I am not normally a major emotional person, and this pregnancy is driving me crazy, I will cry over the stupidest things! It's just getting more real. More real that he will be gone for a year... I think the thing that scares me the most is it's not two kids this time, it's two kids and a newborn. It's not going to be as easy to throw the kids in their bathing suits and head to the pool all summer, I'm going to have a baby... maybe it will still be easy? Abi is going to have to become a little more independent or I will be crazy at the end of the year.

On a more positive side, I have an entire year to lose weight :) Losing weight will be easier with Weston gone... well, once I get past the emotional eating :) I won't have to prepare and cook full meals every night, and I can watch my eating a lot easier. The stroller/car seat combo I got is a jogging stroller, so I plan on walking a lot, and when baby and I can attempt to start running again.

It's going to be SO different this time. Last time I was surrounded by family, we had fun, time flew! We are too far away from family, and making that long of a trip with a newborn by myself stresses me out just thinking about it. The positive to being here is that I do have some good friends, and I'm surrounded by people that know what you are going through, sometimes that in itself is amazing support. But everyone but one person is moving away...

BLAH... my mind is in a negative place today. I have to keep reminding myself that God is in control. He knows what's happening and He wouldn't give me anything that I couldn't handle. And although it may be hard at times I will rock this deployment. I will be strong for my kids and we will have as much fun as possible.

Ashley

FRG Meeting

For those of you who do not know, FRG is the unit's Family Readiness Group... the sole purpose of this group is support during a deployment. During a deployment you eagerly await the FRG meeting to get information, to communicate with the other wives that are going through the same thing as you... make friends, join in activities... I was very disappointed at last nights meeting. There was no FRG... this unit has done nothing but frustrate me here in the past few months. Weston has received nothing but a major runaround about everything, promised one thing, told another, only to turn around and be told something totally different by someone else. All I have seen and heard is how majorly disorganized this unit is... The purpose of last night's meeting was to meet the First Sgt. and other chain of command and get information preparing for deployment, but what it ended up really being about, is they needed volunteers to step up and take FRG positions, it took FOREVER... no one wanted to do it... if I wasn't about to have a baby I would have stood up and volunteered myself, it was roasting in that small room crammed full of people and I was literally melting... Finally someone else got tired of being there and we got all the positions filled. Hopefully the FRG leader steps up to the plate and actually does a good job.
My overly emotional prego self (it's been REALLY bad this go around) got emotional one time and I had to fight back tears. The 1st Sgt. separated us at one time, spouses on one side of the room, soldiers on the other, and he told us spouses to take a good look at each other, because that would be our support system for the next year. He went on about a lot of other things, most of which I had tuned out because I am not one to be emotional in front of anyone, especially complete strangers... However I highly doubt any of those ladies would be a support system for myself... you can pretty much look at someone and know if you will click with them or not, there was maybe one, possibly two other spouses in that room that I could see myself actually being friends with, the rest of them... well, we will just leave it at that. Thank goodness I have amazing neighbors that I can count on!

Weston still has a few things to wrap up for me before he leaves, but has a week off coming up that he can do them... He ordered our two car tires we need, and he will be replacing them, he has to update the car so that I can still continue to go on post when he is gone (that is kind of important) and I need him to take me to have my Military I.D. renewed (it's fixin' to expire). He also is determined to buy me a pistol, which I'm excited about... I love to shoot, and the thought of having my very own gun is exciting!! During his block leave he will take me to the shooting range where I will get to practice shooting it and familiarize myself with it (plus he has to register it on post). Point of that tid bit of info... don't break into my house, I am an expert shot, I will not miss and I will shoot to kill (I have babies to protect).

:) Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend!
Until my doctor gets the results from the specialists I am still sticking with my March 20th due date... although I have a strong feeling I will have her before that! Otherwise, I'm looking at a BIG baby. She is still breech, showing no interest in turning so far. My husband FINALLY had a weekend off and was able to set up the crib, fix Abi's bunk bed, drag the baby clothes out of storage for me (alot of heavy lifting involved there) and a few other manly things that I can't do... only one more thing for him to do that I have no idea how to do, and that is to fix the shower curtain rod. Ama decided it would be fun to hang and swing from the rod and broke the metal part that attaches the rod to the wall... he has to find the right piece and fix it. This is all stuff I need done by March. Why you ask? Because my husband is deploying and I am in full on nesting mode. I need things fixed that I can't fix, and I need help preparing for this baby. He's going to miss the entire first year of this baby's life, and I want him included with as much of the preparation as possible. Okay, wait, not the entire first year... IF he is here for the birth he will get to meet her before hopping on a plane, and then he gets 2 weeks to come home at some point in that year. It will be a very different experience giving birth to our child without him here, it makes me sad to think about it, for him and for me. But, that's the military way of life... Hopefully she decides to come at a time that Weston can still be here to witness her grand entry into this world, and then, if you are friends with me on FB I will probably drive you crazy over the next year posting tons of pictures and videos so that Weston can still feel somewhat a part of our lives as he will have plenty of video and pictures to look at :) In fact... I just got an amazing idea in my head!! :) Off to do some researching and possibly some online shopping...
However my midwife sent me to have another ultrasound today to check on the size of the baby, according to today's ultrasound I am 34 weeks and 4 days, which would make my due date March 8th, instead of the 20th... She also measured about 5 lbs. 4 oz. The ultrasound tech said either my due date is wrong, or I will have a very big baby. The midwife gets the results of the ultrasound by the end of the day, and I'm anxious to know if she will be changing my due date or not! My next appt. is not until my 36 week appt, and from there I go every week, however, if the most recent ultrasound is correct I will be almost 38 weeks along then! I told Weston regardless if they change my due date or not, I want to be prepared and have everything ready just in case... Also, we were told that she is in a breech position, traverse breech... I'm terrified of a c-section, but I'm not worried about it yet, I think she still has plenty of time to move head down! Here are a few pictures of baby girl :)
When I decided to move to Georgia I had to downsize and get rid of a lot of things, so a lot of baby things went into a yard sale. I kept the many tubs of clothing that I had, and I kept the crib, but the mattress was in rough shape so out it went. This pregnancy was not planned, I was not ready, but obviously God had other things in mind. This was a really hard year for us financially, Weston made a whopping $24,000.00 last year... love that Army pay :) But God always managed to pull us through when we got in a tough spot. We had planned to use a small chunk of our tax return to buy the necessary baby things that we would need. But yesterday I just had anxiety about how we had nothing ready for this baby, and there's a possibility that Weston could deploy any time... and I keep feeling like this baby is coming early (watch I will be way overdue :), I just let the stress of it all really get to me. So I posted on facebook about how Baby Tabor is due in 8 weeks and we have nothing ready for her, and I was overwhelmed by the generosity and love that people were showing me! I had people messaging me offering to ship me things, people that I barely know offering to give me baby things that are in storage that they no longer need, people messaging me and asking me to register so that they can send me something. I was really caught off guard... for one, that was not the intentions of my post whatsoever, I was just stressed out about it and letting the world know, and two a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders because so many people offered to give us things, and an amazing friend of mine is throwing me a baby sprinkle :) it really helps us out financially knowing that we won't have to buy everything! I love helping people out when they are in need, and I can't wait to turn around and pay it forward!
Last year we decorated the house and had a fancy dinner, the girls had so much fun helping with that. This year we are doing something different, but something I want to start doing a lot more often. Their Daddy is taking them out on one on one dates... I think the relationship between a Daddy and daughter is SO important, it's one thing if your mother tells you how beautiful and special you are, but to hear it from your Daddy it takes on a whole new meaning, it's special to us girls. The plan is the first night Weston will take Amariah out on a date... she will pick out one of her dresses and we will do her hair and I can't wait to share in her excitement :) Abigail's turn will be the second night, not really sure how Abi will react, I know she will be excited though...

Here are a couple of pictures of Weston and his two princesses... Have an amazing day!!
MaCayla is our Pastor's oldest daughter, she is a remarkable person that God is doing AMAZING things through. Here is the link to listen to MaCayla talk about her Sweet 16, http://macayla.destinywoc.com/. And here also is a link from the organization that she partnered with as they told her thank you, http://vimeo.com/51264318?action=share.

I think it is absolutely amazing to see people put others first, and especially as a teenager to seek God's will instead of your own, and act on it... Sweet 16s are a big deal, and for one person to make a stand and a sacrifice and see everyone come together to join her cause is inspiring! One person made a difference in so many lives. So many times we think that one person can't make a big difference. And we can. Watch these videos and be inspired!

Gender Reveal...

I really wish we were closer to home! How fun would it be to have a gender reveal party with our family?! So many cute and fun ideas on pinterest, yet it's so hard to do with them living so far away! There are lots of cute ideas out there to reveal the gender of the baby... but we either can't afford to do them, or it's just too difficult to do long distance... plus, we find out at night, and to pull some of them off, the grandparents would have to wait until the following day, and I'm pretty sure no one wants to wait! So I'm thinking we will just stick with a phone call to the grandparents, and everyone else we will send a text with a picture or something. I'm just ready to find out the gender. It's causing some major stress in my life (which is so silly in my opinion), and I'm ready to find out and move on. There is so much pressure on this poor kid to be a boy I feel sorry for the baby! Sure I would be a little disappointed, but it's not a big deal, I would love the baby girl just the same. In the beginning of the pregnancy I didn't mind people referring to the baby as a boy, because there is nothing wrong with claiming what you want... believing God for a baby boy... but it has gotten beyond that now and has turned into something so stressful instead of a joyous thing. I almost feel sick to find out what baby is going to be, I'm sure I will be sick on Monday evening as we go. It's not supposed to be that way, it's supposed to be full of excitement and joy! Personally if it were up to me, we wouldn't tell anyone what the sex of the baby was until the day after we find out. Just so that we can celebrate what baby's gender is just us as a family, for one night. Then tell everyone the news the next day. We shall see :)
Now that I'm finally coming out of the funk from the first trimester I'm finally getting a little excited :) I'm still waiting for some energy to come my way so that I can put my house back together! The spare bedroom seems to be the hiding place for laundry and I tell myself everyday that tomorrow, no matter what, I'm doing laundry until it's done. Tomorrow always comes and goes, and I still have a mountain of laundry that needs to be folded and put away...anyone want to come do it for me???

On a different note, us Tabors are doing really well! The stress level in our house has gone down drastically since Weston has re enlisted in the Army. It was a tough decision, but I'm confident that we made the best decision for our family, and we are SO excited to be going to Georgia, we will be close to family, close to Alabama family, and closer to Indiana family.

