Thor Should of Stayed At Home for This Adventure...

Thor: God of Thunder is a movie tie-in game that could of been very unique and fun but instead turns out to be a very bad clone of God of War mixed with some The Force Unleashed (in my opinion). While I do not own a physical copy of Thor I was given the opportunity to play through the game by a friend and in doing so I was glad I did not purchase the title, despite being a big fan of Thor.

GAMEPLAY
This is one of the major problem this game has in my opinion. What we have here is a bad clone of God of War mixed with a little The Force Unleashed style gameplay. I enjoyed both titles and the hack and slash style of gameplay. However, Thor's execution of this gameplay style was poorly implemented. After the first hour of smashing and electrocuting mobs I began to notice there is very little in the way of enemy variety or reason to even use your combos. Just mashing attack is often good enough (on normal difficulty setting) to get past most mobs with the occasional need to perform a simple combo attack to break a mob's armor and such. Like in God of War, when you kill mobs you will get experience points pretty much and can use them on a grid to level Thor's abilities up. The grid I felt was easy to use despite having a complex look to it. Included in the gameplay are numerous bugs that plague the title. Animation glitches, sound glitches, bad dialogue, poor physics engine the list goes on. While the problems are not game breaking, they are annoying and some of the bugs I ran into were down right inexcusable to have in a game. ( Next objective did not load for me twice during my playthrough. Restarting at the last checkpoint/save resolved it ). My biggest gripe about the gameplay is the poor execution of the grapple. Sometimes you will get the grapple notification and I would grapple the mob only to have the mob "automatically" counter my grapple and throw me away. It seemed completely random and I never could figure out why the enemy was able to just randomly counter me(could of been a PS3 bug as it didn't happen nearly as much on the 360).

GRAPHICS
I would say the graphics in this game are lacking. In fact early 360/PS3 or perhaps almost PS2/Xbox level at times. At times it felt like the Remastered God of War II where they took a 480p game and remastered it in 720p. It looked nice but you can tell something wasn't right. There are plenty of graphical hiccups throughout the game including a funny moment where Thor's cap actually rendered backwards and he was walking around with his cape over his chest for about 5 minutes. Don't expect mind blowing graphics from this title pretty much.. however the game is 3D capable. I was not able to test this feature out however due to a lack of a 3DTV.

SOUND/STORY
When it comes to music and sound effects I would say they are fair. The game uses the actors from the movie so there is some care and thought put into the dialogue, even if it was sometimes very cheesy. Game sound effects were not bad either but seemed to lack some power/muscle to them at times. STORY wise, this is a movie tie-in game which technically does not follow the movie. In a way this is good since it tries to be its own entity while using the movie actors and voices. However the storyline is very shallow and is essentially there to give you a reason to move to the next room of bad guys to smash.

REPLAY/LENGTH
It took me about 7-8 hours to beat the game on the standard difficulty setting (Midguardian). Throughout the game you will find various bosses to slay and of course hidden collectibles. The placement and nature of the collectibles reminds me a bit of The Force Unleashed here as these collectibles will unlock additional costumes, colors for Thor's lightning, etc. The added replay value here really isn't in the gameplay or storyline... but that these collectible items have DIFFICULTY REQUIREMENTS. Some of the collectibles you will be unable to pick up unless you are playing on the proper difficulty.

OVERALL F (58%)
Sadly I have to give THOR 1 star (an F rating in my book). The game is plagued with problems, and feels a bit like a fancy PS2 / Xbox title trying to mimic God of War II but left off much of what made that game fun. Is Thor: God of War a horrible game that should be avoided like the Lunchroom Meatloaf? No. It is a game that just has many problems and feels rushed and badly executed. Playing through the game, you can feel and even see the potential for a great game here that could of even brought some unique aspects into the genre but instead just got thrown out there to capitalize on the movie. With that said I feel Thor: God of Thunder is the kind of game that is perfect as a weekend RENTAL

A game of yesterday

Let's be honest. I've played the game... but not played it all the way through to the end. So, as a result, my review may somewhat seem a little bit premature, but I sincerely doubt it. The reasons are numerous: The graphics belong to a game of 7-8 years old. The dialogue, cheesy... The fight/action sequences, reminiscent of Mortal Kombat games, combos and such... Player interface, poor and old-fashioned... Screen mechanics/layouts, those that have been used many times past, no innovation there. All in all, nothing new, nothing exciting. Just go, go, go, fight, fight, fight...

To be fair, I will come back and edit this entry in a positive light if I do find anything new or exciting along the way, if this game gives me something to be thrilled about. Otherwise, this entry will stay as it is.

If you're a huge comic book or Thor fan its really not that bad

I really don't think this game is as bad as people make it out to be. Keep in mind i'm a huge Thor fan so i'm sure that helped me enjoy the game more but if a game totally sucks, i almost always end up putting it down and i actually completed this game. Honestly the only complaint i really have about the game is the graphics. Yes they're really not that great, but i'm more into gameplay and story anyway so if graphics aren't that important to you then you may like it. If i have to compare the game to anything it'd have to be God of War. Alot of people say this game is a GOW rip off, and that may be the case, but is that really a bad thing? For those people who like collecting things as a bonus, you can collect hammers, valknuts, lightning runes, and costume upgrades throughout the game to upgrade health, mana, etc.., though some of them you can only collect playing the game on hard.
Anyways i wrote this review for people who love Thor and comics but aren't sure if they'll like this game. I enjoyed the game enough to keep playing it even after i beat it, and i kept in mind from the start that i was playing a marvel movie game and i knew that most of them aren't going to be amazing but compared to the Iron Man games i'd say its pretty decent.

If Thor is your favorite comic book character or you're a huge comic book fan then i say give it a shot, but personally i probably wouldn't spend more than $35-$40 bucks on it. There's plenty of better games out there but i expect most comic/movie games to be horrible so this game definitely wasn't anywhere near as bad as i expected it to be. On a scale of 1-10 i'd probably give it a 6.5. I've played alot better yeah, but i've definitely played alot worse.

101 of 107 people found the following review helpful.Fianlly, Claymore Gets the Box Set Treatment it Deserves By ONENEO I'll come right out and confess it; there is much to be excited about when an anime company like FUNimation decides to release a beloved franchise in a single complete collection box set. Not only does it save the buyer money but it makes a given property much more accessible to viewers who would otherwise be reluctant to track down half a dozen volumes to enjoy the show in it's entirety. Enter Claymore the Complete Series, a property of which I've long been campaigning for a complete box set release. The show, which is really unlike any other anime series out there, has been released to the North American market thus far in a pace that could only be described as "trickling" as in six, 4-episode releases that each ran 95 minutes. I've got them all but won't lie about waiting impatiently for each release to come out so that the story could continue.

