Smartphone technology today, reach its unprecedented peak where almost all features dreamed by its users are available. Since, we saw the first smartphone released back in the early 2000’s, flocks of features that pleases the user, really helps the daily life, many different aspect. This features includes emails, GPS, etc.

Smartphone makers such Nokia, Blackberry and Samsung push hard the boundary of limitations of technology to develop more advance features. But here comes huge leap in technology back in 2007, where a smartphone don’t have a keypads anymore but instead a huge screen only. This new type of smartphone was unveil by Apple, they called it “iPhone”. Apple was known, for its “iPod”, where incredible amount of music can be stored into small device. Since, unveiling of iPhone in 2007, smartphone technology was never been the same. It can do more task and have more features, but the most known feature was the “touch screen” technology.

Touch screen smartphone became a trend, and many smartphone makers begins to make this new type. With this trend, many new companies emerge specially those chip makers, because smartphone makers wants to have a supplier of parts for their new smartphones. Then, rivalry begins to emerge but it’s more like a competition on what brand of smartphones that have latest or more advance features.

Today’s smartphone, packs a features where user only dreamed ten to fifteen years ago. This features includes a powerful chipset, a HDR type-camera, an excellent security features, better screen display and more.

But last year, a new type of smartphone idea emerges where parts can be change indivually. They called it “modular smartphone”, this idea was being made by GOOGLE. LG G5, have similar idea, because their battery can be swap or change and other accessories can be inserted also. Google’s “Progect Ara” could be the next leap to smartphone technology, however smartphone makers seems not to like this idea, because it may slow or decrease their profit but for the consumer it is a very good idea, because they can save huge money. Instead of buying a whole smartphone, only parts that slows the smartphone or upgrading some parts to improve the smartphone, and this means saving money.

If smartphone makers don’t embrace this new idea because it will really affect their profitability, smartphone technology might not step forward, although some minor technology will such a OLED display and others. Smartphone of 2016 might look similar to the smartphone of 2026, if there is no new idea will emerge. Or a new type of communication device will emerge in the future, where we did not image that it could become into a reality.

Smartphone Battery is left behind by Technology

Today, smartphones became really “smartphone”, few years back, cellphones can make only some calls, text or send emails. With released of the first iPhone back 2007, it trigger a revolution in the mobile industry. It brings a whole new things on word “mobile”, one of it is changes the word “cellphone” to a word “smartphone”. Also, it was a great help on our daily activities we perform.

Technology on the smartphones, develops rapidly that features came out life mushrooms. The features of this year will be irrelevant on tomorrow’s smartphones. This features includes high resolution camera with some DSLR functions, powerful operating systems, and enhance security features on smartphones. By this features alone, smartphone became the number one gadget that a human must have.

But still today, sad to say, there’s one thing smartphones have in common that are not being improves it technology; and this the battery. And we know, that battery problems began to emerge today.

One of the most popular battery problems that occurs, when Samsung’s latest phablet (Galaxy Note 7), began to heat rapidly and some exploded. Considering the fact that Galaxy Note 7 have one of the best feature or the best features in this sleeve, suffer this type of problems. This problems, continue to occur when many of its user reportedly it many social media sites. Immediately, Samsung issue an exchange for this device but still after using those exchange Note 7, the problem still persist.

Hopefully, next year battery improvements could be the next features that a smartphone has, because without a battery smartphones are useless. If battery technology will not be improves, more problems will occur and could harm people.

Apple's iOS 9.3.5 is now out to fix security flaw

Apple recently discovered a vulnerabilities on their security in the current iOS 9.3.4. Today, they released another patch to fix this problem, Apple recently released the fifth update of iOS 9, the iOS 9.3.5. But this update did not have any additional features only to fix this vulnerabilities.

According the New York Time, an Israeli-based mobile surveillance software company named “NSO Group” reportedly took advantage on the iOS security vulnerabilities to spy journalist and government officials. This security vulnerabilities allow the NSO Group the read emails and text. Also, they track user locations, sounds, and contacts of the users. After receiving a warning notice from Bill Marczak and John Scott-Railton of The Citizen Lab, Apple immediately patch this security vulnerabilities.

Earlier on this month, Apple just patch the “Pangu Jailbreak of iOS 9.3.3” with the iOS 9.3.4. And the upcoming iOS 10 will be available next month, together with the launch of the upcoming iPhone 7.

