Good Morning!

Losing focus on being productive for God happens quietly. It’s not always disobedience, sometimes it’s simply the slow drift of pouring into everyone else while neglecting what God has placed inside of us. I know that drift well. I have not always used my God‑given gifts with intention. I have delayed, postponed, and procrastinated giving birth to what God entrusted to my hands.

Recently, I met with two friends who are true “producers” in the Kingdom. They give freely. They encourage consistently. They sacrifice willingly so others can rise. In both conversations, God used them to speak directly to my spirit. Their words were a holy reminder: It is time for me to produce again.

In Exodus 4, God asked Moses a simple question: “What is that in your hand?”Moses didn’t think he had much, just a staff. But in God’s hands, that ordinary staff became a tool for miracles.

The same is true for you. Romans 12:6 declares that God has graciously given each of us spiritual gifts. These gifts are not decorations or titles; they are instruments meant to strengthen, inspire, and build the body of Christ.

So let me ask you: What gift are you neglecting?

What assignment have you delayed?
What vision have you allowed distractions to bury?

It’s time to hit the reset button. Cease delaying and begin creating. Nurture your spiritual gifts so God can use you to bless others. Refocus your energy. Recommit your hands. Reignite your purpose.

God has already placed something powerful within you.

Now go produce!

Time for You to Come Alive!

Good Morning!

Howard Thurman once said, “Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”

So I pose this question to you today: What makes you come alive?

Is it helping others, teaching, healing, giving, writing, painting, singing, building, comforting, or creating?

Whatever God has placed in your hands and stirred in your spirit, do it. Do it with joy. Do it with intention. Do it in a way that glorifies God.

Coming alive is not about chasing applause or collecting achievements. It’s about allowing the breath of God within you to move freely through your gifts. When you operate from that place, your work becomes more than activity, it becomes ministry. It becomes light. It becomes nourishment for someone who desperately needs what God placed inside you.

Thurman reminds us that the world is starving for people who are fully awake, fully engaged, fully alive. The energy, tenacity, and passion you pour into your calling will be evident in how you bless others. And ultimately, your obedience will bring someone joy, hope, or healing.

We see this truth woven throughout Scripture. In Exodus 31:1-11, When God filled Bezalel with creativity and skill to build the Tabernacle, he didn’t use his gifts for fame or recognition. His craftsmanship created a sacred space where people could encounter God. And in Acts 9:36-42, the word details when Dorcas (Tabitha) used her hands to sew garments for widows, her compassion was so impactful that the community cried out when she died, and God restored her. Their lives show us that when we come alive in our God given purpose, others are lifted, strengthened, and blessed.

Your gift matters. Your fire matters. Your aliveness matters.

Let today be the day you stop shrinking back and start showing up. The world needs the version of you that God designed, awake, alive, and willing.

When Emotions Erupt: Choosing the Spirit Over the Storm

Good Morning!
No one welcomes mistreatment, betrayal, or the sting of harsh words. Yet life brings moments when emotions erupt and relationships fracture. Our world is full of brokenness: hatred, jealousy, anger, selfishness, and division.

Even within the church, many profess to live by the Spirit, but our reactions often reveal something different. Too often, we operate from the raw energy of the flesh instead of the renewing power of the Holy Spirit.

Paul warned against a life driven by impulse and indulgence. Strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, and disputes are listed in Galatians 5:19–26 as evidence of the flesh at work. When turmoil rises and meltdowns occur, we must pause and ask: What is guiding my response right now? my emotions or God’s Spirit?

Jesus gave us a radical command: Love your enemies. Yet our flesh urges us to defend ourselves, prove our point, or retaliate. The Spirit calls us to something higher, peace, patience, humility, and self‑control. Romans 12 reminds us that peace is not passive; it is a deliberate choice to respond with grace even when the situation feels unfair.

Walking in the Spirit requires practice. It means slowing down long enough to let God steady your heart before you speak or act. It means refusing to be provoked, refusing to escalate, and refusing to let anger write the script.

Have faith. Pray continually. Trust that God will guide you through every turbulent moment. When you choose the Spirit over the storm, peace becomes possible even with those who challenge you most.

