Seriously- you guys all have to do this. Makes gift buying SO much easier and surprising the one you love with something they've been wanting is just FUN!

VERY excited!

I told you to stay tuned for the final product of the pictures, so here. we. GO!! My mama & me did some serious painting today!

After way too many trips to Home Depot and freaking out about the wrong paint colors, we finally finished and we love it!

My family came down this weekend to see their favorite little baby. My mama brought along her new stencil she got!! I've been wanting to do something on our huge-empty-white-UGLY wall, so this stencil was perfecto!

We went and got some paint and my mama & I got to work!

{Notice how ugggly the wall was before!}

{The first coat coming along nicely. My wonderful husband was kind enough to tape the wall for us. And my little brother Briggs, well he's just a dork! haha}

He was sure a good baby sitter while we painted though!

Of course we had to stop in-between and play with my sweet cheeks! mmm, I could just eat her up!

Now for the fun part... the stenciling!! {ok it really wasn't that fun, but we were loving the end product so we kept going.} haha

We love it! It went from being big & ugly & white.....to a big, stenciled, wall of beauty! It really changed the look of the whole room.

Remember {this} post?!

I told you to stay tuned for what I was going to do with the rest of the pics so.....here's a little peeky!

When I saw a package with these wood cut outs in them I was freaking out! I couldn't wait to get these started!

So I've spent the past few days doing a little of this during nap time...

Nap time...go spray 1 coat. Next nap.... go spray 2nd coat. And so on.

{Then squeal with excitement in-between.}

Then take a little break to play with this sweet thing!

mmm... she is the cutest thing I've ever seen!

After drying over night... I sanded, and sanded, and sanded some more!

Then a fresh, shiny top coat to finish them off!

I got three of these babies finished this morning & I {can't wait} to get them hung!!

I'm so excited about the way these turned out. I wan't to get 100 of these frames and put them all over our house! {okay maybe not ALL over.} haha

{Elder T}

This cute boy {I mean Elder Tomlinson} left just a couple weeks ago to serve his mission.

My little brother left on February 1st and is headed to serve in the Nashville, Tennessee LDS mission!!

Elder T is currently in the MTC getting ready to go, but only has {5 days} left in there! On Monday, Nashville better be ready for him!

We are so proud of Braxton for his willingness to serve the Lord for the next 2 years. He is going to be an amazing missionary & bless the lives of SO many out there in Tennessee.

{Nashville is so lucky to have him for 2 years.}

We love you so much Elder Tomlinson!

{2 Months}

This little cheeser is now 2 months!!

Where have these last two months gone? Wasn't she born just yesterday??

My tater baby has grown so much in these last two months!

This sweet thing has changed and learned so many new things lately!

* She is SO smiley!

*She {loves} mirrors! She will check herself out and smile! It's so stinkin cute!

*She is more awake and alert all day!

*She loves her bath time!

*She had her 2 month check up at the doctor and she now weighs 10lbs 5oz!! She is only in the 20% percentile so she is still a pip squeak! :) I'm okay with that tho... I want her to stay my little baby forever!

*She got shots. :( {So sad}

*She discovered her voice a couple days ago & it is the cutest thing I have ever seen! There was no working into discovering it, just all of a sudden she was little miss chatty! She {LOVES} her voice!! Now all day she just chats with her mama!

She also {loves} to flirt with her daddy!

I caught on video how in love with her daddy she is!

This little girl has completely stolen our hearts!

I think I'm getting better at this mama thing. I'm finally starting to find time to cook my baby daddy dinner again. On a good day I will find time to do my hair. {However,} most days are still spent with messy hair, sweats still on, no make up on, dishes still in the sink, dirty laundry on the floor, and the the most beautiful baby laying in my arms.

{And I'm totally okay with it!}

This little girl is growing up way too fast so I'm totally ok with letting those dishes be dirty for a while longer if it means I get to be snuggling this sweet little thing.

