Hey people! If you are a football junky like Yvette and me, then of course you want to know everything about everything NFL related, including the current NFL labor situation and the potential lockout of the 2011 season. I came across this very informative article via NBC Sports "Pro Football Talk", discussing the "10 Things to Know About the Labor Situation". Read and enjoy!

The Twins Pick the WILD CARD ROUND!!!

2011-01-06T15:10:00.004-06:00

Yvonne’s Wildcard Game of the Week
No. 6 New York Jets (11-5) at No. 3 Indianapolis Colts (10-6)
In a rematch of last year’s AFC Championship Game, we match-up the tried-and-true old reliable Peyton Manning vs. the fearless but unpredictable upstart Mark Sanchez. In that memorable game (for Colts fans, at least), Peyton Manning made handy work of the Jets, displaying his signature steady, skillful quarterbacking manner that made him a perennial MVP contender.

However, this is not 2010. The Colts in this new year are not the same football machine it has been in years past, having to struggle just to make it to this wildcard game. But they are in, and that changes the playing cards.

Jets on the other hand are slightly better than last year (though sliding in productivity the last few weeks of the season). Mark Sanchez has shown flashes of brilliance, but he has also had some downright terrible games.

This game is difficult to predict. Colt and Jets as they stand now are very evenly matched. While one would be wise to NEVER count out Peyton Manning, a win for the Colts will depend heavily on the health of Joseph Addai. The Colts may also have some problems with some of the Jets weapons, namely wide receivers Santonio Holmes, Jerricho Cotchery, and my personal fav Braylon Edwards, who is quietly having one of his better seasons.

I’m going with the Jets. I rarely choose against the Colts. But judging from “Hard Knocks” to their seemingly miraculous wins throughout the season, the Jets just feel like a team of destiny.
Jets in a close one, 24-20

Yvette's Wildcard Game of the Week
No. 6 Green Bay Packers (10-6) at No. 3 Philadelphia Eagles (10-6)
The Green Bay Packers were favored by some prognosticators to be the class of the NFC. But injuries decimated a very talented team. If not for the steady play of Quarterback Aaron Rogers, the Packers would have missed this year’s playoffs.

Gradually, they got better and with the stout defense, lead by Clay Mathews and the Cornerback Extraordinaire, Charles Woodson, and sure-handed veteran wide outs on offense, Donald Driver and Greg Jennings anything can happen.

They will be facing the talented young Philadelphia Eagles. Who up until recently, looked virtually unstoppable. The speed of the young receivers, the emergence of LeSean McCoy has been the one-two punch that most teams have no counter moves for. Then add the mutli-talented, Pro Bowl, MVP Candidate, Quarterback Mike Vick to the mix. What can they do?

What the Packers will try to do is keep pressuring Mike Vick, like the Vikings and Bears were able to do successfully. The Packers were able to beat the Eagles that earlier this season by limiting those big plays the Eagles are able to get with their speed. So they can go into Lincoln Financial Field knowing they can beat the Eagles.

The Eagles will have to limit their turnovers and HAVE to keep Mike Vick off the ground. PROTECTION, PROTECTION, PROTECTION, is the name of this game. If they can do that, the will give Vick the opportunity to do his thing. And that offense is EXPLOSIVE.

Now with that said, given the explosiveness of the Eagles Offense and the toughness of the Packers Defense, this game will come down to…SPECIAL TEAMS…this is where the Eagles are better than the Packers.

The kicking game of David Ackers and the punting game of the Aussie, Sav Rocca make the Eagles arguably the best in the NFL. Then like a cherry on top, the electric Mr. DeSean Jackson’s return game, standing... waiting…intimidating… He can change a game in the blink of an eye!

I think this game will be hard fought and very close. But I choose the...
Philadelphia Eagles… 24-21.

I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THIS GAME!

The Twins Week 15 Picks!!!

2010-12-16T14:26:00.002-06:00

Yvonne's Game of the Week: Houston Texans @ Tennessee Titans
Okay, it’s time for me to face reality. The Titans are bad...real bad. Without VY at the helm, they are a simple shell of their former selves.

Still, as a tried-and-true Titans fan, I can't help but get excited about this match up. This is a great division rivalry! 2 teams, both with 5-8 records, whose only slightest, tiniest glimmer of hope for chance at a playoff spot depend upon defeating on another. And on top of that, these two organizations have a real, visceral hatred for each other.

And let us not forget about the November 26th Slug-fest between Courtland Finnegan and Andre Johnson. Should be good one.
Will Finnegan be on his best behavior? Will the Texans sweep their division rival? Will the Titans try to avenge themselves from their sorry showing on Week 12? Will the Titans give a best, last-ditch effort? Or has the team quit on Jeff Fisher?
Well, I haven't quit, I'm ready and rooting! TEN-AH-SEE! (clap, clap) TI-TANs (clap, clap)!

The question is, will the Titans be ready? Do they even have the personnel to compete?
All signs point to no. But they’ll try. Texans in a close one. Houston Texans 21 - 17

Yvette's Game of the Week - Philadelphia Eagles @ New York Giants
This is going to be good! At least I hope so.... the big, highly anticipated games have been a DUD lately.
But both teams, at 9-4 are looking to win the NFC East. They SHOULD get up for this game and this SHOULD be very entertaining.

