<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Audi has at last revealed its most audacious road car to date. The Nuvolari is a limited-run supercar that, with its Formula 1 pedigree hybrid powertrain, active aero and carbon-heavy chassis, stands as the most potent production vehicle in the company’s history.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17002-exterior-8-16-9-2-1024x576.jpeg" alt="Audi Nuvolari" class="wp-image-135877" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17002-exterior-8-16-9-2-1024x576.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17002-exterior-8-16-9-2-300x169.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17002-exterior-8-16-9-2-768x432.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17002-exterior-8-16-9-2-1536x864.jpeg 1536w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17002-exterior-8-16-9-2-746x420.jpeg 746w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17002-exterior-8-16-9-2-640x360.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17002-exterior-8-16-9-2-681x383.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17002-exterior-8-16-9-2.jpeg 1580w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You will only be able to find 499 of them in the world when they come off the line in the first half of 2027. With over 987 horsepower on tap and a top speed of more than 217 mph, the Nuvolari is Audi’s answer to the ultra-exclusive hybrid segment.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The numbers are hard to argue with. Audi puts the Nuvolari in hypercar territory with a 0-62 mph time of 2.6 seconds and 124 mph in 6.8. That kind of performance comes from a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 mated to three electric motors. The V8 by itself makes 789 hp; add in the two front-mounted electric motors and a third between the engine and gearbox and you have the full 987. Much of this technology has been co-opted from Audi’s F1 program, which is why the V8 can rev to 10,000 rpm, something you would normally expect to see in a race engine.</p>

 [<a href="https://www.thetorquereport.com/audi-nuvolari-is-a-987-hp-hybrid-hypercar-limited-to-499-units/">See image gallery at www.thetorquereport.com</a>]

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Then there is the new quattro predictive ride all-wheel drive. Rather than simply reacting to conditions like older systems, it is constantly reading your steering, yaw rate and grip to pre-emptively manage torque and braking before you even lose traction. There are E-Hybrid, Balanced and Dynamic modes for the road, or a Track Mode if you want to fine tune the traction control.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17010-lead-1024x576.jpeg" alt="Audi Nuvolari" class="wp-image-135893" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17010-lead-1024x576.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17010-lead-300x169.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17010-lead-768x432.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17010-lead-1536x864.jpeg 1536w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17010-lead-746x420.jpeg 746w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17010-lead-640x360.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17010-lead-681x383.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17010-lead.jpeg 1580w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Weight was an issue with the hybrid hardware, so Audi has been sparing with it. They have put together a new Audi Space Frame and covered it in a carbon-fiber exterior; in fact, nearly every body panel is carbon fiber reinforced polymer using manufacturing methods straight out of F1. Active aerodynamics keep the balance in check, and the deployable rear wing has a DRS system of the F1 variety. In the right conditions you can get in excess of 880 pounds of downforce.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Braking is another area where the F1 influence shows. The new brake-by-wire system uses 10-piston calipers on 420-mm rotors up front and four-pistoners at the rear to work in tandem with regenerative braking. Audi says it can soak up 2.8 megawatts of energy, on par with a modern F1 car.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17011-project-dawn-interior-06-kl-09-1024x683.jpeg" alt="Audi Nuvolari" class="wp-image-135878" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17011-project-dawn-interior-06-kl-09-1024x683.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17011-project-dawn-interior-06-kl-09-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17011-project-dawn-interior-06-kl-09-768x512.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17011-project-dawn-interior-06-kl-09-1536x1025.jpeg 1536w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17011-project-dawn-interior-06-kl-09-630x420.jpeg 630w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17011-project-dawn-interior-06-kl-09-640x427.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17011-project-dawn-interior-06-kl-09-681x454.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Original-17011-project-dawn-interior-06-kl-09.jpeg 1580w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Step inside and you will find a cockpit that is as uncluttered as it is driver-oriented. You have physical controls at hand, anodized aluminum and light carbon-backed seats. The colouring is a nod to the Auto Union racers of the 1930s, tying the car to its heritage.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It is fitting that the supercar bears the name of Tazio Nuvolari, the Italian racing icon. Audi says the moniker suits the car’s no-nonsense approach to performance and innovation. We do not yet have a price tag, but when deliveries start in 2027 the Nuvolari will be at the very apex of the range, and with such low numbers planned, one of the rarest Audis ever made.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In a new venture to put some premium, outdoor-inspired craftsmanship to the Bronco’s off-road mettle, Ford is broadening its 2027 lineup with a new version of the SUV developed alongside Filson. The result of this partnership is the 2027 Ford Bronco Filson.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="717" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_2-1024x717.jpeg" alt="2027 Ford Bronco Filson" class="wp-image-135855" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_2-1024x717.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_2-300x210.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_2-768x538.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_2-600x420.jpeg 600w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_2-640x448.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_2-681x477.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_2.jpeg 1280w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Bronco Filson will make its way to dealers in early 2027 for those who want the sort of capability that has won over off-road purists, but with an interior and styling that is a bit more upscale and pays homage to Filson’s 130-year history.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Under the hood you will find the same 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 that powers the Raptor. And there is no need to spec out the Sasquatch Package on a Filson; it comes as standard equipment, complete with 35-inch all-terrain tires, Fox internal bypass shocks and front and rear electronic locking differentials. For tackling the trail, Ford has included Trail Turn Assist, Trail 1-Pedal Drive and seven G.O.A.T. modes, from Baja to Rock Crawl. A 12-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is also part of the package, as is a 360-degree camera.</p>