All these beautiful prints of Taytum's newborn pics finally came!! YAY!! I've been patiently waiting for these beauties so I can cover up my bare walls!

I've had this old window for a while now but patiently waited for my baby girl to get here so pictures of her cute face could go in it.

Thank you Taytum for taking a little snoozer so mommy could get this little project done!

Isn't it so cute! It's even better than I had pictured in my head!

I love that I found a way to display her cute pics in a way other than boring ol picture frames. This is just way more fun!:)

A little late but here it is...
the Tanner Family's {Top 11 in 2011}

11... Jake turned 25 this year!{We celebrated by going on a harley ride and the Playmill.}

{And I turned the big 2-0!!} SO happy that my hubby can no longer call me a teenager. hehe

10... We made a big move to Wisconsin.

We arrived in Wisconsin on day 1 of this year. January 1st. Jake got a job there after graduating so we packed up and moved. It was a great learning and growing experience for us, BUT we are definitely glad to be back closer to our families this year.

9... {We found out we were PREGNANT!}

On April fools day we found out we were going to become a family of 3 soon!! Happy happy day!<3

8... We sold our favorite little Hondy and bought us a baby hauler!

Sad to see our favorite little Hondy go, but we love our roomy baby hauler!

7... We spent lots of fun time with our awesome families this year. One of our favorites was a relaxing week at Lake Powell!!

6... We moved AGAIN!! haha yes two big moves in less than 6 months! We were struggling with Jake's job in Wisconsin. He traveled WAY too much and it was just too hard on us so we decided we needed to make a change! We were so blessed that he applied for a job in Nevada closer to home and GOT IT! So we headed back to Ideeeeho for a month before heading to NV!!

5... New adventure in NEVADA!

We are SO happy with Jake's new job! He has loved it so far and we are SO grateful to be back closer to our families!

4... We became HOME OWNERS!!
**Okay I wish I had a picture of us as new homeowners, BUT we were much too excited to just get moved in to our new love nest to take pictures!**

3... Our sweet baby girl was blessed by her daddy.
{Okay so this one happened a few days after the new year but I'm still counting it!}

Taytum received a beautiful blessing and looked so beautiful on her special day! She is truly and angel! It was such a special day and one that we will remember forever.

She even got to share her special day with her Uncle Braxton! {Soon to be Elder Tomlinson} That same day was Uncle Braxton's mission farewell! It was an awesome sacrament meeting to hear Taytum's blessing and then listen to my little brother speak. One of the best meetings I've been to. The spirit was so strong! Uncle Brax is going to be an awesome missionary and we are so happy for him. He is AWESOME! He loves Taytum is such a great example to her! Brax heads to the MTC next week!!

2... On March 5th, we were sealed for eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple!!!!! {SO HAPPY}

And finally #1... Out sweet baby girl finally arrived!!!

I must have ate WAY too much turkey because the night of Thanksgiving Jake rushed me to the hospital! On November 25th at 4:59am, Taytum Jayd Tanner was born! Most definitely the best part of our year!

Such a happy girl!

{Well what a wonderful year it has been! We are so blessed and grateful for everything 2011 brought. Bring on another great year! Yay for 2012!!}

I was a nervous wreck traveling with a baby but the pics are so worth it! They turned out awesome!

Taytum's Arrival

{**This is a REALLY long post. I want to remember every detail and have it in writing.}
Let's start out on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving.

My family was on their way here to stay for Thanksgiving. Jake & I headed to the doc for my appointment at 10. I wasn't dilated at my appointment the week before so we were really hoping for some progress! {I had been having braxton hicks contractions like every 10 minutes at this point.} BUT, NO LUCK! The doctor checked me and said I was only about 50% effaced and not even dilated!!! I was hoping for much better news.:( I told the doc that my family was coming for Thanksgiving and I would really like to have her while they were here. She replied with a laugh and said there was no way she would be coming anytime soon. {Proved that doctor wrong! haha}

So we went home a little discouraged. My family got there and we went to dinner & a movie that night.
The next day {Thanksgiving}, me & my mama were in the kitchen most of the day cooking Thanksgiving dinner. I kept complaining to my mom that my back had started really hurting. It would start as a pain in my back and then move all the way around to my front. I really thought nothing of it- just thought it was pregnancy pains because I was getting so huge. These pains came every once in a while all day on Thanksgiving.