The girls are doing great, they are growing like weeds! Especially Ama, poor thing needs some new jeans, you see butt crack in ever pair of jeans she owns :) shhhh, don't tell her I said that... Ama is fabulous... as always... she is doing incredible in school. Her teacher has nothing but amazing things to say about her. She received a Good Character/Good Citizenship award last month. Ama has always been the teacher's favorite, she strives to impress, she picks flowers some mornings before school to take her teacher, but my favorite is how she treats her classmates. Ama notices the kids don't have many friends and always asks them to play with her, she's kind to everyone and that makes me so proud of her! Abi on the other hand :) I knew with her starting school this year that it would be a different experience then what we have had with Ama. Abi has a hard time paying attention, she has a hard time sitting in one place for a long time unless it's something that she is really interested in or she's sick... Before Abi started school it was a struggle for her to sit down the whole time while the family ate dinner together. She has made progress :) she can sit down now through an entire meal! At our parent/teacher conference her teacher expressed concern about Abi being able to focus and pay attention. The class will be given 40 minutes to color a picture, and Abi never picks up a crayon, instead she gets caught up watching what everyone else is doing in class. Then her teacher mentioned something that I have questioned in the past, if I have ever had her hearing tested. She said sometimes Abi acts like she doesn't understand what she is supposed to be doing, or doesn't hear her. For the past 2 years I have questioned her hearing, but I would test her several times through the day, either by whispering her name across the room, or saying different things in different volumes and asking her to repeat me. She always passes my test, but when she's not focused you have to repeat yourself constantly with her and it's frustrating. But I think it's due to her not paying attention. She gets so caught up in what is going on around her it's like she tunes everything else out. I can imagine that would get frustrating with her teacher! So, per her teacher's request we will be seeing about having her hearing tested. Weston did bring up with her teacher about ADD, how he had it and he sees similar things that he also struggled with, and the teacher said we would work as a team together. One of the things she and Weston and I are to do with her, is when we tell her something have her repeat back what she is supposed to do. Due to Abi's struggles in the class, she is not doing the best, and we have to work really hard with her at home. The teacher did say that Abi is her big helper, when it comes to hands on projects, Abi loves to help the teacher and help her classmates. But regardless, we are still so proud of her. Abi keeps us laughing everyday!

It's definitely time to get off of the computer... and maybe :) start working on my mountain of laundry! Have a fabulous and blessed day!
I miss Blogging... I just never seem to find the time to do it anymore. We all have been doing really well :) here's a little update on the Tabor family:

Weston ~ Still doing the Army thing, although not too much longer left before he is out, hooray!! While the Army has been a huge blessing in our lives, and I am SO grateful for all the added benefits that the military has to offer, I am definitely ready to see what else God has in store for us! Weston is still ushering at our church, Destiny, and he is still involved in Joshua's Project, he absolutely loves it! This past Sunday they opened registration for Destiny Bible Institute, which Weston is thinking and praying about doing.

Amariah ~ Growing up WAY too fast!! Ama is heading into the 2nd grade this year... I still can't believe it!! Ama is playing Summer soccer, and she is loving it so far, I don't think there's a sport out there that she wouldn't be good at, she's definitely my athletic child! I received one of the greatest compliments about Ama at church this past Sunday. As I was picking her up from class one of her teachers lit up and told me how much Ama blesses her, how Ama knows how to worship God and how much she gets into it, and that Ama has such an anointing on her when she praises God! I got all teary eyed, I was so proud :)

Abigail ~ Abi is my little firecracker :) She's still clingy as ever, unless we are outside, so we are outside alot! Abi is excited about starting Pre-K this year...although not too excited about the shots she has to get. Abi also is in Summer soccer, although after the first 5 minutes it's a struggle to get her to keep playing, maybe sports aren't Abi's thing ;) Abi does love to sing and dance ALL the time, and she brings so much joy into our home... she keeps us giggling and laughing all the time!

Ashley ~ I'm doing better :) Weston and I heard very clearly from God that we were to stay here in Texas and be a part of Destiny World Outreach Center. At first, it was exciting, then my parents visited us in January, and after they left I got really homesick, and I doubted what we heard from God. I started second guessing, and returned to my own desires of moving back to Georgia to be with family after Weston got out of the Army. Three separate times God has confirmed to me in such a clear way that we are supposed to stay here...yet I still struggled with it.The excitement of knowing God's plan for us, and knowing that He has something in store for us here was disappearing, I couldn't focus on it anymore, and all I did focus on was family and friends. Yesterday at church Weston and I received our 4th confirmation that God wants us here. I couldn't help but cry, but not because I was sad, but because I felt God's love so strongly. Have you ever been at a fork in the road and prayed and prayed and begged God to lead you in the right direction? I have MANY times, but I have never heard God's voice so clearly and received so much confirmation, I feel so loved by Him. I feel for the first time in mine and Weston's marriage that we are exactly in the right place, at the right time. I have absolutely no idea what will happen next April when we are out of the Army, and starting a brand new chapter in our lives, but I do know that God is in control, He has plans for us, and I will trust Him.

I plan to keep up with my blog... so stay tuned!!
When you first walk in right by the check in desk there is a huge window so you can see the indoor water park, so immediately the girls got so excited and ran to the window to see all the fun things they could do! Our first Marriage class wasn't until 6:00pm Friday night so that gave us a few hours to head down to the park and have some fun! The girls LOVED it! And it was also fun being a Friday afternoon it wasn't crowded at all, the lodge didn't start getting crazy until late that night.
Friday night Weston and I dropped the girls off in their "classroom", basically just a big playroom with toys and a big t.v., and we headed to our classroom. I wasn't sure what to expect about the marriage retreat but it was actually alot of fun. We started off by the Husbands having to stand up and introduce themselves and then their spouse and stating how long we have been married and one reason why they love us. Alot of wives were embarrassed by what their husbands said, as they did not take it seriously and were making jokes... and there were some really sweet comments made. Is it bad that I don't remember what Weston said about me??? :) I remember one part of it, he said I was the most beautiful girl in the world... hehe...after the introductions we watched a video with Mark Gungor on his book 'Laugh Your Way To A Better Marriage'. The Chaplain is the one who taught the class, and although I had a hard time understanding him through his accent, he did a great job at teaching the class. After our class on Friday night we took the girls to story time...
After we filled out different things we had to look each other in the eyes and tell each other what we wrote. It was really eye opening and I'm glad we had the chance to do that! For lunch we went to get our girls and lunch was catered to us. After lunch we did a thing called MagiQuest! The girls got wands and all throughout the hotel there are clues and pictures and statues and different fun things that will only work with the wands. After playing MagiQuest for a while we took the girls back to the water park, which I got no pictures of...