Mike Vick had his hands full against the Cowboys last week, being roughed up pretty good. The Eagles aren't doing a great job protecting him. So this seems to a huge advantage for the Giants. With Justin Tuck and the pass rushing prowess of the Giants Defense, Vick is in for another rough one.

But Vick's ability to get the ball to his great receivers, lead by the speed of young DeSean Jackson, has been a killer all season long. Now add LeSean McCoy and the running game, it is the Giants whose hands will be full.

The Giants have a some big power backs themselves that the Eagles are going to have to also stop;
Big Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw. This 1-2 punch has been a force for teams to reckon with.
With the loss of Steve Smith for the rest of the season, Eli Manning will have to depend on the other recievers to get the run game off the ground. Because if you stop their run game, you kill the Giants.
The edge for me goes to the Philadelphia Eagles. Just too talented, too much fire power, for the Giants to handle. Philadelphia Eagles 31 - 19

The Twins Week 14 Picks!!!!

2010-12-09T13:18:00.042-06:00

Yvette’s Game of the Week: New England Patriots at Chicago Bears

Everyone is asking, “Are the Bears for real?” Well I think this game will answer that question once and for all with a win against the Patriots. It’s now Week 14, and it’s safe to say one thing: the Belichick and Brady combo are as strong as ever. The Patriots are 10-2.

Last Monday, they beat a hot Jets team into submission. And can clinch a playoff berth with a win against the Bears.

But a win against the Chicago Bears will not come easy. Tom Brady will have to face the Bears and their 3rd Ranked Defense with Mr. Do-it-all Julius Peppers and the veteran Brian Urlacher. The Patriots will have a lot on their hand.

Jay Cutler on the other hand, faces the Patriots defense that is 31st against the pass, which bolds well for the Bears.

The Bears are 2nd in the NFL against the run, so ground yards will be DIFFICULT. And for the Bears, Matt Forte (who I love) may find running against the Patriots quite difficult.

So if you weigh on hand against the other, who does the edge go to? It goes to the Chicago Bears for one reason.....DEVIN HESTER...

Devin Hester has the ability to change the complexion of a game with a single run back for a touchdown. But more valuable is his ability to give the Bears great field position. And field position will be key to winning this game. Chicago Bears, 17 - 24

Yvonne’s Game of the Week: Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys

The 4-8 Dallas Cowboys play host to their conference rival and NFC East leader, the 8-4 Philadelphia Eagles.
The Cowboy are pretty much out of play-off contention, but this game is still one to watch.
The Cowboys are 3-1 since Jason Garrett was named head coach (I bet Jerry Jones is kicking himself, not getting rid of Wade Phillips earlier in the season).
They should be feeling pretty good about themselves, especially after last week’s performance against the Colts.

However, Philly is different from Indy. Rest assured, Michael Vick will not have a 4-interception game against the Cowboys. The cowboys are ranked 28th against the pass, and Michael Vick will make sure to take full advantage of this. The Eagles ground game should be in pretty good shape as well, facing a Dallas defense that allows 107 rushing yards per game as average, ranking 15th overall.

This game will be close. I expect the Cowboys to continue their upward trend. Still, I give the game to the Eagles. Philadelphia Eagles, 34-30

The Twins Week 13 Picks!!!

2010-12-02T15:41:00.002-06:00

Yvonne’s Game of the Week: New York Jets @ New England

This matchup feels like a playoff game! Could it be, because both teams are at 9-2, and the winner of this duel takes sole possession of the AFC East? Could be. Probably. Definitely.

The Jets have been playing winning football, but have also been lucky on more than one occasion (a couple of missed field goals could easily have had them at 7-4). Patriots look like a total different team from the one that loss to the Jets in Week 2. The defense is still a bit porous, but the offense seems to be thriving without Moss, and Brady has found his stride. I give the offensive edge to the Pats, and the defensive edge to the Jets. And because they will be on their home turf, I’m choosing the Patriots, 20-27.

Yvette’s Game of the Week: Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens
D-FENSE! D-FENSE! Whoever has the best defense wins the AFC North. Bottom line. This is always a great, physical battle so I anticipate a low scoring affair.

In the first meeting Baltimore came out on top. Will the outcome be different this time? Well it depends.

The Ravens aren’t really big time scorers with Joe Flacco at the helm. BUUUT, Big Ben Roethlisberger hasn’t been lights out either, although I would say Pittsburgh has the better QB.

The Ravens are dealing with some injuries that could hamper them. Safety, Dawan Landry being hurt could turn out to be a key to this game. But Big Ben is hobbled a bit with a sprained ankle. Everyone’s hurting this time of the year.

Man! So who’s gonna win?!?!

I think the edge goes to the Ravens and their running game featuring Ray Rice, who was injured when the teams faced in Week 4. If Flacco can take care of the ball against the hard hitting James Harrison and that tough Steelers D, I will give the win to Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore Raves: 21-17

The Twins have MUCH to be Thankful for!!!

2010-11-25T10:36:00.003-06:00

Nothing is more precious than life and the time one has to share with family. And in this holiday season, it is important that we give thanks for those we love and the time we have together.

The news about Titans Offensive Coordinator, Coach Mike Heimerdinger, brings a week of nonsense with Vince Young into perspective.

October 15, 2010, we lost our father George Ellis Henley to a 17 year battle with prostate cancer. He fought this disease so hard and for so long, we almost took for granted that cancer could eventually take his life.
But it did.

Although we mourn his loss, we MOSTLY celebrate his life. And that life is something we are SO thankful for!