 [<a href="https://www.thetorquereport.com/2027-ford-bronco-filson-revealed-as-the-most-premium-bronco-ever/">See image gallery at www.thetorquereport.com</a>]

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">But the real story with the Bronco Filson is what you find inside. Ford touts this as the quietest cabin they have ever put in a Bronco. Between better seals, acoustic glass and aerodynamic tweaks, they say you will notice almost 20 percent less wind noise.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_9-1024x683.jpeg" alt="2027 Ford Bronco Filson" class="wp-image-135872" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_9-1024x683.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_9-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_9-768x512.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_9-630x420.jpeg 630w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_9-640x427.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_9-681x454.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_9.jpeg 1280w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The design cues are taken from Filson’s well-known gear: think quilted leather, brass trim, a leather-wrapped dash and woven fabric inserts made from the kind of tough twill you would expect from the apparel brand. There are ventilated front and heated rear seats plus an upgraded B&amp;O system.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Practicality has not been overlooked either. You get storage bags with a Filson flair built into the cabin and on the doors, or optional ones for the cargo area in water and dirt-resistant material. They can be taken out and used for your fishing or photography equipment when you are out camping. Other niceties include power running boards that come out on their own and a digital rearview mirror with a washer.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_Family_02-1024x683.jpeg" alt="2027 Ford Bronco Filson" class="wp-image-135873" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_Family_02-1024x683.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_Family_02-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_Family_02-768x512.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_Family_02-630x420.jpeg 630w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_Family_02-640x427.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_Family_02-681x454.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/New_2027_Bronco_Filson_Family_02.jpeg 1280w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">From the outside, the Filson has its own look with a distinctive grille, heritage-style painted wheel arches and tie-downs for larger items like a canoe. Color options run the gamut from Shadow Black and Oxford White to the exclusive Field Green Metallic.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Ford is also putting together a limited First Edition to mark the occasion, which will have its own Iron Sands Copper Metallic paint, serialized console plaque, storage bags and fender badging.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Pricing for the 2027 Bronco Filson is expected to be in the mid-$70,000s.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Kia has announced the pricing for the all-new 2027 Seltos. The second-generation compact SUV borrows some styling cues from the Telluride, is roomier inside and out, and packed with the latest in tech.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="568" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/24465_2027_Seltos_HEV-1024x568.jpeg" alt="2027 Kia Seltos" class="wp-image-135260" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/24465_2027_Seltos_HEV-1024x568.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/24465_2027_Seltos_HEV-300x167.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/24465_2027_Seltos_HEV-768x426.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/24465_2027_Seltos_HEV-1536x853.jpeg 1536w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/24465_2027_Seltos_HEV-757x420.jpeg 757w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/24465_2027_Seltos_HEV-640x355.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/24465_2027_Seltos_HEV-681x378.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/24465_2027_Seltos_HEV.jpeg 1580w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">All in all, including the $1,495 destination fee, the new Seltos will set you back at least $26,485.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The redesign gives the Seltos a longer wheelbase and a wider stance. Kia claims that means best-in-class passenger space, and the extra girth has done wonders for cargo room as well; you are looking at an estimated 64.2 cubic feet with the front seats in place or 27.8 behind the second row. To the eye it has a more rugged look befitting the rest of the brand’s SUVs, but step inside and you will find a more upscale cabin with refined finishes and soft-touch materials.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"> A 12.3-inch touchscreen, digital gauge cluster and 5-inch climate display are standard on every 2027 Seltos, as are wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Surround View and Blind-Spot View Monitors are available.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As for what powers it, you have a choice of two: the standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder or, if you need the performance, a 1.6-liter turbo. For 2027 Kia is rolling out the X-Line with either engine. These models stand apart with their own front and rear fascias, blacked-out accents, piano black fender flares and special wheels. The turbo versions can be had with Torque Vectoring Multi-Mode all-wheel-drive for when the going gets rough, and the X-Line gives you up to 8.1 inches of ground clearance.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">BMW has unveiled the updates to the 2027 M2 with the biggest news being the addition of a new all-wheel drive version.