BAYELSA PASTOR ARRESTED FOR RAPING AN 11 YEARS OLD GIRL IN HIS OFFICE

The pastor who's name is Ogbomo Jerry, was arrested for defiling an 11-year old in his office at Aduleama in Amassoma community of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of the state.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi, while parading the suspects in Yenagoa, said the pastor, who is also the Manager of Riverside Business Service, lured his victim to his office where he raped her.

the cases of rape seems to be on a rise in bayelsa state.

according to report.. Ogunjemilusi said: “the police arrested 21 year old Carpenter Emanso Davide on october 6 for luring an eight-year-old into his workshop at Igbogene Market and raping her.

“He further threatened to kill her if she tells her mother.
“Also on October 14, another suspect, Atika Eguini, lured another eight-year- old old into his house in Okriama Compound in Amassoma and had canal knowledge of her. The victim confirmed that she had been lured thrice by the same man anytime her elder sister travelled.”

On the arrested rapists, Ogunjemilusi said four suspects, Godwin Governor, 20, Kingsley Akpas, 21; Ebikewenemor Aripamone,18, and Harrison Ebibo, were arrested over the rape of a 19-year-old girl.

A new commander for Operation Delta Safe in the Niger Delta has been
appointed. He is Rear Admiral Apochi Ogabu Suleiman. He relieved Rear Admiral Joseph Osa Okojie who has now been reassigned.

Until his appointment, Rear Admiral Suleiman was the Director Development at the Defence Headquarters. Before that, he was the Flag Officer Commanding, Central Naval Command.

This change becomes necessary in order to inject new capability to contain the prevailing security threats and provide adequate much needed stability in the region.

Three suicide bombers, were intercepted by policemen,
according to reports. the incident happened at 3:50am at Jiddari Polo area of the maidugury.

report said By 3:50am today, mobile police personnel on guard duty opposite the Federal High Court, Jiddari Polo area of Maiduguri,
sighted three suspected suicide bombers (two females & a male)
running towards their sandbag.

They ordered them to a halt for questioning. In the process, one of them detonated the IED strapped to her body, killing herself and one other male accomplice.

“The other female survivor was arrested alive and subsequently
handed over to the military for further explanation and necessary
follow up actions.”

report also added that: “Police bomb disposal units also mobilized to the
scene to detonate unexploded IEDs on the bodies of the deceased
suicide bombers.

it was revealed that there were two explosions, “The second bang was as a result of the demolition of the remaining IEDs by police EOD units.”