George Henley was born in 1932 during the Great Depression , in Birmingham, Alabama, in theJim Crow South. He went to the Air Force. And attended Lawson State Community College and Alabama A&M University, where he received a degeree in Building Contracting. He was extremely proud of his profession.

He owned his own company (G.E. Henley Construction Company) , and provide for us, and our mom until his illness no longer allowed him to do so.

We were always thankful that we had a good and strong father who worked his entire life to provide for our family, for as long as he could.

We are thankful for him, and his humor, and his ability to laugh thru adversity!

We are thankful for his love for Atlanta Braves baseball, and his love for sports, and that introduced it his twins as babies. Our mom likes to talk about her being pregnant with us, when daddy took her to watch Hank Aaron and his Homerun assault.
We are thankful he taught us to always look out for each other.

We are thankful that he taught us the strength and pride we should always have being born African-American, women and being educated, for there was a time that this would have been nearly impossible.

We are thankful that he believe that family is paramount in anyone’s journey through life.

And after 78 years on earth, we are also thankful that he no longer suffers, and is at peace in the Kingdom of God.

We are thankful for the life of George Ellis Henley. We are very thankful and grateful for us having him in our lives for as long as we did.

Be thankful for your life and all those in it! They all have a part in your journey and in your existence!
We are very thankful for you!
God Bless You and Happy Thanksgiving!

XOXOXOXO

Yvette & Yvonne

The Twins Week 12 Picks!!!

2010-11-25T00:45:00.000-06:00

Yvonne’s Game of the Week: Tennessee Titans @ Houston Texans
DRAMA!
The Tennessee Titans visit division foe Houston Texans, after a full week of turmoil, beginning with Sunday’s loss against the lowly Washington Redskins, followed by the Vince season ending thumb injury, then a controversy after the game between Jeff Fisher and Vince Young, and then a lot of other madness, and finally culminating with the sad announcement today that offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger would be leaving the team to undergo chemotherapy after a cancer diagnosis.

With the Titans at 5-5 and the Texans at 4-6, both teams need a win badly if they have any playoff hopes. A defeat may put either team out of the playoffs in the contentious AFC.

Texans have been looking rough of late, but so have the Titans, even before this recent drama.
Sounds like too much to overcome for my Titans. But here’s for holding out hope.
Tennessee Titans, 13 – 12.

Yvette: *Ahem* Just wanted to mention I was 13-3 last week…
Yvette’s Game of the Week: Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Baltimore Ravens
I’m kinda excited about this game! Both the Bucs and Ravens are 7-3
Tampa Bay is tied for 1st in the NFC South and Baltimore is tied for 1st in the AFC North.
So this show down should be interesting. And based on the NFL moving the game to a later time due to flex scheduling shows just how interesting this game has become!
The resurgence of the Buccaneers lead by young head coach Raheem Morris' is one of the big stories of the NFL this season. How are they doing it? They are rather young and inexperienced. They aren’t a potent offense and a defensive powerhouse like the Ravens. They are winning by taking care of the ball. Not making a lot of mistakes and turnovers.

The Ravens are an older and experienced team. Their strong defense and I believe a better offense and the fact that they rarely lose at home is the reason I say the Ravens will win. Baltimore Ravens 21-14

The Twins say, “We take it back!”

2010-11-24T09:21:00.000-06:00

Yvette: Remember when we said Mark Sanchez was cute as can be but can’t throw a pass to save his life? Yeah, we take it back (Yvette & Yvonne’s Ode to Mark Sanchez )
Yvonne: He’s turning out to be a star QB with a great arm and all the intangibles (mental toughness, fearlessness, leadership abilities).

Yvette: He’s still as cute as can be, though

Yvette: Remember when I said the Cowboys were overrated?
(DALLAS COWBOYS = OVERRATED! Yvette explains it ALL )
Yvonne: I remember!
Yvette: I DO NOT TAKE IT BACK! LOL!
Yvonne: That’s right! Hold your ground!
Yvette: I pick them week after week. Then FINALLY you make a move! Too little too late…
Yvonne: I never picked them.
Yvette: OVERRATED. And not going to playoffs...Cowboys...Really?

Yvonne: Yeah remember when we did that interview with Braylon Edwards’ neckbeard?(The Twins EXLCUSIVE Interview with Braylon Edwards’ Neckbeard )
Yvette: Yea. Braylon was too cute for that thing and it was bad influence.
Yvonne: We told him to get rid of the neckbeard…
Yvette: Oh yeah.
Yvonne: I miss the neckbeard.
Yvette: Yeah, We take it back! His album is good, too! *I think I’m Big Meech…Larry Hoover *

Yvonne: Wrong neckbeard, Yvette. LOL!

Yvette: Remember when I said I was through with Matt Forte…(YVETTE'S HEARTBREAK: Matt Forte disses his fiancee' )
Yvonne: Aww naw, don’t say it!
Yvette: I take it back! 1. I love the Bears and 2. He’s so fine!
Yvonne: Pardon me while I puke.
Yvette: I love you, Matt!

Yvonne: Remember when I said Mike Vick wasn’t Hot? (Yvette and Yvonne Decide: He's HOT or No He's NOT! Edition1 )

Yvette: Uh Yes….Crazy… Mike Vick = Sexual Chocolate LOL!
Yvonne: I take it back. This new-and-improved, humble Mike Vick loads more attractive to me now.
Yvette: I don’t supposed this has anything to do with his 7-3 record and his league-leading 108.7 QB rating, does it?
Yvonne: It has everything to do with it. M-V-P! M-V-P!
Yvette: Dat Boy Good!