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="628" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642492_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--1024x628.jpeg" alt="2027 BMW M2" class="wp-image-135822" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642492_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--1024x628.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642492_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--300x184.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642492_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--768x471.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642492_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--1536x942.jpeg 1536w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642492_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--685x420.jpeg 685w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642492_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--640x393.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642492_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--681x418.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642492_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with-.jpeg 1580w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The M2 has long been one of BMW M’s most popular offerings – it was in fact the brand’s top-selling performance vehicle in 2025. With the inclusion of the rear-biased M xDrive system, BMW is looking to put more traction, stability and acceleration at your disposal.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Under the hood is the familiar twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six putting out 473 hp. But thanks to the AWD setup, the new M2 can do 0-62 mph in 3.7 seconds, three-tenths of a second faster than the rear-wheel-drive variant. BMW puts the run to 124 mph at 12.8 seconds; the top speed is electronically held at 155 mph, or 177 if you have the optional M Driver’s Package.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Don’t let the all-wheel drive fool you, though. Like the rest of the modern M line-up, the system is still very much rear-wheel biased. You will be driving on the rears alone in normal conditions, the front axle only coming into play when you need the extra grip. If you want to feel that pure rear-drive character, there is a 2WD mode in the M Setup menu that will disengage the front end entirely once you have turned off the stability control.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642581_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--1024x683.jpeg" alt="2027 BMW M2" class="wp-image-135824" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642581_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--1024x683.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642581_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--300x200.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642581_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--768x512.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642581_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--1536x1025.jpeg 1536w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642581_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--630x420.jpeg 630w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642581_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--640x427.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642581_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--681x454.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642581_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with-.jpeg 1580w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">BMW claims the M xDrive, in tandem with the Active M Differential and Dynamic Stability Control, gives you better corner-exit traction and overall agility. They have even put together some special chassis tuning for this model.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Then there is the matter of the engine. The new M2 is the first to feature BMW M Ignite technology, a pre-chamber combustion process. It is a patented system that makes for more efficient combustion and lower fuel use under hard driving.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="613" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642488_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--1024x613.jpeg" alt="2027 BMW M2" class="wp-image-135821" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642488_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--1024x613.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642488_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--300x180.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642488_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--768x460.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642488_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--1536x920.jpeg 1536w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642488_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--701x420.jpeg 701w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642488_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--640x383.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642488_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with--681x408.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90642488_highRes_the-new-bmw-m2-with-.jpeg 1580w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You will find the M2 with M xDrive mated only to the eight-speed M Steptronic with Drivelogic. Standard are the staggered 19-inch and 20-inch M alloy wheels, and for stopping power there are M Compound brakes with six-piston calipers up front. Track tires are an option. On the outside, you can now specify BMW Individual Borusan Turkish Blue, a colour being offered on an M2 for the first time.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The San Luis Potosí plant in Mexico will start churning them out in August 2026, with sales to follow later in the summer.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The 2027 Spectre Series II is here. Rolls-Royce has put its first all-electric model through the wringer to give it more range and quicker charging, but the real story is the new Black Badge version, which they are calling the most powerful car the marque has ever made.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="528" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643664_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--1024x528.jpeg" alt="2027 Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II" class="wp-image-135814" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643664_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--1024x528.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643664_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--300x155.