The iOS 9.3.5 update will be available on iPhone 4s and later, iPod Touch (5^th Generation) and later, and the iPad 2 and later. In order to get this update, you can download it via OTA and using iTunes. In OTA, go to Settings > General > Software Update. This update is around 30 MB – 40 MB depending on the device.

Xiaomi to reveal there latest "Redmi" smartphone this coming July 27th

Recently, Xiaomi’s smartphones, had been on many rumors and leaks, which includes the upcoming Mi Note 2 and Mi 5s, their upcoming flagship smartphone and phablet. Also, Xiaomi might introduce the Redmi Note sooner, on the other hand Redmi Pro just been surfaced lately. One of the following device, might be announce soon, because Xiaomi will host an event before the month will end.

A Chinese actor, Liu Hao Ran, also one of Xiaomi’s new spokesperson, revealed that Xiaomi will host an event this coming July 27^th at Beijing National Convention Center. This announcement did not come by accident, the company planned this carefully, since the one who announce it, is one of Xiaomi’s spokesperson at Redmi line, this make a lot of sense now.

Recently, a leaked of Xiaomi device with two camera sensors, which teased by their own spokesperson, and might be the Redmi Pro not the Redmi Note 4.

If leaked to be believed, Redmi Pro might have Helio X25 64-bit deca-core processor, which the same to the Meizu Pro 6 processors. This upcoming device will have 4GB of RAM and will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, MIUI 8 is included also. Xiaomi managed to sell 110 million of Redmi-branded smartphone that’s why Xiaomi releases many Redmi-branded device each year.

Samsung sends out invitations for August 2, Unpacked Event in New York

One of the most anticipated release this year, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 will finally be unveiled this coming August 2 at Samsung Unpacked event, which will be in New York City and will be simultaneously been live to two other place; Rio de Janeiro and London. And this following event can livestream at Samsung Newsroom, http://news.samsung.com/global/.

Samsung had even written its press release regarding the Galaxy Note 7 and why they had skip Note 6 name for the device.

“First, the Galaxy Note7 will complement our Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, and unify our product portfolio. Second, the Galaxy Note7 will minimize confusion about the latest mobile technology from Samsung, and provide full alignment with Galaxy S smartphone.”

Galaxy Note 7 still not announced, but Samsung already excited on show us what this upcoming smartphone have. Still no official specs had release that Galaxy Note 7 will be having. But many rumors, suggest that it might have 5.8 inch dual-edge display, similar to the current Galaxy S7 Edge.

Also rumors includes, a 12-megapixel camera at the back and 5-megapixel on the front, a 6GB of RAM together with 64GB of expandable storage, either 4000 mAh or 3600 mAh battery and an IP68 certification. But still not words, about the CPU’s, on what regions will have the Exynos chips and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon.

The only thing now to do is to wait Samsung’s Unpacked event.

New Leak Shows Another Disappointment of iPhone 7

Since the release of the first iPhone back in 2007, many people around world loves iPhone, from its features to its unique design where many smartphone manufacturers copy it recently.

In the past leaks, Apple’s upcoming iPhone will have a similarity to their previous iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s, where it was not a huge deal. When the upcoming iPhone 7 does than the previous design make it’s lovers to hate it..

A recent leaked of the upcoming iPhone 7 (real) design had been buzzing the social media. From a reliable leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka OnLeaks), revealed the actual design of the upcoming iPhone 7. He is the responsible for leaking the design of iPhone 6 and 6s, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S7 prior to its launch.

The image above, shows a similarity of the design to the current iPhone 6s but with revised antenna band and to have a larger camera, believes to have increase aperture not megapixels. Also, the image show an alarming protrusion on the rear camera.

However this design decision is been long preached by Jonathan Ive, former Apple Head of Design where he have dislikes about the iPhone have small protrusion. But many iPhone owners, complaints when iPhone is being placed at a table, it will not completely flat. And iPhone 7 might have similar problem about this.

Will this camera protrusion be an additional disappointment?, since rumors telling that iPhone 7 Plus will not have dual-camera set up and Apple will remove 3.5mm headphone jack.

Renders Appears as Allegedly to be the Nexus 5P

Google’s Nexus smartphone are one of the best smartphones that are currently available today in the market, the current Nexus 6P still a powerful device but it is nearly a year since its release. And Nexus 6P’s manufacturer was Huawei, and for this year is HTC, and we know that HTC are one of giant’s in smartphone making.