Stand Firm in What You Believe

Trouble is not an interruption to life, it’s part of life’s journey.

Job reminds us that challenges are as certain as sparks rising from a fire. But certainty of trouble does not mean certainty of defeat. What makes the difference is what we believe and how we allow that belief to shape our response.

King Jehoshaphat understood this well. When he received news of a massive army coming against Judah

(2 Chronicles 20), fear tried to rise, but faith rose higher. Before forming a battle plan, before gathering weapons, before strategizing, the king gathered the people and pointed them to God. His confidence wasn’t rooted in military strength but in divine presence. He reminded them of a truth he had already spoken in 2 Chronicles 19:11: “The Lord shall be with those who do right.”

Jehoshaphat believed God and that belief showed up in his behavior. He prayed. He sought God. He encouraged others. He stood still and trusted the Lord to fight for them. And God did.

Many of us believe God in theory, but struggle to activate that belief in daily life. We say God is faithful, yet panic at the first sign of trouble. We declare God is our provider, yet worry ourselves into exhaustion. But belief is more than words, it is a posture, a response, a way of living.

Trouble may be certain, but so is God’s presence. And Scripture assures us that trouble doesn’t last always: “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning” (Psalm 30:5).

Every hardship has an end date, and every dark night is already scheduled to break into God’s light.

Be brave. Stand firm.
Morning is coming.
Believe.

When Smartphones Compete with God

Good Morning!

Smartphones were already taking over our lives twelve years ago, but today they dominate nearly every moment.

Since COVID, many believers now stream church on phones and tablets, scroll through devotionals, and depend on apps to guide their spiritual routines. Technology is convenient, but it can quietly replace the discipline of seeking God for ourselves.

Prayer apps and reminders may help, but they cannot create a praying heart. Prayer is not a notification, it is communication with God. It doesn’t require perfect posture or special wording. Scripture shows people praying standing, kneeling, silently, or aloud. God listens to the heart, not the device.

Life is busy. Work, family, school, and endless to‑dos make it easy to forget to pray. But God’s blessings should be our reminders.

Did you wake up? Pray.

you have food, shelter, & safety? Pray.

Did God carry you through another day? Pray.

His goodness is the greatest alert you will ever receive.

Prayer is both routine and spontaneous. Begin each morning with thanksgiving. Talk to God while driving, working, or walking. Celebrate good news with praise. Seek Him before decisions. Whisper gratitude just because you love Him.

Paul urged the church to pray continually, not as a scheduled task, but as a lifestyle of awareness, dependence, and gratitude. In a world filled with distractions, seductive images, and constant noise, prayer keeps us anchored.

Use your phone for calls, texts, and entertainment, but don’t let it replace your time with God. Start each day with prayer, end each day with thanksgiving, and let your heart stay connected to Him long after the screen goes dark.

The Three Thieves of Destiny

For most of my life, three silent thieves have tried to rob me of purpose:

Procrastination, Doubt, and Fear.

They move together like close siblings, if one shows up, the others are never far behind. And if left unchecked, they will delay, distract, and derail the very greatness God placed inside you.

Procrastination whispers, “You can do it later.” But later often becomes never. As time passes, hesitation turns into uncertainty, and uncertainty becomes doubt, that nagging voice that questions your ability, your calling, and even God’s timing. Once doubt settles in, fear rises like a storm, clouding your vision and convincing you that failure is inevitable.

Peter knew this battle well. When Jesus called him to step out of the boat, Peter walked on water, until he took his eyes off Jesus. The moment he shifted his focus from Christ to the chaos around him, doubt took hold, and fear pulled him under. Yet Jesus didn’t let him drown. He reached out, lifted him, and reminded him that doubt was the only thing standing between him and the miraculous.

The same is true for you.

Negative thoughts can be conquered through prayer, faith, and intentional obedience. God has already placed greatness within you, but you must confront these three thieves head‑on. Pray for strength. Push past hesitation. Silence doubt with Scripture. Walk forward even when fear tries to freeze you.

Believe in yourself and in God’s plan for your life. When you do, nothing—not procrastination, not doubt, not fear—can stop you from fulfilling His purpose.