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643664_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--768x396.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643664_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--1536x792.jpeg 1536w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643664_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--814x420.jpeg 814w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643664_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--640x330.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643664_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--681x351.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643664_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre-.jpeg 1580w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In some ways, the Spectre has been one of the most important models in the Rolls-Royce lineup since it came out in 2022, showing the world that you can have electrification without sacrificing ultra-luxury. For 2027, however, the company has chosen to refine what works rather than start from scratch.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You will find up to 390 miles of WLTP range in the standard Series II, an 18 percent step up from the old model. And if you need to top off the battery, updated powertrain calibration and battery tech mean charging is as much as 14 percent faster. On the performance front, the standard car now puts out 592 horsepower and 748 lb-ft. of torque.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643669_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--1024x576.jpeg" alt="2027 Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II" class="wp-image-135818" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643669_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--1024x576.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643669_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--300x169.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643669_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--768x432.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643669_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--1536x864.jpeg 1536w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643669_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--746x420.jpeg 746w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643669_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--640x360.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643669_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--681x383.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643669_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre-.jpeg 1580w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">But for those who want to get after it, there is the Black Badge Spectre Series II. Put it in Infinity Mode and you have 670 hp on tap; switch to Spirited Mode and torque climbs to 811 lb-ft. That is enough to do 0-60 in 4.1 seconds flat, making it by far the quickest and most potent Rolls-Royce ever built.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">From the outside you won’t miss the familiar lines, though there are some new touches. A fresh Ethereal Blue is available and the new 23-inch forged alloys have faceted surfaces that take a craftsman six hours to finish by hand. The Black Badge gets Iced Black detailing for a satin-like matte look over the brightwork, from the grille to the Spirit of Ecstasy.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643679_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--1024x576.jpeg" alt="2027 Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II" class="wp-image-135815" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643679_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--1024x576.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643679_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--300x169.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643679_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--768x432.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643679_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--1536x864.jpeg 1536w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643679_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--746x420.jpeg 746w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643679_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--640x360.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643679_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre--681x383.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643679_highRes_rolls-royce-spectre-.jpeg 1580w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Step inside and the personalization has been taken up a notch. There is a new Duality Twill fabric in the interior woven from bamboo-derived rayon as an alternative to leather; it can involve 2.6 million stitches and 25 hours of work. You will also see a new Placed Perforation leather with a moonlit cloud motif and an illuminated fascia with over 8,000 light elements. The clock has been reworked to resemble an aviation instrument and is housed in a display case with an illuminated stainless-steel Spirit of Ecstasy.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643650_highRes_rolls-royce-black-ba-1024x576.jpeg" alt="2027 Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II" class="wp-image-135812" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643650_highRes_rolls-royce-black-ba-1024x576.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643650_highRes_rolls-royce-black-ba-300x169.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643650_highRes_rolls-royce-black-ba-768x432.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643650_highRes_rolls-royce-black-ba-1536x864.jpeg 1536w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643650_highRes_rolls-royce-black-ba-746x420.jpeg 746w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643650_highRes_rolls-royce-black-ba-640x360.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643650_highRes_rolls-royce-black-ba-681x383.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/P90643650_highRes_rolls-royce-black-ba.jpeg 1580w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It seems the Spectre is second only to the Phantom when it comes to bespoke commissions – some clients have asked for more than 20 unique elements in one car. So Rolls-Royce has opened up the menu of materials and finishes for the Series II.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">All in all, the new Spectre is proof of their conviction that electric propulsion is right at home in the luxury segment. It redefines the grand touring coupe with its performance and near-limitless options. As for how much it will cost, they have not put a price on it yet.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It has been put together with an eye for motorsport by GAZOO’s Master Driver Akio Toyoda (or Morizo as he is known). The GRMN’s upgrades have been workshopped in Super Taikyu endurance racing and plenty of testing at the ‘Ring to forge a better link between driver and machine. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Toyota has made some changes under the hood to aid corner exits, upping peak torque to 302 lb-ft and focusing on mid-range grunt in the 4,000 to 4,600 rpm band. An intercooler spray and a cool-air intake duct from the 2026 GR Corolla are there to handle cooling and keep performance up.</p>

