the decade reflected the elegance of the First Lady, jacqueline kennedy . In addition to the pillbox hat which is discussed in detail below, women wore suits with short boxy jackets, and over-sized buttons. Simple, geometric dresses, known as shifts, were also in style.

audrey hepburn

Carnaby street and Cheleas king's road were virtual fashion parades

Models like Twiggy (who had been a mod herself) began to exemplify the high-fashion mod look, with the ever decreasing hem-line of the mini skirt, brightly coloured patterns and high boots becoming prevalent.

Women's shirts often had transparent sleeves. Psychedelic prints, hemp and the look of "Woodstock" came about in this generation

brigitte bardot

Wearing sandals was also part of the hippie look for both men and women. Women would often go barefoot, and some went braless.

on the other hand the haute couture was gaining ground more and more

red bottom killer

2012-11-24T08:24:00.002-08:00

Today we created a post for our devoted salala viewers! It is a little present for you. YES it is a LOUBOUTIN'S day !! We are going to show you some pairs of louboutins and at the same time we will be explaining which type of girl would choose to wear them!

We will start with a classic one. It is usually worn by girls who are elegant 24/7 and don't really experiment with their style .

Well this is also a classic design pair but with stud details .A girl that is elegant and at the same time does dare something different will choose something like that !

We continue with some louboutins that you always see on celebs,on tv,on magazines basically everywhere .They are easy to spot cause of their legendary red bottom shoe.

The well known to everyone black Christian louboutin heel

The nude one

The leopard

Studs are eveywhere !! girls that want to be in fashion and follow the trend of each season love them !

chic girls

We love these FAIRYTALE heels .

vintage girls

The girls who choose the comfort instead of walking on 16 inches heels (AFRODITE IS definitely one of them) will probably choose something like that

We were not really sure about them at the start but now we 100% in love with them . Just imagine them with a tight pencil skirt or a classy dress! This is a pair that automatically boosts your confidence

Some people whould say that this is just a masterpiece and of course we one of them . On the other hand we feel that they should have a special position in a museum rather than be worn and wasted hah

tres banale of girls whould choose those heels or killers

clown sneakers

Afrodite just hates these pink studded flat shoes but Laura thinks they are just so cool ahha !! aw wellll the salala team doesn't agree all the time

thank you so much . the salala team xxx

The price tag was 50 euros and they are just SO comfortable .They have a soft suede texture and a blue-green colour !!

how I would wear them :

I like wearing nerdy things ! My favourite sweater colour is definitely red !

Love the leather details , moreover love the fact that I have manage to make a 5 year old bag to look like a vintage piece

Wine colour lips !!!

2012-11-09T12:00:00.000-08:00

You haven't seen yet any posts dedicated to make-up since Afrodite and Laura are not really big fans !! They only started wearing it when they were 17 and especially Afrodite still tries to avoid it ! The salala team prefers for their daily lives to keep it natural and only experiment with their make-up on night out. So they admit they are not make-up experts .Nevertheless they still notice the latest beauty trends which for this season is without a doubt wine colour lips!!! Note that if you decide to wear a dark coloured lipstick you should keep everything else (like chicks and eyes) looking plain . As always here are some photos to inspire you furthermore ! ENJOY:)

The new upcoming model is definitely Cara Delevigne . She is a 20 years old british model and the grandaughter of english heritage boss Sir Jocelyn Stevens . She grew up in belgravia mansion which is a district of central London.Instead of staying in her huge house and wasting her money she decided to start a career in the fashion industry .Her face, body AND style obviously helped her to succed her vision!Delevingne is currently the face of burberry Beauty alongside fellow British models Eddie Campel and Jourdan Dunn . Plus she is well known for the strange grimaces she takes ! Here are some photos

New shoes

2012-10-31T08:14:00.002-07:00

Hey salala viewers Laura here !! Today have prepared a quick outfit post featuring my new shoes . Have used my phone camera so do apologise in advance for the low quality of pictures hah. One of the good things in working at a shoe shop is that once in a while you get free staff shoes. I could pick any shoe in the store that cost up to £65 for FREE (so a good budget there) . For my winter shoes I always go for something leather and black(waterproof plus don't get so dirty). Thus, these flat court shoes with silver stud details were a perfect choice. The next outfit is actually what I am wearing today: a black & white simple look

I usually wear my shirts all buttoned up since it makes any look smart

My nike collection !

2012-10-18T04:18:00.002-07:00

We bet that each of our salala viewers has at least ONE pair of Nike shoes. Afrodite here people! I usually rely on my Nikes since wake up 10 minutes before everything university, rendezvous, gym sessions so my alarm clock is basically USELESS . Thus, in 10 minutes I dont have much time to be creative with my outfit .I end up wearing a basic t-shirt ,a track suit and of course my nikes (okay must admit sometimes I go for some all stars but we are talking about nikes here hah!) Here are some pairs that have a good position in my wardrobe until present! ( you will see that some pairs have been worn more than others)

I will start from my most recent purchase : my new air max . Might be a silly question but do you know what they actually have in their soles ? Love the colour and the fact that they make me look taller true p.s Don't recommend them for gym

Now lets introduce you to the best nikes ever free run 3.0 .My mother brought them one morning with a smile in her face Afrodite look what I bought !!! At first I didn't like them at all but when I worn them my opinion immediately changed. .They are so soft, so comfortable that is impossible to hate them.Well these ones I absolutely recommend them for the gym

Another pair of oldies air max . what I really like at them is the watermelon colour .Must admit they are not very comfortable and not suitable for long running sessions

my classic millenium shoes

Here we have my 2004's handmade air . I have ordered them on-line from america .I personalised them by choosing the colour, the hight of the sole and by adding my name !! HOW COOL IS THAT ?

I have them in 3 colours and they were my first ever purchase with my own money when I was 13

Outfit of the day

2012-10-07T12:05:00.000-07:00

Laura here !! So today had to go to a formal occasion and just didn't know what to wear . In those situations I usually just pick a simple black dress and a belt for the waist. However this time I wanted to go for something different. So lucky me I actually found in my wardrobe this lovely topshop collared dress that I had purchased a while ago. Since it's kinda short I decided to pair it with black tights and simple black heels but you could easily wear this kind of dress in the spring time with bare legs and nude heels.