Don’t Assume, Don’t Judge

Assumptions are easy. Judgment comes naturally. And truthfully, Christians and non‑Christians fall into the same trap, we look at a person’s situation and decide what their story must be. We judge before we listen. We assume before we ask. But Jesus shows us a better way.

When the woman caught in adultery was thrown before Him, the crowd had already judged her. Stones were in their hands. Opinions were formed. Condemnation was ready. Yet Jesus didn’t join their assumptions. He didn’t rush to judge. Instead, He knelt, wrote in the dirt, and said, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone.” One by one, the stones dropped. The crowd walked away. Jesus saw the woman not the rumor, not the accusation, not the label. He saw her need for mercy, restoration, and truth.

We still struggle with the same issue today. We assume the poor are lazy. We assume the rich are selfish. We assume someone’s apology isn’t sincere. We assume God won’t forgive a person because we wouldn’t. But assumptions are dangerous they blind us to what God is actually doing.

A homeless man once approached me, and without thinking, I assumed he wanted food. But when I asked what he needed, he said, “I’d rather have some soap to wash me and my clothes.” His answer humbled me. What I thought he wanted wasn’t what he needed. So I took him to the store and bought what would truly help him.

Judgment belongs to God alone. Our job is to love, listen, and respond with compassion. When we stop assuming and start seeing people through the eyes of Christ, we become vessels of grace instead of critics of circumstance

Faith Over Logic

Good Morning!
There comes a point in every believer’s journey when logic reaches its limit. You’ve planned, calculated, reasoned, and exhausted every option. And still nothing moves.

That’s usually the moment God invites you into a deeper classroom of faith. When you have done all you can, why not shift from human reasoning to something time‑tested and God‑approved: trusting His Word.

Scripture reminds us that faith is “the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Faith doesn’t wait for proof. Faith doesn’t demand clarity. Faith simply believes God is who He says He is. And without it, we cannot please Him. When we draw near to God, we must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him.

Consider Peter in Luke 5. After a long night of catching nothing, logic said, “Go home.” Experience said, “Try again tomorrow.” But Jesus said, “Launch out into the deep.” It made no sense. It was the wrong time, wrong conditions, wrong strategy. Yet Peter obeyed. And the miracle didn’t happen before he acted; it happened because he acted. Nets broke. Boats overflowed. Faith overruled logic.

Or think of an example today: people who tithe even when the numbers don’t add up. Bills due, income tight yet they trust God’s promise over their spreadsheet. And somehow, God stretches what shouldn’t stretch and provides in ways logic can’t explain.

Today, take the blind leap of faith. Trust God’s holy Word over what you see, feel, or understand. Faith may not always make sense, but it always makes a way.

The Blessing of Being Early

Being on time is important in every area of life, but spiritually, it carries an even deeper weight.

When I started college, they drilled one phrase into us: “To be on time is to be late.” Walking into class, work, or any commitment at the exact start time meant you were already behind. True timeliness meant arriving at least ten minutes early—settled, focused, and ready.

If that standard matters for school, work, and special events, how much more should it matter for the house of God?

Many of us slip into church after service has begun, some as late as the sermon. What we often fail to realize is that by arriving late, we miss the sacred preparation that softens our hearts to receive the Word.

Coming to church early is not about impressing anyone. It is about posture. a posture of reverence, readiness, and expectation. Those quiet moments before service are opportunities to go to the altar, whisper a prayer, open your heart, and invite God to speak. The songs, the Scripture reading, the opening prayer, these are not fillers. They are spiritual groundwork. They till the soil of your heart so the Word can take root.

Consider Mary in Luke 10:38–42. While Martha was distracted, Mary positioned herself early at Jesus’ feet, ready to receive. Her posture prepared her for revelation.

We arrive early for concerts, sporting events, and celebrations, sometimes hours ahead. Yet giving God ten, fifteen, or thirty minutes feels difficult.

Today, let us reclaim the gift of time. Let us honor God not only with our presence but with our preparation.

Give God your time! He will give you His voice.

Wisdom Does Not Come with Age

We often assume that wisdom automatically arrives with age, but Scripture reminds us that true wisdom comes from God, not from the number of years we’ve lived.

