Ok, so I haven’t posted anything in a while where I actually say something personal. I post things that somewhat portrayed how I was feel, I guess, when I just feel too much! . Lately I’m frustrated, worrying, praying, debating, so many different things…that I wouldn’t know where to begin.   I can’t seem to keep my passion for truth inside though.  I guess truth isn’t really what people want to hear and sure doesn’t make you popular or anything.  But after you know it, it’s impossible to turn a blind eye or talk of trivial things! The time is now.

It’s probably obvious from my posts that I am concerned about the future of our country….but it has become so much more than that now.  I’m not sitting around and waiting for the world to do what it chooses with the people I love. (I’m now a regional coordinator for campaign for liberty if anyone want to join, and considering becoming a midwife to help save babies from the unneccesary vaccinations (some ok, but eugentics is out of control) and protect kids from all the junk coming at them (I thought my years in school were brainwashing, this new system will numb you cold!)  God and TRUTH go together, we all know that.  But I think it should be taken more seriously by Christians and the church. We should seek it everywhere at anytime here on earth, we can always rest in heaven….. The more I seek the truth, the better I see/closer Iam/more I cherish God.  

The church must awaken to the cry of heaven and fight Gods causes here on earth! People are dying, millions are never born and  lies cover truth.  But we would rather focus on trivial things, than “worry over what we can’t change” (So God can’t what? now)

Now: If the names of all the babies who have been aborted since the early 1970s were placed on a monument (much like that of the Vietnam Memorial Wall), it’s been estimated that the monument could span over 35 miles. Although many protest war, very few speak out against abortion. The womb is no longer the safest place, but one of the most dangerous. What a travesty!

Congress Finally Paying Attention to Ron Paul

It was 26 years ago that Ron Paul first introduced a bill to audit the Federal Reserve, and back then it only had 18 co-sponsors. The bill eventually died in committee, and never came to the house floor. Now it is 2009 and in February, Ron Paul introduced the same type of bill and in 4 months has reached 245 co-sponsors.

Congress, and Republicans alike, have overlooked Ron Paul as a Congressman that just votes no on everything. While he does vote no on most legislation, he has been a tireless worker for freedom and liberty in the Congress.

This new bill to audit the fed is proof that he knows what he is talking about. He is one of the few in Congress that understands the monetary system in the United States, and every time he questions the Fed chair, you can see how uncomfortable he makes them.

You would think with over 245 co-sponsors, or a majority of the House, that the bill would be making its way through the Congress. But Fox News reports otherwise:

Unfortunately for Paul, the bill appears to be idling in the House Financial Services Committee, which is chaired by Barney Frank, D-Mass. The bill has been sitting there, gathering co-sponsors, since Paul introduced it in late February.

Why is Barney Frank sitting on this legislation that has huge support by the members? Is there something he doesn’t want us to know?

I suggest everyone start emailing and call Barney Frank’s office and demand a hearing on this bill, H.R. 1207. I would then demand that it be sent out of committee and put up to a full vote by the House. The American people deserve to know how their money is being spent by monetary thugs.

America, When will you wake up? When will you speak up? Or have you already just given up?

While you were lamenting over Michael Jackson for 72 hours (and counting), guess what the House did? It stayed up late and passed one of the most horrific bills to come about in, well, EVER! Do you care? Are you going to do anything? Or will you just sit back and wait for the Senate to pass it, too?

Do you know what a “Green Bank” is? It’s in the bill. Do you like the idea of having Uncle Sam come into your house and rate your energy efficiency before you can put it up for sale? And if it’s not good enough have you upgrade it’s efficiency? It’s in the bill. How about a water-saving shower head? Like that idea? It’s in the bill.

This bill could easily cost each American at least $1,000 per year in increased costs due to “global warming”, oops, excuse me, that’s not PC – it’s now “climate change.” And don’t even get started on what this bill will do to our economy. Think it’s bad now? This is a picnic compared to what it will be like.

Here are five comments NOT to say to a Birthmother who has placed a child in an open adoption.

I. “I could never place my baby for adoption.”

This one used to make me cringe each time I hard it. I felt like I had failed at motherhood and the person making the comment has succeeded. That I must have been heartless to be able to do such an act. I felt inferior, like I need to prove something to them.

I have since learned I am not inferior, and I do not have to prove my mothering abilities to anyone. I believe now that comment has more to do with the person making it, than myself. Never has a woman secure in her role as a mother said that to me. Only the doubting, struggling-to-get-by mothers who feel that they must make such a declaration.

II. “What a wonderful gift you have given to a childless couple”

Try to see this one from the Birthmother’s point of view. Now, I love my daughter’s adoptive parents, but by no means did I place my first-born child as a ‘gift’ to a childless couple. I am not that nice, not that giving. When I clutched my nine-month pregnant belly with tears in my eyes, I did not recite the phrase, “Just think how I am giving a special gift to people I do not know”.

When it comes down to the day when you hold your child for the first time, all thoughts of anyone else but your child and yourself fade away. There has to a higher reason for placement.

I gave Emily’s parents as a gift to my daughter. That was my plan. That was my intention. Now, as an added benefit, I see her parents lives enriched by Emily’s existence. Together, we celebrate the gift of knowing our daughter, Emily.

III. “You can have other children”

This speaker means well, I am sure, but this comment can strike the very heart of a Birthmother. Other children? You can never replace another child with another! To try and do so is to dishonor the child you have placed for adoption and the child you use to fill the void.

Let us remember our children. Let us celebrate them. We hold a special place in our hearts where their names will be etched forever.

No matter how many babies you carry out of the hospital with you, you never will forget the one you did not.

