SoGlos.com had the pleasure of being match sponsor at the Gloucester Rugby vs Toulouse Heineken Cup game this Friday 20 January 2012, hosting a client dinner in the prestigious 1873 Club.

SoGlos.com editor Michelle Byrne and account director Melanie Jones welcomed representatives from the Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham Town Hall, Hotel du Vin Cheltenham and Marketing Gloucester, with the evening going with a real bang thanks to an amazing atmosphere and memorable 34-24 win for the Cherry and Whites.

The new milestone includes seasonal content taking in the tail end of the annual fireworks and bonfire celebrations, our unparalleled Christmas-focused content, as well as our usual selection of entertainment event previews, news, features and reviews.

SoGlos.com’s co-founders Michelle Byrne and James Fryer are delighted to announce the arrival of their beautiful baby boy Elijah James Fyrne, born at 5.37am on Saturday 17 September 2011 weighing just under eight pounds.

Mum and Eli are doing great, and while we’ve already enjoyed a family outing to our favourite county location Pittville Park, we’re looking forward to showing him more of Gloucestershire in all its glory over the coming months and years...

My, how time flies when you’re having fun! Yes, believe it or not, it was a whopping four years ago this week that independent online magazine SoGlos.com officially launched.

Back in 2007, SoGlos.com quickly garnered attention as one of the UK’s first and only regional online magazines run by journalists. That commitment to the highest quality editorial standards has served the online magazine well – now, long recognised as Gloucestershire’s No.1, and most influential, guide to arts, entertainment and leisure.

The last 12 months have seen SoGlos.com’s popularity continue to climb, with monthly reader numbers at more than 76,000 and email newsletter subscribers just tipping 17,500.

We’ve also unveiled a series of improvements, from embracing the most popular social media sharing tools to implementing Google Custom Site Search functionality.

And who can forget SoGlos.com’s YouTube channel topping 5 million views... cementing its position as one of the most popular channels across the whole south west region. Plus SoGlos.com being highly commended in the prestigious 2011 South West Media Awards.