 [<a href="https://www.thetorquereport.com/2026-toyota-grmn-corolla-is-ready-for-the-track/">See image gallery at www.thetorquereport.com</a>]

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">By doing away with the rear seats, the GRMN is some 66 pounds lighter than the base model for a better power-to-weight ratio. The GRMN Corolla rides on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2s tires.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="676" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2026_Toyota_GRMN_Corolla_Gravel_023-1024x676.jpeg" alt="2026 Toyota GRMN Corolla" class="wp-image-135788" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2026_Toyota_GRMN_Corolla_Gravel_023-1024x676.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2026_Toyota_GRMN_Corolla_Gravel_023-300x198.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2026_Toyota_GRMN_Corolla_Gravel_023-768x507.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2026_Toyota_GRMN_Corolla_Gravel_023-636x420.jpeg 636w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2026_Toyota_GRMN_Corolla_Gravel_023-640x423.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2026_Toyota_GRMN_Corolla_Gravel_023-681x450.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2026_Toyota_GRMN_Corolla_Gravel_023.jpeg 1280w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Much of the car’s character is race-influenced. The aero is purpose-built, with a rear wing that has a five-step adjustment in one-degree increments, plus fender and hood ducts and front side spoilers all fine-tuned during their runs at the Nürburgring and in Super Taikyu. The suspension gets its own front and rear monotube shocks with rebound springs and bump-stops that have been carefully set up, while the EPS and 4WD programs have been overhauled for steering feel and stability at speed.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Inside there are semi-bucket sport seats of Brin Naub suede and synthetic leather, a flocked instrument panel and carbon ornament on the passenger side from Motomachi’s division. Look closely and you will see Alumite-red touches, a GRMN serial plate and a dash pad with Morizo’s signature on it.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Toyota hasn&#8217;t released the pricing and availability for the 2026 GRMN Corolla.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Over the years Mazda has offered the MX-5 Miata in several green colors and now the 2027 MX-5 Miata will follow the three previous generations with the introduction of a new Zinc Green color.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Mazda unveiled the new Zinc Green color at the Karuizawa Fan Meeting, one of the largest gatherings of MX-5s in the world, hosted in Karuizawa, Japan on May 31. Mazda says that &#8220;under bright sunlight, it reveals a vibrant and rich expression, ranging from highlights to deep shades. In lower-light conditions, it takes on a more subdued, grayish appearance with a sense of solidity and an almost matte quality.&#8221; </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Mazda has not announced when the 2027 MX-5 Miata will arrive and what other changes are planned.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Toyota has unveiled the 2027 GR86, which has received some updates, which should make it even more fun to drive.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On the technical side, Toyota’s engineers have fine-tuned how torque from the boxer engine is delivered in response to the throttle for a more linear and smooth accelerator feel. If you prefer the manual, the transmission has been revised; by widening the shifter interlock between fourth and fifth gear for a smoother shift feel.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Under the hood you will find the same naturally aspirated 2.4-liter boxer four making 228 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque. Whether you go for the base or Premium trim, there is a choice of a six-speed automatic or manual. Toyota puts the 0-60 time for the manual at 6.1 seconds.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="603" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2027_Toyota_GR86_Fuel-Fest_01-1024x603.jpeg" alt="2027 Toyota GR86" class="wp-image-135780" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2027_Toyota_GR86_Fuel-Fest_01-1024x603.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2027_Toyota_GR86_Fuel-Fest_01-300x177.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2027_Toyota_GR86_Fuel-Fest_01-768x452.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2027_Toyota_GR86_Fuel-Fest_01-1536x904.jpeg 1536w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2027_Toyota_GR86_Fuel-Fest_01-714x420.jpeg 714w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2027_Toyota_GR86_Fuel-Fest_01-640x377.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2027_Toyota_GR86_Fuel-Fest_01-681x400.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2027_Toyota_GR86_Fuel-Fest_01.jpeg 1580w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A new exterior color, Thunder, has been added to the color options. Inside, a new Cockpit Red option is available, mixing black Ultrasuede with red leather. Premium trims get a new cast iron black finish on the trim pieces.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Safety has been upped a notch as well. The stereo camera’s recognition range has been almost doubled for better detection with adaptive cruise control, and a monocular camera has been put in place to spot objects at intersections.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="531" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2027_Toyota_GR86_Premium_TruenoBlue_306-1024x531.jpeg" alt="2027 Toyota GR86" class="wp-image-135777" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2027_Toyota_GR86_Premium_TruenoBlue_306-1024x531.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2027_Toyota_GR86_Premium_TruenoBlue_306-300x156.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2027_Toyota_GR86_Premium_TruenoBlue_306-768x399.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2027_Toyota_GR86_Premium_TruenoBlue_306-1536x797.jpeg 1536w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2027_Toyota_GR86_Premium_TruenoBlue_306-809x420.jpeg 809w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2027_Toyota_GR86_Premium_TruenoBlue_306-640x332.