Neutral Look (Wet N Wild I <3 Matte Palette)

I wanted to do a look with my Wet n Wild “I Heart Matte” palette and this is what I came up with, I think it looks OK! I used the side of the palette with the neutral colors for this look. I really like this palette, and the colors blend very well. My eyebrows do look a little crazy, but please forgive me growing them in from a bad eyebrow experience ( No more waxing for me).

Shopaholic Review: NYX Matte Lippies

Once I seen the NYX Matte Lipstick, I knew I had to try them. NYX Matte Lipsticks have been out for a little while now, but I was trying to wait until I seen them in Ulta to purchase them. Well they have not made it to Ulta, and I grew impatient, so I placed and order with Cherry Culture. The lipsticks shades I chose were Maison, Shocking Pink, Strawberry Daiquiri, among the many pretty shades. Checkout Just how pretty below!

Overall, I am super happy with the quality of these lippies. The texture is smooth, creamy, and do not dry out your lips like some Matte Lipstick tend to do. Also these lipsticks are easy to apply they are not hard, they go on like a dream. I can’t wait to purchase more shades! Do you own any NYX Matte Lipsticks if so, which colors?

Wet N Wild Cosmetics: Haul & Review

Hey All,
I’m back with another small haul and review of the latest “Wet N Wild” eyeshadow palettes. “Wet n Wild” recently released 4 new eyeshadow palettes, as a part of there limited edition Holiday collection. The collection includes 1 matte eyeshadow palette( I Heart Matte), and 3 baked eyeshadow palettes ( Baked, Not Fried (Blue) Baking A cake (Pinks), Bake Off Contest (Browns). I was do excited about these palettes, because I actually was able to find them in Walgreens near me ( Palettes are Walgreens exclusive). Each of these palettes retail for $4.99, and are selling out fast. Pictures and swatches of the Palettes I picked up are below, I got them all except “Baked, not Fried”(Blue palette), because I don’t really wear blue shadow that often so I skipped that one.

Overall, I am very happy with this collection from “Wet n Wild”, the quality and pigmentation of the eyeshadows are great. I did not experience too much fallout while doing the swatches, and the baked eyeshadows can be applied wet or dry ( applying shadows wet will make them more vibrant). Also these eyeshadows have great texture, they are not very hard to work with. The “I Heart Matte” palette was very easy to work with, I just knew these eyeshadows would be hard and stiff but they were soft and easy to blend., These palettes would make great gifts for the makeup lovers in your life, and are very affordable. Do you own these palettes?

Checkout the video for "We Like to Party" By Beyonce which is on her debut album entitled "4". If you don't own this CD you should ( just my opinion), one of her best albums. This video is so fly, I love all the colors, and it reminds me of a backyard party back in the day. There are also some guest appreances, can anybody tell me who shows there face in the video? I have been seeing post about the upcoming Wet N Wild Holiday collections, so I decided to take a trip to the Walgreens near my house. To my surprise they had just put out the display for the Wet N Wild “Ice Baby” collection. At first glance I wanted to grab every nail polish on the display, but I took the high route.Considering the fact that here in IA, I have not seen many of the Wet n Wild collections I felt like I struck GOLD!!! Finally!!! Here is the long awaited collective E.L.F. product Haul.

This haul is collective, I have been picking up E.L.F. products for the last month. There are so many products I wanted to try because I have heard so many great thing about the new studio line. As you all know the E.L.F. Studio line can now be found at Target,Kmart, but I found some of the products at my local Hy-vee Grocery store. All Studio line products are $3 which is very affordable, and better quality than the $1 basic makeup line. I must say that I have only swatched the eyeshadow and so far so good. I really love the quality of the products. Also I am a huge fan of the packaging it is very similar to the Nars packaging, but this is all plastic so it will not get as dirty as the Nars packing . I got a ton of stuff and will do swatches upon request, just leave me a message letting me know what you would like to see a swatch of and I will post a pic.

Beyonce has joined Michelle Obama`s "Let's Move" campaign.This campaign is against childhood obesity and it promotes dance as a very fun and efficient way to move.

