Yep that's right the makers of the ever famous Swiss Army Knife - Victorinox apparently create fragrances and are fairly renowned for doing so too, the newest addition is Victorinox Swiss Army Victoria.

Swiss Army Victoria has been blended to reflect a casual sense of chicness and aims to be naturally sexy without being extravagant - basically a great care free scent.

Sadly I can not find the scent composition for Victorinox Swiss Army Victoria Eau de Toilette but I would describe it as a light sparkling floral which is not at all dissimilar from the likes of D&G Light Blue and oddly Elizabeth Arden's Sunflower fragrance too. If you enjoy either of those fragrances or light bright floral scents this is one I would recommend to try out. Truthfully I am not a fan and do find the bottle too masculine, I know packaging isn't everything but I am sure I am not alone is saying that a pretty perfume bottle never goes a miss?

I was also gifted a rather nifty gadget - no it is not a Swiss army knife (oddly I do want one) but this is in-fact a travel fragrance dispenser in which you fill with your favourite scent for on the go spritz's of freshness. Needless to say that I will be filling this up and popping it in my bag...hey presto instantly lighter handbag.

Jimmy Choo Exotic Eau de Toilette

I may have never featured the original Jimmy Choo fragrance but it is often my go to for a quiet night out - by that I mean cocktails and dinner not a brutal night out on the tiles a la Geordie Shore style. The soft floral scent is perfect for evening wear as it is subtle yet distinguished at the same time, basically a step away from my usual fruity scent choices.

If like myself you are a fan of the original scent you may want to budget for Jimmy Choo Exotic Eau de Toilette which is set to launch next month (June) and is said to take the original scent and add a fruity twist.

With notes of Blackcurrant, pink grapefruit,passion flower, tiger orchid and base notes of patchouli and raspberry it sounds like the perfect evening scent for summer.

I imagine come it's launch in a matter of weeks the beauty world will be ablaze with reviews and praise for this fragrance much like the original and I have to admit that I am excited to try out Jimmy Choo Exotic Eau de Toilette for myself.

Cover FX Bronzer in Sunkissed Review

Pale ladies and gents everywhere rejoice as Cover FX have solved all your bronzer woes with their new bronzer range and notably the shade Sunkissed. Gone are the days when pale skin tones had to suffer many an orange or dirty looking bronzer...about time to. I may not be pale but I have a good number of friends that are and it seems that up until now the choices have been few and far between.

In my opinion the Cover FX bronzers remind me of MAC's bronzing line both in terms of packaging and formula but more on that later. Cover FX Bronzer in Sunkissed comes in a sizable round compact that is slim, light and a great size for carrying around in your hand bag on a daily basis. Inside features a great sized and quality mirror that is wonderful for on the go make-up application of any type. I love when company's keep packaging simple and light in terms of weight for that matter and despite not being bulky it is robust and can take a knock or ten without the bronzer inside shattering.

Like I've said from the opening sentence Cover FX Bronzer in Sunkissed has definitely been formulated for those with lighter skin tones to add a little warmth to the skin without looking murky or orange which no-one in the right state of mind ever seeks out to achieve...I hope. Cover FX Bronzer in Sunkissed is a light golden toned brown that isn't worlds apart from Nars Laguna but a smidgen lighter.

As Cover FX Bronzer in Sunkissed is matte you can use it to warm up the skin, as a blush or to contour which I recommend due to the slight grey-ish undertone which doesn't fully show up in my images. To the touch Cover FX Bronzer in Sunkissed is slightly dry and does have a tendency to produce a little product fall out, however on the skin it feels light and almost velvet like. I had no problems when it came to blending but will state that for medium to deep skin tones this shade will pull a little ashen when used as a bronzer however as it is matte I have been able to use it as an all over pressed powder. In terms of wear as a typical bronzer or when used as a contour I image this would stay in place all day, on my oily skin when used all over I noticed signs of oiliness crept in around the 6 hour mark.

Eyeko Brow Gel Review

Brows are big news and have been for quite some time now and although I have far from perfect brows (I'm currently growing mine out so I can have fuller brows) I do enjoy keeping them groomed and today i have a quick and easy fix!

Eyeko Brow Gel is not only perfect for setting your brows once you have filled them in but great for those who don't need to fill their brows but want a little definition As Eyeko Brow Gel is tinted you gain a little tint as well as being able to brush, groom and set your brows in one quick easy step.