Paul instructs us not to place our confidence in worldly security;such as wealth, status, or experience, but to anchor our hope in the One who “richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.” Wisdom begins when we stop relying on ourselves and start depending on God.

One of the clearest biblical examples is found in 1 Kings 3, when young King Solomon ascended the throne. He was inexperienced, untested, and aware of his limitations. Instead of pretending he had everything under control, Solomon humbled himself before God. He didn’t ask for riches, long life, or victory over enemies. He asked for wisdom; a discerning heart to lead God’s people well. And God honored that prayer because it came from humility, not pride.

Solomon teaches us that wisdom is not a reward for age; it is a gift for those who seek God sincerely. You can be young and wise if you walk with God. You can be older and still unwise if you lean only on your own understanding.

Today, let your wisdom begin with surrender. Bring your concerns, decisions, and uncertainties before God with thanksgiving. Ask Him to guide your steps, shape your thoughts, and steady your heart. Wisdom grows in the soil of humility, prayer, and trust.

May we all choose God over ego, dependence over arrogance, and wisdom over worry.

Good Morning!
To my young brothers and sisters, future kings and queens, I know it can feel like your elders don’t understand what you’re facing.

You are eager, anxious, and ready to step out and “do your thing,” even when you may not be fully prepared for what’s ahead.

Peter understood this tension well. That’s why he encouraged the youth to clothe themselves with humility and to listen to their elders. Not because elders are flawless, but because wisdom is gained through experience, not assumption.

Peter reminds us that God opposes the proud but gives favor to the humble. Pride clouds judgment.

Humility clears your vision. When you slow down long enough to listen, you gain what rushing can never provide, perspective, protection, and peace.

And to the elders, Peter gives a charge as well: do not “lord over” those entrusted to you. Lead with gentleness. Guide with patience. Be examples worth following.

We see this truth in the story of young Samuel. As a child serving under Eli, Samuel didn’t yet recognize the voice of the Lord. But he listened. He stayed teachable. He humbled himself. Because of that posture, God entrusted him with revelation that shaped a nation. His life reminds us that humility positions you to hear God clearly.

Peter’s message remains urgent today:
Be humble. Be alert. Be sober‑minded.
The enemy prowls, looking for any open door—fear, pride, impatience, anxiety. But God invites you to cast every worry on Him. He cares deeply for you.

Walk wisely today.

Stay grounded. Stay teachable. Stay watchful.

A Prayer for Money

Good Morning!
One of the most common prayers people lift up is about money. We ask God for increase, for relief, for a breakthrough. And there’s nothing wrong with wanting provision. God is the One who supplies our needs.

Scripture never says money is evil. In fact, the Bible gives us examples of wealthy, faithful people: Abraham, Job, David, Solomon, and Esther. Wealth can be a blessing when it’s held with the right heart.

But Paul warns us: “The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.” It’s not the money—it’s the desire, the greed, the craving that turns a gift into a god.

When money becomes the focus, it blinds us, traps us, and can pull us away from the faith. The question isn’t whether you have money; it’s whether money has you.

So what’s your prayer today? To be rich for comfort and self‑gratification? Or to be trusted with resources so you can bless others?

Joseph’s Generosity found in (Genesis 41–47) is a beautiful picture of what godly stewardship looks like. God elevated him from the prison to the palace and placed wealth, authority, and resources in his hands. But Joseph didn’t hoard it. He didn’t use it to boast or build his own kingdom.

When famine struck, Joseph used the provisions God gave him to save nations. He fed Egypt. He rescued his own family. He turned his blessing into someone else’s survival.

Joseph shows us that when God places resources in your hands, it’s not just for you it’s for the people He intends to reach through you.

Pray not just for money, but for purpose. Pray not just for increase, but for impact. Pray to be a channel, not a container.

Be blessed.

Rich Man vs. Poor Man

Money is a tool, a resource, and at times even a blessing, but it is never meant to be our hope.

Paul reminds us that wealth is uncertain. It shifts, it fades, it fluctuates. One moment it’s abundant, the next it’s gone. That’s why God instructs both the rich and the poor to anchor their trust in Him alone. The danger isn’t in having money; the danger is in loving it, chasing it, or depending on it more than God.