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2027_Toyota_GR86_Premium_TruenoBlue_306-681x353.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/2027_Toyota_GR86_Premium_TruenoBlue_306.jpeg 1580w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For those who want to push the limits, the Performance Package is back. You get Brembo brakes and SACHS dampers, along with red-painted calipers.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The 2027 Toyota GR86 is slated to arrive this summer.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">General Motors had more on its mind than a new building when it opened the doors to its Pasadena design studio. For the unveiling, GM put on display something far more compelling: the GMC HUMMER X concepts. These two radical electric off-roaders are meant to give you an idea of what a midsize HUMMER of the future might be.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="536" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_Truck_R3Q-1024x536.jpeg" alt="GMC HUMMER X Concept" class="wp-image-135762" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_Truck_R3Q-1024x536.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_Truck_R3Q-300x157.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_Truck_R3Q-768x402.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_Truck_R3Q-1536x804.jpeg 1536w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_Truck_R3Q-802x420.jpeg 802w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_Truck_R3Q-640x335.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_Truck_R3Q-681x356.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_Truck_R3Q.jpeg 1580w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Judging by these concepts, the next chapter for the HUMMER brand is set to be quite experimental.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Whether in SUV or pickup form, the HUMMER X takes the notion of an electric off-roader and does something entirely different with it. Rather than just making a shrunken version of the present-day HUMMER EV, GM has come up with a modular, highly configurable platform that can suit the needs of any owner.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">GM puts “reconfigurability” at the heart of the concept. The vehicle is built to be changed, inside and out, down to the exterior panels and interior arrangement. This is made possible by a new way of manufacturing they call FLEX FAB; it eschews traditional stamping tools for small-batch, on-demand work. In short, you have a HUMMER that can be customized to a degree today’s cars don’t permit, and one that can change with you over time.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="674" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_Truck_INT_IP-1024x674.jpeg" alt="GMC HUMMER X Concept" class="wp-image-135760" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_Truck_INT_IP-1024x674.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_Truck_INT_IP-300x197.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_Truck_INT_IP-768x506.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_Truck_INT_IP-1536x1011.jpeg 1536w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_Truck_INT_IP-638x420.jpeg 638w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_Truck_INT_IP-640x421.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_Truck_INT_IP-681x448.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_Truck_INT_IP.jpeg 1580w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For all its futuristic trappings, the X is still very much a rock crawler at its core.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">GM has given it the credentials to back up the name, including:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>35- to 37-inch tires</li>

<li>Beadlock wheels and Multimatic shocks</li>

<li>Underbody protection and fender flares you can take off</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Then there is the instant torque and low center of gravity inherent to an EV layout.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The modular thinking extends to the cockpit as well. You will find stackable digital displays that can be put where you want them, be you on a technical trail or just doing some everyday driving. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="516" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_SUV_SIDE-1024x516.jpeg" alt="GMC HUMMER X Concept" class="wp-image-135759" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_SUV_SIDE-1024x516.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_SUV_SIDE-300x151.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_SUV_SIDE-768x387.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_SUV_SIDE-1536x774.jpeg 1536w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_SUV_SIDE-834x420.jpeg 834w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_SUV_SIDE-640x322.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_SUV_SIDE-681x343.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/GMC-HUMMER_HX_SUV_SIDE.jpeg 1580w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">But the real point of interest is the way the car is designed to engage with you.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">GM is targeting an audience of “builder makers,” folks who like to put their own stamp on their ride. To that end, there is the HUMMER HUB, a connected system for drivers and their off-road exploits. One of the more forward-thinking features is a scout drone to go ahead on the trail and relay terrain info back to you before it comes to rest in its dock.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Sustainability is also part of the equation. The X makes use of simplified, recyclable materials and mechanical fasteners in place of adhesives so parts can be taken apart and put to use again. Some of the interior is even fashioned from recycled automotive stock. It is a view of sustainability that goes beyond the powertrain to consider how a vehicle is put together and cared for.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Make no mistake, the HUMMER X is not going into production. GM sees it as a proving ground for everything from off-road tech to new ways of making things. But then again, these kinds of concepts have a way of seeping into future products. A smaller, more pliable electric HUMMER could well end up in the lineup down the line.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">&#8211;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It is a bigger change than you might think at first. For the first time since the ES put Lexus on the map in 1989, the sedan is going all-electric.