Eyeko Brow Gel features a small spoolie (mascara like wand) which is perfectly sized to easily style and shape the brow hairs without getting the brow gel everywhere, however I do recommend wiping the brow wand before use to avoid dispensing too much product on to the brow hairs. The gel itself is light, non sticky and doesn't dry hard which is a pet hate of mine and why I don't use clear mascara to set my brows and most importantly stays in place all day. My only niggle with this gel is that I think Eyeko are over shooting with their one shade suits all mantra which in this case happens to be a deep brown with a golden sheen. If you are a brunette or enjoy deep brows then this shade is for you but if you have very light brows the deep brown gel may look too harsh. If you are a brunette or like I said enjoy a deep brow look this is a wonderful product to add to your brow routine.

Maybelline Color Show Polka Dot Rain Forest Canopy Nail Polish Review

As much as I loved the blue version of Maybelline's Color Show Polka Dot polish - Shooting Stars - review link the green version Rain Forest Canopy has failed to impress me. Don't get me wrong the formula is faultless particularly when layered over a similar toned nail colour - it applies well and dries quickly not to mention it is wonderful for hiding chips. However having said that the colour of Rain Forest Canopy is a little blah and not at all what I had hoped for.

Maybelline's Color Show Polka Dot Rain Forest Canopy is a deep turquoise base in which various sizes of matte "glitter" chunks are suspended within. In the case of Rain Forest Canopy the "glitter" is white and black which does give a nice enough effect but I do find the base colour a little too deep for my personal taste. As with all of the Maybelline's Color Show Polka Dot range Rain Forest Canopy is sheer so you have the option of wearing it alone or layering it over another polish - I choose the latter and layered it over Essie Turquoise and Caicos.

I may not be a fan of textured nail polishes or any of the new fancy nail art inspired options that seem to be two a penny but I do have to give kudos to Maybelline for creating a quartet of shades that do add a funky finish to the nails. For £2.99 the Maybelline Color Show Polka Dot polishes are a quick and easy way to update your nails but I warn you now they are a nightmare to remove.

Despite it being mid May the state of Glasgow's weather has been pretty hit and miss, well more miss than anything with plenty of rain so I have been seeking out beautifully scented products to help make the dismal weather that little more bearable. If you enjoy light green floral scents then I highly suggest trying out the newest addition to Crabtree & Evelyn's line up - Somerset Meadow.

Crabtree & Evelyn Somerset Meadow is the perfect spring scent which is uplifting, fresh and young. A blend of wildflowers, ivy and waterlily mesh together to create this green based floral fusion without a powdery floral note in sight! To me Crabtree & Evelyn Somerset Meadow reminds me of freshly cut grass - familiar fresh and oddly comforting.

The Crabtree & Evelyn Somerset Meadow scent is available in several products but as I have my favourite fragrances I decided to go with the shower gel for a quick, refreshing pick me up each morning. I have been traipsing this shower gel around with me in my gym bag as I find the scent oddly calming yet reviving after a work out. I have also been testing out the co-ordinating hand cream which is a little more than a typical hand cream and has been dubbed as an ultra moisturising hand therapy and for once I agree with the ultra fancy title. This hand cream is luxuriously thick yet quickly absorbed into the hands thanks to the blend of Shea Butter and Macadamia nut oil. If like myself your hand cream must instantly nourish the hands, smell delightful and be quickly absorbed look no further.

Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadow in Ebloui Review

As I have shared one disappointing product from Chanel I felt it would be only fair to even things out with a product I literally can not get enough of. Yes I am of course talking about another addition to my Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadow stash...I say stash I now own three and plan on calling it quits there unless they launch a few new shades. The latest shade to join my line up is Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadow in Ebloui and my oh my is it breathtakingly gorgeous!

All of the beautiful Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadow's come presented within a small glass screw top jar which is of course is engraved with the signature and classic linking "C" logo that we all know to be the trademark of Coco Chanel. The packaging is as chic and classic as you'd expect from Chanel and despite being glass it doesn't seem to be the type of jar that will shatter should you drop it - I of course could be wrong but so far no breakages with any of my three shades and I am a grade A klutz! Each Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadow comes with its own small angled brush which does seem to be of good quality but isn't something I'd personally use with this formula, instead I think i'll keep mine for lip products and stick to using either my fingertips or a fluffy brush for applying the Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadow formula.

