In its weekly omnibus of tidbits from women’s soft porn magazines, Shukan Bunshun (Nov. 12) introduces this odiferous account that originally appeared in the November issue of Amour.

When engaging in etchi, it seems many females inadvertently produce manpe, or what is rather inelegantly referred to in English as “c**t farts.” But Amour’s contributor confesses that she typically emits sound effects from the posterior aperture.

“I love to be fingered,” she writes. “And while my boyfriend is diddling me down there I’ll let loose with one from my butt. Usually that sets him off giggling hysterically, but as often as not this results in his going soft on me, and that puts a damper on getting it on. I really do need to do something about this problem!”

Black widow strikes? Marriage fraud suspect Kanae Kijima linked to six deaths

Wearing white gloves, seven or eight plain-clothes cops stormed into an apartment building in Tokyo’s Ikebukuro district one recent morning. Their destination was the 14th-floor residence of Kanae Kijima, a 34-year-old native of Hokkaido who has been arrested for marriage fraud and is under investigation for the deaths of six men, reports Shukan Post (Nov. 13).

“The officers stayed for a week, working 24 hours a day, and they took her wine-red Mercedes,” a resident of the building tells the tabloid.

News reports indicate that police are treating four of the cases, which took place in Tokyo and Chiba and Saitama prefectures, as murder. Information on the other two deaths has not yet been released.

“Sometimes she was wearing a black one-piece dress with an open front to display cleavage,” says another tenant. “But usually she didn’t wear make-up and sported worn-out jeans and t-shirts. To be honest, it is hard to believe that kind of lady was able to deceive men.”

The body of Yoshiyuki Oide, a 41-year-old company employee from Tokyo’s Chiyoda Ward, and a charcoal burner, a common tool used for committing suicide, was discovered inside a rented car in Fujimi, Saitama Prefecture on August 6. Investigators found that he was defrauded by Kijima for 5 million yen. An autopsy revealed that he had died of carbon-monoxide poisoning and that his body contained the remains of sleeping pills. Described as the victim’s fiance by police, Kijima was seen with him the day before his corpse was located.

Kenzo Ando, an 80-year-old invalid from Noda, Chiba Prefecture, died on May 15 in a house fire. Kijima had withdrawn money from his account and served as his nurse. She was seen at the residence the day before the incident. A charcoal stove was found at the scene and Ando’s system as well contained a sedative.

Circumstantial evidence also links Kijima to recycle shop manager Sadao Fukuyama, 70, whose naked corpse was found by a co-worker in his home in Matsudo, Chiba Prefecture on August 6, 2007. He had given her 74 million yen. Also described as Kijima’s fiance was 53-year-old Takao Terada. He died in his home in Ome, Tokyo in February of this year from carbon-monoxide poisoning.

Thus far, Kijima has been arrested for defrauding four other men, in their 40s and 50s and residing in various prefectures across the Kanto region, out of a total of 5.5 million yen after posing as a prospective marriage partner.

Investigators searching her computer, according to Web site Iza (Nov. 4), discovered that Kijima had bought briquettes online with the brand matching that found with Oide’s corpse.

This was not her first run-in with the law. Shukan Post reports that after going to high school in the Kushiro, Hokkaido area, Kijima moved to Tokyo to attend university. After dropping out she continued to maintain a 90,000-yen-a-month studio apartment in Meguro Ward. It was during this time, in June 2003, that she was sentenced to two and a half years in prison (suspended for five years) for bilking 10 bidders on the auction site for Yahoo! Japan out of 1.3 million yen.

Shukan Shincho (Nov. 12) describes her life as being “grotesque” and wonders just how a woman who could not be labeled a bijin (beautiful lady) succeed in manipulating so many. (A selection of photos of the heavy-set Kijima are provided so readers can judge for themselves.)

An acquaintance of Fukuyama, the manager of the recycle shop, describes him as very frugal, which meant buying discounted items and wearing simple clothing — certainly not the type to hand out large sums of money. The article describes emails from Kijima to Fukuyama as indicating that her parents had died in a plane crash and that she could not afford tuition at music school in Boston. She had told him that she could meet him once a month upon her regular return visits from the U.S., the only times when Fukuyama was ever seen to have dressed up.