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="581" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-lexus-es-500e-review-003-1024x581.jpeg" alt="2026 Lexus ES 500e Review" class="wp-image-135727" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-lexus-es-500e-review-003-1024x581.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-lexus-es-500e-review-003-300x170.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-lexus-es-500e-review-003-768x436.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-lexus-es-500e-review-003-1536x872.jpeg 1536w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-lexus-es-500e-review-003-740x420.jpeg 740w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-lexus-es-500e-review-003-640x363.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-lexus-es-500e-review-003-681x387.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-lexus-es-500e-review-003-1021x580.jpeg 1021w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-lexus-es-500e-review-003.jpeg 1580w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The 2026 ES 350e and 500e are a new chapter for the nameplate, but Lexus has no intention of throwing out what made the car popular to begin with. They have simply taken the tried-and-true formula of the ES – its refinement, room and comfort – and made it an EV. You could call it a natural evolution rather than a reinvention.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Take the interior for instance. Much like the <a href="https://www.thetorquereport.com/2026-lexus-es-350h-review-lexus-doubles-down-on-comfort-and-efficiency/" type="link" id="https://www.thetorquereport.com/2026-lexus-es-350h-review-lexus-doubles-down-on-comfort-and-efficiency/">hybrid</a>, the electric version has a more imposing footprint. A longer wheelbase and extra height mean there is plenty of room inside.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_031-1024x683.jpeg" alt="2026 Lexus ES 350e Review" class="wp-image-135724" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_031-1024x683.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_031-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_031-768x512.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_031-1536x1025.jpeg 1536w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_031-630x420.jpeg 630w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_031-640x427.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_031-681x454.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_031.jpeg 1580w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you opt for the Executive Package, rear seat comfort is front and center; with a reclining seat on the passenger side, an ottoman and both heat and ventilation for those in the outboard positions, it is as close to a first-class flight as you will get in a car. It is a good reminder that the ES has always been about being comfortable.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_043-1024x683.jpeg" alt="2026 Lexus ES 350e Review" class="wp-image-135725" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_043-1024x683.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_043-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_043-768x512.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_043-1536x1025.jpeg 1536w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_043-630x420.jpeg 630w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_043-640x427.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_043-681x454.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_043.jpeg 1580w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The powertrains are something else entirely.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You won’t find quickness in the front-wheel-drive ES 350e. Its single motor puts out 224 hp for acceleration that is smooth and predictable, befitting the car’s character. The ES 500e is where it gets more engaging. Dual motors and 338 horsepower give you all-wheel drive and a bit more confidence behind the wheel, though it is no performance sedan.</p>

 [<a href="https://www.thetorquereport.com/2026-lexus-es-350e-and-500e-review-a-new-electric-era-for-the-es/">See image gallery at www.thetorquereport.com</a>]

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As for range, it is competitive with other luxury EVs and more than enough for your day-to-day. Expect up to 307 miles from the 350e (if you have the smaller wheels) or about 272 miles in the 500e with the largest wheels.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">There are a couple of misses, though. Charging isn’t as rapid as some of the latest EVs can manage, capping out at 150 kW DC fast charging. And in this day and age, the lack of a one-pedal driving mode is an odd thing to leave off.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_010-1024x683.jpeg" alt="2026 Lexus ES 350e Review" class="wp-image-135752" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_010-1024x683.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_010-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_010-768x512.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_010-1536x1025.jpeg 1536w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_010-630x420.jpeg 630w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_010-640x427.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_010-681x454.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_010.jpeg 1580w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On the road the ES EV is what it should be: composed, quiet and unbothered. The suspension does an excellent job of keeping you at ease without any pretence of sportiness.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Then there is the matter of price. At $50,090, the 350e is hard to argue with. It undercuts much of the competition and is in the same ballpark as a well-optioned Tesla Model 3.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_004-1024x683.jpeg" alt="2026 Lexus ES 350e Review" class="wp-image-135753" srcset="https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_004-1024x683.jpeg 1024w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_004-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_004-768x512.jpeg 768w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_004-1536x1025.jpeg 1536w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_004-630x420.jpeg 630w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_004-640x427.jpeg 640w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_004-681x454.jpeg 681w, https://www.thetorquereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026_Lexus_ES_350e_Luxury-Executive_Wavelength_Palomino_004.jpeg 1580w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In the end, the 2026 ES 350e and 500e aren’t here to make a statement about EV tech or performance. They offer a calm, passenger-first experience that is true to form. For many, that is precisely the point.</p>
