SpiritualizedHarmonies.com Nominated For SXSW Web Award

The Syndicate Design team put together an online installation to launch Spiritualized’s new latest album, Songs In A&E. Spiritualizedharmonies.com allowed users to have an audio/visual experience with the band. The media player became the band’s microsite for the US territory and hosted an exclusive contest to help promote the band’s summer tour and social networking pages.

Spiritualizedharmonies.com was just selected as one of five finalists in the music category for this year’s SXSW Interactive Web Awards!

A panel of experts will select the category winners, as well as Best Of Show and People’s Choice. All winners will be announced during a ceremony in Austin during the SXSW Interactive Festival on March 15th.

A Night In Music

We built this site for the 10 disc Night In Music... Series. This site was built on the Drupal CMS platform in which we customized several modules to fit our needs including the display of web cams and randomized information on the home page. We also built a customized flash component to display a map of all the countries.

Straight No Chaser E-cards

We were put to the challenge to create two holiday e-cards for acapella group Straight No Chaser on Atlantic Records. Our first card gives you the effect of drinking a little too much egg nog. As the user interacts and "drinks" the eggnog, the imagery of the e-card starts to move slowly and blur as if you were getting tipsy at a holiday party. After drinking all the eggnog a new screen appears allowing you to send the card to a friend.

The other e-card allows the user to fill in their personal christmas list (complete with a Straight No Chaser album, of course!) and send it to a friend or loved one. So they can in turn see the list and enjoy the catchy Christmas Medley.

Pregnancy Magazine - Pregnancy360.com

Pregnancy360.com is the new online home of Pregnancy Magazine. The site was built on the Drupal CMS platform to allow the client to easily update all the different content types, features, polls and more. A custom module was built to deliver a "Daily Affirmation" every day which is pulled from a MYSQL database. A custom flash slideshow was also created that can be easily updated through an XML file.

A Colbert Christmas Widget

We created a customized widget to spread the word of Stephen Colbert's holiday album and special for Comedy Central. The widget integrates email to a friend, post to myspace, facebook and more social networking features.

Let It Rock!

Kevin Rudolph's hit "Let It Rock" featuring Lil' Wayne has been a mainstay on the iTunes charts this year. With ILetItRock.com, fans can upload their own photos to have their face appear on Kevin's in the video. After completing the upload fans will preview the video before receiving a link that they can send to their friends. The personalized feel of the video allows them to spread amongst friends and continues as they create their own video.

We’ve been busy working on a handful of creative media for some big fourth quarter music releases with our friends at Universal Records. Here is a couple recently launched:

Shiny Toy Guns – Widget - Universal Motown Republic Group (umusic.com)
We created a sharable widget for Shiny Toy Guns’ upcoming release, Season of Poison. The widget features a local weather module with custom artwork and two countdown clocks – one counting down to the release of the album with the other counting down to the next song preview exclusively released through the widget. A different streaming song was featured each week for 4 weeks leading up to album release. Widgetbox hosted the widget to make all share tools available for fan and online street teamers to use. Kaiser Chiefs – Flash Video Game - Universal Motown Republic Group (umusic.com)
Our Kaiser Chiefs’ hangman inspired flash game was used as the primary focus of the band’s micro site (offwiththeirheadsonline.com) for their newest release, Off With Their Heads. The game features streaming audio of the first single, “Never Miss A Beat”, a series of trivia questions chosen by the band as well as share features and links the band’s online properties. A player can unlock an exclusive MP3 after getting all of the questions correct. Play the game here.