Coming in at a total runtime of 650 minutes, Claymore The Complete Series release contains all 26 episodes across 6 discs in three thin packs. The set is housed in a cardboard outer slipcase that is minimally artistically decorated (as should be with a show this mysterious). The show wears a very appropriate TV MA (17+) rating due to some rough language, topless female nudity (or maybe topless monster nudity is more appropriate), and a near-endless succession of violent/gory sequences. Language options are standard fair sub and dub, which of course means dialog presented in either original Japanese (Stereo) or an English dub in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround. And, like always, the choice to run English subtitles exists for either spoken language option. Extras are surprisingly robust and include a pair of nice 24-page full color books highlighting key characters from the series, six commentary tracks from some of the English voice actresses and creative staff, Japanese staff interviews, original TV commercials, cast audition reels, textless songs, and a crop of Funimation trailers scattered throughout. The story could best be described as a sweeping supernatural epic set in a grim fantasy environment in which an order of pale, blonde-haired girls are humanity's last hope in a struggle for survival against a race of beasts known as Yoma. Yoma are incredibly powerful and twisted human/monster hybrids that come in many shapes and sizes and are driven by an endless appetite for consuming human innards. The story primarily focuses on one of the Claymore sisters named Clare who sets off on a mission of bloody vengeance against the Yoma with hints of a disturbing and suffering-laden childhood popping up periodically along the way. No ordinary pale girls, these Claymores, however as they are in fact only half-human and half Yoma themselves. Their beastie-half provides them with superhuman abilities (among them: strength, endurance, special attacks and healing capabilities), at the cost of a constant threat of accidentally "going too far" in a battle and hence allowing the Yoma portion of their being to forever consume them. Should this happen, (a process called awakening here) the sister in question is to be slain by their own commanders-in-arms on the spot. As such the show presents a unique tension in the thralls of battle, as the temptation to push the limits of their fleeting humanity is a constant concern and more than a few Claymores will fall to the charms of the Yoma along the way. Fighting the Yoma can best be described as a physically grueling hack-fest with blurring blades from multiple Claymores chipping away at the oftentimes massive forms of the flesh-eating monsters. The good news for the viewer is that this means some wickedly cool battle sequences where many (and I do mean many) lovely Claymores meet their gruesome demise in the hopes of taking down a few of the enemy with them. Almost in a video game style of presentation, the show bides its time with the Claymore girls having to dispose of countless lesser beasts (such as the Abyss Feeders) while reserving the major player (think bosses) bad guy battles for the conclusion of the major story arcs. Among these is the wicked cool Silver Eyed Lion King (Rigardo), The White Silver King (Isley), and the Blood Soaked Warrior (Ophelia). The show's art is fantastically appropriate with shadowy backgrounds, eerie lighting, and clear-cool skies that are sure to inspire a shiver. The character-model art is deliberately pale, bordering on black and white in fact, which goes a long way to provide an almost vampire-like appearance to the Claymore girls. The soundtrack is made up of intense musical numbers and subtle stray electric guitar notes that are so well integrated that they tumble away into the creepy sounds of the night. It should be noted that the finalized cover art is actually a bit different from the photo Amazon has shown here. The box is indeed white and features a depiction of lead character Clare but not quite so closely cropped. Rather she is standing to the right of the frame with her silver cape flowing over the title, "Claymore The Complete Series". A small discrepancy, sure, but not to worry, the finished art works just as well. In all this is a must-have collection that will delight fans of most anime genres. Kudos to FUNimation for putting the fans first with a full boxset release at an asking price of little more than the 4-episode volumes have been going for until now. I simply cannot recommend this collection highly enough.

Mature Anime with Sweeping Vision

By M. Zveris Claymore is a series for the more serious anime watcher; I think that should be stated first and foremost. There is no jarring change from the plot with ultimately wasteful filler meant to make you laugh nor is there any comedy involved in the series. It is a very good series to start an adult on if you have a friend who is interested in anime and wants both the plot aspect and the violence that comes from the more mature fare. It is the blending of these two factors, along with the fantastic artistic style of this series that makes it so successful in appealing to both the male and female audience. Claymore does not start gradually, but it builds to a maturity of storyline that should be envied by other animes that attempt to blend the typical violence of a storyline revolving around combating demons, monsters, or other evil forces and balance it with serious dialogue and characters. Claymore is not a cliché series in any way. The story starts out with the arrival of a Claymore named Clare who has been sent by a mysterious organization to defeat a Yoma (monster/demon) found in a small town. Though the chief of the city has requested the presence of a Claymore that does not mean she is welcome. This is a running current throughout the series. As the Claymore (derogatorily referred to as Silver-Eyed Witches) are both human and Yoma they are almost universally feared and reviled. While they are needed and even sought out for their unique ability to combat the Yoma they are outcasts of humanity. Ironically their own humanity being the greatest thing they have forsaken in order to become these powerful slayers this sacrifice is not truly appreciated by most of the people they save. Anyone that has come into contact with a Yoma is considered tainted, dangerous, and possible of transforming into one of these ravenous beings that adores feasting on entrails. Raki is one such individual who is forced away from all he ever knew because of his close proximity to a Yoma. Outcast from his people - who feel they are only doing what they must to protect their village - he ends up falling in with Clare who frostily keeps him at arm's length even as she allows him to accompany her. It is from this starting point; the relationship between the young Clare and her even younger companion that the series begins to build. There is the usual fighting fare, the fast paced and epic battles that we have all come to expect from anime, but there is remarkably little boasting to be found by the characters (which is not typical) unless it is their honest personality as portrayed by the series. As we travel through the episodes, watching Clare and other Claymores going about their duty of dispatching both novice and aged Yoma we understand more and more the painful relationship and the hard choices they have all made. We also learn more about the mysterious organization that created the Claymore and the way they view the world. This is not a soft and gentle anime, the stories of these women (all Claymore's are female) and the sacrifices that they make are touching and compelling. They provide an earnest reasoning for why the Claymores continue to fight and why some girls become Claymore. Ultimately this is an anime about relationships and the stark dichotomies of society more than an epic battle between the forces of good and evil, which is in itself a murky concept as the series aptly points out. Aside from the plot this is a stylistic anime with both the dark overtones and the artistic talent to bring that to life. The series can be light and uplifting in both appearance and story when it needs to be, but the pain is palpable throughout even the happiest of moments for the characters. The box set is a beautiful addition with beefy extras on both the DVD's (textless songs, original commercials, interviews, et cetera) and in the set which comes with two full color booklets detailing all of the characters and several two page art pieces. The dub is not bad, which is a hard thing to say of many anime, and the Japanese language with the subtitles (that are very clear and easy to read) is of impeccable quality in translation. All in all this is a series worth owning and a box set well worth the price. If you are looking for a more mature anime that doesn't pander to the audience but instead draws it in, this is certainly a must have for your collection.

Great Anime, Horrible Blu-ray

By Xeon Negotiator I'm not going to go into the plot of Claymore, other sites and reviewers have that covered, but here is the deal, Funimation has yet again releases another upscaled piece of garbage. This release is done in 1080i, which basically translates into "this is a poor quality upscale." For those who don't know what upscaling is, it is basically resizing video or images to a larger size than the original source. This greatly distorts the video and leads to lines that are blurred, artifacting (large squares of ugliness), slow or choppy playback, and all around "eye cancer." If you own the DVDs, stick with them as they are the best quality available. If you want a HD version of this anime wait for the official release from the studio, not some cheap Funimation weekend project. I'm returning this right away because I am not going to pay for this horrible mess of a release. EDIT: I added a screenshot to the images section to show how bad this release is. Make sure to look at it full size, as it naturally looks better at a smaller size. Also the screenshot was not altered in any way from the Blu-ray source.

By Jason Ralsky Red Faction Guerrilla was a big step in the evolution of the franchise... going from FPS to a more Sandbox style game. Despite its success at drawing in a new crowd of fans for the franchise, Red Faction Armageddon takes a step backwards to return to its roots. In doing so this may alienate new fans of the franchise and Sandbox style, but may appeal more to the traditional FPS gamer.

