Bank and Credit Secrecy Law

In Philippine banks, there is this so-called Bank Secrecy Law where the bank is made to agree that no confidential transactions and details of a depositor will be disclosed at any time, unless, with written permission from the depositor and special cases like impeachment, or upon order of a competent court in cases of bribery or dereliction of duty of public officials, or in cases where the money deposited or invested is the subject matter of the litigation. I’m sure there exists a similar law with credit card companies prohibiting them from disclosing and illegally selling leads to target marketing companies. In the US, the TransUnion, a credit reporting company unethically committed this blunder and many debtors were affected. But many of victims might not be aware that they can file for a TransUnion Lawsuit now and claim damages. If you have filed credit in the US between the years 1987 and 2000 or if you know someone who have, better refer them to O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath Firm as they expertly handle TransUnion claims even the most complex ones.

If you have an Apple product whether it’s an iPhone, iTouch or an Ipod, isn’t it ideal and fun to download all apps from iTunes for free? I was told by friends who own iPhones for a long time now that there really is actually a way to download unlimited paid apps without shelling out a single penny. There’s a series of special steps and this process utilizes a software to do it. They refer to it as jailbreaking. But doing this, I think, voids the ipod and iphone warranty. I’m adamant to have this done to my iTouch but let’s see. If I’ll be referred to someone who can assure me that nothing will get wrong with my gadget, then I’m up for it.

My husband is such a huge fan of our very own Boxing Filipino pride, Manny Pacquiao. While sports memorabilia of him is everywhere, we can’t find one that is autographed and is up for grabs for a reasonable price. I checked Hollywood Collectibles Inc and I saw one that fits our budget. I’m sure the husband will be one happy camper if he sees this sports memorabilia.

I’m currently on the look out now for a carpet replacement. Our current is a white one and just a few weeks since its installation, it’s so dirty now that it feels futile to clean it. I have to look for new styles at Carpetexpress.com for the replacement.

I can not just forget when my perfectionist Dad corrected me when I once said “Dad, I had the documents xeroxed already.” He reiterated that Xerox can not be a verb as it is a Proper Noun and should not be used to pertain generally to photocopying machines. It’s actually the company who pioneered the photocopying and printing products. So when you come across Xerox phaser 8560, be forewarned that it is not a photocopying machine but a printer. So yes, establishments providing photocopying services should correct their labels which goes like “Xerox Available Here” or “Xerox – Php 1) or any of those sorts. While “Photocopying” or “Photocopier” may be easier and shorter to say, it’s actually the correct and proper term for that.