The web of deceit was indicative from the beginning of the relationships. A member of the National Police Agency comments on Ando’s death: “They met online. An analysis of her computer showed how she initiated the encounter. This included sending her profile and a picture, which had been altered to look very attractive. I don’t know if she used the same picture with other guys but I would guess they must have been disappointed when seeing her in person.” (The photo appears to have been carefully cropped so as to show only the area of her body between her lips and chest.)

A member of the Chiba Prefectural Police believes, however, that her success was due to her ability to do whatever it took. “What we found after speaking with her other fraud victims was the extremes to which she would go. In providing nursing care, she would offer anything you can think of, including below-the-belt services.”

He adds that she not only bought briquettes online but aphrodisiacs for men to consume. “She would use the name Sakura Yoshikawa during the times she was deceiving men,” the investigator says. “She would change her personality, doing anything to become that character as a means of getting men to stay with her.”

Shukan Post reveals that she tried to create a princess-like aura around her life. On her blog, she used photos to boast about staying at five-star hotels and the brand-name presents she routinely receives. “The orange Hermes color brings good luck,” she gushed on her site on August 11, 2008. “This wallet is what I received for my birthday last year.” She also displayed numerous paper shop bags from various brands, which she had bought on auction sites, to enhance a look of elegance.

Even her large breasts were largely a fraud. Entertainment site Zakzak (Nov. 5) reports that she purchased eleven push-up bras between December, 2007 and March, 2008.

A person related to the investigation tells Shukan Post: “With the image she had crafted, she would target men with little experience with women and write to them ‘Please take me to a nice hotel on a date.’”

Attired in that black dress, she would then drive to the hotel inside her red Mercedes — a sakura that fooled numerous men, many of whom it would seem lost their lives as a result.

“She just became what she was destined to become,” says her grandmother, who lives in Hokkaido, “but I don’t understand…” (K.N.)

Insider reveals the secrets of winning a fuzoku femme’s favor

In its latest weekly installment of the ongoing memoirs of a veteran writer covering the pink trade, Nikkan Gendai (Nov. 5) suggests that when it comes to scribes who scribble about sex, seniority is certainly significant.

Why? While not citing his source, the writer claims that about 40 percent of female sex industry workers come from broken homes, and of these, a vast majority, perhaps over 80 percent, grew up without a father in the household.

Many, for reasons related to their unfamiliarity with males at home, grew up and had the further misfortune of gravitating to gloomy relationships with disreputable or violent partners.

“Many girls in the business have been hurt or disappointed by men in their own age group,” he explains. “So they tend to seek out older men based on their desire for a sense of security.”

Older men are also better at making conversation and are good at explaining the facts of life in ways that are easy to understand. A working girl is also more likely to feel gratitude when a man doesn’t treat her in a condescending manner.

For these reasons, the writer tells Nikkan Gendai, about one working girl out of five will bend the shop rules and accept his invitation to take a meal together.

Indeed, some of them are emotionally touched by such tender treatment.

“There have even been girls who embraced me in a hug while saying, ‘Daddy,’” he writes. “There’s a strong chance of becoming deeply intimate with such women.”

Of course, in these cases older men are cautioned not to erotically exploit the gal’s Electra complex, as this will make her feel she’s seen as a sex object. So rather than requesting it, it’s best to bide one’s time, nurture the relationship and wait for her to make the first move. (K.S.)

“I was still in my late teens and assigned to a rural sales office in the middle of nowhere,” writes the anonymous contributor in the November issue of women’s soft porn magazine Amour Urajoho, as introduced in Shukan Bunshun (Nov. 5).

“When noon came I would tell my colleagues, ‘Well I’m heading for lunch.’ But actually I made a beeline for my boyfriend’s apartment nearby. There wasn’t much time, so the second I was in the door I’d strip and we’d start balling away.

“After ‘lunching’ on my boyfriend’s member, I’d stagger back to work for the rest of the afternoon. . . Sitting at the desk my mind often wandered back to his bed performance.

“Anyway, as soon as I got off work I’d go back to his place for another jamming session. By next morning, feeling exhausted and emaciated, I’d drag myself back to the office, but by noon I’d was raring to hop back in his sack.

“These days I’d put priority on food over any guy, no matter how sexy he is. But if there were a way to turn back the clock to those wild times, I’d do it. Being young and horny makes you tough as nails.”

