If you believe in dope art than you’ll appreciate these throw pillow covers decorated with geeky illustrations of electronic components and computer stuff. The fact that you can have a simple looking set up in your apartment throw these pillows in and POOF like magic you’ve trended your place out is well… awesome.

The good news is the pillows are available in a ‘Duo’ range, which is a set of two pillows which designs complete each other when placed together and for Apple techies all designs are also available as iPad sleeves.

Wow! A Giant Nintendo Coffee Table

This has to be an all time level in NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) geek-ery! Apparently, this guy named mattycyborgelt made this super-sized NES as a coffee table and entertainment system that has charging ports with an added luxury to be able to open up the back of the NES coffee table for more available storage space (check his Flickr for more pics!).

Brand new track from Kanye West – Devil In A New Dress

Kanye seems to be on a mission this Summer now headed into the Fall dropping track after track! His latest brings back that hip hop sound people fell in love with him; leaked out by him purposely on his blog KanyeUniverseCity. From listening to it it seems to be one of those interlude songs setting up for another track but it displays that old Kanye vibe from say Late Registration and College Dropout.

I have a feeling all the haters who were hating (or couldn’t understand) 808′s and Heartbreak should be more than satisfied with whatever else Kanye has cooked up for the album. Nice way to grab the haters by the throat on this one Ye!

Dolce & Gabbana Celebrates Naomi Campbell’s 25 year career

Dolce & Gabbana are celebrating the 25th anniversary of Naomi Campbell’s career with a limited edition t-shirt collection and launch event.The collection comprises 14 different designs displaying iconic images of the supermodel taken by the world’s most famous fashion photographers.

The collection of 14 shirts will go on sale exclusively at Dolce & Gabbana boutiques in New York on September 10th, followed by London, Milan Paris, Moscow, Beijing, Hong Kong, and Shanghai throughout the fall.

Now, Naomi love her or hate her is an icon. If you could be relevant in this line of work we call the high end supermodel fashion field for 25 years then that’s saying something.

Perhaps the most important part of this is proceeds from the sale of the shirts will benefit Fashion for Relief, a charity founded by Campbell to raise funds in the fashion world in times and places of need. So, if your into Naomi, D&C and shopping then you should hit the city and cop a shirt

Kanye on Twitter on August 27th announced that him and Jay-Z will be releasing a five-track album titled, “Watch The Throne.” This track according to sources is the second leak to that upcoming LP, the first track being “Power (Remix)”.

Kanye seems to be setting himself up for a HUGE Fall with all of these leaked or newly released tracks coming before his well anticipated album. Is this the year of Mr. West? You be the judge.

Keep your privacy but do us a favor, leave the rest of us the hell alone

I thought I should share my opinions on this whole “controversy” with Facebook’s new location based feature called Places. First and foremost I find it amazing that Facebook all of a sudden (say in the past couple of years) is the undisputed “privacy offender” in this new revolutionary time of social media networking.

In case you didn’t already figure out, can I say I happen to be one of the people who doesn’t mind location based networking? I use Foursquare and Gowalla and I would use Facebook’s platform but Android hasn’t obliged their users with the new feature through the app just yet. I mean what’s wrong with sharing to your friends what cool restaurant or social hang out you are visiting?

All I hear from the critics is you know, the basic scare tactics with anything that’s semi revolutionary “it’s dangerous”, “it’s evil” or “it’s an invasion of your civil rights” [laughing] but seriously it’s ridiculous people. What you must understand is none of these social media companies actually make you do anything you don’t do yourself.

I think of only one argument that may or may not have any merit in this privacy discussion and that’s the safety of people from potential predators. It’s amazing to me that we (Americans) only think about negativity in anything by saying such things. I never heard anyone mention a potential positive in the location based networking like tracking down someone whose missing– shocking right?

Bottom line is this people if you don’t like it don’t use it, no one is forcing you to be apart of something you fundamentally disagree or feel unsafe about. But I warn you if you choose to stubbornly stay trapped in the 19th and 20th centuries; us who are more open minded and receptive to innovation in the social media field will begin to leave you so far behind you will not be able to catch up especially if your a business or someone who is crafting a brand.

The DEA is Looking For Slang and Jive Talk Translators

Who said you couldn’t get a job that involved slang or jive talk? Well, according to the DEA they are in need for people who are “experts” in understanding Ebonics. But it gets better the location they have positions available for new recruits are where you ask? Atlanta of course.

They (the DEA) feels that this will be a growing need as an official said in a CNN article “African-American English is an evolving dialect and in some ways is growing in stature”.

Tell me what you guys think about this? Would you join the DEA as a Translator for Ebonics?

70 year old MMA fighter is set to kick some ass

70 year old John Williams from New Brunswick, Canada became the oldest person to ever compete in a professional MMA bout when he took on 49-year-old former pro wrestler Larry Brubaker on July 24 in Moncton. Just to think a 70 year old man competing in any sport let alone competitive fighting five or ten years ago may have seemed totally insane to picture or even simply believe.

But in this day an age 30 is the new 20 and 40 is the new 30 and so on and so on… This all ultimately proves true with retirees living longer and healthier with all the spare time in the world, so is 70 the new 60? In this case probably not.

His inspiration to get in the cage is summed up best with this quote:

I was trying to bring attention to the fact that when a person becomes a senior, society kind of pushes them out of the loop. The attitude toward them is that they’re dumb, they can’t do anything, physically they’re just vegetables, and they’re sort of shunned by society,” Williams told MMA Fighting. “I wanted to find a way to show that life isn’t over at 55 or 60 years old. You’re not useless or obsolete. We live in a use-oriented society, and you get told that enough that even you start to believe you’re useless.
