]]> For (very) obvious reasons todays news is all dominated by the birth of Alaia-Mai Humes yesterday.  Almost every media outlet you can imagine has reported the birth, I’ve not come across anything that hasn’t been reported already, although the couple probably (does anyone know) have a deal with one of the magazines for the exclusives in a few weeks. Once again we congratulate the couple on the birth of their daughter :)

The Doncaster Star has put up a slideshow from the event at the racecourse on Saturday, I’ll try and get a gallery update shortly, I know it’s not had updates for a while, so don’t panic its on the list :)

Also Swarovski have posted two videos from ‘Behind The Scenes’ of the Gentleman music video, that actual video doesn’t premiere until Thursday, so enjoy this sneak peak!

It’s been confirmed that Rochelle and Marvin Humes are now proud parents to little baby girl Alaia-Mai!

Everyone here at The Saturdays Fansite sends our congratulations to the new couple, and the newest member of The Saturdays family!

The new dad and former JLS singer said the couple are “overjoyed” and  revealed “mum is doing great” in a post on Twitter.

He wrote: “This morning we welcomed our baby girl Alaia-Mai Humes.

“Mum is doing great & baby is amazing! We are both overjoyed! Thanks for  your love x

]]> Firstly a huge thanks to everyone who was involved in the meet up at Doncaster this weekend, lots of talk, laughs (drinks) and topped off with a great gig too! For those asking the girls didn’t perform Gentleman, the first performance of that is expected to be this coming Saturday at Radio 1′s Big Weekend.

Also should add, just in case she reads this, thanks to Vanessa for following us on Twitter last week. We are now followed by both Mollie and Vanessa, so make sure you follow us too on @TheSatsCoUk :)

Una took to her blog on Hello to talk about the show being ‘axed’ and confirms that the show only had a 10 episode run anyway, so make of this what you will. I guess ultimately you can spin it both ways ‘being axed’, ‘not renewed’ etc. The media will always be the media!

If you have forgotten (and I hope not!) the Gentleman music video premieres this week, so something to look forward to as the week progresses, they will no doubt ‘tease’ us more as the week progresses.

]]> Those hoping for Season 2 of Chasing The Saturdays, might have to wait longer, its being reported today that the show has been cancelled by E! Reports suggest that viewing figures dropped below 100,000 and that the show was ‘too nice’. Sad news for those who liked the show, where as other people reading this might not be too surprised by this. Hopefully the girls will go back to the USA but try a more traditional route and do tons of promo across radio! (It does work, look at Little Mix, Olly Murs etc. Just needs a bit of planning and travelling!) So fingers crossed for the US fans that they come back soon :)

In current news, the girls are currently in France, doing a bit of promo there for ‘What About Us’ if you are a french visitor and have news/media/clips (anything really) then please send to us and we will add it as news (and credit you!) as its impossible for us to keep up to date with EVERYTHING that is going on across the world!

Apparently Frankie doesn’t want to be a ‘fat bride’ – take of that what you will – and the girls performed at the Sony Radio Music Awards the other night, hopefully will get some pictures of of that soon. In baby talk Una has been talking about Ben ‘can’t wait to get me pregnant again’ - maybe we need to rename the Site now to The Saturdays Juniors!

The girls added another summer show yesterday, as they will be playing the Glow at Bluewater shopping centre in Kent on August 10th. We are going down there (as its local to us!) so hopefully see some of you down there. Tickets are on sale now from Ticketmaster, it’s a seated event so if you want a good seat then act now, there’s a good batch still available in the first few rows so be quick and snap those up! (We are in Block A!)

]]> As expected – well as I expected anyway – today the media is full of ‘reviews’ of Gentleman and its split everyone right down the middle it seems. I won’t post links to every review out there but reviews have been really good, or really bad (Everyone has their opinion) but I can’t seem to find a ‘it’s ok’ sort of review.

CapitalFM has taken comments from online social networking and claiming its ‘pure genius’ – they also seem to be playing it a lot already, whatever you might think of Capital on a personal level its good to have one of the major UK networks (seemingly) already on board, lets hope Radio 1 join in too and get it A-Listed again!

The Sun on the other hand seem to pick out the ‘worse’ comments from social networking – which is the other end of the spectum. As I said everyone is entitled to their own opinions and a song like this will split opinions across the board.

Gentleman is set to be released on 30th June 2013. The signed CD is now up for pre-order on the site which includes the band new b-side Wildfire

]]> Hey all! Hope those in the UK enjoyed the long weekend, all back to work today, in which – in typical UK style – seems to be the last nice weather day for a few days!

As we all sit and wait to hear when Gentleman will get its UK radio premiere, the girls have been added to this years ‘BBC Radio 1′ big weekend. The girls are set to perform on the Saturday (of course!) , this year the event takes place in Derry, Londonderry between 24th-26th May. The event has no tickets left, as the majorty of tickets are ballotted to local residents. But don’t panic the entire weekend is going to be shown across the BBC, on TV, radio and of course online. We will also have the girls performances on the site too :)