GAMEPLAY Armageddon changes it up from Guerrilla by going with a over the shoulder Shooter style vs the Sandbox element the previous title had. Instead of running missions and driving around to pick up objectives you are given a clear cut path to travel. Armed with a variety of weapons you find and can upgrade along the way, you will shoot, destroy and rebuild (only to blow it up again!) your way through the campaign. Armageddon has a linear feel tot he game and does little to change that feeling up. While there are sometimes two paths you can take, it always leads you to the same place and puts you through similar trials(or just leads to a secret). Despite being linear with little in the ways of exploration, the devastation this game brings is very enjoyable. On top of your regular arsenal of weapons you have perhaps my second favorite weapon in the game.. the magnet gun (as seen in the demo). This gun is just pro at causing mass devastation and squishing enemies between scrap. Acquisition of your weapons like most shooters occurs linearly through gameplay. Upgrades are tied to completion percentage to prevent you from becoming to overpowered. Overall the gameplay is a lot of fun.. Linear yes.. but very entertaining as the game almost taunts you to kill as stylishly and destructive as you can. There is plenty to destroy, tons of enemies to have your way with so in the end you will be left satisfied. GRAPHICS The graphics here are not anything mind blowing.. but they are very nice. The real meat and potatoes here is the physics. While not perfect the destructive and rebuilding elements of the game is what really sells the effects. There are some cases where objects are rigid and do not bend nor break but for the most part, once you see your first large building almost implode on itself you'll be in awe. SOUND/STORY Sound effects are fairly solid. Weapons have a fair feel and sound to them but the voice acting is a bit weak in my book. Not bad just could of been better I think. Perhaps a lot of that has to do with the storyline. It is very generic almost existing to take you from A to B, but I don't think people tune into Red Faction to get drama so as long as there is reason behind your actions I am fine with it. Besides, a reason to go from A to B means more stuff to blow up! REPLAY/LENGTH Replay value I think is decent. There are some online modes included with the game the main one being infestation mode. Basically survival mode as you try to survive waves of mobs while using the environment to your advantage and mix in some objectives. There also is a mode where you try to rack up as much damage as possible within a set time(Ruin Mode), but I have not checked it out yet honestly. The campaign itself is short.. You can probably breeze through it in 5-7 hours if you just Rambo through BUT there is a plus here.. Game plus mode that is! Once the game is completed you can re-start the campaign with all your existing stuff to further upgrade gear or just see how much more chaos you can cause. OVERALL 81% ... B- Red Faction Armageddon is not a bad game by any means. It took a few steps back from the previous title, but returned to its roots with gameplay in doing so. Storyline and Sandbox took a back seat to Linear progression and in your face action. This might work for some and not for others. With that said RF: Armageddon is a game one really needs to play to see if they enjoy it. If you are a fan of the originals you will feel at home with this title. If you are more into sandbox style this game might upset you with its linear, closed-in feel. With that said I give the game an 81%.. a solid game but not for everyone. **NOTE: If you are on the boarder about the game, check out the demo to see if you like the feel of the game. It does a fair job giving you a taste of the arsenal you will have and destructive capabilities. **NOTE: This game has perhaps the best weapon to date... Mr. Toots. Once you unlock Mr. Toots you won't stop laughing.

Amazingly fun!!

By James Vazquez I'm about 18% into this game I loved everything I've seen so far and with so many upgradeable skills, I bet it's gonna be a blast to replay. Here's a brief breakdown if you're a diehard fan of RF Guerrilla. The graphics are slightly better with an improvement in overall physics, movement and the lighting effects are fantastic. The controls have a more first-person shooter approach with excellent aiming and reticle (with an upgrade that you can see the enemies remaining life). Overall sounds are a HUGE improvement over Guerrilla with pounding shotgun blasts and tumbling concrete/twisted metal. The guns no longer sound like toys and the voice acting is on-par with Guerrilla (sounding like SyFy movies...lol). As for gameplay... well, here is where it changes. If you're a hardcore fan of the previous game and you want a complete overhaul... you will be disappointed. It's not open-world by any means and IMO it resembles Resistance 2/ Dead Space with it's linearity. But if you actually enjoyed those games and expected a fun sequel, you will LOVE this one!! Being linear gives it a more direct and powerful approach to actually using every weapon and strategizing an attack. The demo only shows you 1/10 of what you can do in this game but if you enjoyed it, you will have hours of entertainment with the full version. Edit: I have yet to beat the game because of the Infestation mode. It really brings a challenge to the gameplay and trying to beat 30 waves on all 10 stages (I think)... alone or online... is really fun. Also for those trophy hunters, this game is not impossible to platinum and looks quite enjoyable to achieve (Hit and Run with vehicle, Kill 5 aliens with one Impact). After reading so many bad reviews, it's certain that a lot of people are obsessed with the idea that this is not a sand-box game... therefore, it sucks. Just play the game and stop judging for what it isn't and enjoy it for what it is.

Lots of Fun

By Broncofan This game was a lot of fun to play. Story was a little weak and the graphics / gameplay isn't perfect. Still, it was a pretty good FPS all things considered. I would give this about 4 stars or 7.5/10, but I gave it five to counter some of the 1 star reviews. How is this a one star / 2.0/10 game? That implies that it is broken / unplayable. It is nothing like that.

I'm an Environmental Engineering Student and I also currently own an Omega Speedmaster ($2100 graduation gift long ago) and a Titanium Pro-Trek Casio Triple Sensor Watch (Compass, Altimeter & Temperature $295.00) that I used for my previous job as an outdoors wilderness instructor. Both those watches are extreme (the Casio being too rugged, big and bulky the Omega being very freaking expensive) for everyday use and wanted something that suited my keen personality, short budget and modern taste. I never liked anything in terms of jewelry or watches from department stores or malls, but when I walked into MACY's during Christmas shopping last december at the local mall I saw these Eco-Drive watches for the first time. It has always been my opinion that Citizen makes very old fashioned timepieces, yet the Nighthawk Eco-Drive is very different and far more classy than any other Citizen watch on the shelf. Some of the other newer Eco-Drive watches also look edgy and fresher. But the nighthawk captures a boldness with it's appearancethat is very timeless. Needless to say, I tried it on and was sold. The features are amazing, apart from all the other "timekeeping-based and solar powered-based features you can read about everywhere else on the internet, the Nighthawk also has a multi-functional Slide Rule. This is not really praised or mentioned anywhere else so I will tell you what it is, what it does and why it makes owning this watch very cool! With the slide rule you can calculate your car's fuel consumption, average speed/velocity and the time you will arrive at your destination, you can also multiply and divide numbers, calculate ratio's into percentages, integers and decimals, covert liters to gallons, pounds to kilograms as well as other metric conversions. The slide rule also performs a few more complicated calculations that involve airplanes and nautical vessels that are beyond my understanding. At any rate, these calculations can be done by simply rotating the NightHawk's bezel and matching specific arrows at certain points along the dial. (If you don't believe me, you can download the Nighhawk's PDF manual and read up on it for yourself.) In fact, it is easier than using a calculator and clears up the big mystery of what people used before computers and electronic calculators were invented; they used the "Slide Rule". Being a grad student, I've read about the slide rules in a variety of classes but I never thought that I would own one on my next watch. I also would have never guessed that the slide rule is so efficient and easier to use than the graphics calculators we use in school. The only negatives cocerning the Slide Rule feature on the NightHawk are the numbers on the slide rule dial are small and angled inwards so that they are tricky to read without tilting the watch around to get a good view of the numbers. Also the slide rule only approximates and produces whole numbers for some of the more advanced calculations. Overall, I found that the useful geek-features, outdoorsman durability, everyday comfort and eco-friendliness to be well synthesized in the classy steel body of the Nighthawk Eco-Drive.

Great watch but needs a stopwatch for aviators

By Alexys Great watch: looks great--I get a lot of comments doesn't need a battery fantastic layout--a lot of info at a glance: date, local & zulu times luminous hands slide rule easy to use and numbers won't rub out (like on external bezel ring slide rules) However, for serious aviators: no stopwatch! You will want a stopwatch to go with the slide rule for basic dead reckoning you'll need another light source to read the slide rule if you're flying at night also, the crown has an occasional tendency to work itself loose and you can lose your time hack if you don't tighten it every couple days The closest I've seen to the elusive "perfect aviator's watch"

Citizen - who'd have thought it?

By Watch This This is the first Citizen brand watch I've ever bought, and so far, it's as good or better quality than more expensive TAGs I've owned. About the only thing missing (aside from a stopwatch, as noted earlier - but that's debatable if you're not a serious aviator) is a sapphire crystal, which would probably prevent scratches a little better than the standard mineral crystal. For this price, though, I'm not complaining. I like the layout, the overall appearance and something else nobody mentioned - the band clasp is a very smart design. Not only does it have something similar to the Rolex "Flip-Lock" clasp, but the main clasp has what can best be described as a squeeze lock, which must be pressed together from the sides of the band to release it from the wrist. This thing isn't coming off accidentally. I got the stainless version, but there is a titanium one available as well as an all-black version. The all black version looked kinda cheap and the titanium was more money, so stainless was the one I chose. Even though I'm not a pilot, the slide rule is functional (perhaps even useful, in some situations) and the instructions for it are easily understood. All that and a five year warranty. And I always equated Citizen with cheaper-made watches - I stand corrected. No regrets.