The love of money can trap anyone. The rich may cling to it for security. The poor may long for it as the answer to every problem. But both can lose sight of the One who truly provides. God is the source of every good thing. He is the One who sustains, strengthens, and supplies.

Paul gives us a clear charge: “Be rich in good works, generous, and willing to share.” When our hearts are set on God, generosity flows naturally. We give not to be seen, not to boast, not to impress, but because God has been good to us.

The Rich Young Ruler found in (Mark 10:17–22) had wealth, status, and influence, yet his heart was tied to his possessions. When Jesus invited him to follow—an invitation to eternal treasure—he walked away sorrowful. His riches weren’t the problem; his attachment to them was. He trusted his wealth more than the Savior standing in front of him.

Let us learn from his story. Hold money loosely. Hold God tightly. Choose generosity. Choose obedience. Choose trust.

Locking Jesus Out

Good Morning!
We’ve all had those surprise knocks at the door. The kind that make you freeze mid‑step, tip‑toe to the window, and quietly peek out to see who it is. Sometimes it’s a friend. Sometimes it’s a stranger. And sometimes - if we’re honest - we pretend we aren’t home.

Spiritually, we do the same thing.

You’ve prayed for change. You’ve asked God to move. You’ve cried out for direction, peace, breakthrough, or clarity. Yet frustration lingers, and you wonder, “Why won’t God answer?” But what if the problem isn’t that God is silent… but that you haven’t opened the door?

Jesus doesn’t force His way in. He knocks. He calls. He waits. He invites. But He will not break down the door of a heart that refuses to make room for Him.

Think about the disciples on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24:28–32). Jesus walked with them, talked with them, and opened the Scriptures to them, yet they still didn’t recognize Him. It wasn’t until they urged Him to stay and welcomed Him into their home that “their eyes were opened.” Revelation came after the invitation. Understanding came after the door was opened.

Today, Jesus is knocking on the door of your decisions, your habits, your fears, your plans, your pride, your pain. He is offering fellowship, guidance, and peace. But you must choose to unlock the door.

Let go. Let God in. The answer you’ve been waiting for is already standing on the other side of the knock.

When Grief Knocks at the Foor

Good Morning!

Grief has a way of showing up uninvited. It knocks at the door of our hearts when we least expect it, and even when we know time is running near, the sting still cuts deep.

Losing someone we love creates a void in space no words can truly fill. We try to comfort family and friends during their darkest moments, but until we have walked through that valley ourselves, the weight of that indescribable pain is hard to understand.

We offer condolences, prayers, and presence, yet grief follows no schedule. It does not rush, and it does not apologize. But even in its heaviness, the memories of our loved ones continue to shine.

Their laughter.

their kindness.

their impact.

these things remain etched into our hearts.

It is okay to cry.

It is okay to smile.

It is okay to laugh.

then cry again.

Grief is not a straight line; it is a journey we take one breath at a time, and remember to exhale….

Today, take a moment to thank God for the precious memories and the beautiful life of the loved ones you miss. Remember that while the ache may feel overwhelming, God meets us in that very place. His Word reminds us that in our weakness, we are made strong through Him. He does not ask us to pretend we are okay; He invites us to lean on Him when we are not.

As you navigate the waves of grief, hold tightly to this truth: God is near to the brokenhearted, and His strength will carry you when your own feels small. May His comfort surround you today, and may His peace gently steady your heart.

Thank You, Jesus - My Perfect Friend

Good Morning!

There are moments in life when loneliness settles in quietly, almost unnoticed, until we realize our hearts feel empty or unseen. But even in those moments, Jesus draws near. His presence fills the spaces no one else can reach. His love reminds us that we are never truly alone. And when doubt rises, when faith feels thin or fragile, Jesus doesn’t turn away. He strengthens us. He speaks truth to the places where fear tries to take root.

Jesus reminds us of every victory He has already carried us through. The key is that we truthfully listen to our hearts when the Holy Spirit speaks to us. His voice is gentle, steady, and always aligned with love.

Thank You, Jesus, for being that kind of friend. A perfect friend. A faithful friend. A friend who stays close when others drift away. A friend who loves without conditions, without limits, without hesitation.