My family had planned on staying until Saturday but had an unexpected funeral on Friday so they cut their trip short and headed home Thursday night. {No big deal since I wasn't even dilated at my doc appointment the day before.} I kept teasing them that I was going to have her that night because they were leaving. haha We all thought there was just no way. After they left, I was exhausted from cooking so Jake & I popped in a movie. I don't even remember what movie it was because I was on the floor most of the movie hunched over. The back pains had gotten worse! I would hunch over on the floor to try and relieve some pain. I didn't think these were contractions. First- I didn't know what contractions felt like, and second- I thought the pain was too much in my back to be contractions. We went to bed around 10 and woke up at midnight. I woke up in A LOT of pain. The pains were coming more frequently and hurt a lot more. I layed there crying everytime one would come. I tried to be quiet so I wouldn't wake up Jake but my crying eventually woke him up. Neither of us thought they were real contractions. I wanted to try and relieve some pain and I got up and started walking around. I knew my hospital bag still needed packed so I decided to pack it! {Finally} I packed clothes for the baby and me and got it set by the door ready to go. I got back in bed hoping the pains would go away because I was SO tired and really just wanted to sleep. While laying there I was reading online different signs of labor. It said when contractions are 5 minutes apart and last1 minute long- go to the hospital. So I got curious. Maybe I was really having contractions??? So I began timing them for about a half hour. Sure enough, they were every 4 to 5 minutes and lasting a minute long! I was a bawling mess and didn't know what to do so I called the hospital to talk to a nurse. She said to come in and they would check me. NO WAY! I did NOT want to go!! I knew I wasn't even dilated the day before and probably wasn't still very dilated so they would surely just send me home!! {I was SURE of this!} So I called my mama. {Yes it was like 3 in the morning her time.} She said I should probably head in there if I was in a lot of pain and get checked. I was just so scared of getting sent home. I decided I would give it another half hour to see how I did. I was not doing well! I was in a lot of pain!! Jake got up and started a shower and was telling me to get in it to maybe relieve some pain. I was going to when I had one last contraction, it was horrible! I turned to Jake and said LET'S GO! He didn't question a thing. He threw on a hat, grabbed our hospital bag{that I had packed and hour before thank you very much} and got me in the car! By this time, it was 3 in the morning. Driving 85 and running a red light, we got to the hospital 15 minutes later. They wheeled me up to my room and the nurse was ready for me! I got changed and in the bed and she checked me.

"An 8. It feels like your at an 8."

WHAT?! Was this nurse for real??