65 of 67 people found the following review helpful.Good looking and well-made product By BP Versfeld I have decided to review this product, since there are no other reviews worth reading, and since it is actually a fairly good buy. The choice can be difficult, because on average this product is more expensive than the other running docks for your ipod.

Firstly, let me say that I have only had mine for a day. I have the 6th Gen Nano. So, I cannot give any feedback at this stage regarding how this product will wear. I will try to remember to return in a month or two's time and post an update. Also, time from buy to receive was about a week, so I cant identify with the other comment about the lack of shipping. - The product looks good, and is essentially exactly how it looks in the photo. The Nano fits pretty much perfectly. However, if you have a silicone cover on your nano it will NOT fit. - It is easy to get the nano in and out, and because of the clip on the nano, when its in, it is secure, and therefore wont fall off the watch. This means its not the kind of "cover" where once its in, its in forever. - The screen of the nano can be easily rotated to have the clock face, and the menu etc interface in the orientation you desire. - The headphone jack of the nano points UP YOU ARM when the ipod is docked. I find this to be quite convenient as I use mine for running, and therefore want the cable pointing up my arm - NB one: The docking platform between the two straps is PLASTIC (not metal). I believe this will have pro's and con's, given that plastic will wear better with the sweat, but may not last as long. Potential concern here. However, the plastic does appear sturdy, so will let you know how it goes. - The size of the watch strap, and the holes make it possible to fit almost all size arms. I am a fairly big guy, and it fits me comfortably. However, if you have mammoth wrists, you may run into trouble. Post comments, and I will try to answer them. All in all, a good product that is (imho) freaking cool. UPDATE: March 10: I have been using the product for about a month and a half. I used a small file to round the edges of the platic platform onto which the ipod attaches, as they were quite sharp and snagged on sweaters etc. My ipod fits snuggly into the platform, and doesn't move around. The plastic platform still looks good. The silicone straps dont show any signs of wear yet, and I use my strap principally for running, so the straps receives a lot of sweat. Btw, if you use for running, get yourself a set of these babies: Sennheiser Adidas PMX 680 Sports Earbud Headphone with Volume control & Neckband. They are incredible, and dont move an inch when you run.

one of the better ideas

By Adam G MAresch I had always thought that a small mp3 player could always be worn best on the wrist. Clipping it to a band or cuffing it to your bicep wasn't always the most comfortable, secure fit. Obviously, the market wasn't out there for this idea until the 6G Ipod Nano came along. Before, the small size pretty much limited the total song capacity to about two, and there was no option to securely fasten the player to the wrist anyway- they were still too bulky. This Nano, with its optional clock display-was made for this wristband (and vice versa). I got this watchband as a gift for my wife after getting her the Ipod for Christmas. The fit is tight and secure. The instructions are nonexistent- if you need to adjust the bands to facilitate positioning the Ipod (to not only display correctly but to have the headphone jack positioned correctly as well, you will have to study the pieces and intuit what needs to be done. Not a problem for me- but I am smart:) In the end, with a little extra effort on my part swapping the bands around- this turned into an appreciated gift. My wife wears the Ipod daily as a watch. All that is needed is to plug in the headphones and the Ipod reverts back to its original purpose- only secured to the wrist (the headphones are positioned to run up inside shirt sleeves, helping to keep the cords from flaying around wildly when working out). So yes, this is a very good product. No instructions in this case won't merit a mark down because any adjustments are easy to figure out and don't require extra parts/tools to accomplish. Once adjusted (and this may not be necessary for you) this watchband is well-made and obviously manufactured to fit the Ipod securely and attractively. This product complements the Ipod so well I expect Apple will come out with something similar to it, soon.

Great accessory for the 6th gen Nano

By S. Bates I went to the Apple store ready to by the Griffin Slap but the Apple genius showed me the Iwatchz band and I was sold. The Iwatchz band is just as comfortable as a regular watch band and looks like a regular band, but the nano in it gets a lot of attention. Not hard to get the Nano in and out of the band, but took me a few times to figure it out. Here is a tip for using the Nano clock, under settings, turn the "time on wake" to on. That way anytime you push the on button the first thing you see is the clock. I was really tempted to get the red Nano that can only be purchased at the Apple Store, because it looked so good in the black band. Get the Iwatchz, it will make your Nano that much of a better purchase.

The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya In these animated short episodes, based on the comical spin-off manga, the characters are presented in cute little versions of themselves and focus each of their unique quirks. Haruhi is even more outrageous with her twisted understanding of Valentine's Day and Halloween, Mikuru is just as clueless as ever and Yuki is an ero-game addict. Nyoron! Churuya-san There comical shorts were originally a fan drawn 4-panel parody manga and due to its underground success, chosen to be animated. Follow the whimsical adventures of Churuya-san (based on the character, Tsuruya-san) on her quest for her favorite food, smoked cheese.

If you are a fan of the Haruhi series in any of its forms - be it the movie, TV series, light novels, or the manga adaptation - this series will make a welcome addition to your collection and will keep you highly entertained. Based on a popular fan adaptation, this chibi (a cutesy manga art style) builds off the already ridiculous, over the top plots and humor of the original series and makes it more so. Eroge loving Nagato plays with a mini-fied Asakura, Kyon is even more sarcastic, Haruhi more insane, and, if it is even possible, Asahina Mikuru is even cuter.

That being said, if you aren't familiar with the series, this may be funny, but something of the "inside joke" feeling of the show will be lost. But if you have seen the series or read the books, this really is a great supplement.

I wouldn't say the Sims 3 Deluxe is SOOO amazingly better than the Sims 3. But it is an improvement, if you like more variety in your career choices and if you like controlling Sims at work (only available in professions, not jobs). Other than that, not a big difference between the two games. But just a review of the overall game, well, it's great. Infinitely better than the Sims 2! However, it's so good, it doesn't play *very* well on my laptop. It's choppy sometimes, and the graphics aren't great in ordinary gameplay. In Create-A-Sim, it's fantastic. But in gameplay, try not to get too close to their faces. It's a little weird. But if you have a good graphics card I'm sure it'll play fine. Anyway, things I love about the game are the new sliders that came with the recent update (WOW! THANK YOU!), the fact that you pretty much never hit a loading screen except when changing from gameplay to menu or create-a-sim or whatever, and the fact that you can switch families in the same neighborhood and your old sims just go on with their lives. I also like the water ripple effects, but that doesn't mean a lot now does it? Hope you enjoy your Sims!!

If you have ever wanted to have freedom and unlimited fun, then buy the SIms 3. You can become an astronaut, a pilot, a firefighter, and even a mad scientist! As well as being able to have children, maybe even triplets or twins, you can get medical advice or relax at the spa for the day. You can even get an expensive car or the limo of your dreams. If you want to live big, go ahead and buy the mansion, but if you just want to have a cozy place to stay, feel free to buy a small house near the ocean. Your sim will have all new traits and responsibilities like washing the dishes and being a natural cook or slob. An all new feature is having a wedding and being able to choose clothes. There is a wide variety of clothing to choose from. Your sim can also exercise and even change its name. You can overrun other businesses and even accomplish goals or lifetime wishes.

If you liked the previous Sims games, prepare to be surprised when you buy the SIms 3. It's a must have for any Sims lover. I hope to get the expansion packs later on!

However, that's only because she got a MacBook Air for Christmas. Prior to that she was using a 13" MacBook that has an Intel integrated GMA 950 video card. This card is not supported, but nowhere is this shared - not in Amazon's description and not on the back of the software case. I finally found this little nugget of information after combing through the manual and researching it online. The game installed & loaded perfectly and appeared to run fine - no graphics issues with any of the scenery and backgrounds. However, once you tried to build a Sim, all that could be seen was their hair, eyes and shoes. Everything else was a black shadow.

