About Burst Creative

Burst Creative is a Northern Virginia web design firm founded by me, Kevin Barr. Since 2005, I’ve been working closely with individuals, non-profit organizations, and small businesses to create websites that communicate clearly, are easy to use, and a pleasure to visit.

Prior to embarking in my web design career, I lived and worked for six years in China, helping to establish a non-profit organization that works to empower the underprivileged in some of the more rugged areas of that country. I still have strong connections overseas and remain keenly interested in other languages and cultures.

When I returned from China in 2004 I settled upon web design as the primary outlet for my natural inclination to create. I enjoy organizing, designing, building, making something that previously wasn't there, or taking something that already exists and making it more beautiful. The Internet has become my medium of choice, with HTML and CSS the tools in my toolbox.

I live near Washington, DC with my beautiful wife Nadine, who keeps me laughing, and my son Tyler, who keeps me in shape with nerf gun and light saber battles.