The Twins Deduce, "Vince Young = Steve McNair Lite"

2010-11-23T13:47:00.002-06:00

Yvette: Titans fans like to romanticize the tenure of Steve McNair in Nashville. A beloved figure, a legend, always treasured and supported for his hard work, professionalism and toughness….

Yvonne: Well we remember it a little differently. Steve was BOOed just as much as Vince Young.

Yvette: I recall demands by fans for him to be replaced by Neil O’Donnell, because his passing ability gave the Titans a better chance. Yvonne and I sat in the stands as people heckled him and accused him of being the dreaded “athlete” and not a good quarterback…And that was the year the Titans went to the Super Bowl!

Yvonne: If we want to keep it real, Titans fans and media alike were constantly calling into question McNair’s intelligence, and his grasp of the game.

Yvette: The sentiments during his playing days are similar what Vince Young hears now. Same script, different cast.
Except there is one glaring exception; the quarterbacks’ REACTIONS to this criticism are far different.

Yvonne: So true. Steve was loved in the end, because no one can deny he gave it his all, every game, sacrificing his own well-being to make sure the team wins.

Yvette: Steve McNair put it all out on the field. If he was able to walk and able to breathe, then there was no doubt, he was going to play. Steve McNair was as tough as they were ever made.

Yvonne: Vince Young… let’s just say….He’s no Steve McNair. He’s Steve McNair without the leadership, maturity, mental and physical toughness…

Yvette: Steve McNair Lite. All the of ability, ½ the toughness

Yvonne: I wondered if Vince worked on a farm to help his family and attended a small historically black college instead of University of Texas, would his mindset be completely different.

Yvette: VY had a great example to follow in his hero, Steve McNair. Too bad he simply doesn’t have the same tenacity and fortitude that made Steve the respected player he was.

Yvonne: Vince Young sure makes you love and appreciate the days of No. 9…..

The Twins say, "Vince Young is INDEFENSIBLE!"

2010-11-22T11:31:00.004-06:00

Yvette: I have been a big defender of Vince Young in the last five years, and totally believed that he would come around and turn out to be a Mike Vick like talent once he matured and found out that he’s one of many talented people in the NFL.
But VY’s latest actions are indefensible.
(Tennessean article "Tennessee Titans lose game, possibly quarterback")

Yvonne: And it really is sad. Vince Young is a unique talent, with skills and instincts that most quarterbacks in the NFL simply do not have. This year he was doing rather well, which leads me to believe that it was his attitude, not his play, that lead to all of this.

Yvette: I am CERTAIN there are more parts to the Vince Young saga than people realize. I have so many questions about how Jeff Fisher has handled him over the years and his part in the implosion of their relationship. But there is a pattern of immaturity and lack of leadership qualities that makes it hard to stay on Vince’s side.

I do believe that Fisher has not been the biggest advocate of VY, to say the least.

Yvonne: I think that is crystal clear. Again, it cannot be his play, but more likely due to his attitude. We are not privy to the Titans locker room and those conversations in it, but just seeing what I see from VY, he does come off as arrogant and aloof and it makes it difficult to root for him. If that is how he is at all times, then I can see why Fisher has difficulty advocating for him.

Still, it’s difficult to believe that VY is the only talented-but-difficult QB to ever put on the pads. This situation was handled poorly by Jeff Fisher, who I suspect let too much of his ego get involved (a la the Childress situation in Minnesota).

The fact of the matter is, when given the chance, VY wins games, and that is what you want your QB to do. Period. If he didn’t do that, all of Fisher’s actions up to this point would make sense.

Yvette: Last year, should have been the first indicator that he had NO CONFIDENCE in Vince Young. The Titans went 0-6 before Fisher elected to start Vince again.

Yvonne: That was baffling, and it probably cost the Titans a payoff run; again, an ego trip on Fisher’s part.

Yvette: Another indicator was this year, with the mid-game benching against the Steelers.

Yvonne: Which, again, made no sense. Even when Vince doesn’t play particularly well, he keeps the Titans in the game. Sorry, Kerry Collins can’t do that; again, ego.

Yvette: A recent incident was the game against the Miami Dolphins, where an injured Kerry Collins was given the start over a comparatively healthier VY. The evidence was mounting…Fisher doesn’t believe in VY.

Yvonne: Look, I know how it is. I hate giving egomaniacs any opportunity to further inflate their gianormous heads. But the fact of the matter is, VY is a winning QB, with the numbers to prove it. Was his attitude a problem, who knows? But in the games that he played he ALWAYS gave the Titans and opportunity to win in the in end. And for me, as a fan, that is all that matters.

Yvette: Sunday was the latest incident further indicating Jeff Fisher didn’t believe in Vince.

Yvonne and I sat 11 rows back on the 50 yard line after Vince got hurt. I saw WITH MY ON EYES he and Randy passing the ball back and forth. He the put his helmet on and stood next to the coaches as if he was waiting to get put back in. After a discussion with a coach, his helmet came off and a he put his cap back on out of frustration. So just my observation, it was crystal clear, Vince was ready to go back in. Vince was not allowed to come into the game again.

Now whether he told Fisher he wanted to play, I think it’s just the coach saving face.