I eventually returned the DVD and downloaded the software from Direct2Drive directly onto her MacBook Air and it works flawlessly. Since this review is supposed to be for the game, it gets 5 stars, but I wanted everyone to be aware that their video card may or may not work. It's best to research that before purchasing.

I always wanted a Ichigo in Bankai form! Here it is. One thing not mentioned in the description is the inclusion of the hollow mask; a completely different head that snaps in to replace the regular Ichigo head. It's awesome and I'll leave him in his hollow form 'cause it's just too cool lookin'. He's also extremely flexible so you can pose him any way you want. If you're a Bleach fan, you need this!

I bought two units of this figure and I am really disappointed. This figure comes with a set of two extra hands, but in any of my boxes there was the hand that holds the sword in and instead of this, one box comes with a right extra fist and the other box comes with a left extra fist. One of my Ichigos has a pretty loose arm and it pops out of place! The entire arm! I do not recommend this figure for kids or collectors, because of the QC problems. How can not the figure have the hand that holds the sword? When this is the most important part of the figure!

My daughter is a big fan of Bleach and this figure was what she most desired for her birthday.I had this figure ordered when it was still just a concept. I was hoping it looked like as good as the concept photos. I am happy to say this figure does not disappoint. I am not a Bleach fan and even I think this action figure is nothing less than totally gorgeous. The detail on this figure is amazing. The figure captures Ichigo perfect . The Toynami and Megahouse Ichigo action figures don't even compare to this figure . This figure is totally poseable but I will admit the joints need improvement. This is heavy and huge in size. The figure ranges in height from 9-10 inches. I was also very impressed and surprised when I found out he comes with 2 interchangeable heads and sets of hands. One head is the one you see pictured and the other is Ichigo with his hollow mask on. If you are a Bleach fan this is definitely the item to have.

got this for my girlfriend. the packaging was great and it came in a purple velvet casing that didn't allow the chain to get tangled (like i saw as a complaint for the other version of the same necklace sold on amazon). the actual heart is about the size of a grown man's thumbnail, or at least mine anyway. the metal is very shiny, the diamonds as well, and the only real complaint is that the chain is thin. i don't know if it's too thin, but it's thin. might be something that needs replacing down the road.

I bought this necklace for my girlfriend, and she loved it! I had it shipped to me so that I could make sure it was acceptable, and I noticed the pendant looked a bit small. I sent it anyway, and she has never taken it off since. When I came home from school, she showed me the necklace, and the pendant looked perfect. Not too big, or too small! The diamonds were beautiful, and not cloudy at all!! They were just big enough for the size of the pendant. You can see them very easily! The one concern I had was the chain, which was really delicate. I was afraid the chain would break easily, but it has held out. My girlfriend wears it 24/7, and it has held together. (I'm a guy so I really don't know much about necklaces, so maybe all chains look delicate yet are strong).This necklace was a great bargain! You are getting a beautiful necklace that will take your girlfriend/wife's breath away, all while not spending an arm and a leg! The company who sold it, shipped it fast. I will definitely buy from them again.

Simple and effective

By J. Fabisch 360 is in the basement, router is on the 2nd floor. My main reason for upgrading was because while watching streaming netflix movies, it would stop and downgrade the quality to keep up with the streaming movie. This doesn't happen on my pc or when I moved the 360 one floor closer to the router. The package comes with an instruction manual, installation cd and the adapter. The CD sleeve tells you to put it in first before connecting the adapter. I put it into my 360 and it just stared at me. Probably because I had already downloaded the latest 360 update through Live. The instructions were not clear on this but I feel it is for people that have never updated their 360 and need the WPA2 configuration installed to run wireless n. To clarify, to use wireless N you must use WPA or WPA2. You cannot use WEP encryption. If you do not change it on your router configuration, this adapter will run in ABG only. NOT N. You must also have a wireless N compatible router to run at wireless n speeds (duh). I already had the older MS ABG adapter wirelessly connected to my 360 and linked to my router, so I just shut it down, unplugged the usb cable and plugged this one in instead. Rebooted and ran "test connection" and it kept the old configuration memory of the connection settings (MAC and ip addresses, passwords, WPA2, etc), except it connected full "4 bars" strong and stated the connection type was n instead of g. I checked this on the router as well through my pc. Connection speeds had varied from 28 to 54 mb/s but now jumped to 52 to 108 mb/s. Tested the unit thoroughly with MW2. No hiccups in voice or connection problems with server during multiplayer or spec ops. Also tested netflix streaming. No problems here either. Watched a full movie with no recalibration/interuption. This has never happened before even on a good day. The adapter comes with little fold out feet on the bottom so you can stand it remotely if you buy a usb extension cable. Very handy feature if your 360 is buried in an entertainment rack. Offnote complaint: Router is DLink DGL4500 GamerLounge ABGN, non-firmware updated (which has been known to cause problems). People have complained that this router is not simultaneous dual band. I was on xbox live playing a game in wireless n and using my iphone (wireless g only) to look up info on the net at the same time. I believe the "simultaneous" complaint refers to wireless n devices not being able to see wireless g devices on the same server. Does not affect my configuration. Conclusion: Does everyone need this? No. But if you don't want or can't run cable through your house and want the fastest connection speed possible, this is a great trouble free solution. When choosing between the older version and the newer one, the price differences between the two MS supplied adapters is minimal enough that this should be your purchase choice unless you NEVER plan to upgrade past g or your 360 is pretty much in line of site of your router. I do not work for MS, own a PS3, have red ringed my 360, and still recommend this product. Pro's: speed, pain free installation, speed, remotely locatable, speed, 2 antennae, did I mention speed??? Con's: clamshell packing, price, vague installation instructions, fragile antennae only pivot left/right, not forward/back or rotateable, same with old one. But since it can be located remotely, not really an issue. GT: Jinx32

Wireless N - Achievement Unlocked!

By Michael Baran Can't route Cat-5 cable? This latest A/B/G & N Wireless Adapter, from Microsoft, is the next best bet. Emphasis on the "N." Do you use the Apple Airport Express or the Apple Airport Extreme as your router? No worries, there are no compatibility issues; nor are there any NAT issues that interrupt game play, an issue that plagues certain routers on the market. If you do not have an 802.11n capable router, but can spare the extra money, spring for this latest A/B/G & N wireless adapter. The Xbox 360 wireless adapter conforms to all four current wireless network standards and will work with any devices that support such. Concerned about the color of the adapter not matching the color of your console? Regardless of how you display your console, horizontally or vertically, the adapter (if plugged into the rear of your console) is hidden and all that is visible are the grey antennae. This newest adapter shares the same, almost plug-and-play, installation as the previous A/B/G generation wireless adapter. Simply plug the adapter into the back of your console and power the console on. If you are not already online, navigate to the system area of the Dashboard. Within the system area, enter in your network settings, test the settings, then log into Xbox Live and you are ready to go. I was able to tell the difference in speed immediately, even when testing the Xbox Live connection in the network settings. Gone are the issues with streaming, and Netflix looks amazing in high definition. And most importantly, I am gaming multi-player lag free! Things to consider: If you use wireless controllers with your system, you may get better performance using the 5-GHz band for your network connection, since the wireless controllers operate in the 2.4-GHz band. This also holds true with other common household devices such as cordless telephones and microwave ovens. Also, your 802.11n network only operates as fast as your slowest connected device. Therefore, if you want best performance it is suggested to switch to 5-GHz 802.11n only when gaming. Or, better, have a dual-band router dedicating feeds to the appropriate devices.

Works well if you have your router set right

By M. Owens I was getting ready to ship this adapter back after two days of tinkering with my network to get it to work with no results. My old Xbox wireless-g adapter worked fine, albeit with marginal connectivity and speed. I upgraded to this wireless-n adapter to solve those problems but found that it worked so poorly that I barely had a connection and couldn't use media center at all. I spent two days tweaking everything I could think of on my network and then, as a last resort, I just switched my router (Linksys WRT330N) to operate in the 20MHz band instead of the 40, where I had it set previously. That was all it took, and now it works great with a strong signal. So, if the adapter doesn't work for you, make sure your router isn't set for wide-40MHz channel.

