Sony teases Dot Switch Multi-Screen Tech

Sony has left the fans that has a video clip and an upcoming feature called as “Dot Switch.” The 30 second clip has a pair of hands that use an Xperia handset to trigger various devices.This video is typically cryptic that links to a website which highlights Dot Switch as “New entertainment from Sony.”

The new kind of television set has Sony CEO Howard Stringer that talked about in 2011. The Japanese text around the vid suggests some kinds of multi screen entertainment offering. This is the technology to transfer on your TV that is straight to your phone or tablet. Sony has up its sleeve on 21 February.

Fresh Apple Lawsuits Target 15 Samsung Gadgets

Apple have another go at Samsung and tells a German court to think that ten of the South Korean Giant phones has established its design language.

Its place is after the five Samsung tablets and is placed in a separate location.The iPhone maker is in quest to the Dusseldorf Regional court to ban the allegedly offending gadgets from sale.

Of all the handsets, Apple has taken its design cues from its own products such as Galaxy S Plus and Galaxy S II.

This tablet centric suit targets the various Galaxy Tab models which includes 10.1N that is introduced by Samsung in November 2011 to bypass a ban on Galaxy Tab 10.1.Apple is reluctant to prevail its case against the 10.1N.

Nokia, Indiatimes Launch Online Store NokiaShop

Nokia is going to launch its first online store in India with Indiatimes shopping.Indiatimes has other ten online portals to bag the deal to become Nokia’s official online partner.Online store like Nokia shop is the first portal in the country to deliver phones directly from manufacturer to users.

It includes the unveiling of the largest ever marketing campaign in the country.The Finnish handset may go out to introduce its large Windows range of smartphones.Online buying accounts are available for less than 1% of the handset sales in India. Griffin technology has moved round the iPad now and at CES, the company has introduced two Midi based gadgets to turn your fondleslab into fully fledged music production box.Griffin’s Midiconnect equips iPads and other iOS devices for that matter with a standard 5 pin Din Midi in port to attach your instruments and record straight to the slate.

Also there is a Midi out port and the iPad can be used as a controller itself.Studio connect is an iPad dock that takes the reins in one audio interface.There are ports for Midi in and out and has mono quarter inch jack plug with stereo 3.5in minijack.The studioconnect has features on left and right RCA ports.It includes 3.5mm headphone socket with dedicated volume control.

Midiconnect touches down on US shelves this spring for 80 dollars.Studioconnect strolls soon and launches in February for 150 dollars.There is no indication of heading to blightly just yet.At CES 2011, iConnectivity launched the iConnectMidi and a professional 2 x 2 MIDI interface for iOS that has made it to shelves.

Sony Shows off NXT-Generation Smartphone

Sony unveiled another member of its sans-Ericsson collection of smartphones and the Xperia S makes the start of next generation in Sony blowers.Xperia S is the first in Sony’s NXT series of handsets.It is equipped with 1.5GHz dual core processor that runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread.It is upgraded to Android 4.0 ice cream Sandwich by Q2.

This handset has features like 4.3in, with 1280 x 720 display and redesigned user interface to match the minimalistic design of hardware.This company is referred as “Iconic Identity” and this design will apparently replicate across Sony entire Xperia NXT series to build for instant recognisable.The Arc S has 12MP snapper and takes photos in 1.5 seconds from standby mode.It also has 1.3MP front facing camera with 32GB of storage, an HDMI Port and NFC capabilities.

It has Playstation certification with access to PS store for games.Sony Xperia S is available later and Phones4U has confirmed to offer the phone in white from March.Three and O2 has announced plans to stock the regular version.Price is not yet confirmed.

CES 2012: Sony Ericsson Xperia MT27i Pepper images leaked

Consumer Electronics in 2012 shows Sony Ericsson to show a new breed of Xperia smartphones.Images of the Sony Ericsson Xperia with model number MT27i and code name Pepper leaked online.Xperia blog showed images of Xperia MT27i Pepper prototype handset and shares details about it.Mobile Indian reported about Sony Ericsson Nozomi handset with 720p HD display and dual core mobile processor.

Pepper and Nozomi will be part of Sony Ericsson 2012 Xperia smartphone line up.It has features like 3.7 inch touchscreen display with 480 x 854 pixel native resolution.Smartphone has ST-Ericsson Nova Thor U8500 mobile chipset.New MT27i Pepper smartphone features a 5 megapixel camera that is capable of recording 720p HD video.The front facing camera is visible in the images and there is no detail about operating system loaded on the handset that would be Android 4.0 ice cream Sandwich.

The front facing camera resets the LED notification and smartphone that carries a design similar to Nozomi handset except for the LED strip below the screen.Handset in the image is a prototype unit and the actual handset might be a wee bit.Touchscreen panel accommodates three capacitive buttons for home, back and menu.

Apple working on facial recognition for mobiles

Apple has a set of track that have only working products and is not caught yet.It is in plan to redesign with the appeal to catch fire with general buying public.iPad is the best example and siri is another example.There is a new patent that suggests Apple could tackle facial recognition and a patent application is published by US patent and Trademark office on December 29.It is spotted by patently Apple that describes a system for presence detection and builds on two patents.

Apple has filed that is related to technology and has a specific take which is aimed at use in mobile devices.The prior patents deal with presence detection on Macbooks with advanced recognition systems for use in processor and heavy home and business applications.Apple plans to fix about presence detection and describes a system in lightning conditions, angles and scale could be accounted for.It makes face recognition usable on mobiles with out strict caveats and conditions.

Galaxy Nexus ICS face unlock feature is cute and fails to match in most of the cases and can be fooled with still photograph of the subject who activated the recognition feature.Apple is using new method to use short cuts to determine a device with out heavy computational costs that is normally involved in such a process.It can be achieved by ignoring facial biometrics and assessing the position of personal features to compensate for changes in subject orientation.

There are many advantages that includes built in feature to evaluate a person level of attentiveness by using the system.It could help the system to avoid being duped by still photographs.New patent also descibes other neat tricks as recognizing faces among family members, friends and co workers.It delivers different screen savers or non secured information to those individuals.

LG to unveil Google TV next week

LG Electronics said that it would unveil its first Google TV next week and is going to join in Sony Corp and Samsung Electronics Co in making partnership with search giant to get foothold in emerging Internet TV market.Google helps in replicating the success of its Android mobile software in TV market and its attempt to conquer the living room has got only limited success due to lack of web content and support from hardware manufacturers.
