My LOVE My LIFE My LOONACY

Alright, so loonacy is not a real word.

BUT...

it describers how über, yes über, crazy I have felt. Please do not take that as a complaint, because it is not. I love my life and especially the people in my life. There is this particular little person that has created most of the "craziness" but I have loved every second of it.

Being a mother has changed everything!!!

And all mothers go a little crazy, because we HAVE to do it all.

In this day and age a lot of mothers need to have a job. Living on one income has become harder to accomplish. I myself need to earn money for my family and I am thankful that I have found something I can do at home. Being a full time mom is an amazing gift and being able to watch her grow and develop daily is something extremely special and something I will not take for granted.

I want to succeed as a business woman so that I can continue to be the mother I want to be as well as improve on myself so I can be the best version of me and gift my child an example to go for her dreams.

I can sincerely use your help in growing my business...

(I did not think that this post would end up here, but here I am so here we go):

I am wanting to build a "brag book" for my business (this is where you come in) I am looking for people who would be willing to try at least ONE It Works product for three months, at my wholesale cost, take before and after pics, and write a review at the end. Where the Hell have I Been!?

Hello friends, followers, and visitors! I am happy that you all have still been around in my absence.

You may wonder where the hell have I been?

To put it simply...

I had a baby!

A beautiful baby Girl who is now almost 3 months old. She takes up majority of my time and I have loved every second of it... okay, okay being a mom is hard stuff - so not literally every second. I have had a couple of break down moments when I feel I have no idea what I am doing, and that I cannot be a mother.

BUT... I can! In all actuality am a pretty good mom. Of course not perfect, but we all know that no one is perfect and my daughter dose not need me to be perfect. She needs love and someone to take care of her, two big checks there!

She has started smiling, responding, and recognizing.

She poops about every 2 hours and hates it.

She has a bit of acid reflux, but is on medicine now and hopefully it will help.

Last time she was weighed and measured she was 10LBS 14OZ and 22Inches.

Blue Eyes and Blonde, she is going to be a bombshell.

Enjoys Music and HAS to have all the attention of whomever is holding her.

I Love her more that I thought it was possible to love anything!

I am very grateful for the amazing people in my life who love and support me. I would not be who I am without them. I care and love like I do because of all they do for me. I make good choices because of what each of them have taught me. I want to be a better person because of their examples. I love each of them with all my heart and I only help they know that. I am so blessed to have a great husband, family, and friends.

My family, especially my parents, would do anything to make sure I was taken care of... and they have worked so hard my whole life to provide for me and to give me every opportunity to succeed and to grow into a good person. I am so lucky to have siblings who I enjoy spending time with. I enjoy every moment I have with them and I hope to have more chances to do more with them and to have a better relationship.

I have been blessed to have an abundance of good friendships. I am lucky to have remained close friends with my Junior High/High School gang... most of us are closer than ever! My friends support me so much that I know that they will always be there for me when I need them and will continue to love me for who I am no matter what. That is a rare thing and I hope I never lose them!!

My husband has been so caring and understanding through this past year that I am no longer afraid of the future, sure I have my days when I get a little nervous... but I do not think those nerves will ever fully go way, that is how life simply is sometimes. I am blessed to have a husband who would do all he can to make sure his family is provided for, even work at a job he hates. He is also so willing to help around the house and make up the difference when I slack off. He is strong, caring, and so awesome! He is my favorite person in this world.

I am a big worrier and anxiety is something I struggle with on a daily basis. I am afraid of failing and displeasing people. I want everyone to be happy and impressed with me ALWAYS. But, it is impossible for me to grow as a person if I am constantly worrying about what others are thinking about me. There is no way for me to please everyone.

This is my time to grow and succeed and the only way I can do that is to prioritize my focus. In my mind that does not mean I forget about the people in my life, but I need to remember it is not up to me to constantly make them happy and therefore forget about my own happiness.

Love is not one sided and I need people in my life who are going to love me through my faults and assist me to be better. Like everyone else in the world... I am not perfect - I make mistakes. All I can do is ask forgiveness for those mistakes and work on doing better.

I want to be great... I have wanted to be great for as far back as I can remember. When I was a kid I constantly compared myself to other people. Today I find myself continuing to compare myself to others and being envious of their accomplishments and their experiences. I tend to lie by adding embellishments to some of my stories about my life to seem more impressive. I am not able to explain what it is that drives me to worry so much about what people think, but I want to grow from that and be proud of not only who I am... but what I have!

I have a very blessed life and as I have said before it is very easy for me to forget that. I am looking forward to my new years resolution to help me remember everything I have. I would start my resolution now if I was not already trying to improve myself in other areas.

Gratitude is a value I am working on. Over the past year I realized that I only prayed when I wanted something. I am working on my daily prayers and focusing on expressing my gratitude to our Heavenly Father. I also need to remember to thank those in my life who have helped me. I am so grateful for my family and friends who love and support me, and I need to constantly let them know that.

I have been blessed with a gift of wisdom, "wisdom beyond my years," as my patriarchal blessing explains. I have never really struggled

with wisdom, but have realized that I not only need to strengthen that gift but I need to share it. So, wisdom is another value I am working on.

I have been taking big strides to being overall happier and healthier... however, I struggle a little with motivation - or at least getting started every day. I get my tasks done every day; I just have some more work to do in my productivity.

It is not easy working on being "better" - I go through moments when I feel like I am wasting my time... but that is the little devil inside me trying to get me to give up. I am not going to listen!

For those of you who do not know I am pregnant. 6 months pregnant today to be exact... AND it is a Girl!