Both Jake and I were in complete shock and I just started bawling! The nurse had another nurse come in and check me just to be sure and that nurse said the same thing. Through my tears I frantically asked the nurse if there was still time for an epidural. I knew it was too late. The nurse said no, the guy lived too far away. This baby would be here within an hour! I was a mess at this point. I've never been so scared for anything in my life. I had always planned on a epidural. How was I going to do this?
I. Was. Scared. So my my hubby.
I had Jake call my mom and tell her the news. Of course, she was in shock too! Everything was moving so fast at this point it was a blur. Was I really going to have a baby within an hour?? The nurse hooked me up to an IV and got monitors on the baby. Jake fed me ice chips and helped me work through contractions while the nurses got everything ready. Jake asked the nurses to give us a minute alone before everything got even more crazy. He then gave me a blessing. I am forever grateful for that blessing. He not only blessed me but our baby that would be joining our family too. That blessing was so comforting & I know that because of it, things went great and we got her here with no problems. I am so grateful that Jake holds the priesthood power. The nurses came back in and checked me again. I was ready to push. My nurses were seriously awesome! They were amazing at helping me and getting me through it. I pushed for about an hour when the nurse said, "Jake look down here." She was right there! I was freaking out because the doctor wasn't even in the room! One of the nurses ran out and I knew she was getting the doctor. I kept saying little prayers to myself asking Heavenly Father to help me do this. The doctor and the nurse came rushing back in. 2 pushes later, at 4:59am, Taytum was here. When she came out, it was the biggest relief of my life. I was in so much pain for so long and then it was just gone. I just couldn't believe what had just happened. I layed there in bed watching my baby and just cried.
7 pounds, 9 ounces. 19.75 inches long. Perfect.
The nurse got her all cleaned up and gave her to Jake. He brought her over to me and I couldn't help but just cry. What a whirlwind of a night and somehow we ended up here with this perfect baby in my arms. Life could not get any better.
We stayed in the hospital for a day and got to bring her home! My mom and dad came right back down so were here to help us with everything. I'm so glad my mom was here. I had no idea what I was doing so she helped me with the baby and took care of Jake & I. She is awesome. Jake referred to her as super-woman! haha
We are loving being home with our little Taytum. We still can't believe she is here and we actually have a baby. It is still just unreal. We are so grateful for her sweet little spirit. She is perfect and we are so in love with her. I love being a mom. I feel like I have found what I am supposed to be doing in life. I never knew I could love something so much.

I will write the whole story of her arrival in my next post. I just wanted you all to meet her. I'm off to go snuggle with my sweet baby.

{Stockings & a baby update}

I finished one last project today before the baby comes!

{Only 12 days left!!}

I've been wanting to make some stockings for our little family for a while now so when I found this tutorial at www.sew4home.com I was in love!

I got all the fabric at JoAnn's yesterday for under 10 bucks! {YES!} And still have some leftover!

They are pretty little but most things in stockings are just little goodies anyways.

-I have less than 2 weeks left!! I can't believe it! She could come any day now.

-I need to pack our hospital bag but I keep putting it off. For some reason that bag just makes it so real and makes me nervous!

-We went to the doc on Friday and I was hoping I would be dihalated, but no such luck. We are going back to get checked again tomorrow so maybe I will have made some progress. {I'll keep you posted.}

-Yes, I am very nervous. BUT....I get more and more excited every day. Can't wait to hold my baby girl!

-Every time I lay down, braxton hicks contractions start up. All. Night. Long. She is just preparing me to be up all night with her.

-My family is all coming down here to spend Thanksgiving with us so I hope she decides to come a little early while they are here!! That would be so fun! My youngest brother Briggs {he's 9} I think is the most excited for this baby. When we first told him we were pregnant all he could say was, "it better not be a girl!" Now, every time I am around him he can't stop rubbing my belly. He even had one of his little friends with him last time I was home and he informed his friend that there was a baby in there and that he could rub my belly if he wanted. haha This girl will be very blessed with the very best family a girl could ask for!

I'll keep you all posted with my baby progress. Hopefully she makes her arrival soooooon!

{Nesting}

Today I am definitely nesting.
I looked around my house this morning & started thinking everything had germs on it. So I began cleaning......everything!!
I want everything to be clean when this baby gets here. So, about 5 hours later, I am sitting here in a clean house with a back that is killing me!

I always wondered if I would be one of those crazy preggo ladies that 'nests.' Yup, I'm def one of them!

Only 25 more days people.
{or possibly less}
25 more days of being pregnant. It's going to be kind of weird to not be pregnant anymore.