This item was sold-out since 2007 in all the trustworthy, Japanese figure sites and this place was still selling it for the original price. I've been looking all over the place for this item from a non-Ebay site, and this was too good to be true.

When I received it, my main concern was with the Kadokawa Production sticker in the upper right. The foil surface was just foil, instead of holographic, reflective foil that would make it glitter like a diamond. Then again, this was released between 2006-07, so maybe Kadokawa didn't have that technology back then compared to now. The tape that sealed the box was round, instead of simple scotch tape, so that was a good sign. The skin surfaces were also soft matte instead of shiny plastic that a lot of knock-offs are notorious of. Also, the peg areas for all interchangable portions cleanly slid into place and still stuck firmly. You can even make out some of the points of Mikuru's star shaped mole, something that I couldn't see a knock-off manufacturer going through the trouble of detailing. Finally, there were no reports of fakes floating around the net at [...]. In a nutshell, these are authentic, sold-out items selling at an original price, which is why I'm giving this an automatic five-star review.

All around nice figure

By Greg Sessions For 1/10 scale, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Mikuru Asahina Bunny Girl Ver.the details are very nice. The paint job is well done. The interchangeable arms to hold the different accessories she comes with and the two facial expressions, happy and worried are a nice touch. The standing position of the figure has good movement throughout, which catches Mikuru's characteristics from the anime series. All in all I recommend this figure to any collector or person who is just looking to purchasing a character from an anime series.

Very cute! Many accessories.

By A. Zavala I bought this figure for my fiance for xmas, and he loved it! We've only seen a few episodes of Haruhi, but he also loves bunny girls so that was a plus..the other plus was that its the first figure I have seen that has squishy breasts! We laughed and poked at them for a while (following the warning not to squeeze them too hard to avoid damage to the material, lol). She comes with lots of cute accessories for a figure (3 or 4 interchangeable signs, 2 sets of interchangeable arms, two faces (for diff expressions) and some stickers that you can make into things like a money envelope (that you can stick in her top like in the series). The only thing is that I wish the figure was bigger, but even though its the smallest figure we own, it tops our favorites. =D Sooo cute!

Sharp I don't know about you, but I play casual games as an escape, to go someplace where there are no utility bills to pay or meals to cook. Somewhere new and exciting. "Dire Grove" is the perfect escape, so immersive you'll shiver in your computer chair, as it never stops snowing in the strange, isolated little English town where you're marooned behind an abandoned car, its lights on, its doors open, a cryptic note on the front seat.

The graphics are gorgeous and "Dire Grove" is a worthy successor to "Return to Ravenhearst" both as an art production and a drama. Most of the action takes place before you arrive on the scene but near the abandoned car you find the first of 20 videotapes scattered around the area which document the adventures of four graduate students who seek to find the truth behind a Celtic legend and quickly get into deep, deep trouble. The tapes are very well done and as you pick them up and listen to each one you'll detect the palpable rising distress of the students as they get sucked into a strange world from which they cannot escape. Of course, you've got to find the twenty-somethings! You've got to rescue them! With the snow crunching under your boots and the wild wind whistling in your ear, you'll explore the lonely, bleak cold area, including a creepy old bed and breakfast inn, a cemetery guarded by a hungry wolf, a sabotaged historical museum, an old mill, an abandoned barn, a boat shack and much more. Sparkles will let you know there's a hidden object cache for you to explore and you save one tool from each hidden object location to use somewhere, somehow- a saw, a plank, a hammer, nails, a fire extinguisher. All of the tools are utilitarian and perform a sensible function. There's no combining of odd or inappropriate objects, but you will have to use your ingenuity to put the tools in the proper place such as powering up a generator to provide lights for the inn. There are many stand-alone puzzles for you to solve as you trudge along in the snow. They are hard enough to be interesting but not so difficult that you become a basket case of frustration. From tile rotation to code deciphering, sliders, pattern connections and at the end a nifty riddle and alphabet sequencing puzzle, your brain will get a good workout. However, you can by-pass the puzzles if you wish. "Dire Grove" pulls you into an atmosphere of dread: gloomy orchestral music is interrupted by eerie ambient sounds, crunches, squeaks, groans. You'll get so immersed you'll forget where you are! All in all, Grove is a cut above the rest. Perhaps you can call it class, but whatever you call it, don't miss this one!

Game is worth it but...

By V. E. Deel This game is definitely worth buying if you're into hidden object games. And while I love Amazon the developer sells this version for 6.99. Catch the "this version"? There is another one. It's called the collector's edition and available only to members of Big Fish Games, the developer. It's the same price as what this one sells for here but has a built in strategy guide, a couple more scenes and behind the scene material. It also has objects that morph from one object to another (spoon to bowl to spoon) and various achievements. Fantastic series especially from Ravenhearst to Dire Grove. Definite must buy!

Really good hidden object game

By Irnbru4u search online I got it for $6.99 (downloadable) (from a famous online game company) don't pay this price! You can also play it for an hour free to see if you like it. This is a hidden object game and an adventure game combined. I really like hidden object games but to be frank the old type gets boring. This takes it up a notch and has 'point n click' - pick up an item then combine with other items or use it somewhere later in the game. Also a nice amount of puzzles thrown in. Nice amount of time - not too short and not too easy either - quite logical with the items and requres some thinking for puzzles which is refreshing. For those a fan of hidden object this is a must play game, and if you pick up like I did cheaper - it's worth the price.

By Farhan Qureshi Like many other fans who have played the Gabriel Knight series, I was eagerly awaiting the latest adventure game from Jane Jensen. After many years and multiple production houses in development, Gray Matter is finally here, and it has been worth the wait.

Disclaimer: Being a fan of Jane Jensen's adventures I may have evalauated the game to her high-set standards. The game has the trademark quality of a Jensen adventure with a great story, character depth, atmosphere and...challenging puzzles? Well, only the last feature has left me with some hesitancy in recommending the game just to any adventure games fan, especially ones that do not favor all of the above qualities over the level of challenge/brain-taxing. In this respect, Gray Matter is a lot like Dreamfall ( Longest Journey 2), i.e. a great piece of interactive fiction though somehwt lacking in the puzzle department. In fact, I found Gray Matter easier than Gabriel Knight 2. Also, certain puzzles that the female main character has to solve as her personal objective did not blend well with the main story arc. The puzzle-solving aspect is the only note-worthy low point of this title. Graphics are well-drawn, with some imaginative backdrops and colors that are appropriately dreary for the most part. Before I played the game, I saw a lot of mention about the comic-book style cutscenes in the reviews. In many instances, they are adequate, but elsewhere, you wish the cutscenes had more clarity and animation, especially when there is more happening in the scene. Jane's hubby Robert Holmes has done a great job with the soundtrack, although it is less-varied than the GK2 music. There are quite a few tracks, though throughout most of the gameplay you hear only two or so. At certain points in the story, the music may even leave you emotionally moved. Voice acting is generally very good; the only aspect I couldn't help but notice is that Dr. Styles' character sounds older than the mid-thirties character potrayed. Perhaps what sets this game of Jane Jensen apart from the GK series, apart from the obvious setting and characters, is the fact that the game leaves a lot to the interpretation of the players. If you get into the story as much as I did, you will definitely find yourself searching the web forums for explanation to certain events in the game and what other players thought about them. Some of the cutscenes are essential to revealing these. Most of this is I believe delibrate, though the end does seem a bit rushed, when compared to the general pace the story advances at. All in all, the game is a must-play for fans of the GK series, and anyone who likes their adventure games with a good dose of intrigue, atmosphere, memorable characters and decent puzzles.