Saturday night from 6:00-9:30 as part of the marriage retreat we got a "date night". So we dropped the girls off in the big playroom and what did we do??? We got our bathing suits back on and headed back to the water park! Abi was too little to do the big water slides, and Ama was scared to go down all of them, so Weston and I went and did all the water slides! We had a lot of fun just me and him giggling and screaming through all the slides :) yes... Weston screamed too... After our date night we picked the girls up and went back to story time... this time the girls participated in a game they were doing and answering some questions about Valentine's Day...

Army friends!! If you get the opportunity to go on a marriage retreat take advantage of it!! I have heard many wives talk about it and think it's a waste of time... it is not! As far as Fort Hood goes there are several different locations they send you, this particular one was at the Great Wolf Lodge. Almost everything is paid for! We had to pay for our gas there and back and anything extra we wanted while there... like we had a nightly trip to the ice cream shoppe at the lodge :) But as far as meals go we got vouchers to the restaurant in the lodge. It was a lot of fun, the marriage classes were awesome, they were very beneficial and not cheesy at all! We loved it!

Also I wanted to say :) Mark Gungor has a book out, Discovering Your Heart with the Flag Page. I highly encourage you to buy this book! If you don't buy the book, then take the Flag Test, it does cost a small fee, but check it out, www.flagpagetest.com Weston and I are both doing this test, we both learned a lot about the flag and can't wait to take the test!!

Happy Valentine's Day :)

* My family just came to visit us, it was really nice to have family here for awhile. I had a lot of fun playing disc golf, watching movies, playing laser tag, and just hanging out with everyone. I miss them already!! Ama and Abi miss them tons already.

* While my family was in they got to go to Weston's promotion ceremony! Which was a HUGE help, Weston chose me to pin on his new rank, so it was such a blessing to have my family there to help watch the girls and take pictures and video. Weston is no longer a Private, woo hoo!! He is now a Specialist :)

* Us Tabor's have been doing great, the girls are always busy playing with friends.. speaking of friends... I learned a couple of weeks ago that not only does Ama have a boyfriend, but also Abi does too. It was too cute watching Abi and the other 3 year old boy across the street walk and hold hands, they play so good together and he's so gentle with her... well, today Abi got her first kiss!!! The little boy gave her a kiss right on the lips, lol. Both of us Mom's had to have a talk with our kids!

* Ama is missing 2 teeth on top and 2 teeth on bottom, she's super cute!! She's doing really good in school, she is on the honor roll, she recently got the good citizenship award in her class. Her teacher does nothing but brag on her :) Her 7th birthday is coming up and she is planning a Justin Bieber party! She has a play coming up on March 2nd that she is excited about... and she has a Daddy/Daughter dance coming up around Valentine's Day that she wants her Daddy to take her to!

My house is crazy right now from the girls fighting and Abi's whining and crying... Weston and I are exhausted, I'm a night owl but I can hardly keep my eyes open! So, ending this blog, and going to bed... EARLY :) Good night!

mid~week randoms

* I'm slippin' on keeping up with my blog!! I have several things keeping me very busy... one of them has taken time to get used to... my husband... it has definitely been a time of readjusting since he has been home. In a good way though! I knew it would take time, and we are still in the process, but 18 months is a long time, and the girls don't like it when Weston disciplines them, they still look to me for the final answer in everything, which drives Weston crazy. But we are getting there. Another thing keeping me busy are..

* The girls! We feel so blessed that God gave us the perfect place for our family! We are surrounded by some great families, and our girls are constantly bouncing from one house to the other, including ours! They are a good group of kids so it has been fun!

* My photography business has been going well... actually better than I thought! When I got the camera I wasn't counting on it taking off until next year sometime, I figured I would be doing alot of advertising... but a week after I had my camera I had my first newborn session, which was a lot of fun! I've done a Welcome Home session, which is so emotional, especially when there are kids involved, so yes :) I may have shed a tear or two! And I have some sessions in the works right now which is exciting! I definitely feel that God is blessing us! If you haven't checked out my FB page yet, here it is : ) http://www.facebook.com/pages/Ashley-Michelle-Photography/284187281604477 But keep in mind, I am still learning! I haven't taken classes or anything yet, so I'm new to this : )

* Over the weekend we took the girls to see Christmas lights and Santa Clause! They LOVED it. Abi s so much fun this year, all she talks about is Santa. Ama has been questioning whether or not he is real, but so far she is leaning towards he is real.

* LOVE, love love love our church : ) I can honestly say i wouldn't mind living here forever to just attend this church... does that sound silly? I definitely believe that we are here in Texas for a reason... and I feel that DWOC has a place in that reason. I'm excited to see what happens in our time here in Texas!

* Amariah is doing good, she loves her school, and her class. She likes being here in Texas, all of her friends keep her busy, but she does miss family. She's getting so big, in just a few months she will be 7! It's hard to believe I've been a Mommy for almost 7 years! I'm so proud of Ama though. She has such a beautiful heart, and it's been alot of fun watching her interact with her friends. Although one of her friends I think she's starting to have a crush on... A little boy named Connor, and he's in the 2nd grade! He's always over here asking for Ama to come play, and Ama grins from ear to ear every time, and she will race to the door to make sure she's the first one there to say hi to him!