He clearly wanted to play.

Yvonne: That was clear to me too. Fisher said, he was waiting for him to say he was ready. Really? And why? Ego.

Yvette: With all that said, Vince didn’t help matters with his behavior after the game.

Yvonne: Right. I can’t defend his antics. Whether or not it was out of frustration, VY is a 5 year vet of the NFL now. He should be beyond that.

Yvette: Instead of asking the question:” Did Fisher's vendetta against Vince Young lose the game for the Titans?”, we a talking about the arrested development of Vince Young.

Yvonne: It is the coaches’ job to manage all of his players and their personality flaws and issues. And I will debate all day that Jeff Fisher mishandled Vince Young. Even, if Vince was to blame most times.

Yvette: But the latest incident of immaturity and lack of leadership, I can not defend.
Vince Young put the period at the end of his career with the Titans. He will not be back.

The Twins Week 11 Picks!

2010-11-18T14:14:00.000-06:00

Yvonne and Yvette’s Game of the week: New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles

Yvonne: Two teams, both at 6-3, fighting for the top spot in the NFC East.
New York Giants lost their last game against Dallas Cowboys with 33-20 on last Sunday (pretty badly) and looking to rebound against Philadelphia Eagles.

Yvette: Many thought the Giants are the team to beat in the NFC. After the sound whipping they got from the Cowboys, I’m no longer certain.

Yvonne: Philadelphia Eagles is on a roll, after defeating the Washington Redskins 59-28 in a soaring, record-setting game.

Yvette: And to face a very hot, high flying Eagles team lead by Mike Vick is not ideal for the Giants, but this will be a very good test of how good they really are.

Yvonne: Giants have been playing great, ranking 1st in the league in yards allowed, 4th in defense, and 3rd on Offense. However, they have yet to face a quarterback of the likes of Michael Vick. QB Michael Vick, has been the keystone for the Eagles' success, and is looking to maintain the same form against New York Giants.

Yvette: The Eagles can play tough defense and will give Eli Manning all he can handle. But I think there are some yards to be had, particularly in the running game with Big Brandon Jacobs. As long as he takes care of the ball, they will be OK.

Yvonne: Vick & Co. will be too much for the Giants. Philadelphia Eagles 31-21

Yvette: I agree. The Eagles are getting hot at the right time. And Mike Vick is a force, but it will be close. Philadelphia 28 – 21.

The Twins say the Randy Moss pick up PERFECT for the Titans!

2010-11-11T13:36:00.002-06:00

Yvette: The Randy Moss pick up for the Titans was the biggest acquisition ever made by the Tennessee Titans.

Yvonne: And quite uncharacteristic for the Titans. Year after Year, Titans have been waiting for a big play receiver. Well, they have one in Moss.

Yvette: The Titans are not really known for making big name pick ups even when the need for their services is clearly there. That WR need has been there for a while. It has irked me to no end! Really solid, above-average wide receivers have been available (Anquan Boldin, hello?), and Titans kept hanging on to their par-at-best players.

Yvonne: So what happened? Why did the Titans decide to pick up the Problem Child of the NFL?!?

1. The Titans are unexpectedly leading the AFC South. Very few thought the Titans would be better than 8-8. And certainly that as long as Peyton Manning was playing, Indianapolis would be the team on top. Many prognosticators thought this was the 'Year of the Texans'. At 5-3, Moss could be a piece of the puzzle that gets the Titans to the playoffs.

Yvette: 2. The Titans have nothing to lose. The Titans were the only team to try to attain Moss’ services, meaning, there isn’t a demand for him. So he may be out to prove something. Is he worth the next big contract?. Show and Prove. But if he doesn’t, let him go. And if he signs elsewhere after the season, the Titans get a draft pick! Sounds like a win-win to me. So what if he’s an AZZ HOLE or “Toxic”. Just let him go.

Yvonne: 3. Kenny Britt is injured. Although Britt hasn’t been that reliable in the past, this season he has come into his own. The Titans were beginning to depend on his big play ability. With his injury, they may not lose anything with Moss in the mix.

Yvette: 4. Chris Johnson’s production. Teams have figured how to successfully stop CJ. The pass has been something that was the weakest part of the Titans offense. This season, Vince Young and his young receivers have clicked! They have had some really good games. Now that defenses will have to account for Moss this may allow the offense to open up. Pick your poison, CJ or Moss?

Yvonne: 5. It’s Randy Moss! WHEN does a team at Bye week, with an injured star, on the cusp of doing something big, gets the chance to get a Future Hall of Famer? An old Randy Moss is still better than a Justin Gage, Nate Washing and Kenny Britt any day of the week. It was a too good to pass up, even if it doesn’t work out.

Yvette: I know there are some who really think this won’t work out for the Titans. What makes them different from Minnesota Vikings and the New England Patriots? I don’t know. But something tells me Randy Moss will enjoy being in Nashville and playing for the Titans.

Yvonne: Right. It’s a solid organization, that’s successful and didn’t get a lot of media attention before now. Jeff Fisher and his staff seems to related to players and seem able to get the best out of each talent on that team. Furthermore, I for one don’t think Moss is really all that bad. He’s always been upfront and honest about his feelings. And he makes it known. He’s never towed the company line, if he didn’t believe it whole-heartedly. I respect that.