25 more days of life with just Jake & I. Things are about to change in a very big way and it's really hitting me this week.
Last weekend my sweet Jake took me out on a date.
Lunch & then bowling. Just the two of us.
It was seriously the best day. We won't have many more dates like that before we become a family of 3. Jake & I have been married for almost 2 years now. 2 years where it's been all about each other. Things are going to change in the next 25 days. Suddenly our world will revolve around this sweet little girl. I'm sad that this phase of our life where it just the two of us is over. But on to the next phase! I'm so grateful for the past two years and the fun we have had just the two of us. I am looking forward to our life being different & enjoying our life as a family of 3!!

Today I am {36 weeks 4 days}
A few little things.....................

-I wake up twice a night now to pee.
-I started swelling. Boo. My fingers won't fit my rings anymore and shoes KILL my feet!:(
-We have narrowed it down to 3 names. We will decide on one when we finally meet her.
-We got pre-registered at the hospital last week. Now whenever she is ready to make her arrival we can go straight to the delivery room!
-I am ANXIOUS!!!! Every day I think I convince myself that she is coming that day! {It's gonna be a long 25 days if I keep this up!}

Hurry up little girl! We want to meet you!!

Christmas Tree Skirt Tutorial!!

Since this year we will finally have a Christmas tree of our own, I decided to make a tree skirt!! Now that it is finished I think it's time to get a tree put up so I can enjoy it for the next 2 months!:)

I originally found how to make this skirt at

but decided to put my own twist on it!

I decided to make this my very first tutorial!

{woop woop!}

So for all of you that want to make one, there is a picture for every step of the way.

{It was super easy- but time consuming.}

{Very well worth it though!!}

Here we go!!... {Get excited!}

Step #1: Cut out a circular piece of felt that is 44" long.

Draw a line all the way across both ways making a + sign.

From the center, measure 3" out on all sides and draw that circle.

Cut up one of the lines and cut out the center circle.

{It's already looking more like a tree skirt right?!}

Now from the circle you just cut, measure 4" down each long line. You can now connect your dots and draw your circles all the way around the skirt.

Look closely at my picture & you can see all my markings and black lines.

Step #2: Choose your fabric! {Fun part!}

Lay it out in the order you want it on your skirt.

You will need 5 different fabrics.

1 yard of the first 3 and about 1 1/2 yards of the last 2.

Step #3: Cutting your fabric!

row 1: 2 pieces of 6" x 42"

row 2: 4 pieces of 6" x 42"

row 3: 6 pieces of 6" x 42"

row 4: 7 pieces of 6" x 42"

row 5: 8 pieces of 6" x 42"

That's a lot of cutting!

{Take a break and eat some chocolate!}

{The chocolate is a must!}

Step #4: Start with the fabric for row #5. Take all 8 pieces and sew one straight line 1/4inch from the edge. {Do not do a back stitch- just sew a simple line.}

After you have done all 8 of them you will have a messy pile of them on the floor like so.... :)

Step #5: Now time to ruffle!

To make your ruffles, pull on the thread at the end of each piece. {This is why we didn't do the back stitch.}

Tip: to get a good ruffle you kinda have to play with it. Pull where you want- smooth where you want. You can do it-i promise!

Ruffle all 8 pieces.

One finished piece should look something like this.

Once you have all 8 pieces done, you are going to sew them together.

That brings us to Step #6:

Take each piece and tie a knot with the thread at the ends to hold the ruffle. Then with right sides together, sew the pieces together 'til you have one very large ruffled piece!

Place it on the piece of felt and pin if you want- no big deal if you don't.

Step #7: Sew that piece of ruffled goodness onto the felt! I didn't use pins because the lines you draw on the felt are easy to follow but do whatever your heart desires.

YAY! Your first row is done!

{This is the point where I was getting real excited & couldn't stop.}

Those steps weren't so bad right?!

For step #8: repeat!!

You will do the exact same thing for all the rest of the rows.

{Horrible picture-don't judge.}

And repeat again....

I loved the burlap in the middle! Sewing that was too difficult so I ended up hot gluing that row.

Getting closer now....

{I've taken a few potty breaks by now.}

{Like I said- not hard, just time consuming!}

Last row!!!