* Abigail is quite the little stinker... She's the youngest kid on the block, but she sure is the bossiest! She loves playing with all the little boys while the big kids are in school. She loves riding her bike, and scooter, she holds her head high when she's on her bike and you can tell she knows she's a big girl! She still has the funniest facial expressions and can make you laugh all the time! She's constantly telling stories or singing songs all day!

* Weston and I are good! We really like it here! I'm doing the photography thing, and Weston is fixin' to start school... details about that to come sometime in the near future... We feel very blessed, and I believe that God has great things in store for our family, and I'm very excited about it!!

Hope y'all have a very blessed week!!

We attended Destiny yesterday morning for the 3rd Sunday in a row and all four of us LOVE it. Last night Weston and I went to a Marriage Bible Study... turned out it was their Christmas party... I was a little iffy in the beginning because they were doing games... I'm a little shy at first, especially when I don't know anyone, and Weston volunteered us for one of the games, and then somehow we got sucked into another game! I wish I would have snapped a picture with my phone last night, but the first game we played was a relay race and I started our team off. I had to put vaseline all over my face (which felt disgusting) and run over to a table with a bowl full of cotton balls, stick my face in and run back to tag the next player to repeat what I just did. I laughed so hard... and others laughed so hard at me too : ) Our team lost... but it was so much fun! The next game we had to play was a kissing game. There were 6 teams (husband and wife were a team) and we were competing to see which husband could unwrap 5 hershey kisses and feed them to his wife, on the last hershey kiss he had to "seal the kiss" with a 10 second long kiss, the catch was the husband had to do this wearing thick winter gloves! Let me tell you, one couple in there got a little pg-13 with their kissing (I seriously had to turn my head I was getting grossed out!) Weston and I ended up coming in 2nd place, and he slightly embarrassed me when he sealed his kiss he bent me backwards to kiss me and the whole room was cheering him on... my face was probably bright red... but it was alot of fun. We met alot of young couples and the group is a very close and extremely fun group! Can't wait to go back : )
I was really scared to order something so expensive but I did. Weston and I talked about it and we needed me to be bringing in some extra income and I really wanted to try to make it work to work from home. I think with any business that you run there is always a risk involved... so we went out on a limb and I'm hoping I don't crash and burn! We will see. I received the camera the day before Thanksgiving and I'm in the process of learning it. I planned on taking the girls pictures in some new dresses, but the weather wasn't cooperating, so hopefully tomorrow!! Now all I need is my sewing/embroidery machine and I will be set : )

* We had a wonderful Thanksgiving, we both missed family, but we were thankful to be together and we invited a couple of families over to have Thanksgiving dinner with us. Weston's fried turkey was SUPER yummy!

* All weekend the girls have been on the go, one night they spent the night with their new friends, and the next night a friend spent the night with us. They have been having a lot of fun playing with their new friends!

* Ama has lost another tooth... she is now missing her two front teeth on the top, and one side tooth on the bottom, she looks so cute ; )

* My mom sent me a gift card to Kohl's and a coupon to use on Black Friday and that's the only shopping we did, but we only went two dollars over what she sent us and we got some new curtains for the living room, a rod and two curtain hooks! We were super excited. A few people told us that we would need black out curtains for our glass sliding doors, especially how our house sits, the sun would hit it just right and our living room/dining room would be very hot. So that's what we got : )

Here's a few pictures to share!
The girls always want to be outside so it has been hard trying to unpack and watch them outside too, but we are getting there : ) We still have lots to do! As far as the girls go, they love it here. We live on a cul-de-sac (had to google how to spell that), so it is perfect for them, all the kids come out and play and ride their bikes or scooters. Our house has recently became the current hotspot for the kids because of the trampoline in the backyard. And it's fun too, the adults hang out and talk while the kids play.

As far as Weston goes... so far he is liking his Unit, he's loving being home with his family, and is really liking Fort Hood.... that's all he gave me : )

Me... I'm fabulous : ) I love it here. I love living in base housing strictly for the fact that it is a Military community. I really like the girls that are on our street, I can see myself becoming good friends with several of them!

As far as churches go, we went to a church last weekend and we really enjoyed it. They were celebrating Veteran's Day and it was really emotional, being in a Military town and recognizing all the veterans brought tears to mine and Weston's eyes. The kids came in with American flags and a thank you banner and all the veterans received a flag from a child. The whole service was really touching. The church we attended this morning I found by accident when we first got here. The lady at Ama's school sent me on a wild goose chase to have a paper filled out and I was sent to an office that I really was not supposed to go to, but maybe I was sent there just for the reason I would see this big church across the street from the office... I remember telling Weston that day about the big church and telling him at some point I wanted us to try it out. We went this morning and at first when we walked in I wasn't so sure. It was packed. We had to wait in a line just to drop our kids off and when we did see where our girls would be I was blown away... After getting the girls arm bands and we taking their numbers we made our way to the sanctuary... I can't even describe how I felt... no doubt at all I felt God strongly in there, and the last time I experienced worship like that was at youth convention when I was a teenager, it was amazing. I'm pretty sure I cried through most of praise and worship. The lights were off, the praise team was amazing and everyone in frost of us was entering into worship. It was so refreshing. The pastor was awesome... Weston and I both loved him, and his wife is the worship leader... Weston and I both left there not saying we liked it, we LOVED it. Neither of us have no desire to try a different church right now, we can't wait to go back and get involved. In case you want to peek, here's their website http://destinywoc.com/index.htm

Family Turkey Project

Just wanted to share a project Ama brought home from school for homework... it was a family project, which I loved! On the other hand we are sleeping on air mattresses and have nothing but clothes and microwaveable food : ) Our neighbors let us borrow an air mattress and sheets, and sometime today she is digging through storage and letting us borrow an extra set of pots and pans! I met several of our neighbors yesterday and they seem like an awesome bunch of ladies. The girls played with their kids for a few hours and they had so much fun!