Admittedly Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadow in Ebloui was the last shade I thought I'd ever purchase as I am a neutral or classic smoky eye girl and by that I mean if the eyeshadow isn't a light golden shade or a deep black or grey I don't tend to be interested. However the complexity of Chanel Ebloui has mesmerized me for quite some time now. I would best describe Ebloui as a deep red based Burgundy that has brown undertones and not at all dissimilar to MAC Cranberry. If you have light eyes of any colouring - blue, grey green or brown and want them to pop team Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadow in Ebloui with lashings of black mascara and liner, it never fails!

Much like the shade is difficult to pin point so is the formula, to the touch they have a certain foam like bounce but on the skin they feel light, cooling and gel like yet thick creamy and almost mousse like too.

I have never experienced anything like it and again suggest you try out the product yourself to fully understand what I mean as it is a fairly unique texture. The pigmentation of Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadow in Ebloui is faultless, one light application provides a beautiful and even wash of colour that quickly settles to a powder like finish. A word of warning is that the Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadows do dry fairly quickly so you will have to be speedy should you want to blend out or combine with other eye shades. Other than that they are easy to apply and you can do so with your fingertips should you wish. Amazingly once the Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadows set they do not budge and that is on oily skin such as myself, they don't crease, flake or buckle under excess sebum but stay in place until you decide to remove the shade. I do use a primer with Ebloui and in turn benefit from around 10 hours of wear but it's one of the few formulas i'd imagine you could skip a primer if you felt inclined to do so.

As most will know I don't always get on with Chanel products but the Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadow line is the one product I can not recommend highly enough.

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Pressed Powder Review

I have come to the very clear headed decision that should I want to save up then it only makes sense for my financial well being that I steer clear of the Chanel counter. Well after one last hurrah and what better to splurge on as parting gift than Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Pressed Powder.

Chanel packaging is always super chic and I'm willing to bet one of the few brands we openly flaunt on the train...slightly poser like yes but hey it is Chanel darling! Unlike most Chanel cosmetic items Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Pressed Powder comes presented within a beige compact no doubt as a nod to the "Les Beiges" title, despite not being monochrome it is just as sleek as ever and will no doubt take pride of place on many a dresser!

I was colour matched at the counter to shade No.30 but as my skin is fairly oily and has the habit of oxidising products so I went for a shade lighter which is No.20 and have to say I'm really happy with the colour choice.Okay it is a smidgen lighter than my skin tone but it doesn't add a white cast to my complexion and as a result doesn't turn me deeper or orange over the course of the day. A word of warning about the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Pressed Powder is that they run fairly deep and most look like bronzers rather than pressed powders and I'm not exactly pale.

Despite all the hype from blogs, magazines and friends I can't say I love Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Pressed Powder. For a start it is very perfumed which I do worry in time it may irritate my skin and despite feeling silken on my skin it does very little for me. I don't find it does all that great a job of setting my make-up nor does it keep oil at bay. Chanel claim that Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Pressed Powder (hence the title I guess) gives the skin a healthy glow which is what sold me on the spot but in the end it didn't turn out to be anything other than a finely milled powder. No glow, no nothing, just a run if the mile scented pressed powder. Gutted doesn't begin to cover how I feel. I am unsure if my oily skin is perhaps to blame or if this is perhaps another product that doesn't deserve the hype that surrounds it?

Birchbox UK May 2013 Review

Can you believe I have never reviewed a Birchbox?

No me neither considering I have covered just about every other sample box out there.

My sincerest apologies Birchbox, I promise it is nothing personal.

In-fact I feel rather guilty for not sharing a Birchbox review given that they do so much more than supply well priced beauty sample boxes, take for instance this month Birchbox are supporting Fashion Targets Breast Cancer . Birchbox will not only donate 30% of their e-shop sales for the month of May but also £5 for every time a subscriber recommends a friend (up until the 31st of May). One word incredible and such a worthy cause too!

Care to see what is inside this months box which is all based around being red carpet ready...

OPI Nail Lacquer (sample size) - Annoyingly OPI do not label their mini bottles of polish so you are left guessing what shade is inside, infuriating when you like the shade and fancy purchasing the full sized bottle. Luckily this dusky rose shade is not at all my taste but a great inclusion none the less.

