PAX East!

We are so excited to be going to PAX East this year and having a Minecraft panel to boot. When we started looking at how we wanted to run the panel, and what it'll be about, we started feeling like we were leaving something out. Not something.. someone! The fact that every week Astragali is there to put together our show notes, and then nudge us in the doc itself during the show, it just felt right that we needed him to come to PAX as well and help us with the panel.

The chipin didn't really cover that cost, but after talking with our cohorts in the DWP on the film side of the house, we were able to get some money together to pay for most of the plane ticket. We're hoping to eek out possibly a little bit more in the chipin for other costs that may crop up during PAX, like taxi rides and ferris wheels :)

Once again, we want to say how much we thank everyone for helping out. We have bought all the plane tickets, and all the rooms and that used all of what was in the chipin.

Thank you so very much!! We'll keep everyone updated leading up to the trip and through the weekend there.

We have reached our goal thanks to all the folks who have chip'd in! We got to $600 and Silverminnow matched it to bring the total to $1200! Thank you all so much!

As part of the chipin, we started a contest that for every $10 someone chips in, they get a chance to win a signed foam diamond featured in, We Built This Town, music video. We are going to continue the contest until PAX itself, and then give away the diamond when we get back! and a few other prizes depending on what swag we can get at PAX! I do want to be clear though. The give aways for PAX swag and diamond are only for the donators of the chip in. We feel that's only fair. (As a side note, Silverminnow graciously removed himself from the contest, but we are going to find something else to send to him as a thank you!)

So, what will we do with any money donated over the $1200? $1200 was our driving goal, so now, we're going to try for flying, and possibly an extra night there. These are just bonus goals, so no fret, we are going regardless, and we are able to do so for free because of all of you. THANK YOU so much! We just wanted you to know that any extra would be going to PAX as well. Either flying, or room, or we'll get some swag made to give away at the panel.