* We are not scheduled to receive our household goods until next Wednesday...

* Thursdays are family days here, so the soldiers always get off early, and tomorrow is Veteran's Day which means Weston gets a 4 day weekend! Yay! So he will go back to work next Tuesday and "supposedly" he will start his 10 day TDY. Their company prefers to not do the paperwork so Weston will report in the morning and then just come home. I'm looking forward to having help unpacking and hanging pictures (I know he loves hanging things for me ; ) )

* Skeeter loves it here, there are dogs everywhere, he met the dog next door and we put Skeeter in her fence and let them play for a while. The cats on the other hand... I think Lou is fine, he acts the same, but Oz is having a tough time. He hates change and this constant moving has taken a toll on him. Even if I go on vacation for a few days I come home to throw up everywhere. Oz started throwing up alot a couple of days ago, and then we moved again yesterday and we woke up to lots of throw up today. Not really sure if there's much I can do for him?? I'm hoping once our household goods arrive and he is around familiar surroundings he will calm down a little and stop being so stressed. I feel bad for him... I woke up to Lou this morning sleeping in Weston's toiletry bag : )

* I took a picture of the girls in their room sleeping in their house for the first time : )

* In case you missed a picture of Ama loosing her tooth, here is another one!! She is so proud of that lost tooth, she tells EVERYBODY about it. This picture was the first picture that I took after Weston pulled it out. Ama had been working on it and it was bedtime but her tooth was totally sideways in her mouth and I was scared if she went to bed it would fall out and she would choke on it, haha, so Weston pulled it out... She was scared for him to do that which is why it looks like she was crying in the picture, she cried before he pulled it, and laughed afterwards!

* I'm hoping to travel to Waco this weekend and check out the big disc golf course there...

* Being in all the stores over the past week and seeing all of the Christmas decorations out I'm getting anxious to start decorating! Normally we always wait until after Thanksgiving and we probably will this time too, only because we don't have a tree yet!

* I'm excited about this weekend because it's our Village Wide Yard Sale : ) Yay!! Army yard sales can sometime be the best when it's close to someone getting ready to move. We are hoping to find some really cheap things this weekend, like a bed and bed frame for the guest bedroom... we have an extra bathroom so we need some things for that. Plus yard sales are fun! And it will be a chance to meet some more people in our neighborhood!

Friday night we just chilled at the hotel, watched movies on the t.v. Saturday we woke up and went in search for the local disc golf course! We found one at Conder Park here in Killeen, it's a 9 hole course, 2 of the holes were "interesting", but the whole course was pretty rough for the fact that we played in 20 mph winds! Two times I almost lost my favorite disc in the pond, because the wind carried it way off course! But it was a blast to just get to play. After we played the girls played on the playground there and then we headed back on post to let them play at Bronco Park (the big play ground). I took a few pictures but I don't think they do it justice, I couldn't get the whole playground in the picture! Also on Saturday we went to the roller skating rink on post! We skated for a couple of hours and the girls loved it! We played all day Saturday and had a really fun time as a family. Sunday we went to Wal-Mart for a few things and got a few outdoor games for us to play behind the hotel, we played games and played on the playground. We were trying to make it fun for the girls because it is no fun to be stuck in a hotel room all the time with very little things to play with! Here's a few pictures from the weekend...
I didn't do a mid-week randoms post... and I have so many random things I want to share, so I thought I would do a randoms thought post today : ) Beware...

* Before we left Georgia we celebrated Christmas with our Georgia family, it was alot of fun and definitely got the girls excited about Christmas!! Here's a picture of the girls posing in front of the Christmas tree (Ama could not wait to wear this dress to show it off for her Daddy).

* Our last day in Georgia we went to Chehaw Park for a Halloween event and here's the girls posing in their costumes (we didn't go all out... for the fact of we had so much going on, and some things accidentally got packed with the movers).

* We have Texas plates on our car...front and back... and now we have 4 stickers on our car's windshield, in different places... 2 of them from the state of Texas, and 2 of them are for going through the gates to get on post (one of them being Weston's express pass to get on post). I'm getting used to them though. Speaking of going on post it's no big deal now... at first I'm not gonna lie, it made me a little nervous. I'm so used to answering my phone while driving and while on post you can't be on the phone, unless it's hands free (which mine is packed). I was nervous about my speed... and Weston drilled into my head if I get pulled over he's the one that gets in trouble for it. I think he made me nervous. And Weston and I saw this crazy girl on post yesterday trying to run her boyfriend or someone over, she had so major road rage! They were screaming at each other and everything. CrAzY...

* We took the girls to Bronco Park last night to play and the girls both met a friend that was their age. One of the girls Ama was playing with was the daughter of a Colonel, him and his wife were running all over the playground playing tag with Ama and their own daughter, I thought that was pretty neat. Then I talked to the Colonels wife for a while about the area and some of their experiences with their Army. I will have to take some pictures of Bronco Park and show them to y'all, the girls had so much fun!

* Last night we went to get all of Ama's school supplies, and she has Justin Bieber everything. She picked out her outfit that she wanted to wear to school today (I'm kind of sad they don't have a school uniform here, we are going to go back to fighting over outfits). And here is the outfit she picked out (you can tell she is nervous in this picture, because her smile is forced, and where's the famous Ama pose??).