Great Game

By Vahn Blackburn Let me start by saying I have played a lot of adventure games in the past, I grew up playing the classic Sierra games, Space Quest, Kings Quest, and Jane Jensen's other works Gabriel Knight to name a few. I was very excited to hear about this game, and I just finished it a few minutes ago. For those who don't know what this is, the best way I can describe it is a interactive book/novel. divided into chapters, where you play the led character, and have to go though and find out what is going on, in order to move on with the story. With this can sometimes be hard to figure out, I believe it is well worth the effort. For people tired of the same old game, give it a shot you might be surprised. For fans of Jensen's other titles I believe that you will enjoy this game, it has a feel of her other games, and it kept me hooked wanting to find out what was going to happen next. I'll leave it on this, it was nice to find a game that made me use my brain a little, which is becoming uncommon in the world of video games today.

Nice toy. The figure is perfect in color and shape. The details are awesome. Very good as a model or maquette for Japanese anime drawings. Very good quality. Just be careful not to lose the small parts because every part is removable or can be taken apart. I think some parts can also be switched with other Revoltech Queen's Blade Action figures, like hands, feet, legs, etc. The "Revoltech people" (Kaiyodo Company - those who developed "Revoltech" or "Revolver Technology") did an excellent job on this. This is perfect for practicing my Manga style drawing.

Nate doesn't look like he pumps iron, he won't win any sexiest man alive awards, and his unassuming ways make him enjoyable. Of course you may recognize the name Drake for the famous explorer Sir Francis Drake. Yes Nate is related to the famous explorer and now he is off to find the mysterious El Dorado(City of Gold). To say the least the journey will be unforgettable to most.

The story starts off more like a movie. On this quest you are accompanied by an attractive documentarian Elena and of course your comrade Sullie. What sets Uncharted apart from some many games is the cinematic approach is so seemless it makes it hard to seperate gameplay from movie watching. As your journey progresses you begin to realize you have many enemies. It seems Sullie doesn't live the cleanest life and borrowing money from a bad guy doesn't help. So now the bad guys are out to collect the debt by finding El Dorado. Although it becomes apparent that El Dorado is not a city of gold but a man of gold. Without getting too much into the story it will definately leave you filling your aderaline need. The gameplay is incredible in this game. The enemy A.I. starts off slow and quickly progresses as you get further into this game. Enemies will actually out manuever you. If you don't plan out your attacks well you will find yourself dead. Although the battles are not the only thing you face in this game there are a number of puzzles that are not overlly difficult. What I do enjoy about this game is that it has a hint option. You can use it to help you in confusing spots. Although if you are more hardcore you will probably leave this option off. There are four difficulty levels and the toughest option is locked until you beat the game on hard. What is a first for a PS3 game is the reward system that is being used. There are 60 treasures that can be found througout your journey. On top of that there are objectives that you can try to complete. Some are simple like killing a certain amount of enemies with one of your weapons and others are more complex like getting a certain amount of stealth kills. The visuals in this game are stunning and some of the best I have ever seen. What is good to watch is the incredible amount of detail put into everything. The jungle environments are lush and beautiful and the water effects are some of the best ever. Sometimes it is enjoyable just to stand and enjoy the beauty of the environment. Tree branches sway, clouds move, and leaves fly all over the place. This is as close to reality as I have seen. If you own a PS3 this game is a must buy. To say the least it is one of the best games available on any console. The storyline is enjoyable and reminiscent of many great adventure movies. Uncharted sets a new bar on next gen games and hopefully others will follow with this excellent quality. If you like action and adventure and don't mind being the star of a playable movie then Uncharted should be on your list.

Excellent Game, Even for Casual Gamer

I would like to add one point: As a casual gamer, I often get frustrated with games as I don't have the time to learn dozens of controls, nor have the dexterity I once did. Plus, too often games get frustrating and I get stuck or bored by being forced to re-do too much when I fail at a mission. This game is excellent in the sense that it is just hard enough. Yes, I played it on Easy mode, and I amazed more games don't have this. Gives hints, just hard enough, and when I have to re-do something, 90% it doesn't go back too far where I get bored and frustrated. This was one of the most fun games I have played in a long time. (And I finished it too, which is pure joy.) I hope other publishers follow this trend. People in their 30's often have the money to drop 50-60 bucks on a game, but too often we are ignored by publishers by making the games too hard.

Uncharted is the Best Game Put Out This Year

By Mark Twain Uncharted is the most fun I've had with a game in a long time. The game-play is flawlessly implemented. There is an excellent balance between fun platforming and third person shooting with the best cover system I've seen in a game. In my opinion the cover system in Uncharted works better than Gears of War. Visually this is the best looking console game ever made. Hands down, no question. As someone who enjoys immersion in games, I've never had a better experience with a video game. Have you ever wanted to play a GOOD Indiana Jones game? Well, this is that game. The world, style, and humor is straight out of Indiana Jones. So you have a game set in a world that is much like Indiana Jones, and it just happens to have some of the best game play I've experienced in any game on any console. If you own a PS3, you simply must buy this game. If you don't, I feel sorry for you. If you don't own a PS3, you should buy one to play this game, and pick up Ratchet and Clank while you're at it. You will not be disappointed.

These earrings are a perfect size - not too heavy, which nearly scared me off. They are tear shaped, rounded in the front, but FLAT in the back. This is interesting as the silver fleurs on the back show through adding interest. The earrings I purchased are a deeper red than pictured. Product shipped boxed, with Amazon jewelry care card (so, recipient will realize you got these online and not at a jewelry store).

I received the matching heart pendant for these earrings last year. The necklace heart was clearly a red garnet color. Yesterday I received these earrings bought to wear with the pendant, but the earrings are a definite brown - more smokey topaz than garnet. They are not heavy so would be comfortable to wear. The back is flat, but the silver filligree is there so each earring piece looks "finished"- if that was putting you off buying these, don't let that deter you. I do love how the silver-work shows through the "stone" if back-lighted. I'm disappointed about the color but have some brown outfits I can wear with them, even if I can't wear them with the "matching" necklace.

I read all the reviews for both the earrings and the pendant necklace and decided to purchase them anyway, even though some had said these items were not worth the money. I should have listened. When the earrings arrived one of the stones had completely came loose from the sterling silver. It was only being held on by one tiny portion of glue at the base of the stone in the first place. I was affraid the other earring would fall apart too, and I was concerned about the quality of the necklace as well, so I returned them both. The return process was easy, and unfortunately was the most pleaseant part of my shopping experience. I advise strong caution when ordering this item!

Not what I expected

This is a finely-crafted piece, and I was afraid after reading a few of the reviews here that the heart would not fit well in the casing, but it does. The heart is also wider than I expected. Nevertheless, somehow it is less beautiful that the picture suggests. It's a little flatter than I thought it would be, and I was expecting light red glass, but it's so dark it looks dull brown. Because of this, it doesn't look as impressive even with the help of the silver case, and while it's definitely not terrible, it's below my expectations. I won't be returning it, though, because the silver chain is absolutely gorgeous. It really sparkles in the light, and I'm happy with it. Was it worth $50, just for that? No, but I'll live. It just would've been so much prettier if the heart had been closer to the lighter color in the picture.

The pendant in the picture is better

I've been waiting for this to arrive for nearly two months and now thats it's finally here well...it's pretty but not that pretty. The pendant doesn't seem to be well made as the glass heart doesn't neatly fit into the metal piece. I intended to give this pendant to a friend of mine for her birthday but now I'm not so sure. Don't set the bar up to high you might be disappointed.

Ugly Heart with Nice Metal Work

The picture of the Item is highly decieving. The heart that I recieved was very flat and not transparent as depicted in the picture. Actually, when comparing the stone to a stone color scale, it is a dark amber and not even close to the anything red. I ordered this for my wife as a gift for valentines, this made me embarrassed to give it as a gift because I had shown her the image of what was on the way. I had to show her the image because Amazon stated that if I ordered the item promptly, I would be recieving it the day before Valentines, this was a incorrect. I received it on 2/19/09. Even with a white shirt, the nice metal work in the back will not ever be seen through the stone by an admirer. The stone and metal are not worth the marked up cost. I went to a local jewelry store and found something much better for the same amount for my wife. This will be my first return because the images are misleading, and should be corrected.