Yvette: But at this point, I’m hoping that he will realize, there aren’t going to be too many opportunities like this for him. If he wants a big pay day, he has to show that he is THE Randy Moss.
So I say if cant play for the Tennessee Titans, Randy Moss needs to retire.

The Twins Week 10 Picks!

2010-11-11T13:20:00.000-06:00

Yvonne’s Game of the Week – Philadelphia Eagles @ Washington Redskins

Nothing beats Monday night Football! And this match-up will be intriguing. This is a tale of two teams on two different trajectories; the Eagles going up, the Redskins going down. The rested Washington Redskins, despite McNabb’s call to “move on”, are still reeling from their loss to the Detroit Lions and Coach Shannahan’s questionable 4th Quarter QB change and baffling series of explanations thereafter.

The Eagles, on the other hand are ready to avenge their Week 4 loss; Mike Vick was knocked out of the game early, and his absence was immediately felt. Michael Vick looked incredible last week against the Indianapolis Colts, easily his best game of the season (if not, ever) thus far.

The Redskins will need the same kind of physical play from their defense as in week 4. They will also need to rely heavily on their run game, since their air game appears to be sputtering.

The Eagles will need to match the Redskins physicality. Their run defense in Week 4 was missing, but has since improved. And of course, Mike Vick will need to continue his fantastic play.

Overall, The Eagles just appear to be a team on the rise, the Redskins are not. Philadelphia Eagles, 24-10

Yvette’s Game of the Week - New England Patriots @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Sunday Night Football. Two 6-2 teams. Both are arguably the best of the AFC…
Well, I happen to believe that the New England Patriots aren’t as good as people tout them to be. And Sunday evening, the Pittsburgh Steelers will prove it.
With an Un-Patriot-like loss to the Cleveland Browns last week, I fully expect them to rebound.
However, facing the toughness of the Pittsburgh defense is not what you want, when you are trying to get over a tough loss.

Although the Patriots have their newest weapon, Peyton Hillis performing out of his mind, The Steelers will take away the run, leaving Tom Brady to will the Patriots to Victory. But the sack-happy Steelers will make Brady’s job very difficult. Some teams have had some success passing against the Steelers; I don’t expect the Patriots to be one of them.

Pittsburgh on the other hand has the tough Big Ben Roethlisberger at the helm and I not certain they have an answer for him.

I just believe that the Steelers are the better team. Pittsburgh Steelers 28-14

Yvette & Yvonne: NFL Drama = Real Housewives of Atlanta!!!

2010-11-05T14:35:00.003-05:00

Yvonne: There has been so much drama in the NFL this year. What's going on!?!?!

Yvette: So half way through the season we have:
- The neverending Brett Favre saga....

- The Vincent Jackson Stand off
- Revis Island
- The Mike Vick QB Controversay
- The McNabb benching fiasco
- The Randy Moss release, sign and waived, sign again.
- The Demise of the Cowboys

Yvonne: Don't you love it! It's like watching the Real Housewifes of Atlanta!

Yvette: I would say, the Nene Leakes of the NFL is definitely Chad Ochocinco!
LOUD and unclassy but think highly of themselves and we love them for it! LOL!

Yvonne: And the NFL's Dwight is Terrell Owens! LOL!
Yvette: Or DaWrong, as Nene calls him, LOL

Yvonne: I'm just waiting on the fight with Chad. It's coming...I just know it! LOL!

Yvette: The Phaedra Parks and Ex-con husband, Apollo would be.......Mike Vick and Andy Reid LOL!!

Its wrong, I know! LOL!

Yvonne: The NY Jets =Shereé Whitfield. Hyped themselves up to believe they are great! LOL!

Everyone else may not have seen how good the Jets would be, but they are doing it, somehow, some way…

Yvette: Sounds like She by Sheree'…LOL!

Yvonne: Now that ended up being a disaster, doesn’t bode well for the Jets….

Yvette: "Who ever heard of a fashion show, with no fashion?" 0_0 LOL!!!

Yvonne: I would say, Brett Favre is the Kim Zolciak of the bunch! LOL!!
Yvette: YES!....looks older than he is, exposing too much of themselves, loves drama, makes drama.
HA!

Yvette: And Randy Moss is Cynthia Bailey. Attractive but won't stay committed! LOL!!

Yvonne: Aww, don’t say that, my Titans need him to stay committed….

Yvette: I say Revis is You know the friend that carries purses and wears lip gloss and in the middle of the drama. Trying HARD to be in the mix, but just isnt...

Yvonne: Lawrence…his name is Lawrence…

Yvette: Oh! LOL!

Yvonne: I would say Vincent Jackson is the Lisa Wu-Hartwell of the NFL....
Yvette: RIGHT! He ain’t on the show! LOL!

Yvonne: Donavan McNabb is Kandi Burruss. Talented and successful in the past. Trying to stay classy but really could get justifiably ghetto on Mike Shanahan! LOL!

Yvette: He should get red swoop bangs, LOL!

Yvonne: WRONG! LOL! Matches his jersey, though! LOL!

The Twins Week 9 Picks!

