Underground for Mugler ‘White Creeper’ Shoe

British footwear label Underground continue their collaboration march, this time hooking up with Nicola Formichetti’s Mugler. These shoes have been released in some shocking neons, here we look at a slightly more subdued (it’s all relative) version of their classic creeper. Strap’s n’ buckles keep this together with that chunky sole giving you a bit of extra height and ensuring anything underfoot gets crushed. A heavyweight bit of footwear with some strong punk leanings.

Our Legacy hacve introduced this impressive, updated version of their derby shoe most notably with the wedge crepe sole being replaced with a natural storm welt and double leather sole. Spring/Summer 2012 sees Maiden Noir releasing a new assortment of footwear to coincide with the rest of its seasonal collection. The Blackburn Leather Oxford, as the title implies, is constructed from a buttery soft suede upper and is set atop a pure white outsole. Each of the three color options — black, navy and tan, feature tonal wax laces and are finished off in a supple tan leather interior lining and gold foil embellishment.

Nike Toki Vintage

We’re used to seeing older styles from Nike getting the Vintage treatment, which was why it was a bit of a surprise to see the Toki recently receive it. Originally released in 2008, the vulcanized chukka is seen here in an off-white canvas upper with a matching Swoosh. The midsole gets dirty here with a little black wash to complete the look.

British brands Grenson and Heritage Research have teamed up again for for a smart set of shoes and boots. An exclusive peek, they tell us “developed around the ’US Naval Yard’ AW12 concept, the shoes and boots are drawn from original period USN issue footwear.” Two key styles feature, the first, above is the US Navy Officers Heavy Brogue and comes in two amazing colourways, burgundy/black alongside black/navy with your choice of a crepe or double Goodyear welted leather sole. Also on offer, the Seabee Boot “a hybrid of the classic US military M-41 boot and the USN Seabee’s Engineer boot” available with either a lightweight microsole or Goodyear welted leather sole. A brilliant range as you’d expect from a Grenson, Heritage Research effort.

Louisville Slugger x PRO-Keds ‘Royal Hi’

A couple of iconic American companies — Louisville Slugger and PRO-Keds — have collaborated to present a new take on the classic Royal-Hi silhouette. Drawing inspiration from the sport, the upper of the shoe is comprised out of baseball glove leather – 100% rawhide – and contains details such as rawhide leather laces, a cork footbed, baseball cross-stitching, and an embossed Louisville Slugger logo. Overall the look is pretty slick, and although we know that PF flyers of the shoe of ‘The Sandlot’, we have to think that these might suffice. The shoes will come in a special co-branded package and a mini baseball bat keychain.