Hooker housewives dispense tender, loving care to homesick johns

In 1994, a company called the “Otetsudai-san Haken Center” was established in Tokyo’s Otemachi district and immediately found booming demand for its services.

The firm, relates Nikkan Gendai (Oct. 24), targeted tanshin funin salarymen, company staff assigned to jobs in Tokyo where they were not accompanied by their families.

The center would dispatch housewives, dressed in maid uniforms, to call on the residences of these temporary bachelors and for 30,000 yen dispense two hours of housework, including cleaning and laundry, which culminated in a vigorous tumble atop the bed.

Some 80 percent of the customers were so enthralled with this down-home treatment that they called the maids back for repeat performances, and in its first year of business the center pulled in 70 million yen. From its second year, it added a new service to the equation: finger-lickin’ home style cookin’ by ladies who could dish it out in more ways than one.

Surveys of satisfied customers included write-in remarks like, “Great stuff! Both the food and the okusan were yummy.”

With the tasty new service, the company really began raking it in and revenues shot past the 100 million mark.

But then the unchi hit the fan. The wives of the customers, noticing their husbands were returning home for family visits increasingly infrequently, became suspicious. Several times the wives paid surprise calls on their hubbies’ abodes and caught them flagrante delicto in the arms of a maid — upon which they went on the attack, meting out physical violence to the home-wrecking wench.

To make matters worse, the center’s three most popular employees submitted their resignations, informing their employer that they intended to marry their johns. It seems these female staff were married to men assigned abroad or long-distance truckers who were always on the road, and they craved regular male companionship.

The center’s remaining staff, alas, proved to be lousy cooks, and management was flooded with complaints over their tasteless, warmed-over microwaved cuisine — which has got to be some sort of historical first for the sex industry.

Meanwhile with the economy in sharp decline, fewer company staff were transferred to unaccompanied posts, and the demand for such services dried up. The center called it quits in 1998. (K.S.)

Bargain-basement hymens from Hangchow bleed on demand

The ingredients, read the label on the wrapper, include “non-allergenic natural albumin, a medicated inflation agent, water-soluble base and sodium carboxymethyl.”

Er, miss — are you sure sticking one of these in your vagina seems like a good idea?

Because the above, reports Shukan Post (Nov. 6), is what synthetic hymens imported from China are made from.

Under the name jinko shojomaku, these sham cherries are being imported by individual entrepreneurs and marketed on the Web for around 2,300 yen a pop.

The manufacturer claims that upon insertion, the body temperature causes one to expand across the opening of the whatchamacallit — you know, where babies come out.

As a follow-up to the insertion of a throbbing male organ and the inevitable sound effects, who knows what dialog might actually ensue.

He: “Wow, the bed sheet’s red! Wazzat — blood!?”

She (blushing coyly): “Well, actually this was the first time for me. . .”

And naturally they lived happily ever after.

According to a Web site selling these spurious goodies, it was a Kyoto-based scientist, referred to only as “Dr. K,” who developed the world’s first manually insertable synthetic hymen in 1993.

Initially the product was said to have enjoyed popularity at several home economics institutions located on the coast of the Inland Sea.

Shukan Post, being generally suspicious of practically anything manufactured in China, has no problem getting a source to warn of the potential risks of indulging in a devious defloration.

“It might be dangerous if inserted into the human body,” warn reps from not one but two organizations, one the Japan Blood Products Association and the other the Japan Food Additives Association. It seems that at least two of the above-mentioned ingredients are worded too vaguely to make clear their actual chemical composition.

“About 95 percent of the vibrators sold here are made in China,” remarks Masaaki Tanaka, president of Curious, a pioneer in the retailing of adult sex aids. “I’m not surprised to hear than anything’s being made in China. But synthetic hymens?

“Since not many Japanese men demand the girls they have sex with be virgins, I wouldn’t venture to guess how many they can sell here.” (K.S.)

The September issue of women’s soft porn mag Amour Ura Joho features a gal reminiscing over the time when she fell hook, line and sinker for a deep-sea fisherman.

“I was only able to meet him on rare occasions,” she writes in the column picked up in the latest issue of Shukan Bunshun (Oct. 29). “Sometimes my phone would ring unexpectedly, like at 3 a.m., and he’d say, ‘My ship just returned. I wanna see you right away.’”

