One night lying in bed. I was making a list of the things I was worrying about, then next to those things I wrote what I could do about them. What I concluded was that there were so many things that there was nothing I could to about, so why worry about them? There are sad things in the world, there are possibilities that may happen, there are issues that can pop up; but who knows if any of that will happen for sure? Even the things that you can do something about, you can’t worry about them if you do what you can, then after that- it’s up to something else, not you. You can do everything you can do, and that’s all you can do, and that’s all that matters. When you have done that, everything else is rather inconsequential. &lt;span id="lw_1288795251_0" style="cursor: hand;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="yshortcuts"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Tahoma; font-size: 10.0pt;"&gt;Procrastination&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Tahoma; font-size: 10.0pt;"&gt; is a self inflicted stress, I do it as well, but there is also the potential to do what is needed then move on.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Tahoma; font-size: 10.0pt;"&gt;The large stress of most of the things that had bothered me at the time was lifted, and it was like a wall was moved out of my way. Worrying about the ifs and butts before you know the whole story, isn’t worth it; when you know the whole story you can then act accordingly, and it all falls into place. Most of the worrying I have ever done was for naught. Whatever it was ended up being nothing even close to the horrors I had thought it would be. So much time wasted when I would have been loving the things around me, and from then on I have always done my best to not fret, and to prioritize my actions.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Tahoma; font-size: 10.0pt;"&gt;The second change of my life came at a time I most dreadfully needed it. I had thought there was no hope for me to live, that there was no reason. I hadn’t told anyone what I had tried to do- until my best friend said he was worried when I hadn’t been at school. I told him how I felt and what I had tried to do. For the first time in my life, I regretting something so much that my heart breaks when I think about it even now.&amp;nbsp;He had looked to me and said with tears in his eyes, “If something happened to you... I... don’t know if I could live without you.”&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Tahoma; font-size: 10.0pt;"&gt;I knew he meant it. How could I have been so cold to leave people so hurt if I were to leave them? I had thought no one would care how wrong I was.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Tahoma; font-size: 10.0pt;"&gt;There are always people or things that will miss you when you are gone, even if it is of natural causes. Thinking of you will vanish and all will be normal in time- is quite false. There is also so much more to live for &lt;st1:personname w:st="on"&gt;j&lt;/st1:personname&gt;ust beyond that pain. I am not saying that even with an optimism of the utmost stamina there wont be times when it hurts still, but always &lt;st1:personname w:st="on"&gt;j&lt;/st1:personname&gt;ust by that hurt is the love that is always there and always around us, no matter if its hard to see.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Tahoma; font-size: 10.0pt;"&gt;In the end it’s mostly about knowing that there is always love around, everywhere. No matter how many things seem to be going wrong or how dark the day feels, it’s there embracing you.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;/span&gt;Of those 3%, only 10% write them down.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;That means that 97% of people are being directed by the 10% of the 3% who not only have goals but bring them into physical manifestation!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;Anyone who is successful in life knows where he or she is going.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;A goal gives you direction.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;A goal is a clearly defined image that vibrates with love.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;It is, simply stated, a picture of what I want to accomplish or achieve.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;A goal with a plan is like a map with a destination, the destination being an image of where you are headed.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;Goals can be physical, like making a certain amount of money, or acquiring a particular job, or learning a new language.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;They can also be spiritual, like becoming more compassionate or kinder or more generous.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;These non-physical goals are called ideals.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;As we approach the end of a year, it’s a perfect time to evaluate and assess what we have accomplished this year.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;Did I have a goal?&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;Did I reach it? &lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;Did I complete the book I said I wanted to write, did I speak to the companies I wanted to address, did I write my proposal for the conference and was it accepted?&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;From this place of evaluation, I can now formulate my goals for the next year.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;Maybe there are goals I didn’t accomplish from last year and next year I am determined to follow through in ways I did not the previous year.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;Maybe I did accomplish my goals and am therefore ready for my next steps … bigger and more expansive accomplishments.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;This kind of self assessment is essential for building self worth and self value.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;When I am a person of integrity, following through on what I intend, it is much easier to accomplish goals that seem slightly beyond my reach.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;It builds belief in myself to complete what I say I will do.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;It aids me to understand commitment.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;The motivation to accomplish a goal comes from knowing why it is important and how I will use it.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;Who will I become in accomplishing my goals?&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;Will I become more patient, dedicated, determined?&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;These are purposes.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;Purposes and ideals are related … living a purposeful life means knowing who I am becoming in the process of accomplishing my goals.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;It means having a concept of the Self that is more than physical.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;It means knowing that who I am teaches other people and influences other people, sometimes even more than what I do.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;The last, and final element in being successful is activity.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;All of the vision boards, all of the visualization, all of the affirmations, mean little if I am just sitting around waiting for my visions to come to be.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;Directed action, with enthusiasm and expectation, makes my dreams become reality.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;Goal, Purpose, and Activity = Success.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; For example, Patricia Garfield is mentioned in the entry&amp;nbsp;&lt;i&gt;Healing and Dreams&lt;/i&gt;, but her name is not boldfaced to refer to her own entry. The same is true of Cicero in the article on Rome. One can also quarrel with certain omissions. While there are entries for authors (e.g., Chaucer), Samuel Taylor Coleridge's dream that became "Kubla Khan" is omitted. Some entries suffer from lack of depth. For example, the article&amp;nbsp;&lt;i&gt;Sleep Learning&lt;/i&gt;&amp;nbsp;states that memory shuts down so learning cannot take place in sleep but provides little explanation of this beyond references to other sources.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;"&gt;Dreams are a popular subject with at least two other recent works.&amp;nbsp;&lt;i&gt;The Encyclopedia of Dreams: Symbols and Interpretation&lt;/i&gt;, by Rosemary Ellen Guiley [&lt;i&gt;RBB&lt;/i&gt;&amp;nbsp;O 15 93], is another popular treatment that emphasizes dream interpretation.&amp;nbsp;&lt;i&gt;The Encyclopedia of Sleep and Dreaming&lt;/i&gt;, edited by Mary A. Carskadon [&lt;i&gt;RBB&lt;/i&gt;&amp;nbsp;O 15 93], is a more scholarly work with lengthy articles written by scientists. If your home, rock it out. In the car tap that foot. In the office headphones are a god send and tap that foot and get to singing along. Move your body to the music, let yourself go and feel the music flow through you. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;This is something I have forgotten to do in my own routine. So I kicked it back up. I love to watch You Tube® videos of my favorite bands. It really works; my whole body seems to change after a couple of songs. Reminds me of days gone by, achievements and gets me in a better place in minutes. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