Elemental Herbology Cell Plumping Facial Moisturiser (sample size) - A light but highly nourishing and hydrating moisturiser that feels wonderful on the skin. As many know I have oily skin and most moisturisers tend to be too heavy but this has just the right consistency, so far so good and I may just purchase a full size tube in the future.

B/Attitude Body Souffle (sample size) - The company that owns Buddha Bar in London bring you a product from their Parsian Spa and my oh my does it smell divine. The amazingly lighter than air texture melts into the skin and instantly hydrates the body. This could be the product that encourages me to moisturise my body more often!

Make Believe Sunbeam Bronzer and Brush (full size) - Please don't let the images mislead you my lightening is a little of whack today but rest assure that the Make Believe Bronzer is a great dupe for NARS Laguna Bronzer. A slightly ashy grey toned bronzer that is perfect for contouring and at £15 it is half the price of NARS Laguna.

Doctor Duve Anti-Ageing and Firming Eye Cream (extra sample) - I'm not the biggest fan of sachet samples as there is never enough product to fully trial the contents. In this case I am happy there is not enough product as the full size retails for £115 and that is one pricey skin care addition I can do without!

Kusmi Tea Detox Tea (extra sample) - I don't drink tea or coffee or any hot beverage for that matter so I haven't tried this out. That being said it does smell rather fresh and I'm sure those that enjoy tea will be happy to know that this tea blend helps rid the body of pent up toxins and boosts energy. I am actually tempted to give a go!

On the whole I think that the May edition of the UK Birchbox was great and particularly recommend trying out the Make Believe Sunbeam Bronzer if you use or perhaps lust after NARS Laguna as the shades are almost identical.

I don't think it is very far fetched to assume that most of us have grown a little tried of the non-stop textured and special effect nail polishes that seem to be everywhere at the moment. Before you give up all hope (I know I nearly did) I urge you all to head to your local Maybelline counter and try out the new Maybelline Color Show Polka Dot Polishes.

The new Maybelline Color Show Polka Dot Polishes come in four shades one of which is a dead ringer for L'Oreal's Confittis Top Coat but there is also a pink, green and blue option and those are the three that caught my eye the most! I needed another nail polish like Kim Kardashian needs another divorce but none the less I bought the Maybelline Color Show Polka Dot Polish in Shooting Stars.

Maybelline Color Show Polka Dot Polish in Shooting Stars is the most beautiful blue based glitter polish or confetti polish I have ever experienced. It reminds me of Deborah Lippmann's Across the Universe polish only more visually stunning if that is at all possible. Maybelline Color Show Polka Dot Polish in Shooting Stars is a deep blue jelly base in which fragments of various sizes and shapes of matte glitter is suspended. It is like Maybelline dived down to the bottom of the ocean and scooped up the bottom to bottle coupled with a mermaid tear or two just for added sheer magic. To see it is to love it, to wear it is to be so enamoured that you will find it difficult to focus on anything else all day.

Gleefully Maybelline Color Show Polka Dot Polish in Shooting Stars applies and dries wonderfully but as it is sheer I do recommend layering it over another polish to save yourself the time and effort of countless coats. I have applied it over Nails Inc Baker St and let me tell you it is a match made in heaven.

The above image is The Waitomo Glowworm Caves, which are located just outside the main Waitomo township on the North Island of New Zealand and oddly what this polish reminds me off. Totally random I know but I adored the image so much that I couldn't resist sharing.

MAC RiRi Hearts Summer Collection

Launching stateside on the 7th of June is the second installment of the RiRi Hearts collection - Rihanna and MAC have teamed up to create four mini collections over the course of a year. As it is set to drop on the 7th of June in the U.S/Canada I would imagine it should be the day after for the U.K just as it was for MAC RiRi Woo but as that is a Saturday I think that is off the cards and it may be the Monday (10th) for the U.K.

Sisley L'Orchidee Highlighter Blush Review

Spring/Summer 2013 has been the months for pretty powder make-up products and today I have Sisley's offering - Sisley L'Orchidee...I have no idea or desire to attempt to pronounce that out loud! Unlike the other beautiful embossed powder blushes I have reviewed in the last few weeks this has an added highlighting quality so you save money and time. If you do like the look of Sisley L'Orchidee Highlighter Blush you will have to move quickly as it is limited edition.