If you want to lose weight with the help of Beyonce, now's your chance! In the video, the singer proposes some simple and quick movements, which help you to burn enough calories to tone your muscles(in just 4 minutes).

OMG this is such a cute video, and looks like a fun way to get some cardio, I think this video and the concept of getting children to exercise by doing something they like will be an effective way to get children to "Move There Bodies". By the way Beyonce looks gorgeous in the video and her makeup is so fresh and fun. Her makeup and nail polish Scream Spring........ I Love it! What do you think of the video?

My First Jesse Girl’s Eye Shadows

I have wanted to try Jesse's Girl cosmetics, but they are very hard to find! Rite Aid is one of the only stores that carries Jesses Girl cosmetics. I do not have a Rite Aid near me at all, and my only other option would be to order online. I have heard many great things about this cosmetic line, and so many Youtube Gurus rave about the eyeshadow pigments, I had to get my hands on them. While in Chicago taking care of wedding stuff, I found Fagen Pharamacy, and they sell Jesse Girls Cosmetics. I was so surprised because I was on the hunt for E.L.F. cosmetics, and I found Jesses Girls. I only got 3 pigments, and they were $4. I wanted to get every color pigment, but I wanted to try them out for myself before I went overboard. I chose a Green, Gold, Silver, because these are colors I needed in Pigment form.

I must say that these Pigments are great, very pigmented and easy to blend. They also can be used wet or dry. I really feel that these pigments are worth the $4 and I can't wait to get more on my next trip.

Do any of you own any Jesse Girls cosmetics? What are some good pigments and other products I should try?

Nails Polished: Four Leaf Clover Shattered

Here is this weeks nail combo. I love the way the Shatter polish looks over the green, and trust me I got a ton of compliments on this polish combo. For those of you who are still trying to get your hands on the OPI Shatter, be sure to try Ulta. The Ulta near me had just got a new shipment of 200 bottles.

Claire's 10 for $10 Accessories Haul

Last weekend I was with my daughter shopping for some gifts for a party she was going to and she decided to go to Claire's. They were having there 10 for $10 sell which means that you can get 10 items from the clearance section for $10 as long as they were originally priced $10 or less. The items that were over $10 were an additional 50% off. Great deal right!!!! So I told my daughter to chose her gift and then we would share the 10 for 10 I would get 5 items and she could get 5. Well as you will see below I went over my 5, but any additional items over your 10 items will still be $1. I think I found some really cute stuff to add to my spring summer collection. I will inform you all when the next 10 for $110 sale, so that you guys can go and take advantage.

MAC Goodies: Viva Glam Gaga 2

I am always late getting everything, but while I was in Chicago last weekend I got to stop by the MAC counter. I have a CCO ( Cosmetic Company Store) within 20 miles from my house, but I would have to travel 110 miles to an actual MAC counter. I know that sucks right!!! So whenever I can get to an actual counter I take advantage. On this trip I wanted to get Soft Brown eye shadow, because I thought that it would be a great crease color and blending color for my skin tone. However when I got to the store the sales associate convinced me to get:

I really like Saddle, but I still feel like I should have got Soft Brown Just to have! So also while I was there I seen this:

Viva Glam Gaga 2, at first sight I was like it would be a little too opaque for me, but the sales lady suggested I try it with:

Chestnut Lip liner ( MAC)

And what do you know I loved it, almost as much as Fresh Brew

( also by MAC) . Gaga 2 is very creamy, and is not drying at all I love it and if you can get your hands on it, I would grab it because it seems like works for many different skin tones.

Wet n Wild 8 Pan Palettes

I know I'm late with this one but I went through hell and hot water to get these Wet n Wild Palettes. They were not very easy to find, and as most of you all know I live in Iowa and it seems like products take forever to come here. I finally got all three palettes and not at the same time. I am really happy with the quality of these palettes, and I would do swatches, but I am sure you all have seen them by now and if not let me know and I will gladly do some swatches. Wet n Wild has done a wonderful job revamping there cosmetic line, tons of new shades, better quality, and the overall presentation has made them the new it company. I think they are truly doing big things in the Drugstores.