Scripture shows this again and again. When Thomas doubted, Jesus invited him closer (John 20:27). When David felt alone in the wilderness, God’s presence sustained him (Psalm 63:1–8). When Paul felt abandoned, the Lord stood by him and gave him strength (2 Timothy 4:17). The same God who met them meets us today.

So say it boldly: Thank You, Jesus.
Thank You for love that finds me.
Thank You for faith that lifts me.
Thank You for friendship that never fails.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for being the friend who stays, the voice that guides, and the love that heals. Help me listen truthfully when the Holy Spirit speaks to my heart. Strengthen my faith when doubt tries to rise. Keep me anchored in Your perfect love. Amen.

Perfect Love, Not Fear

Good Morning!

Your mind can become a battlefield, thoughts rising, fears whispering, old wounds replaying themselves like they still have power. But Scripture gives us a truth strong enough to silence every anxious voice: perfect love drives out fear.

This is not human love, which can be inconsistent or conditional. This is agape love - God’s pure, selfless, unconditional love that seeks your good at all times. Agape love doesn’t waver, doesn’t withdraw, and doesn’t fail. It is steady enough to anchor your soul.

Fear shrinks you. Love strengthens you. Fear torments. Love restores. Fear imagines defeat. Love declares victory. When agape love fills your heart, fear loses its authority.

The Bible gives us powerful examples of this truth in motion:

• David faced Goliath not because he was fearless, but because he trusted God’s agape love to protect him.

• Daniel rested in the lions’ den because he knew God loved him enough to keep him.

• The woman with the issue of blood pressed through the crowd because she believed Jesus cared deeply for her.

• Peter, sinking in the waves, cried out—and Jesus immediately reached for him. Love lifted him before fear could drown him.

Fear never wins where agape love is present.

Your mental attitude matters. Your words matter. When you speak life, when you declare God’s promises instead of your fears, you align your heart with His perfect love. And His love is undefeated.

Let God’s agape love steady your thoughts, calm your emotions, and strengthen your steps today. Fear cannot stay where perfect love is welcomed.

The testing of your faith

Trials are not interruptions to our spiritual journey; they are part of the journey itself.

James reminds us that the testing of our faith is not meant to break us but to build something within us that cannot be produced any other way. Perseverance is not learned in comfort. It is forged in seasons where we must trust God beyond what we can see, feel, or understand.

Every believer encounters moments when faith is stretched thin. Circumstances shift. Prayers seem delayed. Answers feel distant. Yet it is in these very moments that God is doing His deepest work. The pressure you feel is not punishment; it is preparation. God is strengthening your spiritual muscles, teaching you to stand firm, and shaping a testimony that will one day encourage someone else who is walking through their own valley.

Perseverance is not passive. It is the decision to keep believing when doubt whispers. It is choosing prayer over panic, worship over worry, and trust over fear. When your faith is tested, heaven is not watching to see if you will fail, heaven is watching to reveal what God has already placed inside you!

And here is the promise: perseverance finishes its work. The trial will not last forever. The season will not consume you. God will complete what He started. On the other side of this testing, you will stand stronger, wiser, and more anchored in Him than ever before.

So hold on. Keep pressing. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Your faith is being refined, and your perseverance is producing something eternal. God is not just bringing you through, He is growing you through.

The Old Gospel Songs Still Hold Power

Good Morning!

Growing up, I didn’t have much appreciation for gospel music. To me, it felt outdated, too slow, too emotional, and far removed from the music I thought was “cool.” I wanted rhythms that sounded more secular and modern.

Gospel felt like something for older generations, something our parents and grandparents sang with a conviction I didn’t yet understand.

But life has a way of circling us back to what truly matters.

Over the years I’ve noticed how much music has shifted. Secular sounds dominate the airwaves, often stripped of depth, purpose, and spiritual grounding. The messages don’t always nourish the soul; sometimes they barely touch it. In that contrast, I began to hear something different, something calling me back.

