My question to you though, Google, is how do you know my bipedal motion? Sure, you could take the average human gate or approximately 3.8 mph and calculate it from there, but what about those 8 foot giants that like to take liesurely stroll with their midget neighbor powerwalking?

Google, while I rarely question your greatness, I ponder upon the time portion of the walking directions. Perhaps, in a bid to have more people sign up to Google accounts and to praise all things Google, you could allow us to set our own speeds? After all, the more information you can acquire from your consumers directly, the less you need to bot crawl the internet.

While some may not know how fast they walk, I do know that Teh James tends to meander, specifically around 1.5 kilometers an hour; can’t lie, I enjoy the scenery.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hollows has been released in Japan. Oh what joyous celebration have we!

This has me so excited, that I MUST go to Hiroshima and buy some Glow Sticks. Radioactive hydrogen isotopes aren’t that dangerous are they? I mean, it’s the same substance that’s sometimes used in the glowing dials of your wrist watch, or that’s used in that light reactive tongue ring you have. Don’t worry though, if it gets in your bloodstream, it’ll only last for around 787 years.

Old news I know for probably some, but I only just now got around to playing with it, Google Japan Maps, Otaku not included thank the Gods.

Now, I can zoom in on Akihabara for all the latest technologies before they hit the streets anywhere else, catch the latest fashion crazes in Harajuku, or just watch the Chuken Hachiko statue, always faithfully waiting for his master’s return. Any time I want, Japan is there for me to poke and prod.

You know, I think might just go hang with the blonde haired blue-eyed people of Hokkaido, after all, the Japanese very well may be one of the Lost 10 Tribes of Israel.

Either way, their tech is way rad.

There is a solution for this growing problem, do not let your friends taste plugins. If they are not running their own site this is a simple task, but the real problem lies with those who spent time seeing if plugins are compatible or those that use plugins because someone else is. At this point you need to sit them down and have an intervention.

Plugin tasting is bad.

Plugin tasting and having a single plugin malfunction is horrible.

Save your friends before it is too late.

There is a video detailing WordPress 2.6 (which I was going to talk about later this month at some point, but can’t be angry the gift was early) that I will include after the jump.  The big feature that alot of bloggers have been waiting for is the ability to bulk reactivate plugins and delete unused ones from the admin panel. There are many “plugin tasters” out there (myself included) and this feature addition will make us all happy.

According to the report, Tama the cat was born at one house, enjoyed his life there and was very happy.
Suddenly one day, Tama disappeared, leaving his owner upset.
Two years later, Tama returned to his original owner’s home in good health.
Suspecting someone else must be caring for Tama, she devised a wonderful plan and attached a letter to Tama’s collar. In the letter she was seeking the person who had been caring for him.
Tama’s second owners, who named him Azukichi, sent a reply in the same manner.
Tama’s second home was only 200 meters away, and now both of his owners exchange letters, via cat post, on a regular basis.
According to the report, Tama usually takes an hour or so to deliver, however he has been known to take as much as half a day to deliver his post.

While not entirely the same concept, Metroseeq definitely a great site to scope out as well when you’re looking for deals and locations nearby to help cut the costs down on overall living.

I would’ve had this post written a little while ago, but I’ve only just now returned from an impromptu 3 week vacation, but while I was working on getting this entry out this morning something happened. A not to fun something at that, because as you see, at my current location, I’m unable to actually access the site.

I will write a full review later on this evening or tomorrow night though.

Meebo is well known for its web client that we all love dearly. No need to try to hack the system at work when you can just login at Meebo. One would assume that there are enough multi-chat programs out to satisfy people by now. (Especially since Digsby entered the ring.) Well there are some folks out there that just love Meebo soo much they wish it was a desktop app so they would not have to deal with multiple interfaces.
Their prayers have been answered. Meebone, the AIR app has arrived.
Even being part of the legion of Digsby Diggers, it is evident to me that Meebone is basically at home in the bottom right corner of my 2nd monitor. Its quite nice having the business info on one screen and the play on the other–chat clients included. Might be a productivity booster.

Update 7/22 it is out.

Now it is time to do your happy dance. There is now an official WordPress app for the IPhone. No more having to fight Safari to get that post in. Now mobile bloggers can handle their business on the fly at the various cons. And that also means bloggers on the go can just post directly to their sites instead of using the service that must not be named. The best part is that its not just the WordPress users that get to party, there is also an app out for TypePad.
Rejoice, you just got hooked up with the sweet goodness of efficient mobile blogging.

IPhone’s are lovely devices, even though they are over priced and overhyped. But you didn’t need anyone to tell you that unless you were under a really, really big rock for quite some time. Being sensible, some folks wait until Apple or another large company (usually Apple though) comes out with something really cool. Then they purchase the very similar product a competitor produces later with all the good features and vast improvements, myself included. Some folks think it is a little nerve wracking having the most popular thing because others like to attack it–like Windows.

Well, there is a captivating program out by Tapulous called Handshake for the IPhone that is just sweet. Now I want to run out and buy one just to shake the phone once.

There is also a Face Dialer program paired with it part of an app called Friend Book. There are also some games …but those just are not as interesting.