Apparently those stories about men away at sea for prolonged times are true, because the guy was hornier than a hammerhead shark in heat.

Police crackdown on ‘girl’s bars’ no deterrent to erotic offerings

In addition to crackdowns on soaplands and orgy parties that Weekly Playboy routinely features in its pages, the magazine is now finding that ‘girl’s bars,’ which are clubs staffed by ladies serving from behind a counter, are also becoming a target of the police. Yet a low profile is not an option as many are offering excessively provocative services — nearly a requirement in today’s tough economic climate.

Yui, a 19-year-old college student, tells the tabloid about a group of cops that showed up while she was working. “It happened so fast, and the bar was asked to stop operating. Apparently the problem was that the girls were sitting next to the customers. I was shocked because I thought this place was clean. But I quickly moved over to another girl’s bar,” she giggles.

A 10-year veteran writer for the “pink” trade offers: “The girl’s bar is registered as an after hours eating-and-drinking place, much like an izakaya. Because of this, they are not allowed to offer individual hospitality to customers. The only such place for that service is a kyabakura (hostess club), which is registered as an eating-and-drinking establishment that includes socializing.”

However, having an ordinary conversation over a counter is not categorized as socializing. So far, Weekly Playboy says, no joint has been busted for simple conversation. Girl’s bar owners, therefore, feel that if the ladies are standing there is no problem.

Yet an establishment in Akasaka was busted when seven girls were seen entertaining ten customers while standing around a table. “The reason for the violation was that the staff and customers were engaged in one-on-one conversations for a long time,” explains the same pink writer. “So even if the gals are physically standing there can still be violation.”

In April, a girl’s bar in Yokohama fell victim to law enforcement for entertaining at levels well beyond that of even a standard kyabakura. “The girls were wearing only men’s dress shirts,” a regular tells Weekly Playboy. “They even undid a few buttons to showcase cleavage. Some weren’t wearing bras so nipples were visible. Plus you could take them upstairs for karaoke on the second floor.”

When asked about the variety of girl’s bar services available, one club operator says: “That Yokohama place is just the tip of the iceberg.” He adds that a few of the prime pickings on offer include the taking of upskirt photos, being served by girls in loose shirts with only pasties over their nipples, and receiving suggestive touches, such as hugging.

Registering as a kyabakura under the Law Regulating Adult Entertainment Businesses is out of the question, the same pink writer believes, because it is almost impossible to acquire a license nowadays. “Owners would rather just continue as a girl’s bar,” he explains, “and escalate the degree of services in order to survive.”

Why the need to escalate? “Well, for the past year or two the number of girl’s bars has increased exponentially,” he says, “and behind that is the decline in kyabakura, which can not operate after hours under the law. Plus the recession has caused people to move away from expensive kyabakura. That’s when the girl’s bar, where the prices are half, began to emerge.”

Adding to their appeal, the tabloid notes, is the fact that the ladies, often paid by the hour, are less aggressive with regards to sales. A girl’s bar owner comments: “In the ’80s, the kyaba-jo (hostesses) were popular because they were more casual compared to hostesses at high-end clubs in Ginza. These ladies had sales quotas and this created fierce competition among them. Customers began to desire a more casual style.”

The same owner goes on to say that typical infractions result in a mere 10-day cease of operations, a small penalty that makes the gamble worthwhile. “So they are not too worried. They are confident they can operate again soon,” he laughs.

Ancient Shinto beliefs proscribe women from entering the straw dohyo sumo ring. But what about entering a whorehouse?

But wait; why would a respectable woman want to go to a whorehouse in the first place?

Because she’s a feisty female fuzoku writer, Nikkan Gendai (Oct. 22) reports, in the latest installment of a series titled “Fuzokukai no Yami” (the dark side of the sex business).

The sex industry is always open to new ideas and suggestions. For instance, once the manager of a shop asked a reporter, “Have you got any ideas we could try out?”

“Well, the writer pondered. “How about offering ‘erection insurance’”?

Huh? Or maybe we should ask, WTF?

The writer suggested the shop guarantee not just service with a smile, but that the customer would always get a woody. That is to say, should the masseuse fail to raise the angle of the dangle to the prerequisite degree, the customer would receive a 30 percent refund off the price of entry.