There are a lot of rumors regarding about this upcoming smartphone, from the specs to the looks of it. Today, a new leaked had been release to the web where it was allegedly as the Nexus 5P or "Sailfish" as the codename.

The looks of this smartphone seem to have similarity on last year’s Nexus 5X, and the colors for this upcoming smartphone includes Grey, Red, Black and White.

In the previous rumors, tells that the upcoming Nexus, codenamed “Sailfish” or Nexus S1 will be the successor of the Nexus 5X, but today’s leak suggest a name of Nexus 5P. This means, it might be different at all, since HTC’s current flagship the HTC 10, is rumored to be named as HTC One M10.

In addition for that, here are the rumored specs for the upcoming Nexus 5P:

* 5 inch 1080 display (no details yet about the screen type)

* Quad-core 2.0 GHz 64-bit processor (probably Qualcomm Snapdragon 820)

* 4 GB of RAM

* 32 GB internal storage (it might larger storage capacity depends on the price tag)

* 2770 mAh battery

* 12-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front-facing camera

* Finger print scanner (rear placement)

* USB-C port, bottom-firing speakers, Bluetooth 4.2 module and top-mounted headphone jack

The only thing now, is that this rumors might have truth on it or the upcoming Nexus might installed a surprise to tech lovers or smartphone enthusiast. We will wait the launch date on this upcoming smartphone.

Apple's 40 Million iCloud Accounts Might Be Held Hostage by Russian Ransomware

Apple security features for their software and device are outstanding, it’s very difficult to hack in to it. Apple’s iPhone have an iCloud feature, which is also an additional security for the device. Owners of any Apple iPhone must have an iCloud account in order to add this security feature to the device.

According to CSO online, Apple’s iCloud account seems to be hacked by some urbane hackers that makes the iPhone being hostage by Russian ransomware. Also, they add that about 40 million iCloud account rumored to be at risk.

Back in the February, some iPhone users discovers that their iPhone have been held hostage by some Russian hackers. The attack is almost too simple.

Apple’s iCloud account is broken to (with the help of broken credentials) and the feature “Find My iPhone.”

According to Salted Hash, blog of CSO “It starts with a compromised Apple ID. From there, the attacker uses Find My iPhone and places the victim’s device into lost mode. At this point, they can lock the device, post a message to the lock screen and trigger a sound to play, drawing attention to it.

In each of the cases reported publicly, the ransom demanded is usually $30 to $50. If a victim contacts the referenced email address, in addition to payment instructions, they’re told they have 12 hours to comply or their data will be deleted.”

A security professional posted a message to a private email group requesting the information related to a possible compromised 40 million iCloud account, earlier on this week.

CSO’s blog Salted Hash starts to excavate the story after the email was received. In it, a list of members questioning the others about the truth of the rumor concerning “rumblings of a massive (40 million) data breach at Apple.”

The message tells that alleged breach was carried out by a Russian actor, “seems to be via iCloud to the ‘locate device’ feature, and is then locking the device and asking for money.”

Many security expert claims that with this magnitude of data breach it will not likely that Apple will not made any comment nor have fix this new problems. There is no way that this new problem will slip Apple’s radar. And Apple had not commented about this matter.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Active is not Water-Proof at all

Samsung’s current flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge were consider to be one of the best smartphone or the best smartphone available in the market today. This current smartphone powerful specs and some latest features. One of the feature it had was the water-resistant. Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge was graded IP68, means that this smartphone is allowed to be under water for 30 minutes with 5 feet in deep.

An American magazine, Consumer Reports had been supported by their subscribers to perform a rigorous testing to any consumer products, from a car to any appliances. And this time, they choose the Samsung Galaxy S7 series, if the claim about the truth about IP68.

During the test, Samsung Galaxy S7 Active (including other Galaxy 7) is rated for up to five feet for 30 minutes. They used a tank of water which is being placed under 2.12 PSI for 30 minutes, to test the claim of Samsung. Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, did not survive the test without any damage because of complications.

The water breached the device and in the front and back camera lenses fogs can be seen, including the device’s screen, and did not perform normally. And in the sim tray, water is also coming out.

However, Consumer Reports figured out that the device might be defective, and they decided to do the same test again. The result for the second phone, was also the same, water breached into the smartphone’s exterior yet again.

After this following test, Samsung is been contacted and now investigating about this problem. Consumer Reports said that both Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge performed the same test but it does not have any issues at all.

