One more time Molitor pool inspires street artists.
This time it's Mambo who make a tribute to Johnny Weismuller. Very high scale tribute i should say.

The pool will be destroyed in 2012, so it's kind of a last call for whoever hasn't been there yet.

EL SEED NEW MURAL IN TUNIS...

As we can read on www.streetartnews.net, eL Seed is a young artist with Tunisian origins.

He was born in France, moved to New York in 2006, and then settled in Montreal.
He perceives Arabic Calligraphy as a tangible expression of his search for identity, his art is a mixture of street art and Arabic Calligraphy.
It is the product of a double marginality, that of an oriental art seeking a voice in the occidental world.

Earlier this week, he painted this new beautiful piece on the streets of Tunis and if you are in the area this one is located in the Medina.

Jonone is currently having a new show in Paris at Galerie Rabouan Moussion till the 23rd of january 2012.

Very different body of work from what we are used to... Personnaly i prefer the dripping graffitis than those impersonnal sculptures. Jonone is so prolific that i really dont understand why he is only shown in France. Instead of having 5 galleries/brokers showing his work in Paris, he should pay more attention of having his work exhibited abroad. OK he has a small visibility in foreign countries like China with Magda Danysz, but i beleive his talent should be internationnaly recognised.

Mike Giant just finished a few days ago a large mural with the help of his friend Apex in the streets of LA.
It is rare enough to mention it. Mike has this unique talent, talent from one of the best tatooer ever. I wish he comes down in the streets more often.

Deck'on just released the 12th and last tryptich decks of the series which started a year ago.

Mainly french street artists collaborated to make this great project happen.
Tilt, Jace, Nasty, Sun7, Speedy Grafito, Tanc, Mist, Alexone, Jef Aerosol... excelent representative line-up for this excelent idea.

As in all recent series of works dedicated to the great leader and media personality known, even Bill Gates becomes a monster, heis deprived of the filtered image proposed by the media, blotting out the side surface of its image. The message is distorted and becomes social criticism.

Oupss he did it again...

After Obama portrait in 2008 which was on cover of the Man of the Year edition of Time Magazine, this year again an illustration of Shepard Fairey was choosen by the famous magazine for his cover.

Good job Mr Fairey...