Now a deal like that was almost certain to attract mobs of middle-aged and elderly males whose fancies have turned flaccid — and come to think of it, it did.

This is one reason perhaps why, when times were good, the reporters who covered the pricier soaplands (erotic bathhouses) in Yoshiwara for tabloid publications were typically treated like kings. Not only were they respectfully addressed as “sensei,” but they were served a deluxe Japanese-style snack during their visit, and upon departure were seen off at the door with a chorus of bows and thanks from the manager and staff.

But once it seems a female reporter, perhaps to do a story from the just-us-girls perspective, made an effort to enter a Yoshiwara soapland and was treated with rudeness bordering on hostility. To wit, the employee told her,”Kono ama, nanishi ni kita? Kaere!” (You hack. What did you come here for? Begone!)

It seems that since feudal times, the Yoshiwara accorded protection to the spirits of unfortunate prostitutes who had died on the job. These spirits supposedly became intensely jealous when an ordinary woman entered the brothel quarter. And her admission would also put a hex on the shop. The more beautiful the woman, the more jealous the spirits would become, or so goes the legend.

So to mollify the spirts’ sensibilities, the employee manning the door of this particular shop grabbed a handful of salt — used for ritual purification — and began flinging it at the female reporter to drive her away.

It’s a strange old Yoshiwara custom that hardly anyone knows about. You read it here, folks. (K.S.)

DPJ’s nighttime dalliances deemed dubious

Following last month’s revelations in the Mainichi Shimbun that offices of Democratic Party of Japan members spent large sums in adult entertainment clubs, weekly tabloid Flash (Oct. 20) reports on whether the establishments were indeed suitable meeting locations, as was later claimed by the politicians.

To recap, the Mainichi revealed that 5.82 million yen in taxpayers’ money was used, and designated as being for “political purposes,” between 2003 and 2007 by the offices of five senior members of the newly elected DPJ at various kyabakura and hostess bars, where female staff pour drinks and engage in conversation with male customers. The biggest spender was Satsuki Eda, presently the President of the House of Councillors, who paid 2.37 million yen at 11 bars.

At a Nishi Asakusa kyabakura favored by Eda, Flash finds the arrangement to include F-cup-chested ladies dressed in nurse uniforms or Chinese dresses. “This place has been here a while,” says one of the busty gals. “What’s the sales point? We have a cosplay day once a month. Also popular is our sexy dance shows on the stage by ladies in thongs, held twice a day.”

The girls rotate quickly, the reporter adds, noting that he collected five business cards, with each being from a top-notch lady. Charges run 20,000 yen, which includes entry for two people and one bottle. The verdict? A fine venue for entertainment, but a highly questionable location for an exchange of information. Thumbs down.

Clubs in Yushima and Ginza were also popular with the person in charge of accounting for Eda’s committee. A former mama at one of them explains: “Whenever representatives from labor unions or executives of companies comes to Tokyo from his home prefecture, Okayama, he would come to this place. But we would be their second or third stop for the night. He has an American Express “black card” so he can spend at will.”

The club, elaborately outfitted in nude oil paintings and indoor plants, charges 35,000 yen for a bottle and entry. Flash comments that it is possible to hold a meeting in such an environment, but believes that for a political party whose image was crafted under the mantra “ordinary citizens’ lives come first” the conditions are dubious.

The Minister of of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Tatsuo Kawabata, filed 1.14 million yen in claims for trips to six clubs in Akasaka and a “new-half” cabaret in Shinjuku. An official statement from his office said, “The charges have been appropriately listed under the law.”

For confirmation of appropriateness, the weekly ventures to the Shinjuku pub (40 years of service, 8,000-yen entry and floor show twice daily) — yet is turned away at the door by an employee who says, “We are very strict about disclosing information regarding our customers. Their privacy remains secure.”

A long-time secretary within the Liberal Democratic Party believes that the DPJ’s lower house victory in August is now putting the spotlight on them, but playing the money-politics game remains crucial. “Secretaries cannot ignore supporters who have voting power,” he says. “This is especially true when local policymakers and other influential individuals come to visit. However, now that funds are not as abundant as before we are taking defensive measures. We’ll rank how influential a particular person is within a constituency and determine how much we will provide with regards to hospitality. Nowadays, going to a regular grilled chicken restaurant is common.”