Sisley L'Orchidee is presented within a shiny chrome case which hints at the beauty held within. In a sentence it is visually stunning and sturdy, complete with a mirror. Once you open up the compact you are greeted with a large pink brown blush/bronzer with Sisley's signature Orchid symbol taking center place. The Orchid is constructed of two shades a deep coral pink and a light bronze. The blush does have a smattering of gold overlay to add to the intricate design but after one use that is all but gone. The petals that construct the orchid are fairly small and not the best shape to use as individual shades unless you choose to use the palette as eyeshadows.

As mentioned above Sisley L'Orchidee is best used when you combine all three shades together which merge to form a bright pink coral with a golden undertone and slight shimmer finish. Truthfully Sisley L'Orchidee is not all that different from MAC's Stereo Rose both in colour and finish. I honestly didn't think the final blush shade would be half as pretty or flattering when I initially looked at the pan but rest assure the coral hue brightens the skin without being overly shimmer based and is a great blush for the upcoming summer. Although Sisley L'Orchidee has a slight shimmer finish it doesn't highlight or emphasis imperfections such as enlarged pores but rather it gives a healthy lit from within glow. In all honesty I don't really deem Sisley L'Orchidee to be a highlighter (maybe on deeper skin tones?) but a radiance inducing blush that allows you to skip highlighting the cheeks should you wish. On my oily skin with a primer Sisley L'Orchidee wore for around 9 hours before it began to fade.

Every now and then you are greeted with a scent that you instantly love, for me it is the newest and limited edition Neom scent - Enchantment. Neom Enchantment is the freshest, floral fragrance I have had the pleasure to test out in a long time. Imagine a stroll through a meadow on a crisp spring day with the promise of a picnic on the field and you are half way there.

In my opinion it rings true to how I always imagined bluebells to smell should they actually have a scent. I'm sure bluebells do have a fragrance but it is far too faint to detect.

Neom Enchantment is crisp enough to burn throughout the day for a scented pick me up yet warm and comforting enough to accompany a cosy night curled up with a good book. No I haven't went cleanser crazy recently I actually had this post in drafts for over a month and being the unorganized fool that I am I forgot to push the publish button...I'm sure it has happened to us all at one point? Anyway let me introduce you to Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Miracle Cleanser.

Words can not express how luxurious the Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Miracle Cleanser, so much so that Net-a-Porter home of all things designer actually stock this cleanser! Rightly so if you ask me as the blend of natural oils which include Chamomile, Eucalyptus, Rosemary and Bergamont blend seemesly to provide a powerful but gentle cleanser that is packed with probiotic and peptide technologies to hydrate and soothe skin.

To use you simply smooth on a small amount of the cream based cleanser which does feel cooling and hydrating from the very first application, massage into the skin to allow it to get to work sifting away make-up and dirt. Then using the supplied antibacterial bamboo muslin cloth (dampen before use) you gentle wipe off the product. In my experience some cleansers take a good few uses to really glean results but from the very first use Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Miracle Cleanser does leave the skin glowing and of course squeaky clean. Truthfully I can't say I rated it when it came to removing eye make-up, I did find it to sting a little but I can't find anything on the jar or box that suggests that it is suitable for the eyes...whoops.

I will be the first to admit that at £34 a jar Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Miracle Cleanser is not cheap but you do get a sizable amount, 100ml to be precise and a little does go a long way. A few weeks ago I broke out it patches of eczema which often happens when I am stressed or run down and this was the only cleanser in my stash that didn't sting or encourage my eczema to flare up further. Expensive yes but it is really gentle and one of the few cleansers I can actually recommend for those who like myself suffer from the odd bout of eczema.

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pore & Shine Range

I have used Neutrogena on and off for years and have relied on them many a time to help stop a break out in its tracks. In fact I utterly swear by the Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Oil Free Moisturiser and use it most days before applying my make-up as it provides a great base for foundation etc. Anyway before I completely loose track of things let me introduce you to the new Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pore & Shine range.

I'm not going to talk about the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pore & Shine Daily Scrub as frankly it is not for me, it is intended for daily use and as someone who only exfoliates twice a week this isn't quite intense enough for me. That being said I did pass it on to my sister and she has been enjoying it and has stated that it leaves her skin feeling clean without being harsh. It is apparently great for those who have oily skin but are prone to the odd dry patch and has reduced the amount of excess sebum my sister struggled with to some extent.

