“You have a blog breath!”
I don’t know if that is a good thing or not, but with 13 blogs and growing, that is not really an inaccurate statement.

No. Nobody said those words to me, I just have this nasty habit of talking to myself. Who else do I have here with me to talk to?

I tried talking to the PC before, but I stopped. Why? Because I felt it was starting to answer back.

Don’t worry, I’m still sane. At least I think so. I still have frequent lucid intervals, with short distances in-between even. So, I’m still good for discussions. Try me.

Anyway, in one of those sessions, the inner voice told me those words – “You have a blog breath!”

I write blogs… I read blogs… I talk blogs… I think blogs…. I breathe blogs! Maybe, I do have a blog breath!

In the morning, after doing fatherly things and sending my kids off to school, my blogging day starts. Checking for comments which needed moderation, finding out who visited and coming from where, and see if I have some income opportunities waiting for me for the day.

Then, I go on and visit blogs. Doing some chit-chat on other blogs, trying to see if there is something interesting to read… all the while, thinking of what I could write myself.

There was even a time when I did some marathon blogging. You know, that sun-up to sun-down thing. With only a meal and occasional trips to the bathroom as the break. But even then, my best output I believe was only 5 or 6 blog posts. Yes, in as much number of blogs, meaning each one with a different niche.

‘Trash’ talking
I admit, I don’t always write articles worthy of any literally recognition (yes, I believe some do). And there would be times that I’ll be posting trash, sometimes even intentional. Which could be because – I need to break a chain of writing opportunities, or just because I feel like doing some ‘trash’ talking.

The emerging influential blogger
As if blogging alone isn’t a chore, I now even need to shape up to meet expectations for this prestigious writing project.

Not.

I admit, it gotten into my system. Hey! You can’t blame me! It’s like I’ve been blogging in anonymity for eons, and suddenly, somebody is noticing me!

Me?! Of all people?!

The one with an innate talent to blend with the wallpaper, or curtains as the case may be, in any crowd or party!

How do you expect me to react? Other than to over-react?

But I found out, running around is tiring… and not healthy to the self-esteem even.

…and now, back to our regular programming
I realized, I was noticed not because I am doing the cartwheel or some mean breakdancing moves, but because of what I was doing…

by writing in my blogs… by living in my blogs…

I am the struggling blogger… and I breathe blog…

They all want to play with her always.

She such an adorable dog, although a bit frisky. Quite intelligent for an ‘askal’ if I may say so. Not because she’s our dog, but because she is really intelligent.

Unfortunately, just like most dogs, there is the problem with fleas. We even wonder where she’s getting them when there is no other dog or animal in the house, and she doesn’t go out. If I can only take flea bite picture you wouldn’t believe they were made by fleas.

I was already thinking of returning Chuchi to her previous owner, just because of the flea problem. But Angel promised to take good care of her, and to give her a bath regularly so that she won’t have as much fleas.

Well, if it makes my Angel responsible, might as well keep her. Besides, we do need a dog in the house.

Although she’s now bigger than the puppy she was in the picture, she’s still as adorable as the first day she came to us… and yes, friskier

I was about to make a post on this blog regarding the demise of the King of Pop, but with all the news and blog posts going around, what is there that is not yet said?

I’m pretty sure, everybody would only pay tributes and kinds to Michael Jackson, no matter what kind of life he has lived. He has after all, greatly contributed his talent to us and the rest of the world.

Guess again, there are really some people who just won’t say anything nice, even to a dead person.

I found this when I followed a tweet which led me to a twitpic with the title ‘This is what Perez originally wrote about Michael Jackson on Twitpic‘

Honestly, you don’t need to be a fan to have some respect.

I’m sure you’ve experienced it yourself, calling a company’s service center and be met on the other line by a voice prompt which says ‘Thank you for calling (company name), please press 1 for customer service, press 2 for billing, press 3 for sales…’ and after making a choice, you will be prompted with more choices… and so on and so forth. Sounds familiar? Too impersonal isn’t it?

