2011-09-25T19:19:00.008-05:00

A new Supes9 I overlooked

May also want to thank them for adding cc.
Both did so at my request and both manually created them.
Neither are deaf so its way and beyond, ya know?

Yo... ever seen those YouTube vids that twists the original story/movie meanings into something different and attach it to a cool song?

It's awesome seeing such creativeness.
I'm seeing favorite TV shows and movies in a totally new light.

Sometimes, its weird or strange, other times it feels as if the artist had a glimpse of our innermost thoughts.
Either way, they are all worth a thought or two.

Here's a few (not all are cc or subtitled, sorry)

As always, if you enjoyed, click "Like" on these artists. If its cc or subtitled, perhaps thank them as well.

Bridesmaids as Movie of The Day

2011-09-17T10:05:00.004-05:00

Closed captioned Preview

Yo... smoke that blunt and kick back, its the weekend!

For my movie of the day, I'm going to follow my cousin's recommendation and watch The Bridesmaids today. My cousin has a knack of finding great comedy so I downloaded it yesterday.

DL the movie here or here
(Hurry, may not last long)
Subtitles here

As for my music of the day, here's Kenny Loggins' "Highway to the Danger Zone
lyric only video from YouTube.

Kinda boring with just a black background but at least it has lyrics to follow along.

In the meantime I'll be downloading some new horror movies to check out so watch for upcoming reviews or DL links of them.

Yo.... Zac Efron fans. I created a music video from his movie 17 Again with the beautiful Leslie Mann using a song from their soundtrack "You Can't Say No".

While it may not be Zac's most popular movie, I still enjoyed it so much that I wanted to create this video. The soundtrack is by The Helio Sequence.

For Stephen King fans - Kingdom Hospital (2004) review & links

2011-09-13T09:17:00.006-05:00

Kingdom Hospital (2004)@ Imdb.com

Yo... been watching Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital (2004)series. It's a total of 13 episode but set up like one long movie.

If you're not fans of Stephen King, you will undoubtably consider it long and dragged out with too subtle horror moments.

For the rest of us, its a treat! Especially since I thought I already read and watch everything by SK. It has Andrew McCarthy and Jodelle Ferland in it.

Keep in mind, while this may not have been actually written by Stephen King, he managed everything including the teleplay. It's definitly something to watch with Halloween coming next month!

Dl Kingdom Hospital here.
Scroll down to 2nd posting (DVDrip mrbrownee links)and right click each one. Unless ure a meagaupload member, u will only be allowed DL one at time, approx 300MB each.

Subtitles here.
The subtitle download however is a complete set so you only DL once & extract to your folder.

I would strongly suggest you open a new foler and name it SK Kingdom Hosp & place everything in that.
Be easier each time you open an episode.

To play these DL movies & subtitles on your computer, I recommend this free player - OpenSubtitlesPlayer.

TN Psycologist Factility Refuse to Provide ASL Interpreters

2011-09-09T11:06:00.009-05:00

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Today when I called via Relay to a new psychologist within my insurance company, I was told not only I cannot be seen until Oct 2011 but that they do NOT provide interpreters and I will be required to bring one of my own.

I did file a complaint about this to my insurance UHC but I am extremely surprised that happened. Especially since I had not even requested for an interpreter yet.

Here's a blog worth checking out..."Lawsuit Filed Against Insurance Company for Denying Accessible Services to Deaf Citizens"

What makes this worse is this Tn psychologist is apparently the only female psychologist within 30 miles under my insurance.

In the meantime I am appealing my insurance denial for the usage of Alternative Solution Center - a Deaf-owned and operated psychotherapy and consulting practice.

UHC denied it on the basis that they are out of state even though they have certifications to practice out of state.

I guess I have to wait until my complaint and appeal to process before I know my next step. If anyone has a suggestion or advice, please contact me.

Medical Marijuana & Cave of Weed & Hwy Robbing in Tn - YouTbe cc

2011-09-08T02:30:00.005-05:00

Yo... it would be very helpful if weed was legalized here in Tn for medical reasons. Its sad that folks with real medical reasons have to deal with wacky dealers or worry about the law. As if their own illness isn't tough enough to deal with.

