It's the Show Show Podcast, back from the dead! No, we're not turning into a zombie podcast.

Myron and Dan began the show by letting people know they're back from break, then got right into talking about two upcoming movies, Fast 7 and Avengers: Age of Ultron. There's significant hype around both, and one is talking Oscar...

Video games ruled the next segment, with Myron detailing his playing experience with Dying Light and giving a quick preview of Borderlands: Handsome Jack Collection. Dan then gave an overview of his (painful) experiences with Bloodborne so far.

The show wrapped up with a quick discussion about Exploding Kittens, a card game which is the most successful KickStarter in history.

SSP Episode 4 Part 2

Welcome back to The Show Show Podcast, part two of two, live from Games & Things in Elmwood Park, Illinois!

Part two focuses on other gaming chats, some video and one board. The gaming conversation around a new IP, Sunset Overdrive, was optimistic based on early play results by the crew. Myron talks about his early experience with Dragon Age: Inquisition, and Myron and Dan both lament the release of Assassin's Creed: Unity.

Music was next on the docket, as Roland from Bionic Cavemen was in the house. The show played The 77. This local band was right in Dan's wheelhouse, and he was pretty unashamed to admit it.

Finally, Game of Thrones (the tabletop game) was explained by Al. At this point, the show was running really long, so Myron and Dan wrapped things up with a promise to return to Games & Things again!

SSP Episode 4 Part 1

Hey guys, check out part one (of a two part cliffhanger) of this week's The Show Show Podcast!

In this episode, live from Games & Things in Elmwood Park (because all other shows are somehow not recorded live) we talked with Al about the future of his store and a Thanksgiving throwdown with a rival store.

Movies were first on the docket, with non-spoilery reviews of Big Hero 6 and Interstellar, followed by a preview of The Fantastic 4.

We moved on to some game talk; Shadow of Mordor and its nemesis system, Sunset Overdrive and it's methods to get you to play a difficult game, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and then dumped all over Assassin's Creed Unity.

At this point, we were running long, so the show is being split into two episodes. Next time... Some rad music from The Bionic Cavemen.

SSP Episode 3

In this episode, the SSP crew talked about the future of Hollywood movies: Super Heroes. Apparently, the only movies worth seeing for the next century feature flying men and women in very tight clothing, figuratively and literally!

Myron couldn’t help bringing up his Destiny again, as he finally worked through the root of the issue: Myron’s router and the help Microsoft refused to give! Needless to say, that part of the conversation went on for a while. Hopefully, the next time the crew speaks about Destiny, it’ll be about the game, and not about the failings of the technology industry.

To close off the show, the SSP crew talked about two new tabletop games that are awesome; Zombicide and Cards Against Humanity.

SSP Episode 2

In this episode, the SSP crew talked that crazy movie sensation Gone Girl. They actually got through a discussion on the movie without spoiling it at all! They also talked about a few games that are out now that are taking up their time. Of course there's Destiny, but also The Sims 4 and others.

Dan opened up the discussion about the new Thor in comic books and the crew had a lot of fun talking about how Marvel can make women leading heroes not suck (i.e., 1) write a good comic book, 2) sell it).

Finally Myron led the discussion about smart watches and gave the bit technology companies some ideas about what would make normal people see the value in getting yet another 200+ dollar gadget to keep track of.

SSP Episode 1

In this episode, the SSP crew talked about a bunch of items at length. Dan talked about the hype surrounding Deadpool the movie and his sincere hope for Ryan Reynolds to play the big D.

The crew also talked a bit about Myron's fantasy football league. The crew discussed the Xbox live network a bit and gave Bungie some shit about it's network on the Destiny game.

Myron interviewed a new gaming store in Elmwood Park, IL. named Games & Things and the the crew finished off the show discussing, hilariously, the Bend-gazi scandal surrounding the Iphone 6 release.