Because of this failure, Consumer Reports said “with this failure, we cannot recommend the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active”.

The Upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 7's rumors might be true; base on Antutu

After the release of Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, yet another highly anticipated smartphone to be unveiled this year is the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 7.Samsung’s successor to the Galaxy Note 5, the Galaxy Note 7 has been spotted on Antutu. The device with a name (SM-930V) is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820, and have a Quad HD (2560X1440) display.

The image on the top shows that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 7, will have a 4GB of RAM paired with 64GB of storage. For the camera, it will have 13-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel on the front. It will run on the current Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

With this specs, it seems that rumors that surround the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 7 might not be true at all. And it’s not even powerful as to the current Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Seems those 823 SoC and 6GB of RAM are just entirely rumors.

Still, no official news regarding about the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 specs, the only things now is to wait the coming August for the unveiling of this upcoming smartphone.

"Hummingbad" infecting Millions of Android device now

A new malware had recently been discovered, which infected more than 100 million of Android devices. First discovered by Check point last February, they painstakingly track this malware that lead them t o a group of cybercriminals from China. This malware was named “Hummingbad.”

Yingmob, was responsible for this malware “Hummingbad”, which is a Chinese ad server, is said to generate about $300,000 monthly of revenues using a fraudulent ad and effectively controls millions of Android devices around the world.

This malware, enables a root access of the Android devices that will result in fraudulent ad revenue, and can install addition fraudulent apps.

The most Android version infected by this malware is KitKat which is about 50%, then followed Jellybean that is about 40%, about 7% that runs Lollipop, 2% on Android Ice Cream Sandwich and 1% for the Android Marshmallow.

Since, the Android device is rooted, the group can create a botnet, which will carry out the targeted attacks on government agencies or business sector, and even sell this access to other cybercriminals, according to the report of Check Point.

Android devices, can be infected by browsing websites that contains this malware, which will attempt to take control the device through “root access”. If the malware fails, it will then send a fake update notifications to further attempts to trick the user to grant malware system-level permission. Photos to password are most at risk once the malware infects the device.

According to Check Point, Android users must install anti-virus software, always check root permission, and keep the software, including apps up-to-date.

Apple just released iOS 10 beta 2 for developers

Last month, Apple just released the iOS 10 but for the developers only, with a developer account of course. This new operating system brings a lot of changes and will be the next major update for the iPhones, iPads and iPod Touch this coming fall.

Today, Apple again released the second beta for the iOS 10, this new updates will address the bug and will improved other things as well. This new version of iOS 10 beta 2, will be available for download via over the air (OTA) update or as a direct download from Apple’s developer website.

Also, Apple will be releasing the second beta of macOS Sierra in just couple of minutes, after the company updates the developer’s website. Still, this updates is for developers only.

The features of the iOS 10, includes an improved Siri with third party integration. Also, a complete redesigned lock screen with more notifications that can be display in a tiny widgets. This tiny widgets can access via 3D Touch at the home screen.

The Photos app will have a huge update as well with the face recognition, deep learning categorization and intelligent photo albums. Also many receives a big update, including the Apple Maps, Phone App, Home Kit and Apple Music.

A huge change in the Message app, this includes many features such a message effects, Slack-like feedback on messages, a emojify features, rich link previews and third-party extensions.

Still, there’s no words about the official public release of iOS 10 public beta.

Blackberry's classic smartphones will be no more

The word “smartphone” was been popularize by the Canadian company, Blackberry. When they first released of their handset it was instantly hit to the people. Their design of their smartphone looks liked the miniature version of a laptop, a display, a trackpad for the scrolling and physical keyboard on it.

Since the release of the first iPhone, where it’s all about screen, no physical keyboard, people begins to leave Blackberry and starts to love the iPhone. Since then, many smartphones emerge, this includes Android powered devices. And Blackberry, then begins to struggle in the couple of years.

Recently, Blackberry released an Android-powered smartphone, the Priv, where a large touchscreen display together with slide-out keyboard on the bottom, makes this smartphone a classic.

Today, Blackberry blog post doesn’t tells directly that they will no longer make the classic smartphone that made them famous, but the post imply that they will be focusing on the smartphone that runs on Android platform.

This quote was written by Ralph Pini, Blackberry’s new head of the device that joined recently the company to revamp its smartphone offerings for the modern world. Regarding the Classic predecessor, Blackberry looks like to retire the form factor as a whole and not just newer versions.