Getting rid of this impersonal phone customer service is the aim of Salmat VeCommerce by providing voice biometrics solutions, which means companies will attend to customers’ calls using ‘real’ people and not just a tele-prompter. With such a customer service, more people would be enticed to call and perhaps more sales through phone might be generated even.

Salmat VeCommerce is training company personnel with ivr speech recognition solutions to identify the clients they are talking at the other end of the line. The speech recognition, would ensure clients that their information to another person who would try to simulate their voice.

Read their blogs and you’ll get to understand and appreciate better the beauty of this alternative customer phone service offered by Salmat VeCommerce.

Seriously, I enjoy watching the player who has the football run towards their goal as he avoids being tackled by the opposing team. It’s teamwork at its finest, as other team members protect their ball carrier from those who want to pin him down.

Unfortunately, football isn’t always available on free TV. Fortunately I found a way to follow all those great football games, and that is through nfl sunday ticket. The NFL channel on DirecTV from MyTVOptions.

Catch all those great games from the National Football League, simply get access to their nfl sunday ticket schedule and you will never miss a game again. Yes, you can call all the gang for great Sunday bonding of watching great football games.

For the nfl sunday ticket price, be sure to visit MyTVOptions now and watch as many as 14 games every Sunday!

Don’t bother looking for nos. 1 to 7, there aren’t any.

Obviously, by the title alone, you know what kind of post this is – a blog filler. One that you post when you don’t have anything to post.

It’s like doing something, when you don’t know what to do… just to let time pass at least.

You’ve heard of writer’s block. This one isn’t about that.

A blog filler isn’t always borne out of the writer’s inability to come up with something worth reading… I have lots of ideas popping out of my head right now, quite frankly.

But I choose not to do them now… just because I don’t want to.

I don’t know why, but it’s happening quite often lately… thought of it as a case of writer’s block, when in reality, it’s nothing but a simple case of laziness (uh-oh, there goes the image)

Lots of things have contributed to this
-	a PC who works fine one moment, and suddenly hangs for more than two minutes
-	an intermittent internet connection who was supposed to count speed in mbps instead of kbps
-	three kids who got sick alternately (again) and would always call me at any moment
-	a nagging case of sleepiness and occasional pain on the wrist area (CTS?)
-	and an ego that seems to be taking a rollercoaster ride – up one minute, and extremely low the next, because of some (under)developments which only a few blogging buddies know

The Twitter lurker
Not many people knew it, but we’re having a party at twitter… at least I used to join them.

But this laziness has caught up even on the 140-character board… no smart-alec quips and only occasional tweets of new posts and some RTs.

Unfortunately, unlike a blog post, you can’t tweet a filler tweet. That would be spamming.

The push
When things like these happen, something or someone will definitely push me back on track.

Aside from the occasional push from buddies, it was ‘something’ that pushed me back. Finally! A reward from our dear friend Google after a year of blogging, if you get what I mean.

It’s not much, but it came just in the nick of time.

What now?
Let’s see… Michael Jackson died… Transformers 2 is showing… SONA is upcoming… yes, I do have a lot of topics coming out…

Totally unrelated to all those I mentioned.

Why no. 8?
I thought you’d never ask… why not?

No, I’m not referring to that beautiful song by Debby Boone, but I bet the song could have made a good background for them. I’m referring to lamps, those beautiful pieces that light up our home and give a totally new effect.

By choosing the right design and placing them on the right location in the house, lamps and lamp shades can make our house look more warm, cozy and homey. Which could make for those perfect family bonding times at nights.

And with elegantly designed table lamps beside the our bed, we’ll be sure to have a calmer and longer sleep with a beautiful lamp and a soft light gazing upon us.

Our children could also appreciate having desk lamps on their study to help them focus on their studies and get better grades.

Indeed, ‘lighting up our life’ with different types of lamps can have many beautiful effects in our life. And if you choose to light up, check up the lamp store called Farreys at farreys.com

Yes. The picture that you see is the Sala Set that I have tweeted just a few days ago (that is if you follow me on Twitter).

While most bloggers would pose with their new laptops, cell phone and other techie gadgets, I opted to put a picture of a sala set.

