The Schwaggin' Wagon is taking swag donations in the form of t-shirts, triangular highlighters, and corporate sponsored Slinkies for the Inner Kids Foundation and various other charities outside of San Francisco's Moscone Convention Center. In addition, the Schwaggin' will be chauffeuring conference goers to various 2.0 after parties in style. The tricked-out 15-passenger van is fully equipped with faux fur interior, lights, and fresh beats.

Schwaggin’ shout out to EarthFirst.com for coming out and supporting The Schwaggin’ Wagon at Twiistup4 and SummerMash LA last week. EarthFirst.com knows that even a little bit of green sustainability goes a long way:

If you’ve ever been to a convention, you probably have some of this junk sitting around your office or home: mugs, hats, pens, calendars and other items emblazoned with corporate logos. You may use some of them for a little while but chances are, before long they’ll end up in the trash. The brains behind The Schwaggin’ Wagon, Michael Liskin and David Preciado, realized how wasteful that really is one evening over some Thai food, and decided to do something about it. The Schwaggin’ Wagon, which runs on sponsorships, travels to conventions and takes all that schwag that no one wants and donates it to charity.

What little things does you consciously do in the name of sustainability?

JamBase, a music fan site since 1998, is the go-to source for live music information on the web, boasting the largest database of music concert tour dates in the U.S. JamBase is a founding sponsor of The Schwaggin’ Wagon, and we are honored that they continued their support with this week’s L.A. run. We were thrilled to have a special appearance at the Mashable party by JamBase Director of Biz Dev Julie Blaustein, who wore her lei and Schwaggin Wagon sticker with apparent pride. JamBase provides an easy concert search tool on its site, while serving up quality articles, album
reviews, artist interviews, festival info, and other great content.

With JamBase’s open API, developers and users can share JamBase data
in various formats and locations online. JamBase also syndicates its
concert database via partner channels, including the just-launched
Tour Tracker franchise by AOL, found at TourTracker.com, at
music.aol.com, and in the upcoming Tour Tracker widget. Now quit reading

Did you ever think you'd hear us say we are The Schwaggin' SUV? For this Tech-Event-Week in Los Angeles, we are proud to team up with Eco-Limo to create the Schwaggin' Eco-Wagon! We will be ridin' around Los Angeles in a Bio-Diesel Ford Excursion SUV, compliments of our sponsor, Eco-Limo.

Why are we so pleased at this sponsorship/partnership? It's not because they were chosen to service the Academy Awards for the last four years. It's that Eco-Limo is one of only 6 companies in California featured on Google’s Google Green site, and last year they received the Grand Prize in Sustainability by the City of Santa Monica, recognized as well by the California State Senate and Assembly! In short, they rock the eco-world. They are exactly what we were looking for in terms of transportation.

Here's their story:

ECOLIMO was the first luxury chauffeured, ground transportation company in the world committed to providing the cleanest, most fuel-efficient car service available.
ECOLIMO provides reliable, traditional executive transportation services to corporate and individual clients in low emissions, environmentally friendly vehicles utilizing hybrids, bio-diesel fuel, and natural gas. ECOLIMO is a company that prides itself on combining environmental responsibility and efficiency with reliability and professional service.
It began with a simple idea: to change the image of the luxury livery business, offering limousine service with a positive environmental impact.
Ms. Y. Fray, a 20 year veteran of the industry and business owner, opened operations in Los Angeles in 2004 with one black hybrid electric/gas Toyota Prius and has since expanded the fleet to 15 vehicles in Los Angeles. We are a certified woman owned & operated business, as well as being Terra Pass certified and a member of the Green Air Congress.
We are looking to be fully operational in Las Vegas , New York & Washington DC by 2010.

Wow. You may even see some Eco-Limo staff at Summer Mash Los Angeles! Be sure to say hello.

Yesterday on iMedia, Leah Messinger summarized some killer schwag success stories, including hand-delivered cupcakes by ValueClick, in an article called The ROI of Quality Swag. Edible schwag is a great concept, and cupcakes are still in, and we are proud to have made that connection ourselves last week, so don't think we stole the idea if you see us selling cupcakes to benefit charity in the future! The point here is that anything memorable and eco-conscious makes good schwag. There are a number of green schwag producers out there, and we hope they will sponsor The Schwaggin' Wagon, because our message is their message.

The Schwaggin' Wagon is in talks to consider future creations with RVIP Lounge! What would happen if our vehicles had a baby?
That baby would be a karaoke singing, schwag slinging, rip-roaring party animal.

Perhaps it would live off of edible schwag? That reminds us... if you've seen any great edible (or drinkable?) schwag please send us the link. We're always looking for schwag that disappears instead of ending up in a landfill or clogging the back of a dresser drawer gathering dust.