The product that I can gush about is Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pore & Shine Daily Wash now everyone and their mother knows by now that my go to cleanser is Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel. Now that won't change anytime soon especially for for a good deep cleanse or to remove my make-up but for my morning shower I have switched to using Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pore & Shine. This light gel wash gently cleanses and refreshes my skin all the while leaving it matte and the perfect base for applying my foundation et al on top.

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pore & Shine Daily Wash has been formulated to help unclog pores, cleanse and mattify the skin. Sadly I can't say that my pores look all that clearer but I've yet to find that one wonder product that helps my godforsaken pores. However it more than lives up the skin mattifying claim without drying out the skin or leaving it feeling tight or uncomfortable. If you struggle with oil control and don't want to cake your face in powder or primer for that matter I do recommend giving Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pore & Shine Daily Wash a go. I really hope Neutrogena expand this line and create a matching moisturiser it would be highly appreciated by this oily skinned chica!

Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Protector in Nude Shimmer Review

I've spoken a good few times about Boots BB Lips but have yet to share the product that revolutionised how I looked at lip balm and sheer lip tints. I am of course referring to Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Protector the be all and end all of tinted lip balms if you ask me.

The packaging of Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Protectors is nothing new - a squeeze tube that dispenses the product via a slanted nozzle. However unlike other brands the Clarins version has a felt tip which not only feels soft and delicate on the lips but also has a massage like quality.

At the moment there is six shades to collect within the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Protector line but my staple shade has to be Nude Shimmer which of course is a nude shade.

Nude lip colours can be tricky some are too pale and others are frankly plain wrong but the beauty of the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Protector in Nude Shimmer is that the shade is a sheer yellow based nude. that will suit all and work with your natural lip shade so you will only get a colour fitting to you. There truly isn't anyone who this shade or any of the other five will not suit it really does all boil down to preference.

Basically the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Protectors are a gloss and lip balm hybrid - you get the glossy finish and sheer tint of colour as you would with a lip gloss coupled with the hydrating quality of a lip balm. As you have the slightly thicker texture of a balm I find that the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Protector wear a little longer than a gloss and much to my delight are not sticky in the slightest. I apologise that my lip swatch does this product no justice what so ever, in reality it is much more subtle and doesn't look as grim...I promise! In my opinion products like this are great for a quick slight of understated lip colour on the go. I warn you now you will buy one and end up with several shades both in your bag and on your wishlist!

Dr Renaud BB Cream Review

As always I have used my mole as a point of reference so you can see how well the product covers.

I have finally found my everyday base product that not only offers me a little coverage but actually matches my skin tone. Dr Renaud BB Cream is my go to base when I'm not going anywhere special but still want my skin to look fresh without the need of a heavy foundation or concealer for that matter.

Basically Dr Renaud BB Cream has the light liquid texture of a foundation but offers the coverage level of a BB Cream, by that I mean it won't mask the skin but it will even out the skin tone and cover any light blemishes. As Dr Renaud BB Cream is a 7-in-1 product it also adds a little hydration to the skin as well as giving the appearance of smoother and radiant skin. The product does claim to be matte but I would say it gives a natural dewy finish with a slight glow which is great for disguising dull and tired skin without the need of a highlighting product.

As with most I have found it a struggle to find a BB Cream that suits my skin tone, most are too grey and pale or frankly orange but Dr Renaud BB Cream in the shade natural is a great match for my light medium skin tone and does not oxidise throughout the day to an unsettling orange hue. While we are on the topic of wear this is a base that of you have oily skin you will need to set it with a powder product as it is not that great for keeping excess sebum at bay. Once set I tend to get a good 7-8 hours of wear but if I use a primer and a powder it is closer to the 10 hour mark.

Oh and I forgot to mention this is the best smelling BB Cream ever, it literally smells like fresh apricot yogurt...yum!

Soleil Tan de Chanel Review

I bought Soleil Tan de Chanel way back in December but didn't pluck up the courage to try it out until recently as being bronzed always feels a little out of place in the deepest depths of a Scottish winter.

Okay maybe I am being a little dramatic however if there anytime to embrace being a little paler than usual it is winter but once April rolls around I am back on that tanning band wagon and my new bronzing buddy is of course Soleil Tan de Chanel.

Packaging wise once more this is of the typical Chanel styling with sleek monochrome accents and the ever famous interlinking double "C" trademark that we know and expect from Chanel. As beautiful and luxurious as the packaging is there is no denying that it is pretty bulky and not really something I'd enjoy lugging around on a daily basis. I know it would never happen but a smaller or travel version would be a god send.