Woop woop! By this point you will be very mucho in love with your creation!:)

Step #9: Making the tie.

Just a warning, I had no idea what the crap I was doing on this part so if you have a better way, do it!!

I started by cutting a 2inch piece of fabric.

Fold it in half and iron.

So it looks somewhat like this...

Then fold each side to the middle and iron.

Fold the whole thing in half and iron.

Like so.... {Hope this part is making sense.}

Now you have your tie so start pinning around the top of your skirt.

One flap of the tie on one side and the other on the other side. {I know that was confusing but the pictures help.} haha

Pin all the way around...

Now start sewing!

Start at one end and sew all the way around.

Go slow- This part is a little tricky.

{I hated this part.} Blah.

But once you go all the way around..........YOU ARE DONE!!

Tie a cute bow & your beautiful new Christmas tree skirt is donzo!

Now you can enjoy:)

Happy Halloweeeeeen!

We're not too into Halloween in these parts.

A few pumpkins, a little face paint, but that's about it.

We're hoping that we at least get a few trick-or-treaters at our door tonight!

I can't hardly wait til next year when we have a little baby girl to dress up and we can take her trick-or-treating!

We did carve some pretty stinkin awesome pumpkins this year.

We got together with some of our friends and and had a lil carving party! We made a quick trip to Wal Mart before we got to their house to pick out our pumpkins and saw the carving kits for like 2 bucks!

I was a little hesitant because growing up we always just used pencils and steak knives. Let me tell you.....buy the carving kit!!

It was awesome and the pumpkins were so easy to carve. Best 2 bucks I spent all month!:)

We also had some Tomlinson family pictures taken a few weeks ago and they turned out awesome! We got there to take the pictures and the wind was howling-it was muddy-and it was freezing! We thought there was no way they would turn out but my cousin Whitney who took the pictures is a miracle worker! They turned out great!!

Baby Girl's Blessing Dress

My cute hubby & my mama's hubby are both gone for the week so I decided to head up to Idaho and have a fun week with my mama!

Yesterday we did a little craft shopping and then had the greatest lunch at Great Harvest.

{I had no idea they served lunch but it.was.divine.}

Then last night we made my sweet baby girl's blessing dress!!

I first saw the dress on etsy a couple months ago and fell in love. {I love etsy.}

But of course, it was like 300 bucks!! no bueno.

So I printed off the picture to show my mama. I did not want to pay that much and I knew my mama could use her mad sewing skills to make the same thing!

We found the perfect fabric and went to work!

Here is how it turned out!

Isn't it so cute??!

She is going to look absolutely b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l. wearing it while her daddy gives her a name and a blessing. I can't wait!

Yes, that is right. We moved once again.

{Hence my lack of blogging lately.}

I know- we move more than anyone I know!!

But, this time we moved only 10 miles down the road instead of 1500 miles across the country. woop woop!

Ever since being married, we have moved every 6 months! I'm not kidding. So, now that we are settled here we agreed that we absolutely will not move for a long time!!

Since rent here is beyond outrageous we decided a mortgage would be a cheaper option. It was a big, scary decision but Jake and I purchased our first home!! {I guess we are big kids now.} So we have spend the last few weeks getting all moved in and settled.

The funnest part has been finally being able to set up our sweet baby girl's room! I'll post pictures of the house when it looks presentable enough to take some pictures. {Give me a break, I'm 8 months preggo and super tired lately!} So for now, I only take pictures of baby girls room.

We finally got to set up her crib.{I've been dying to do that!}

And remember I was telling you about the amazing crib bedding my mama made?! I was so excited to get the crib set up so I could put the bedding on! My mama is awesome!

So cute huh?!

I made some pom poms to hang.

I also want to paint in here but am nervous about colors. Suggestions?

I modge podged her light switches and outlets. Thank you pinterest for the idea!