2010-11-05T13:07:00.005-05:00

Yvonne's Game of the Week - Indianapolis Colts at Philadelphia Eagles

Indianapolis Colts are visiting the Philadelphia Eagles, who should be well-rested after their Bye week. This game will be show of two star QBs with two different QB styles.
Indianapolis is trying to extend is 5-2 record and stay atop the AFC South. Meanwhile the 4-3 Eagles are in 2nd place in the NFC East.
This should be pretty interesting. The Colts have been on a winning streak of late, but they have also shown some kinks that could be exploited.
Will Vick be healthy and able to play his style of football?
Honestly, I am a Mike Vick fan, and I am rooting for him to do well. But Vick's mobile-quarterbacking abilities works well in the NFC, but not so much in the AFC, where defensive ends are fast, and Dwight Freeney is one of the fastest. Additionally, I am firm in my view that any AFC South team (including the Jaguars) is better than most NFC teams. No disrespect.

Given that, I'm of course going with the Colts, 24-14.

Yvette's Game of the Week -Dallas Cowboy at Green Bay Packers

How low can they go?!?! This is my game of the week for the wrong reasons. I am curious to see what the Cowboys can do to salvage their season. Will they fight back and win against an injury riddled Green Bay, or with they lay down and wish for better days? I say the latter.
NOTHING about the Cowboys screams 'FIGHT'. Look at their 1-6 record. It speaks volumes about their mental toughness.

The Packers however, with all the injuries to key players could have an excuse for under perfoming. Instead, they are the polar opposites. They are staying afloat and getting healthy leading the NFC North with a 5-3 records.

With the injuries to Al Harris, Atari Bigby and now add cornerback Pat Lee, the Cowboys receivers could attempt to taken advantage of the weak Green Bay secondary. But unfortunately for them, the key Cowboy injury, Tony Romo, greatly hurts a team already in disarry.
Could you have imagined the Cowboys being 1-7?!?!?

Green Bay now adds Donald Driver to the injury list. He is out for the game on Sunday. With a running game hampered by injuries points are going to be hard to come.
But unlike the Cowboys, Green Bay is the tough team and toughness will prevail.

I pick Green Bay, 31-24

Yvonne & Yvette’s Game of the Week: Green Bay Packers at New York Jets

Yvette: I find this game really interesting for some reason. I am anxious to see the how my Super Bowl pick Packers will fair against a good AFC team. I find the Jets team very endearing and I see the charm. And so far, they are living up to their hype somewhat.

Yvonne: I've been on the Jets bandwagon from the beginning. They just have a really good young team.
Yvette: With all the injuries to the Packers how will they be? For some reason, I believe they will win this game. I dont know I just love this team. They are my superbowl pick from the NFC

Yvonne: I beg to differ. I believe the Jets will pull this out because the Packers just have too many injuries to compete.

The Twins Week 6 Picks!!!

2010-10-15T15:16:00.004-05:00

Yvette & Yvonne Game of the Week: Dallas Cowboys @ Minnesota Vikings

Yvette: An unexpected turn of events. By all accounts the Cowboys or Vikings were Superbowl favorites before this season began. But here we are at Week 6 and they both are 1-4.

Yvonne: The Vikings at 1-4 is a surprise, the Cowboys at 1-4 is baffling. Neither can afford another loss.

Yvette: Well, someone has to lose.

Yvonne: Right, but who? That's the question.

Yvette: Both of these teams are difficult to figure out. Both I think are better than their record indicates. Both teams have great defenses. Both teams have great running backs.
Vikings are an engima because of one man, BRETT FAVRE. Depending on whether he plays like an old man or a legend, so goes the team.

Yvonne: With Favre, it won't be an either or scenario. He'll play brilliantly in one quarter, sloppily the next quarter. The addition of Randy Moss should help his consistency, as Moss can make things happen with seeming uncatchable throws.

Yvette: Talent-wise, the Cowboys are more loaded. And usually whenever their backs are against the wall they have a way to save themselves from total and complete embarassement for at least another week.
So if I have to choose between the under-achievers, I would chose the Cowboys. 31-21

Yvonne: I'll take the Cowboys as well. 31-28

Yvonne & Yvette's game of the week - Minnesota Vikings @ New York Jets - New York Jets
Yvonne: Who doesn't love Monday night games?! Two storylines to explore here. Obviously, the surprise return of Randy Moss to Minnesota has gotten the football world all abuzz.

Yvette: Favre has been pushing for this deal for a while. Does that mean Farve is doubting his current choices at Wide Receiver? makes one wonder...

Yvonne: Yes. That's exactly what it means. Speaking of the Favre, the second story is the grizzled veteran QB vs. the young upstart QB. Will the old gunslinger show the youngster a thing or too? Or will the sharp-looking Sanchez continue to dazzle?

Yvette: Favre manages to show up on Monday nights. But times he gets over zealous with wild passes. I'm bracing myself for a lot of interceptions from him. BUT somethng tells me, both Randy and Brett have something cooking....
Vikings 24-17
Yvonne: I'll admit it, I'm becoming a Jets Bandwagoner.

Yvette and Yvonne Decide: He's HOT or No He's NOT! Edition1

2010-10-01T15:47:00.017-05:00

MICHAEL VICK
Philadelphia Eagles, Quarterback #7

Yvette: He's HOT! Super HOT! Even though his past is checkered, doesnt change the fact that he's a good looking man. And he can wear a suit! He is very sexy. Smile, Skin, cute... Definitely HOT!

Yvonne: No He's NOT! I really thought Mike Vick was handsome when he first joined the league. Chocolaty and clean cut. Then he changed his look - cornrows (eww!). By the time the dog fighting thingy happened, the thrill was already gone. I’m rooting for him, though. I still love you, Mike!