However, Blackberry tells that they will still to continue supporting the Blackberry 10 and it will continue to sell the classic until the supply runs out.

Renders leaked on the upcoming Huawei's Honor 8

Recently, a leak had been released online showing the Huawei’s upcoming Honor 8, which shows the front and the back of this coming smartphone. As we can see the image below, it shows the White variant of this upcoming smartphone.

The upcoming Huawei’ Honor 8 design was being revealed in this renders was inline on last month’s, TENAA revelation. As for the fan of the Honor brand, this upcoming smartphone have similarity on the current Honor V8, which can be easily recognizable in the front of this device.

Huawei is expected to reveal this upcoming smartphone, this coming July 11. The upcoming Huawei Honor 8 will be powered by Kirin 950 chipset, while it will have two variants; the 3GB/4GB of RAM paired with 32GB/64GB/128GB storage option. It will have 5.2 Full HD display. For the camera, 12megapixel will be at the rear and 8-megapixel is expected at front. It will have 2900 mAh battery capacity.

Many Android devices are not that secured than we thought

Another vulnerabilities in security had been recently discovered in smartphone, especially which runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and powered by a Qualcomm chips. This security flaw will leave Android smartphone user in very serious problem.

A security analyst name Gal Beniamini from the Israeli Defense Force, conducted an investigation that revealed that devices are seriously vulnerable to so called “Brute Force Attack”, where the hackers can breach the security measures by just doing a persistent trial and error action.

Since the released of Android 5.0 Lollipop, Android rolled out a Full Disk Encryption (FDE), where it involves the smartphone to generate a 128-bit master key based on the user’s password.

The problem here, is that the way which the key is being stored to the smartphone can be easily be cracked by any law enforcement agencies and the worse are the criminals.

FBI’s recent case was involving about the phone encryption on Apple’s iPhone, where the authorities wants the Apple to decrypt the iPhone of the attackers in the San Bernardino shootings in the U.S. But the problem was that Apple, could not even decrypt the FDE of the iPhone that ran on 256-bit.

According to Neowin, these are namely flaws in how Qualcomm processors verify security and Android kernels – the core operating system.

Beniamini explains in blog post outlining the full details of the Android hack, both Google and the chip-maker Qualcomm have been aware about this vulnerabilities, the smartphone use may require to have hardware upgrade to fix this issue.

The blog post, explained how vulnerable smartphones could be targeted everyday activities, this includes text messages, e-mail and web browsing.

Android Nougat is coming to HTC 10, One M9 and One A9

Since, Google had announced their latest Android version, “Nougat”. HTC confirmed that they will release this new Android version for their select handset, this includes HTC 10, HTC One M9 and the One A9.

During the Google I/O last May, the company announced that they would allowed the use to submit names for their latest Android, at that time it was named Android N. however, many reports claiming that Android N, would be named an Android 7.0 Nutella, but many preferred on more brittle candy or chewy, sounds like a nougat, which is official of the latest Android version.

Right after Google I/O, HTC is the first smartphone manufacturer to announce that they will release Android Nougat to their handset.

But the biggest problem, is that many Android smartphone owners might wonder on when they will receive this software update, since many are just starting to receive the Android Marshmallow. And Android smartphone could not receive this version because of their carriers or manufacturers.

On the contrary, rumors telling that Google had putting a pressure to the smartphone manufacturers and have considered to release a report on how long the smartphone manufacturers to release a major Android version.

HTC has not yet release a time frame on when they will release this update to their handset, this includes HTC 10, One M9 and One A9, but we will update you about this news.

Late Changes for iPhone 7 revealed

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 7, the successor of current iPhone 6s, may be already done and mass production has already started for the big launch this coming September. A recent leaks, telling that the upcoming iPhone 7 have recently been receive some last minute upgrade, both internally and externally.

Here are the two last minute upgrade for the upcoming iPhone 7:

1. Color Black will return

The upcoming iPhone 7 will offer a color “Space Black”, this a welcoming news by Apple. Since 2013, iPhone 5S was the one who used the color “Space Black”, where Japanese site MacOtakara and 9to5Mac have independent source that coincide on this news.

And still the upcoming iPhone 7 will retain the color of the current iPhone 6s, the Gold, Rose Gold, Silver and Space Gray.