I even pulled out the sewing machine the other day and made this changing pad cover. It'll go on top of her dresser. Now she will be looking cute while I change her stinky bum. :)

I just had to post this. My mom and I found it at Deseret Book and thought it was perfect for the babys room. Isn't it sweet. I hope she will always know how special she is.

So that is an update on the nursery. It's coming. :)
Sometimes I like to go sit in there and day dream about holding my baby girl in my arms. Only about a month and a half left!!

What else we've been doing...

We've gone back to Idaho a few times & of course Jake and Brax had to do some hunting.

They were only gone for an hour and came back with all of these!!
They thought they were pretty hot stuff.
**And notice the snow on the ground. Oh Idaho.

My older brother Kaden got married!
We spent a weekend in Idaho helping my mom with a reception up there and then they got hitched the next weekend in the San Diego Temple.

So October has been pretty crazy and it's not even over yet.
But no more moving for us for along time so I'm back in the blogging world!

Not just any shirt, I need a shirt that has printed on the front in big letters....

I am due December 4th.

It's a girl.

Yes we have a few names picked out.(But I'm not telling you.)

Anyone willing to make one for me?? jk

But seriously- If I go to the grocery store, I get asked those exact questions at least 5 times.

It's always in that exact order too!

I get asked those questions everywhere I go so this would just save a lot of conversations with strange people. haha

I'm 29 weeks and starting to get a ~~little~~ lot nervous!

I'm nervous about how the whole delivery thing is going to go.

I keep telling myself that women give birth every day and survive.

It's just unknown.

Some women have very easy deliveries & some have very hard ones.

What will mine be like??

I just want to skip all that scary stuff and magically have my baby girl here.

Give me some comfort ladies.... you survived it so I can too right?

The Local Laundromat

Today Jake & I spend some time at our local laundromat.

woop woop!!

Yes, it was a good time.

You see, we have no washer & dryer. We have always lived in a place that had one already in it.

Well not here.

We are supposed to be moving into our house in a couple weeks so we have been putting off buying a set until we get to move in.

So for the past 2 months, about every other week I take a fun little trip to do laundry. Today, I decided Jake should experience the fun with me.

We got there, put our quarters in, put our soap in, washed our undies, and waited, and waited, and waited.

Then- we put more quarters in, and started the dryer.

Side note-we left our laundry baskets and soap all piled together on a table on the other side of the laundromat where we were sitting. We could clearly see them. When we got up to change our clothes from the washer to the dryer in was like 30 seconds.maybe.

Back to the story- We start the dryer, turn around too see some lady STEALING our big thing of laundry soap!!!! Yes, in broad daylight we watched her stuff it in her bag and head out the door!!

Ok lady. 1. Who steals laundry soap?!

2. Why?!

And 3. Who seriously steals laundry soap?!

We were not letting her run off with our soap so Jake ran after her and was very kind to her. (I'm not sure I would have been so kind.)

He said, ' Um excuse me mam, I think you took our laundry soap.'

BUSTED.

She opened her bag, handed it to Jake, and was outta there!!

bwahahahahaahahahahaha.

I've never sat there and watched someone steal something before. Especially something as dumb as laundry soap! Who knows, maybe she was desperate and couldn't afford any. Or maybe she just likes to steal. Who knows.

All I know is that it is pretty darn funny.

And scary.

I'm never going back to that laundromat alone that's for sure!

Lesson learned: never turn your back on your laundry soap.

Another craft post.

I apologize.

I get bored while Jake is at work so crafting is the only thing that keeps me sane!

It's all I seem to be doing lately but it passes the time!

So here is what I have been doing the past few days...

I made a ton of these little beauties so anyone want one??

I'm so excited to decorate our house for halloween!

I don't have many holiday decorations so I decided to make one!

I broke out my silhouette vinyl cutter which is {awesome} and cut me out some cute letters.

I'm finally getting that silhouette machine figured out and loving it more and more.

Then I ran down to Home Depot and grabbed me a piece of wood!

Not too shabby eh?!