Yesterday the saying "Don't Try, Do!" came into my mind, and I realized that this past year I have been TRYING to better myself... I need to stop trying and actually DO IT and do it NOW! With this beautiful baby on the way I have truly recognized the importance to improve myself physically, mentally, and spiritually.

October was the first month I have really been trying to improve myself, but today was the first day that I feel like I was doing it!

From now until the new year I am really going to be pushing myself. My hope is that for the new year I will have set good habits and be well on my way of being overall better.

Following the new year (a sort of resolution) I will add a focus to my life's little and big blessings by journaling/blogging about them. My hope is that taking time to reflect on the things I am grateful for will open the door to a happier, healthier, and more bountiful life. It has always been easy for me to forget how blessed I am, I am going to change that.

Please follow my journey and be patient with me these next two plus months as I take time to focus on my health. I will do my best to keep you all up to date.

It is the struggles is life that make you stronger. The unseen changes will make you wise. Happiness can be easily lost and hard to find, but is the thing that makes all the struggles and changes worth it.

I have had a lot of time to myself and with that a decent amount of time to think. I have realized through this time of struggle and change that I am awesome. I tend to forget this...

With this realization I am looking to myself to be my inspiration.

My Best Friend

Life is a funny thing. As one can find themselves lost and confused in where their life is going to take them. However, then the funny thing called life throws a curve ball, a slap in the face, or simply exactly what they wanted.

My life has taken me where I wanted to go... but what you want is never what it really seems. My life has turned almost completely up side down and is more confusing than ever.

Work has even gotten really complicated and I do not know where I am going to find my self in my job or even where my career will be in six months. I have started the process of writing a novel, I am hoping to have it done by the new year (this of course will not be easy). It is possible that what is happening in my life could lead to all my dreams, but only time will tell.

I know my life is a good one. I would not trade or change it for anything. My only wish is that I was:

The swing, the thud sound of metal on soft wood, the fall.

Carter wiped a thin sheen of sweat from his suntanned brow with the stained bandanna he often kept dangling from his back pocket.

It was always the same. He was carrying on the family tradition just as it had always been done, good times and bad, since time out of mind.

Always on that same hill, that same crop of trees in the field behind the house. Always under that same orange, fade to red, fade to midnight sky. Sometimes, if he was lucky and the day had been just right, the fireflies would start winking on and off like Christmas tree lights right as he was finishing up. Those were the days he liked the best.

The house had changed a lot in just the time since Carter was a boy. Since his older brother John had passed on a few years back, he had had to make some changes just to keep the place up.

Carter had taken time over the last year to fix up some of the now empty rooms in the big farmhouse and throw a new coat of paint on the outside, and tomorrow the Stephen’s Lane Boarding House would officially be open for business. He had even made up a nice, big hand painted sign for out by the drive that he was very proud of.

There wasn’t much cause for a boarding house this far out from the city and really, Carter wasn’t sure he would be very good at that sort of business, but with the new highway that just opened up he knew the traffic would get heavier and there was a good chance he would do just fine. He had put all the “quaint country charm” he could muster into the place and he knew the city people would like that. With John and his folks gone, he had had to figure out some way to keep the money coming in, so he would give it a shot.

Before, when Carter and John were boys, their folks ran the general store in town and that kept them well enough. But then momma died while she was driving up to see her sister and dad didn’t hold up so well after that. He sold the store and just stayed in all the time. It had been a long time, but Carter thought there might be a Circle K there now.

But the tradition was always important. No matter how low he was, Carter’s dad would seem to brighten up when those Friday evenings came and they would all go out to the back field. Those were special times and on nights like this one, as he stood watching the sky deepen into black and the stars come out one by one like God was poking holes in the fabric of the sky with a sewing needle, He would take it all in and remember his family and think about how much he missed them and how much better it had been.

But things were as they were and are as they are and all Carter could do was work hard, stay smart and keep the tradition, and his memories, alive.

His recollections broken, Carter went down on one knee in the tall grass of the hill and began the last part of his Friday night routine. He patted the body down with a dexterous hand, searching for anything of value it may have on it.

Carter made the sweep and found a gold wedding ring and a thin wallet full of useless, to Carter at least, credit cards and 60 dollars cash. There were also the usual pictures of children and dogs and the like, but they were of no interest. Besides, looking through a man’s memories was wrong.

Carter stood, picking the blood stained shovel up from the ground where he had laid it and pushed the body down the hill with one scuffed and dirty work boot. It rolled haphazardly, laying down a trail in the tall grass behind it and then came to rest with a soft thud among the others. He would need to come out tomorrow and throw some more lime on the pile, but that was Saturday business.

He turned, pulling out a bandanna from his pocket and wiped the blood off the shovel as he walked. When the man had come up asking for directions this morning after not seeing a soul for almost two weeks, Carter had known this would be a good night.

And it was. The fireflies came out. Carter threw the old shovel over his shoulder and smiled a little.

A very good night indeed.

I think that I have just been over thinking Life and being too hard on myself. Although, I do think that there needs to be a few changes in my life... BUT I also think that I need to take some more time and go back to the basics, ya know that things that make everyone happy and then adding a bit more of what makes me happy.

Life has been a whole lot of confusing and I have not really figure out what I am supposed to be focusing on or really even working toward. So I think it has hit a point where I simply need to stop worrying (or try to) and focus on the little things and just be happy.

So for my birthday on Friday April 5th I went to go see The Airborne Toxic Event and honestly I can say it was my favorite concert I have been to so far.

It was probably my favorite birthday I have had so far too!

I had such a blast with my friends rocking the night away. I am blessed to have such amazing people in my life and a husband who will have these adventures with me.

I do not think I will be able to top this birthday and I am not sure I want to try to. It was a night that I will remember for years to come.