Okay let's be brutally honest in the jar Soleil Tan de Chanel looks like one of those oh so comical fake poops you can buy in a joke shop. Poop and Chanel two words I never thought I'd use in the same sentence. Anyway Soleil Tan de Chanel is of course a bronzing product and is a hue of brown - to my eye it is a milk chocolate shade with a strong yellow undertone. If you look up close when Soleil Tan de Chanel is in the pan it does have the tiniest flecks of glitter/shimmer which oddly don't translate on to the skin. I don't have a whole lot of bronzers truth be told but it does look a little similar to the new Bourjois Primer and is of similar texture so if you don't fancying splashing out the Chanel version that may well be a good dupe. I would deem Soleil Tan de Chanel suitable for light to medium skin tones but do think it is a smidgen too light for deep complexions in the typical sense.

In terms of texture I can't really put Soleil Tan de Chanel into one bracket - it blends and applies a lot like a cream product and yet it has a whipped mousse like consistency. Speaking of blending this has to be one of the most natural looking bronzers I have encountered but only once you crack how to get it to work for you, which I warn you now will take a lot of trial and error. For me I find the mousse like texture works best with a flat top kabuki brush that is medium in size but I have heard oddly that a beauty blender works for others. Soleil Tan de Chanel is a joy to wear, a little goes a long way and can be used a bronzer or to mixed with foundation to deepen your base. I don't recommend this for contouring as I find it a little too orange based for this purpose. On the skin the finish is that of a satin powder blush without the flat and sometimes ashen effect, I find that Soleil Tan de Chanel not only adds a hint of bronze to the skin but also adds a subtle glow without being shimmery. In my experience this wears for close to 8 hours on my oily skin when worn as a bronzer.

I'm not sure this is truly a beauty post but I do believe that if you eat well, you feel better about yourself and there is nothing more beautiful than someone who radiates confidence, a toe curling cringe worthy statement yes but true none the less.

Recently I made the decision to give up junk food, snacks and sugary drinks with a treat allowed one day a week...normally the day that I am so frazzled that a pizza or bar of chocolate is all that will do. Yes I have lost weight (around half a stone) and although that is a bonus feeling better about myself is what gives me that push to keep on going.

Escada Cherry in the Air Eau de Toilette Review

Escada perfumes always remind me of being a young teen and heading to Debenhams with my utter pittance of a wage and stocking up on Rockin' Rio and St Tropez self tan. Fast forward 6 years and the wage and vacation may have changed but I still utterly adore Escada perfume. The newest addition is Escada Cherry in the Air Eau de Toilette which is limited edition and available now.

Unlike most spring scents with cherry in the title this does not contain the powdery and floral notes of the cherry blossom tree but rather juicy ripe cherries. Normally most Escada fragrances smell the same or very, very similar which in my opinion in not a criticism as I rather enjoy knowing that I can blind buy an Escada scent and 9/10 I will love it. Well that is not the case with Escada Cherry in the Air Eau de Toilette although I do find the fragrance utterly delightful and easy to wear it is not all that similar to the typical Escada offering.

So what does Escada Cherry in the Air Eau de Toilette remind me off?

Well when I first spray it I can certainly detect the sweet notes of juicy black cherries combined with vanilla and maybe a hint of musk. However once it settles it transports into a clean and somewhat sexy fragrance that reminds me of Malin + Gotez Dark Rum Eau de Toilette which is a personal favourite.

I've been calling this week my "Red" week no I'm not having womanly problems nor am I having a Taylor Swift moment but merely digging all beauty products of a red hue. Red is timeless, classy and the one shade that can make you feel so much more confident in a heart beat.

I'm sure you are all about as fed up pf hearing about MAC RiRi Woo lipstick as you are about Rihanna and Chris Brown's on again off again relationship but my goodness it is a beautiful red lip shade. Yes it is eerily similar to MAC's Ruby Woo but somehow I do find it slightly easier to wear, this is most likely my subconscious attempting to justify yet another red lipstick. Sadly this shade sold out almost instantly but fear not MAC Ruby Woo is permanent and MAC RiRi Woo will be re-launched this coming June.