Can't wait to get it hung up soon!

Since all I seem to be posting about is crafting lately I will give you an update on my loves: Jake & baby girl.

{Jake} has been loving his new job. It's such a nice change from his job in WI. He hated that job and was so unhappy so I love hearing how much he enjoys his work now! The early mornings are hard on both of us but we are getting use to them. He can't wait for his baby girl to get here! I know that little girl is going to have her daddy wrapped around her little finger!

{Baby girl} is kicking me more and more every day. Seriously whenever I get comfortable to go to sleep it seems like she is just waking up and ready to party in there!! She's already keeping me up all night! haha Doc said I should start feeling her hiccup! What?! That will be a crazy day. I'm 28 weeks and seriously cannot believe it. She is going to be here in like 2 1/2 months! So crazy!

Money is getting tight around here so Jake decided to take a second job on the weekends to provide for our family.

What an amazing husband! :)

He was loving his new job so much & making such great money from all his clients he decided to branch out on his own.

He recruited all of my brothers to help him & together they started their own booty-shakin business.

They love working together and giving each other tips on new moves.

It's a great weekend job with great tips.

If any of you are as impressed with these boys' booty-shakin moves as I am, feel free to contact me & I'll try and pencil you in for your own private party.

Where were you?

I was in the 5th grade.

Mrs. Barzee's class.

I remember getting ready to run out to the bus that morning when the phone rang and my mom turned on the tv.

I remember being confused watching what was happening on the screen.

Me and my brothers ran out to the bus & went to school.

The teachers all had the news on in their classrooms and we watched the events unfold most of the day.

Jake was a freshman.

He remembers sleeping late & when he woke up someone told him what had happened.

He went to school & watched what our baby girl will learn about in history class take place right there on the screen.

........

Here we are, 10 years later.

Married, with a baby on the way.

Who would have thought our life could change so much in 10 years.

Today I am feeling both grateful and sad.

Grateful for the life I have.

My husband, my baby, my family, my country.

Grateful to be living where we are now.

Sad for the families who lost someone that terrible day.

We've been watching the documentaries about 9/11 for the past couple days on tv and it breaks our hearts.

As we watched we held each other a little tighter and said I Love You an extra time.

As much as we all complain, our country is wonderful. Many men & women died that day trying to save others.

Today we will remember those men & women.

We will remember the families affected.

We will remember our feelings that day.

We will remember how grateful we are for our country.

Fall Wreath

It's starting to feel a little more like fall around here.

Cooler temps, sweaters, boots, pretty leaves, fairs, & hunting season.

(I threw the hunting in there for Jake.) haha

We love fall.

So I decided our new door is going to need a pretty wreath.

AND BIG NEWS- our town is moving up in the world!!

*Last week a craft store opened up!!!*

To clarify- there are NO stores here where we live. Like none.

We have Wal Mart and that's about it.

So I was thrilled!!!

I went as soon as I heard it was open and got some supplies to make a wreath!

I got the idea off of pinterest. (I seem to get every idea there lately.) LOVE IT!

So here is my wreath! My fingers hurt from making those rosettes all stinkin day but our door is going to look sooooo cute and festive now!

This past weekend Jake didn't have to work Friday or Monday so we headed to Idaho!!

We miss Idaho so much but are so glad to be somewhere now that we can go back whenever we want now.

We spent the long weekend just hanging out with our families.

Trey had a football game Friday night and did SO good!

Saturday we spent fishing on the river with Jake's fam and then a BBQ! Yum.

Sunday we ate way too much peach pie.

And Monday Jake spend riding motorbikes with my little brothers who think Jake is the greatest thing to hit the earth! not kidding. While my mama and I made freezer corn from the garden.

We love our families SO much.

Can't wait til we can go home again!! We always have so much fun & I still cry when we have to leave. don't judge.

My mama hooked us up with all kinds of goodies when we got there.

She has been BUSY making things for this grand baby of hers!

She is so talented!