Tn cave of weed - candyland for stoners - Not closed captioned but there's enough words on screen to kinda follow along. If you're hearing, maybe you would like to subtitle it.

Could be the police are keeping it all to themselves -

Thor, Super 8, & Arthur (2011) reviews & links for Deaf high-speed users.

2011-09-05T04:04:00.008-05:00

Yo... ever get that wonderful tingly feeling after a highly anticipated movie starts? You feel all "fluttery feet" inside like Snoopy's happy dance in the Charlie Brown comic strips and goosebumps plesantly speading up your arms and neck.

Yup, that's me.

Nothing quite like it. Especially if you got herbs, munchies, and an gung-ho movie company.

Here's a few movies with subtitled trailers & DL links.

Enjoy!

Arthur 2011
This british dude's antics cracked me up. I loved his totally unrealistic "head in the cloud" view of life. Near the end, kinda got a bit predictable however it's a movie well watching again just for the dumb drunk batman stunts or Gardner's kitty cat impression and especially Helen Mirren's fabulous acting.
DL here (1.5GB), subtitles here.

Super 8
Man, I got the same happy feeling from Super 8 as I did from The Goonies (1985).
It's even set during that time frame. Like The Goonies, Super 8 gave me tons of goosebumpy moments.
DL here, subtitles here.

Thor (2011)
Has a wonderful cast with Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Hopkins, Natalie Portman and has great special effects. Yes, its predictiable and the story seems shallow when u just finished Rise Of The Planet of Apes but its still well worth watching.
Chris Hemsworth was bloody marvelous and SEXY, and Hopkins is always great.
Dl here (1.6GB), subtitles here.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes - ASL clip @ YouTube

Subtitled trailer of Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Yo...my husband & I watched this most
fascinating movie the other day
Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

It held our attention from start to finish.
James Franco & Lithgow were believable
and the ASL scenes were perfect.

Here's brief clip I made of a
touching sign language scene for
nonprofit educational purposes.

Click "like" if you enjoyed it :)

Get the free YouTube Downloaderhere

So hit your pipe, grab munchies
M&Ms), & rush to nearest CC theater.
Or DL it here- subtitles here.
Either way, most definitly worth watching!

Speaking of ASL, there's a something interesting according to Deaf Politics blog that American schools are trying to claim ASL (american sign language) is a foregin language.

"We Deaf Americans might not consider ASL foreign-but the attitude of English-speaking Americans insists on it."

Ah, for video editing idiots like me out there.
I clipped the movie to that section in WLMM,
added two photos I like and added text.
Then I gave photos the illusion of movement,
put one at each end of video clip
and inserted and split a copyright audiswap song
I downloadedavailable from YouTube at each end.
Then I published it directly to YouTube.

UPDAATE - I forgot to check if subtitles were needed.
I'll get to that asap.

Except for Hulu.com I don't know how else we can watch online movies with subtitles.
Not even Netflix has many options for streaming live movies for deafies like us yet.

If you do NOT know how to DL, add subs, or play them on ur computer or TV, please contact me. Don't play around and try guessing. I learned the HARD way and totally crashed my last computer.

Scary Jim Carrey on YouTube - Lol!! No need for cc or subtitles!

2011-09-02T00:54:00.006-05:00

Yo, this is a crack up and u don't even need subtitles or cc. I found this video here while finding subtitles for my downloaded movies.

Scary Carrey from Youtube doing the Black Swan movie. Gotta love Jim Carrey's antics! I wonder if I'll look half as funny if I tried this.....

UPDATE - before watching, make it full screen.... trust me, it's worth it!

Jim did this on SNL recently. Yes, some of the SNL shows are cc or subtitled at Hulu.com if u wanna see the whole show. This vid is just a brief part of it.

Blue Mon by New Order & The Beatles cc/subtitled at Youtube

2011-08-31T22:32:00.003-05:00

Yo... here is the original version of "Blue Monday" a music by New Order with cc/subtitles for deaf.

