We ring in the new year and then start the Birthday Marathon. We celebrated Kayleen's 15th birthday earlier this month, and tomorrow we will celebrate Kelsey's 11th birthday. Our family tradition is that the celebrant gets to choose what to have for their birthday dinner. Kelsey usually starts choosing her meal in June, and changes her mind a zillion times. This year she has settled on homemade chicken noodle soup and for dessert, chocolate fondue. On Friday night she will celebrate with her best pals here at the house. Happy Birthday Kelsey, we love you!

We'll wrap up the birthday marathon next month.