IV. A lady once said to me, “That sure is ‘nice’ of her parents to let you see Emily.”

My quick reply was, “That sure was nice of me to give them my baby!”

Needless to say she said nothing more. I try to educate people by telling them my story, even on days I do not feel like doing so. Some, I have learned, are not able to be very teachable on the subject.

Her attitude was that I should be grateful, as a dog is grateful to get scraps from the dinner table. I will not put myself in such a position. I refuse to be the silent shadow in the corner with my eyes downcast.

Aside from the fact my daughter’s parents would never treat me in such a fashion, I am grateful to God. The open adoption I have with my daughter is like a gift from Him-a gift that I get to open each time I see her smiling face.

V. The fifth response a Birthmother does not want to hear is an awkward silence.

We want to talk about our children. We want to remember them. We know when you are avoiding it, and it hurts.

I love it when others ask me how Emily is doing and to ask to see the pictures from my recent visit. I enjoy swapping my labor and delivery tales with other mothers. By the way, I was in labor for forty-two hours with my Emily! Ouch!

It is okay to talk about the children we placed. We placed them for adoption. We did not place them out of our thoughts and hearts.

I do not wish to offend others, but to educate how a Birthmother may feel about these five comments. Since not every Birthmother is the same, some may disagree or not be affected by the above.

I hope by reading this article you will feel more confident and comfortable when speaking with a Birthmother. Please do not think we would rather not talk about our children. Silence is the first step to many on the road to shame.

I shouldn’t of turned the T.V on during lunch. I don’t know why that stuff gets to me so much. It was painful to watch. Too many details about the affair! His wife, I cant imagine….it’s so sad. Going to try to forget I ever watched that now. Four boys too! geez

I can just picture her dancing with her daddy and laughing like in this song, and it’s the little things like this I couldn’t give her, that get me through the hard times. It is all worth it because her happiness is all that matters to me.  She is way worth it, she’s worth everything. I would die for her in a second, which is something I’ve never felt before (I love my family, but I’d probably take a second to contemplate dying for them….is that horrible to say? I just know (cause I’ve had dreams a plenty) that if I could save her life by jumping into some volcano, cliff, or whatever, I’d start running towards the edge that second and jump. I don’t think that is weird,…I think my mom would do the same for me.
Anyway back to the post…I can’t help but feel joy because of how much she is loved.  I can just imagine her thinking her big brother is the coolest and following him around. I laugh when I think about them five years from now, I have a feeling she will be a tag-a-long like my sister was. I was only “too cool” for her for a few years though. I received a picture lately that is now one of my favorites cause she looks like she just thrives on his attention cause he can make her laugh at everything. ( I have no idea though, I just make up alot of scenarios in my head sometimes cause I like t think I “know” what she might be like or can make a good guess at least!”  This is weird, but sometimes I just get a feeling out of the blue about what she is doing or what she is feeling. Not very often, but for example, one day I just felt she was swinging on a swing set for the first time, maybe the first time by herself…who knows? I felt like i could see what she was seeing and could tell she was a little scared but kept on being brave. I hear the ESP phenomenon though wears off after 2 years out of the womb….lol (I have read about some crazy studies though that make me

So I think its cool cause my favorite scenario to think up are the ones with her and her mom just hanging out together. I imagine them both having the most time together of anyone, and I think her mom is the one that she runs to first for everything!  I just knew Ann was in good care after being around the family a bit.  I’m so glad they have/make time for each other.. I think most birthmoms, subconsciously when looking choosing AP’s, put themselves in their child’s shoes and decide who they would want to live with more or have as parents.I picked my fam on the first sitting, but I read over some with the other girls..I remember hearing, ” They seem kinda boring. I bet they don’t even have cable.” haha.

I’m so off topic today. I’m kinda tired. I just wanted to post this song I heard on the radio the other day, but I had a bit too much commentary that doesn’t even apply. Oh I just remembered something,..my favorite song (or one the many) growing up was a book with a musical tape too. It was called ” My Father’s Angels” I think. I will have to try and find it next.  Apparently my dad already got his gift from me this year, a barbecue grill he uses already.  But maybe he will remember the Father’s angels song if I can find that somewhere.  I think my sister and I tried to dance on my dad’s shoes as long as we could without causing him too much pain..haha.  As we got older, we just assumed his big boots could handle our weight no matter what….looking back, I can see that he really was in pain after hours of dancing,  but he wouldn’t say no to us. I feel kinda bad now, I hope we didn’t cause his back problems?

1. Do NOT publicise proxy IP’s over twitter, and especially not using the #iranelection hashtag. Security forces are monitoring this hashtag, and the moment they identify a proxy IP they will block it in Iran. If you are creating new proxies for the Iranian bloggers, DM them to @stopAhmadi or @iran09 and they will distributed them discretely to bloggers in Iran.

2. Hashtags, the only two legitimate hashtags being used by bloggers in Iran are #iranelection and #gr88, other hashtag ideas run the risk of diluting the conversation.

3. Keep you bull$hit filter up! Security forces are now setting up twitter accounts to spread disinformation by posing as Iranian protesters. Please don’t retweet impetuosly, try to confirm information with reliable sources before retweeting. The legitimate sources are not hard to find and follow.

4. Help cover the bloggers: change your twitter settings so that your location is TEHRAN and your time zone is GMT +3.30. Security forces are hunting for bloggers using location and timezone searches. If we all become ‘Iranians’ it becomes much harder to find them.

5. Don’t blow their cover! If you discover a genuine source, please don’t publicise their name or location on a website. These bloggers are in REAL danger. Spread the word discretely through your own networks but don’t signpost them to the security forces. People are dying there, for real, please keep that in mind…