2. No 64GB model

According to website Weibo, a leaked revealing that the upcoming iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will not produce the 64GB storage model. Upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 7 images leaked out

In just a month from now, the successor of the famous Samsung Galaxy Note 5, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be unveiled. But still no official announcement about, however rumors and leaks are flooding the web.

Today, a new leaked had just been released by a leaker Evan Blass via twitter, showing a set product image where it shows a name at back telling Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on three different colors, this includes Black Onyx, Silver Titanium and Blue Cora. This particular images are the clearest yet to be released.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will have the latest Snapdragon 821/823 chipset together with a huge 6GB of RAM. As for the display, it will have a 5.7 QHD Super AMOLED with dual-edge display same to the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. The battery will a 3600 mAh to 4000 mAh. The camera will be 12-megapixel but with more improvement than current camera of the Galaxy S7.

But the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will have a new feature, an “iris scanner”, which it will replace the current fingerprint scanner on many other smartphones. This new feature will allow the user to use his/her eye to unlock this smartphone.

This new leaked image suggest that the iris scanner will be supported by front-facing sensor setup with two openings on the side of front camera.

Update: According to blogger Stephen Chan, during at Mobile Security Conference (MOSEC), Pangu released a video that shows a working iOS 10 jailbreak with Cydia is working fine but this jailbreak still at beta stage of development.

Also, a rumor spreading out that Pangu will release a jailbreak on iOS 9.3.2 within this week.

Since the release of iOS 9.3 firmware, the jailbreaking community had been very quiet. But, the China-based jailbreaking site Pangu, seems to have an unofficial tool with working solution for iOS 9.3.3, despite not releasing a jailbreak since iOS 9.1.

From the website, Pangujailbreak, the tool will on the iOS 9.3.3 developer beta 1 and 2, and they are aiming to release this tool as soon as Apple officially release this firmware to the public. Also, they warned that unofficial Pangu 2.3 tool are still not available to the public and they strongly advised not to search this tool online.

A warning was been issued by Pangu telling that “Don't try to search this tool on file sharing sites or full software sites, some sites ask you to complete the online survey to download this tool, But you will nothing get after you complete the survey."

However, Apple will fix this iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak in the future, and Pangu has this to say.

According to the jailbreak team, "Sometimes, Apple may fix security issues and iOS 9.3.3 with their further beta updates, that's why Jailbreak hackers hesitate to release the beta jailbreak to public."

In addition to that, Pangu declared “Apple has not fixed any unpublished beta Jailbreak with public iOS version release.”

According to the site, iOS 9.3.3 upgrade is recommended, if the device is still in iOS 9.3.2 semi-jailbreak or Taig 9 partial jailbreak, as to partial jailbreak are still not available on iOS 9.3.3 for this time.

On the other hand, an Italian hacker Luda Todesco (qwertyuiop in twitter) just exploited the iOS 9.3.3 beta 1 and will release the jailbreak tool named “GasGauge Jailbreak” for the first time.

Google just revealed Android Nougat with cool new features

Google just revealed their latest Android version named Nougat. Android N will replaced last’s year Marshmallow, where it performs an exceptional performance, which it fixes some problems that Android faces as an operating system.

Owners of Android powered smartphone will be receiving their major upgrade soon. Nougat will have a new features coming to Android smartphones are better battery performance and improved battery life, thanks to new Doze feature, where the operating system will detect if the smartphone is being use on in idle mode.

With this new Android version, smartphone screen can now support split screen apps. This new feature, have a similarity to the iOS, where applications can run side to side or above one another.

Other features includes, a “night mode” where the Android smartphone will be cut down harmful lights, when it is being use during the night and also, better support on virtual reality games and apps. Android have also a feature called “Direct Reply Option” where the user will be able reply any text message or do a task directly through the notification interface.

The big question is, when we can get this new Android version?

Google tells that they will begin releasing this new Android later this year, the first smartphones to receive this update will be the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X.

Of course, Samsung, LG and HTC will be starting to release Android Nougat by end of 2016 or early of 2017.

Report: Other Nexus, codenamed "Marlin" specs leaked out

A leaked last week, showing the specs on one of the Nexus smartphones, where it will be manufacture by HTC. It has codename “Sailfish”, which will the successor of last year’s LG Nexus 5X.

This day, another leaked had been release, where it will be about the other Nexus smartphone by the same source. The other Nexus smartphone will be bigger, which it will sport a 5.5 inch display and it the codename for this upcoming smartphone is “Marlin”.