Mellow music but just plain album cover video. Singing starts like halfway into video.

Another oldie but goodie is The Beatles - Come Together with lyrics like cc/subtitles.

Neither video has anything much but the music, subtitles/lyrics, and album art. However both are classics and sound awesome if u can hear even a little like I do.

Enjoy!

This is one of those "what the fuck" thingys for me.

I got that statement above when I tried to play both Depeche Mode music videos at universalsubtitles.org after adding the eng subtitles we created and uploaded.

That's the first time I saw that because all other videos we placed there along with subtitle .srt files worked just fine.

I am referring to Depeche Mode "It's No Good" and Halo. I cannot even get the embed codes to place either videos here.

That really sucks because now I can only enjoy both videos with subtitles AFTER downloading it to my computer using this free youtube downloader.

Here's a print screen of my free youtube downloader -

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Just insert any url link from youtube and it will download any videos there, even the ones that do not allow downloading or embedding as long as you keep the free youtube downloader updated.

In the meantime I'm not sure how to go about putting my subtitles or subtitled videos of DM's anywhere for deaf people like us to enjoy.

I'll figure it out unless someone has a suggestion on how to subtitle AND share it with the deaf world?

Doubtful I'm the only deaf fan of Depeche Mode.

I love the part where he sings "Did you ever...."!

Here's his other video "scream" in english AND spanish subtitles

Here's another subtitled song with Vannessa but I don't like the song near as much as Bet On It.

Yea, I'm a HUGE fan of his movies....dunno whatcha talkin about?

Exercise for Lazy Computer Addicts! from Youtube

2011-08-13T22:55:00.005-05:00

Yo.... check this out

Once again its by the Fatboy Slim with just repeat of lyrics "funk soul brothers, how about now".... great song but not something u wanna see subtitled over and over for 4 whole minutes.

I use a medium green exercise ball like this one here on my computer to help stay in shape the lazy way. -

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Anyways after sampling a new hydro, I came across that video. Next thing I know, I'm bouncing on my ball while copying his moves.

Much to my surprise I was able to follow along for the most part but wow, was outta breath near the end!!

Give that video a try, might make ya smile and maybe lose a few calories. Either that or get some good shit like I did, lol!

Audio Stripping Tip w WMM for idiots like me.....

2011-08-11T13:50:00.006-05:00

For all us newbies trying to create cool music videos... here's a nice tip if ure still using free video editors like me.

To strip audio from a video, take it to Windows Movie Maker version 6.1, drag video into time line, highlight it, go to Clip and selet audio then mute it.

Simply publish it to your computer as a movie.

Now you can take it to your Windows Live Movie Maker (WLMM) and snip, cut, adjust and move all the pieces to a totally different sound track of your choice.

This option apparently does not work in WLMM. I've tried publishing movies using the mute however after u test it in a player like Divx, windows media or whatever, the audio comes back on.

Don't forget to save often in WLMM because its glitchy and freezes often!

You have to go to the old WMM to mute and keep it that way.

This info may sound stupid to some folks but is intented for idiots like me learning the most I can with free software for video editing. Somehow I doubt im the only idiot.

That's how I added audio (or rather to merge them better into the next song) to my 4:20 sampler at YouTube -

Oh if anyone knows how to handle Debug Wax opensource freeware video editor, pls let me know. It has tons more features than both WLMM or WMM however its not as user friendly.

Interesting feature on YouTube

2011-08-10T23:52:00.004-05:00

Ever see those samplers or top 10 favorite hits on Youtube? I made a sampler of 5 songs using WLMM then uploaded to Youtube.

I listed the songs in order of appearance in the info box under my vid. Now folks cld see what was coming up.

However today I decided to do the exact timing using 00:01 and etc to list the start of each song. After saving it, much to my surprise those "times" became direct links to each song within the vid.

I thought wow, how awesome, then promptly went back to editing it and added 4:20. Now it takes u exactally where it shld be, lol.

Something to think about, no?