* We took a tour of the neighborhood we will be living in yesterday, the house we got to go in was not the one we will be in, but it's very similar and we loved it! It's all tile floors which is great for us, we won't have to worry about the kids or animals staining the carpet, or Abi's allergies with the carpet. We loved how spacious everything is, and it's a 4 bdrm. that we will be moving into. The community center is having a Thanksgiving dinner for the neighborhood one week before Thanksgiving, so that will be a chance for us to get to meet some other couples around us, we are excited!

* The Colonel's daughter we met last night starts gymnastics next week, and Ama got excited she wants to join too, so we have to find where to go on post to sign Ama up for that. and maybe we can find something for Abi too??

* Abi almost got hit by a car yesterday... it was pretty scary... She normally sits behind the driver's seat but we moved her to the other side so Ama would have more leg room since I had the passenger seat all the way back with Skeeter on the floor board. We went to go eat lunch yesterday and the parking lot was super busy, I got Ama out and we started across the parking lot and Weston was getting Abi out of the car and bringing her, when all of a sudden I heard Weston scream at the top of his lungs at Abi. When I turned around the SUV had slammed on it's breaks and all I heard was Abi crying (because Weston screamed at her...understandably), thank goodness Abi did stop when he yelled at her because had she not she would have gotten ran over by the SUV's tire, she was right by the tire when she stopped. Abi cried for a while, but better to scare her then her be a pancake in the parking lot! So for the rest of the day as soon as she got out of the seat she had to hold a hand, another time later that day she jumped out of the car and just left us heading for the store. So we have to stop her doing that! And I'm moving her seat back behind the driver's side now that we aren't taking Skeeter with us.

* On a brighter note : ) the girls are adjusting really well here. They have been talking about their new friends, they love all the different playgrounds they have around here, and Ama was even teaching one little girl how to play disc golf the other day! We had one disc and Ama and the girl were pretending a little tree was the basket, it was pretty cute. We have yet to go in search for a course, but this weekend we will!!

The cats were great, and Skeeter curled up on the floor board under my legs the whole time. Skeeter slept the whole time, he occasionally would pop his head up to look out the window. Monday we crossed into Texas, and we got a little scared of the mosquitoes.... these things were HUGE and they HURT!!! They attacked you, not even kidding. When we got further into Texas and stopped for lunch we were actually scared to get out of the car. But I think we figured it out, I think the killer mosquitoes came from Louisiana and all the swampy areas... thankfully they are not here in the Hood : )

We got here to Ft. Hood about 6:00pm Monday night, we went to get our gate pass to go to the hotel and.... I had the expired insurance card in the car, instead of our current one... so we were denied and had to go look for a hotel that accepted pets off post. So first thing Tuesday morning I called our insurance and got them to email me our current insurance so we could print it off and get on post. After checking into the on post hotel we decided to go ahead and switch our license plates to Texas (it was cheaper to do that than to renew our plates with Indiana). But it was a hassle! We had to have our car inspected (which comes with a sticker on your windshield), and then when we got out Texas plates it also comes with another sticker on the windshield, and then : ) when we registered our car on the base we got yet another sticker for our windshield. 3 stickers on my windshield is driving me crazy, but we will get used to it! So that was all of our Tuesday...

Now today... I just have to brag about how awesome my God is! Our housing agent told us a few days ago that there were no houses available and that no one had even put in a notice to leave, which they are supposed to give a 30 day notice of moving. She said the odds of us getting a house anytime soon was very slim and she advised us to look off post to rent. I was very discouraged, but quickly reminded that I serve a mighty God. I constantly had to remind myself of everything I had learned from a recent Bible study I went through. Constantly telling myself to trust God, He is my provider, He will make a way... Everything off post that we could afford was not ideal for us... at all... So this morning after Weston went to start his in processing I got to work trying to figure out what we were going to do. But first I emailed our housing agent, letting her know we were here, we desperately wanted on post housing, asked her questions about schools for Ama and so on. About 30 minutes later she called me telling me that this is not normal, and miraculously a family moved out of a 3 bdrm. house yesterday and since we are next in line for a 3 bedroom it is ours!! I started crying on the phone with her as she told me about the house... I know, I felt silly, but I couldn't hold it back... If you knew the stress I was under and how I was constantly telling God I trust Him, that He will provide for us, and if you only knew the amount of love I felt from God in that moment talking with the housing agent maybe you could understand why I was crying on the phone. So I just wanted to give God all the praise, He is so faithful!

Thank you to everyone praying with us and for us! We are doing good : ) Can't wait to get moved in to our house and things settle down a bit and we get back into our schedule! Be praying for Ama as we go today to enroll her in her new school, she is excited but she's also a bit nervous! Since Weston has been home I haven't blogged! I have so much to blog about, but it will have to wait... understandably things are just a little chaotic : ) have a blessed week!!
* My Mom, and Hanah and Jesh got in last night, and just left a few minutes ago this morning... They drove down to pick up their new family member, Peaches : ) She's such a sweet kitty! So glad she found a home! And it was nice to see the family, even though it was such a short visit.

* I am still on a Disc Golf high from the tournament this past weekend... it was just so exciting : )

* I have met several people through playing Disc Golf and I'm kind of sad that I may not ever see some of them again... Hopefully next year at the tournament I have a chance to see them!

* Okay : ) enough of Disc Golf.... for now... It was really weird waking up this morning and not getting an email from Weston... or talking to him... Transportation came and packed up all of his stuff yesterday so I will not talk to him until he lands in the States... although I know Weston and he will find a way to call me for a few minutes just to "hear my voice" : )

* In exactly a week I will be waking up next to my husband, and hopefully this time, longer than just a few weeks. 18 months is a long time, and things have changed. Me and the girls have a schedule, a really nice routine that works for us. Our lifestyle before the military and our lifestyle after is a lot different. I realize it will be an adjustment for Weston (I hope he brings lots of PATIENCE with him :) ). He hasn't been with the girls for more than a few weeks, and with it just being us at home. They have grown up, there's drama, the girls are in the constant fighting and tattling stage...