For the specs of this upcoming Nexus smartphone, it will have an either the Snapdragon 820, which is currently being used by other high end smartphone or the latest Snapdragon 821/823. A 4GB of RAM together with 32GB or 128GB of internal storage.

A QHD Super AMOLED display on it, for the camera it will have an 8-megapixel front facing and 12-megapixel on the rear. A battery of 3,450 mAh. Other features, includes fingerprint scanner at the rear, Bluetooth 4.2, USB type-C port and a Bottom-firing speakers. It will be running the upcoming Android Nougat, same with “Sailfish”.

The “Marlin” are very interesting in regards in internal memory, because it will only have two options on it, the 32GB or 128 GB memory, which 64GB version will not be available.

The difference between the “Sailfish” and “Marlin” will be screen size and battery capacity. This means that, it will have same capabilities but different in prices, where last year’s Nexus smartphone feels to have a mid-range and premium ones. As to the same capabilities, the upcoming smaller Nexus might be a little expensive than the last year’s 5X.

Apple released the fourth beta of iOS 9.3.3 for developers and testers

Recently, Apple had just released the four beta for iOS 9.3.3, together with the OS X 10.11.6, where this two updates will be available only for the developers and the public beta testers. In addition to this, Apple also released an update on tvOS, which is available only for the developers.

The released of this three new betas just carry only minor updates, which made this betas more unusual is that Apple just released it after eight days after the previous betas being released. But there’s a significance about this release, the latest OS shows some hint where an imminent public release might be available sooner.

This fourth beta release of the iOS 9.3.3, will make those iOS device being tuned for better performance and address the problems brought by the previous iOS 9.3.2. By far, no major problems had occurred or being found. This update might by some time for the upcoming released of the iOS 10.

This fourth beta of iOS 9.3.3 released will just be a check point, since the developer version of iOS 10 already available.

According to MacRumors, the upcoming iOS 10 will be expected this coming fall and will have many features on it, this includes new Lock Screen, improve Messaging Apps with its own App Store, a Siri SDK for the developers, a redesigned Music App, and new Home apps for HomeKit devices.

Developers are now waiting for the beta release of iOS 10, also with the other Apple operating system including the macOS 10.12 Sierra, WatchOS 3 and the tvOS 10.

A couple of weeks ago this four operating system were the showcase by WWDC 2016. The iOS beta updates will be available at Apple Developer Center while El Capitan can be updates via the developer portal or through the use of Mac App Store software update option.

Apple Insider tells, for the tvOS concerned, the user will need USB-C to a USB-A connector cable to physically connect a computer running iTunes and AppleTV.

Beware: New Malware Found That Bypasses Google Play security

Android smartphone owners might have some worries regarding the security of their handset. Today, another type of malware threat had just been discover where it can bypass Google Play’s security measure, where this malware will “root” the Android smartphone without the user actually doing it. This new “auto-rooting” malware was named LevelDropper.

This latest malware will secretly root the smartphone, and after rooting, it will then install many apps in the smartphone until the memory reach its max. The makers on this new malware, simply aims to have a more revenue by installing many apps on the infected smartphone.

According to Colin Streicher of Lookout’s Research and Response team, “LevelDropper, an app in the Google Play store that we determined to be malicious, is the latest example of a new and persisting trend in mobile threats: auto-rooting malware.”

Also, Streicher added that once installed, LevelDropper will secretly roots the Android smartphone or tablets. Then the attackers will remotely installs many apps in the Android device.

Also, he said that "Immediately after running LevelDropper, we noticed that the LocationServices window popped up blank. This is a significant red flag."

"Shortly after, new applications not previously installed on the phone began to appear. The app never prompted the user to install the additional apps, which generally indicates that the application must have root access."

According to Lookout Research Team, no exact version of Android had been affected by this new malware, but they tested it on an Android 4.4 KitKat. Just about 30 minutes, LevelDropper was completely on the Android device, and they found out that 14 new applications had been installed during the attack without any user interaction.

Lookout and Google are working together now in eliminating this malware on their Operating System as soon as possible.

Since the release of iOS 10 developer version, many user have secretly downloaded this latest iOS version and upgraded the current iOS 9.3.2. Apple’s iOS 10 have some new impressive features that users will love to use to it and also some improvements on the existing feature of the iOS 9.