This, my friends, is my FIRST tangible proof of HARD blogging labor. Nothing against gadgets and all, would love to have those too. Maybe it’s just a matter of priorities. At least now, our house looks like a home.

Not really out to brag (though I would understand if you think I am, because maybe I am), but just happy to share that I am DOING SOMETHING RIGHT. I am not trying to mislead anybody into thinking that there’s fortune here, I’d like to reiterate… it’s a fruit of HARD LABOR.

I have been blogging for more than two years now, and it’s only now that I have something to show for my work.

I am very much tempted to write a post and tell everybody how to make lots of money through blogging. Unfortunately, I can’t. I really don’t know how, because I’m still trying to find the formula myself.

All I know is that, it’s not an overnight thing and that one must really have the heart for it.

The gift of a laugh time

Last night, as I was about to sleep, I received a text message that said I have been given P300 worth cell phone load. I just need to dial 223 and enter the card number and PIN when prompted.

Since I was really sleepy, I didn’t mind it and went straight to sleep.

This morning, I read a text from my friend Jan asking me if I have received the P300 credits he sent me. Apparently, it came from him as my prize for being the third among his top commentators for June.

Imagine that! I received a prize, and all I did was tell him ‘knock-knock jokes!’ Okay, not all of them, some were ‘used in a sentence.’

Seriously, I never really thought I would land in any blogger’s top commentators list.

Thank you Jan! My two sons send their gratitude too.

The intangibles

The rewards of blogging are not always tangible, there are more intangibles actually, and they surely make blogging worthwhile.

First, I need the mention this – is the ongoing Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2009 by Janette Toral. Being consistently included in the weekly summary, makes me think, I could actually win!

At any rate, the euphoria that this recognition brings is really priceless and I am savoring every moment of it while I can.

But that recognition could be short lived. Once the contest is over and winners are announced, it’s back to being a solitary blogger.

Not if you have blogging buddies.

I am proud to say that I have been included in an elite list of blogging buddies called the Jedi Knights and Lady Warriors, and with their ready support, blogging is indeed a worthwhile experience.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m glad that the automation of 2010 election will push through, really I am… but is that all there is to it?

“Here’s your candy, you can stop crying now”

So now, we can rest easy knowing that next year’s election will be fully automated.

And we are greatly indebted to these two companies, who after fighting out in the bidding table needed to fight it out among themselves, putting us all at the edge of our seat!

What was that?!

Are we really that gullible of a race that we’ll take everything that is served to us?

No ifs, no buts - no questions even! We should just be glad.

Somebody caused trouble, and we should be thankful he changed his mind and not cause trouble anymore.

How dare them to threaten backing out after being granted the winning bid? Is that how it is played really?

And who is (are) the powerful person(s) behind that brouhaha?

What if 2 days before the election and that ’somebody’ needs to scratch his balls very badly? So bad that he needs to buy a very expensive ointment, lest he’ll pull out everything that can make automation a reality.

I’m blabbering I know, ranting again… because these things always happen…

and we have to be thankful even.

I am presenting again my Bloggers Connection, and this time, instead of featuring just a single blogger, I am giving you a group of bloggers - the Clin Chem Student Bloggers, a group of students who created their blogs to support their studies on Clinical Chemistry.

With the blessing and guidance of their professor, these 29 students created their blogs:
1. To enhance the learning-teaching process through Web-Based Instructional Materials (WBIM).
2. To synchronize learning-teaching methods with relevant, available updates in technology.
3. To encourage students to utilize current technology in their learning process.
4. To adapt current and global online methods of learning.

Most of them, if not all of them, are first-time bloggers. And I believe that by presenting them here, you can help me in encouraging these students and formally welcoming them to the blogosphere.

Not only will their blogs help them in their studies, but other students can benefit a lot from their blogs too! For one, they will have an easier time researching on topics related to clinical chemistry with these 29 blogs that feature the different areas of the subject.

Indeed, they are worthy of our support, don’t you think?

So now, I give to you the Clin Chem Student Bloggers