* The company that is moving us came out yesterday to get an idea of everything they will need to bring, after he left it really set in that I am fixin' to move. I have mixed feelings about it. I want to be with my husband and go where he goes... but I am going to miss Georgia A LOT! I love it here. Making the decision to move to here was the best decision for me and the girls. For everything personally that I have gone through I can't imagine having to go through the same things still working a full time job, still stressing over who is watching my kids every Saturday while I work... I have such an appreciation not only for spouses whose spouse is deployed, but the one left behind, working a job, and taking care of the kids, and finances, and keeping everything at home running, while missing their spouse and going through the hardships that come along with a spouse being overseas. It's hard. So many times everyone focuses on the Soldier who is overseas without their family, but the one left behind is a true hero too! I have HATED everything we have gone through as a family the past year... but... had Weston not gone to Korea, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to come to Georgia and spend an amazing 7 months with my Dad and family here. I have loved every minute of it, and so have my girls! I wouldn't trade the past 7 months for anything... While being here I have found me again, I have new passions, I have so many things I want to do... my eyes have been opened to many different things. It has been truly a time that I will always treasure!

* It's so weird to know that I'm fixing to move and I'm not doing anything to prepare for that move... I feel like I should be packing everything up! So nice that I don't have to : ) Not only do I not have to pack, but they take everything apart and put everything back together in our new home! Weston will be glad he won't have to mess with that bunk bed!

* The Disc Golf Player's Cup is in Austin, TX this week, and this evening Avery and Valarie Jenkins and Nate Doss are giving a free clinic! I'm so bummed because Austin according to MapQuest is only an hour and 22 minutes away!! That's one thing I am excited to be moving to Texas for, Disc Golf... I hope I get the opportunity to meet a few Pro women players and get some tips, and I definitely plan on playing in as many tournaments as I can! I know I said enough of Disc Golf, but I can't help it : ) I'm excited for Weston and me and the girls to play a lot while in Texas. With my winnings from the tournament I got Weston a disc golf bag and a disc (and me a disc too). So we are all set to go when we get there!

* It's a cloudy, rainy day here in Georgia, and Abi and I are planning on making Chocolate Mint cookies and I'm hoping for a nap later ; ) Hope everyone has a blessed week!

I had SO much fun! I'm wanting to say they had close to 40 people competing in the tournament, with two Pro players there. In the Women's Rec. division there were 3 of us girls. All 3 of us got along really well and we had a blast playing!

Friday I went out to Chehaw park and helped do some things to prepare for the tournament, Friday night I went to my Dad's to help get some last minute things done and one of the Pros, Geoffery "Toad" McReynolds, was staying at their house. I got to pick his brain about disc golf and he gave me a brand new putter, which just so happened to be pink : ) I love the putter!

Saturday EARLY morning, we headed to the disc golf course, being the first ones there I took advantage of some time and Toad worked with me on throwing off the tee box for about 30 minutes. It helped me out SO much, Throughout the competition I had some great shots that I was super proud of! Thank you so much Toad : )

The first round Saturday morning I felt really good and I finished the round with a 67 and the CTP (Closest to Pin). The second round not only was it tougher, the baskets were moved and I was tired. I ended up finishing that round with a 77, and I was EXHAUSTED! Playing in a tournament was much different, not only are you physically exhausted, but mentally too! I was trying my hardest to focus and make the best shot possible. By the end of the day I was leading in my division by 33 points! I was pretty excited! Sunday morning we started the 3rd and final round of the tournament...all the baskets were set in the LONG position! It was a tough round, but still so fun : ) I finished the round with a 74 and a total combined scored of 218. The other two girls I played with (who I had a blast with by the way) finished with a 266 and a 267.

Nobody got an Ace during all 3 rounds so after the tournament was over Sunday afternoon we all went out and shot to a basket, whoever Aced it or landed closest to the basket won the Ace fund, which was $52.00! May sound silly but I was nervous to get up there and throw because I was the only girl throwing amongst 30 something guys, so I waited till I couldn't wait anymore. I silently told God I wanted to win this and got up there and threw... and I landed just 3 feet from the basket... and WON : ) I was SHOCKED! And so was everyone else I think! A few more people threw after me, including Candice (one of the girls I played with, and an AWESOME new friend), and I just have to say Candice I was SO proud of your throw, you crushed it! Throw like that every time off the tee box... I will have some serious competition when I come back next year ; )

At the Awards I ended up winning $20.00 in Disc merchandise for winning the CTP, I won the Ace fund, and I also took first place in the Women's Division which was $30.00 in Disc merchandise! Everyone at the tournament was such a great group of people, it was a great atmosphere and I had so much fun! I've gained new friends and I learned so much!
It is alot of fun to me, I love the fact that anybody can play, even my kids, and it's definitely something that we can go do as a family! After I learned how to play it is addicting : ) So the point of this post... I do not watch Happy Endings, I don't have cable, so I don't watch any t.v., but I heard some of the controversy after a show they aired that made fun of disc golf and they called it frolf. Apparently they had a drop in their rating after that and they had a lot of complaints called into the show, and two of the stars decided to "apologize" for what they did to disc golf... It was pretty interesting...

Nate Doss and Valerie Jenkins decided to fire back : ) and although their acting skills are not that great, I still thought it was pretty funny!

So for those of you who want to watch both sides of the apologies, just click on the links above : )