Somewhere along the way, even the sound of gospel music began to change. In many places, culture infiltrated the church instead of the church standing firm on God’s Word. The push to sound relevant sometimes overshadowed the call to remain rooted. Modern expressions often traded conviction for compromise, passion for performance. But those old songs - the ones grounded in Scripture- carried something the shifting culture could never replace.

The old gospel lyrics carried weight. Their harmonies held history. Their melodies stirred something deeper than emotion; they stirred faith. They weren’t just songs; they were testimonies of God’s goodness, faithfulness, and sustaining power.

Scripture echoes this truth: “Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim His salvation day after day” (Psalm 96:1–2). And “God inhabits the praises of His people” (Psalm 22:3). Praise isn’t just sound, it’s a space where God dwells.

Today, the very songs I once dismissed are speaking again. The old saints weren’t performing, they were persevering. Their worship was survival.

God often brings us back to the places we first heard Him. When the world grows louder, the timeless gospel grows clearer.

May we honor the songs that shaped us and the God who still sings over us.

Let The Fire Burn

Good Morning!

There is a power God placed within every believer, a fire meant to rise, illuminate, and transform. Maya Angelou’s “Still I Rise” captures the spirit of resilience that echoes through Scripture. Her words mirror the life of Jesus, who endured betrayal, lies, humiliation, and death itself. Yet, like dust lifted by the wind, He rose. The crucifixion was intended to silence Him, but the resurrection proved that nothing can extinguish God’s truth.

But the story doesn’t end at the empty tomb. Today, The Monday after Resurrection Sunday now carries a quiet but profound weight. Jesus told His followers to wait, not to rush, not to scatter, not to rely on their own strength.

“Wait for the gift my Father promised.”

That gift was the Holy Spirit.

Without the Spirit, our faith becomes hollow, ritual without relationship, motion without meaning. The Holy Spirit is the fire that awakens us, the breath that revives us, the connection that binds us to Christ. He opens our eyes to see God’s truth and our ears to hear His voice (John 3:3; 1 Corinthians 2:12).

The Holy Spirit. Let the fire burn.

Jesus Has Risen!

Jesus rose very early in the morning in order for us to be liberated from sin.

The anticipation on Sunday morning was to discover the deceased body of Jesus in a borrowed tomb. Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James, arrived prepared to anoint and clothe the body of Jesus. Much to their dismay, there was no body in the tomb!

Faith often gets weak due to doubt, regardless of how much truth is spoken or heard. We tend to rationalize how things that seem impossible can actually happen.

Jesus told everyone he would rise again but to most people, death was death. There was some doubt. Disbelief.

Despite our conviction. Jesus' ardent devotees and disciples had numerous instances where they questioned Jesus’ words and supernatural good deeds, including the women who arrived first, the eleven disciples who heard the good news, and the two men on the road to Emmaus. All of them harbored belief yet doubted the possibility of it being true.

Jesus had to make a great effort to wake up early on Sunday morning. Despite not being required to do it, he still did it. It was by rising that all the claims previously made by Jesus were vindicated. These claims include him being the Son of God in the flesh, the fulfillment of God's purpose for humankind, and the Messiah the true sacrifice as the Lamb of God.

What are you facing that is causing doubt? Do you believe that Jesus died and rose on the third day? Take that belief and allow it to manifest in your spirit. Let today be the first day of releasing doubt in your life.

Become A Living Sacrifice

Good Morning!

A gentle voice called out, “Is anyone there? Do you mind if I walk with you? Can you be my eyes?”

Without hesitation, my answer was yes. As we walked step by step, this stranger - this unexpected assignment from God- reminded me how easily we take simple abilities for granted.

To talk, to walk, to see, to hear… these everyday gifts often go unnoticed until we meet someone who navigates life without them.

Yet her blindness didn’t dim her joy. Her limitations didn’t silence her courage to ask for help. Her cheerful spirit became a blessing to me. In that brief moment, God used her to soften my heart and sharpen my awareness.

God places people in our path for reasons we may never fully understand. Some encounters last only minutes, but they carry eternal weight.

The question is: when God presents the opportunity, do we become a living sacrifice, or do we retreat into comfort and pride?

Love is not theory, it is action. It is willingness. It is availability.

Today, choose to share with God’s people in need. Open your heart. Open your hands. Practice hospitality, and let God use you to shine His love into someone’s path.