I for one love matching my lipstick to my nails and my current favourite red nail choice has to be Rimmel Salon Pro in Hip Hop which is one of the shades the brand collaborated with Kate Moss on. No it isn't a perfect match for RiRi Woo or Ruby Woo for that matter but it is a glorious slightly Orange based red that looks great on both the hands and feet. If you are after a great budget but brilliantly formulated staple red look no further.

Speaking of summer no make-up bag should be without at least one of the new Boots No7 BB Lips (sorry but the name still irks me...ugh gimmicky or what). I initially bought two - the coral and nude shade and had to go back for the light pink. Basically they are perfect for a quick and light hint of glossy colour on the lips all the while offering both hydration and SPF protection. At £8.50 each they are relatively cheap but make sure you do pick yours up when the Boots No& vouchers are about (i.e now) so you get them for £5.50 each!

After a good few weeks of various meds due to my silly wisdom teeth my skin is utterly rubbish and a little sallow looking so I have been relying on Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanning Lotion for the Face and Decollege a little more than usual. This light and non-oily facial tanner adds a light tanning effect to the face as well as leaving the skin tone a little more even with a glow.

Is it normal to be obsessed with make-up bags? Probably not but I am and for day to day use I have been filling up my Candy Store Cosmetic Pouch* to the brim. Kure Bazaar Nail Lacquer in Boyfriend Review

Last night I quite literally had half an hour to get ready before popping along to an impromptu house party, luckily I don't drink these days so I am as fresh as a daisy and have no tales of how I got into a fight with my reflection. Yet I do have to share this lovely green polish from Kure Bazaar which graced my nails last night and was on the receiving end of many a compliment.

Kure Bazaar Boyfriend is the perfect middle grown shade between mint and khaki green, admitedly that sounds a little bazaar (sorry I couldn't resist) but it works oh so well. Despite being an almost sludgy type hue once of the nails Kure Bazaar Boyfriend in all its cool toned glory is oh so flattering and the perfect way to rock a grown up green nail colour. I highly recommend this shade if you have olive or a golden undertone to you skin tone.

Much like the other shades of the Kure Bazaar line that I have tested out over the last few months the formula is faultless, a thick but easy to use texture that dries quickly and applies with ease thanks to the well shaped and sized brush. Despite looking slightly shimmer based in the bottle rest assure that Kure Bazaar settles to a cream finish and is fully opaque in one coat, I did apply two coats out of sheer habit. Also it may be worth noting that not only is the formula a winner but is toxin free not to mention that the formula is constructed with up to 85% of natural origins- wood pulp, wheat, cotton, potatoes and corn. Pretty cool huh?

Despite having an invite to the B.A.F.T.A's I'm not attending - being Scottish and broke really is a major pit fall in life.I jest about the Scottish part because frankly we are an amazing breed of people (i'll bare knuckle fight anyone who disagrees) but being skint is no fun. So rather than mop around the house in my four sizes too big pajamas I have decided to share some A-List worthy products kicking off with Aromatherapy Associates Roland Mouret Final Finish Body Serum.

Roland Mouret is of course an acclaimed fashion designer so if anyone knows about an extra special finishing touch to a dress or outfit for that matter it is him. As I've mentioned before myself and body lotions don't exactly go hand and hand (i'm lazy and forgetful) but the Aromatherapy Associates Roland Mouret Final Finish Body Serum I could get on board with for those special nights out.

Essentially Roland Mouret Final Finish Body Serum is a body hydrator of sorts in that it does deliver a light flurry of moisture to anywhere you apply on the body but really it is more of an illuminator - a highlighter for the body if you will. Basically it is not called the the Final Finish Serum for no reason at all, you simply apply the light and super silky serum on anywhere you wish to draw a little extra attention to - legs, décolletage and between you and me it looks super sexy on the shoulders too!

I'm sure we have all encountered products that promise to deliver a glow to the body but really just drown the skin in fragments of glitter which I guess is cool if you are a disco dancer or just enjoy being glittery. However that is not for me I like to glow - I say it all the time but J-Lo is the goddess of the glow, no-one knows a good highlighter quite like she does. I like to think Roland Mouret Final Finish Body Serum is something J-Lo herself would use, without being glitter or shimmer based the Final Finish Body Serum delivers a light from within glow to the skin and works particularly well on tanned and darker skins. If you are looking to pull out all stops then you may want this body serum on your side. The only downside is that it is rather pricey at £47 and even more upsetting it is a limited edition.
