Local/Regional Aging and Disability Coalition
RFP Proposals Due by April 20, 2012 (5pm PDT)

The SCAN Foundation is seeking to provide support to up to 14 local/regional aging and disability service and advocacy coalitions within California as part of its larger initiative to build an effective, statewide community of constituents for a social movement to transforming the state’s long-term services and supports (LTSS) system. Support will be provided to local/regional coalitions to exchange information, share ideas and coordinate efforts through conference calls and in-person convenings. Additional support will be provided to help up to 8 local/regional coalitions improve their ability for social action at the local level, and to coordinate with the Sacramento-based California (CA) Collaborative. The CA Collaborative engages the entire LTSS community (e.g., consumer groups, home and community-based service providers, facility/residential care providers, state Boards/Commissions, academics, hospitals, health care providers, and unions) to advance public policy consensus for reforming the continuum of care serving seniors and adults with disabilities.