He Didn’t Have To Do It

Good Morning!
Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice; one He did not desire in His humanity, yet one He embraced out of divine obedience and love. That alone is reason for us to rejoice.

In the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus faced the greatest internal battle of His earthly life. The weight of the cross, the pain ahead, the separation from the Father, it all pressed on Him so heavily that Scripture says His sweat fell like drops of blood.

Just like us, Jesus felt fear. He felt the tension of a soul in a quandary. But unlike many of us who try to fix, control, or panic our way through hard moments, Jesus chose a different posture. He knelt. He prayed. He surrendered.

“Father, if it is Your will, remove this cup from Me…” Yet He didn’t stop there. He followed with the words that changed eternity: “Not My will, but Yours be done.”

If Jesus had chosen comfort over calling, He still would have been a great teacher, a respected Rabbi, a moral leader. But His obedience, His willingness to embrace what He did not want, opened the door for our salvation. His sacrifice paid the ransom for our sins and modeled what true selflessness looks like.

Today’s lesson is twofold. First, when life places us in painful or overwhelming situations, we follow Jesus’ example by seeking God’s will through prayer. Second, we find joy in knowing that the same Christ who conquered His cup empowers us to conquer ours. Our burdens may be heavy, but through faith in Him, we overcome.

May we live with the same surrendered heart that saved us.

Your Mental Attitude Matters

Good Morning!

Your mental attitude is one of the greatest spiritual tools God has placed inside you. It can lift you, strengthen you, and push you forward, or it can drain you, discourage you, and hold you back.

I’ve learned through experience that I must be intentional about what I speak. I choose to speak positive. I choose to speak life. Not because everything is perfect, but because God responds to faith-filled words.

Your words shape your mindset, and your mindset shapes your life. When you speak defeat, you begin to feel defeated. When you speak hope, hope rises. When you speak life, strength begins to grow inside you. God designed it this way. He gave your tongue creative power.

The Bible gives us powerful examples of people who used their words and their attitude to walk into victory.

David didn’t wait until Goliath fell to speak victory. He declared it before the battle even began. He said, “The Lord… will deliver me” (1 Samuel 17:37). His mindset aligned with God’s promise.

Joshua and Caleb refused to let fear shape their confession. Ten spies spoke doubt, but they spoke faith. They said, “We are well able to overcome it” (Numbers 13:30). Their attitude didn’t deny the giants—it simply magnified God above them.

Paul, even in prison, refused to let his circumstances control his confession. He boldly declared, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). His words fueled his endurance.

Today, speak life over your mind, your home, your health, and your future. Your attitude is building something! make sure it’s building you up.

Anchored in the Whisper

Good Morning!

When storms rise inside us, they rarely announce themselves with thunder.

Doubt creeps in quietly. Worry settles into the corners of the mind. Fear paints worst‑case scenarios on the walls of the heart. Before long, the soul feels tossed, unsteady, and overwhelmed. Yet even in these moments, God speaks. His voice is not drowned out by the storm; it simply refuses to compete with it. God speaks peace, not in the earthquake, not in the wind, not in the fire, but in the gentle whisper that calls us back to Him.

Many of us spend more time staring at the waves of doubt than listening for the Word. We rehearse our troubles, replay our fears, and magnify our worries until they feel larger than God Himself. But Scripture reminds us that peace is not found in focusing on the storm; peace is found in focusing on the One who commands it.

Jesus didn’t calm the sea by shouting over it. He simply said, “Peace, be still,” and creation obeyed.

God invites us to do the same with our burdens. Lay them down. Hand them over. Stop carrying what was never meant to be yours. Doubt loses its grip when you anchor yourself in His promises. Fear weakens when you choose faith over feelings. Worry dissolves when you remember that God has already gone before you.

Today, listen for His gentle word. It may not roar, but it will steady you. It may not shake the earth, but it will settle your spirit. God still speaks peace in the storms of doubt. And when you give Him your fears, He gives you His rest.

Prayer:
Lord, quiet my heart so I can hear You. Teach me to release every fear and anchor myself in Your Word. Speak peace over every storm within me. Amen.