I was plesently suprised by this It gave me the old quake and doom feel none of that narrow hallway, military Co-Op , gone to mars B.S. just you VS. Hell with guns and a storyline.

They depict the German soldiers in the wrong way and cause nothing but hate to continue to be directed at Germans. I am sick and tired of seeing this garbage! The German soldier has always been honorable and always will be honorable!!! They aren't evil, they aren't zombies, they don't kill just to kill. Get your facts straight and stop releasing this propaganda. Yeah, I know what you think over there in Poland (where the developer is located) but you guys are lost. Also, the German language on the posters that I saw was grammatically incorrect. If you are going to try to add this to the game you might want to get someone on the team that actually knows the language.

Dieses Videospiel ist das schlimmste Videospiel (d.h. voll mit Scheiße), dass ich in eine lange Zeit gespielt habe. Warum muss die deutsche Soldaten immer Böses sein? Sie können diese Frage nicht antworten, weil sie (d.h. der Entwickler) keine Ahnung über die Wirklichkeit und Geschichte haben. Ich finde es ganz komisch und nachlässig wie die Amerikaner als einen sogenannten Held immer dargestellt ist. Dieses Videospiel lohnt sich nicht - absolut wertlos!

oh look... another "Germans are evil" video game... zzzzzzzz

By Raetsel I uninstalled this pretty quickly. It reminded me a bit of Painkiller (which is its only redeeming quality), but was so clunky that even its slight resemblance to that was killed. And then, as the title of my review stated, it's another "evil Germans" game... which I've had more than enough of. If you're going to try to pull this off, at least get some real Germans to translate and narrate as the horrid fake accents and grammar issues are pretty laughable. I wouldn't even play this for free, honestly. Better off to go back about 10 years before this game and play... well any game from back then... to have better control, just as good graphics and much more fun. Oh... it had some decent music on the initial screens, but it also sounded awfully familiar...

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.Revoltech Queen's Blade 009 Cattleya By One Man Army Well...this will be an interesting review, as per my usual, I'll start with my warnings then go into what i like and dislike about the figure. Well, if you haven't noticed this figure really isn't meant for kids... I shouldn't really have to explain this... definitely meant for the 18+ crowds -.- Also small parts you can choke on but...why would you give this to a baby in the 1st place. just keep out of reach of children - man-children as well.

What I like~ Well, its a rather solid figure, feels much more like an action figure than the previous figures in this Series line so far. This is #9 in the series so they've only gotten better really. She has a lot of articulation, but the shoulders and arms feel a bit hindered, she has a joint in the neck, shoulders, elbows and her torso is split into 3 (just like Menace) but feels much less pose-able. This is mainly because of her clothes. The articulation is there, its just wasted (unless you pose her nude...but bleh). Shes fully painted, her breasts and nether regions are also painted and sculpted. Her waist is however, a different color than the rest of her so it looks pretty unnatural when nude. Her joints are much more solid as well, and shes weighs about 2x what my Menace and Alleyne figure weigh so she feels Stable and sturdy. She comes with 3 faces, a neutral face w/ a slight smile, an angry face, and a...scared face i guess. which are easy to interchange. This is the only figure i believe that comes w/ multiple hair pieces. their identical hairpieces except 1 has Glasses and the other doesn't, and the glasses look good. Theres even lenses in them. The faces were all drawn very well, and painted very well. I'll get to my gripes about the face later. She comes w/ 6 hands, which is nice. 2 open palm hands, 2 for holding her sword, a left hand for poses where she is pushing her glasses up and a right hand which...im not really sure what its for. I guess its for the...imaginative poses. She has 1 Gigantic sword. Now...if you've seen Final Fantasy 7, Cloud has a giant sword. This makes his sword look like a toothpick. The sword, w/o the handle is taller than the figure itself. W/ the handle on, the sword is about 150% taller than she is. And its a pretty damn cool sword. It may not have as much detail as say, Echidna's weapons, or Menace's Scepter, but its still pretty cool. Its a hard plastic, and hollow but its sturdy enough. So the figure won't have a problem holding it. Her strong joints make it no problem to even 1 hand the sword. The stand works really well for her, shes stable enough to stand on her own, but the added stability lets her pull off some really impressive poses. She comes w/ 2 costumes, and i hate them both. Sounds like its time to talk about things I didn't like/don't work well.. Her articulation isn't as good as some of the other figures. Primarily because of her massive chesticles. Yeah I went most of the review w/o mentioning them once but their gigantic. And they get in the way, a lot. Oh and their squishy... well not "squishy" as in made to feel like boobs, but their really big, and hollowed out somewhat so you can squeeze them, but not really well. Its a Gimmick but a poorly done 1 in my opinion. Its just pandering to the perverted fans...which are basically all the fans of queens blade. I'm not much of a fan of queen's blade, but i am a fan of Revoltech. And I'm slowly getting most of the queen's blade figures mainly because their really well made. I did however force myself to sit thru the entire 1st season of queens blade -.- when i actually got to the part where Cattleya was featured...it was already 2 late to cancel my order lol...Its still a great figure its just...ugh. I will never ever be a fan of the queens blade anime, i wanted to actually see the characters for myself so i could better review them. understand the features of some more but bleh...Cattleya has big boobs and is really powerful thats about all you need to know. shameless really but its not like i expected it to be any better. Sadly there are a few major issues w/ the figure that need to be addressed, even though this is by far the most durable of the series, it has some pretty big flaws.For starters the costumes suck. Its not that they look bad, but their all really soft, shiny pvc. Now as i stated in my Alleyne review, the soft pvc worked really really well w/ her armor and over all look. Cattleya's does not fit well, shes a blacksmith and her clothes should all be made of leather or some sort of fabric. Not this bright obviously plastic stuff. the same goes for her boots. Now the armor on her left arm is very nice,it looks similar to the armor on Alleyne, its not so shiny and looks very good. But in contrast to her clothes it looks so dull. The left arm armor, the hands, and to some extent her collar (which i forgot to mention is removable, it hides the revoltech joint) all look dull and worn when compared to the bright shiny plastic which makes up her clothes. Another issue w/ her clothes is that it's really hard to put on/remove. There are no instructions in the box on how to change this particular figure. And if u rush to strip her, you will probably break her clothes. To change her clothes you need to remove all of the body part. Remove the upper torso, the middle and hips. which come in 3 pieces (Similar to Menace, but much thicker) but the clothes are all 1 piece. and when putting the body w/ the different clothes on you need to really get it just right or the clothes wont stretch over her oversized breasts. and if you pull too hard you will most likely break it. This next gripe is rather petty, but her head is so small. When compared next to the extra faces of menace and alleyne, her face is quite a bit smaller. Its mainly because they didn't proportion her right next to the other figures. Cattleya is the tallest of...all the characters i think, and when i compared w/ Alleyne and Menace, she was only a couple centimeters taller. So they shrunk her down to fit w/ the others i guess, i can dig it, but because her breasts are so large it just dwarfs her head...makes it feel smaller than it is. And again the revoltech storage box cant fit 1/2 the things. The sword obviously cant fit nor the handle, the spare clothes cant fit which means the box can only hold the head and hands...which leaves so much room in the box but o well. I'm going to start adding a rating system so the thickies who dont wanna read everything can scroll down and just see it :o Overall, its not a bad figure, can pose quite nicely and looks good. Which is really what you want out of the figure, i'd give her on a scale of 1-10, 1 being crap in a box, and 10 being pure perfection (me in a box O_o;? ) overall a 7.5/10 she aint perfect, but she is a good figure. Just her gimmick gets in the way and her clothes could have been made better. Great figure

By Valenin This product is great, even more so if you are a revoltech or Queens blade fan. It's a little flimsy, and not meant for play, but rather posing, as is most Revoltech figures. It's very well sculpted, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