So do you agree with Yvonne or Yvette? Hot or NOT?

------------------------------------------

MARION BARBER

Dallas Cowboys, Running Back #24

Yvette: He's HOT! There's just something about Marion Barber that really sexy to me. I think its the Strong Silent thing he has going. Or it may be he's fierce take no prisoners running style. But Marion the Barbarian is definitely HOT!

Yvonne: No He's NOT! I know you say differently Yvette, but I’m convinced that his eyebrows are arched. That’s just a no-no as far as I’m concerned. Show me some baby pictures! I need to see the 3 year old toddler Marion Barber with perfectly manicured eyebrows before I can reconsider.

Yvette: WHAT?!?!?!?! Are you looking at him?!?! He is so fine... He can't help he has a natural perfect arch! LOL!!

Is MBIII HOT or NOT?

------------------------------------------
MILES AUSTIN
Dallas Cowboys, Wide Receiver #19

Yvette: No He's NOT! He was kinda cute in a frat boy way before, but as she did with Reggie Bush, Kim Kardashian sapped the sexy right out of him....I dunno....

Yvonne: No He's NOT! He’s attractive, yes, and supposedly that affair is over. I agree, anyone who associates with the attention-seeking walking comedy know as the Kardashian Klan, losses all their sexy, and it’s a long, slow crawl to get it back. Maybe we are both wrong. What do YOU think?

Maybe we are both wrong. What do YOU think?

------------------------------------------

RAY LEWIS

Baltimore Ravens, Line Backer #52

Yvette: He's HOT!!! I'm warning you now, Yvonne...BETTA NOBODY SAY NOTHING BAD ABOUT RAY-RAY!!! Im sorry he's sexy. PERIOD. Perfect. He's HOT...DUH?!?!

Yvonne: No He's NOT!! I admire his playing ability and his fire for the game. And it’s not that he is not handsome, it’s just, sometimes when he talks, I get that “old country preacher” vibe, not exactly sexy.

Yvette: It's official...You are a Hater.....

Who's Right and Who's Wrong? Is Ray-Ray Hot or Is He Not?

The Twins Week 4 Picks

2010-10-01T15:12:00.003-05:00

Yvonne’s Game of the Week - Baltimore Ravens @ Pittsburgh Steelers

2 defensive juggernauts, Bitter divisional rivals, this is the kind of game I love!
A win by Pittsburg will solidify them as the team to beat in the AFC. A win by the Ravens will keep them in the divisional race, and keep the rest of the AFC on their heels.
In short, the AFC championship may eventually go to the Steelers, but they will have to come through Baltimore to get it. Not an easy feat.
If history prevails, this will be a low scoring game with very little offense . I expect the Steelers to win this one, as their offense has been more steady, even without Ben Roethlisberger.
However, the Ravens are more than capable of winning this game, as long as they take care of the ball, and play mistake-free.
I’m looking forward to this one! I’m going with the Steelers , 10-14

Yvette’s Game of the Week - Washington Redskin @ Philadelphia Eagles

After 11 years, 5 NFC Championships and a Super Bowl, Donovan McNabb returns to Philadelphia to face his old team and coach Andy Reid. The Eagles are finding themselves rejuvenated by the dynamic Michael Vick and the young receivers, like DeSean Jackson. While McNabb's Redskins are older and more experienced they have some glaring holes, specifically in the run game. The Eagle's defense has been as tough as ever. Emotionally, I would love NOTHING MORE than for McNabb to go into Lincoln field and go completely BEZERK! I would love him to make them pay, given the lack of love and appreciation he had been shown in Philly over the years. But the young talent on the Eagles and the defense will make this very difficult. So I'm going with the Eagles 21-17

The Twins Week 3 Recap

2010-09-29T10:41:00.003-05:00

Week 3 picks Results
Yvonne 8-8
Yvette 9-7

Yvette: FINALLY! I win a week!
Yvonne: Just barely….
Yvette: You’re right.. A lot of teams just barely won or lost, but some teams got massive beat downs!
Yvonne: So lets talk about a few games of note, shall we…

Tennessee Titans vs. New YorkGiants

Yvette: This was Vince Young’s redemption game and he played a solidly in response to last weeks benching. The defense played a spectacular game. Chris Johnson remained true to form with his 125 rushing yards. The Giants looked to be in total disarry. Eli Manning couldn’t get anything done. The Giants made mistake after mistake and the Titans took full advantage of it
Yvonne: I can't tell just yet if the Titans are just that good, or if the Giants are just that bad. Titans pieces appear to be coming together. The Giants, on the other hand look like they may be in store for a very long season. We shall see.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Houston Texans

Yvette: Who woke up the Cowboys! The Cowboys played well against their inner state rivals. The Texans looked like the team to beat in the AFC South in Week 1 & 2.
Yvonne: I was disappointed, I reallty did want to see a knock-down, drag-out fight to the finish between the Texas teams. However, Dallas' pride was definitely on the line with this game, and it showed with their solid play.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Yvette: The Steelers continued their defensive domination with the complete destruction of the Bucs. With Charlie Batch at the helm, they are 3-0..what do they do with Big Ben Rothlesburger comes back?
Yvonne: They'll be even more dominant. But let's be honest, the Bucs are Terrible with a capital T, and the Steelers made them look worse. They were simply no match for Pittsburg.

Green Bay Packers @ Chicago Bears

Yvette: WOW! What a game! As I expected, this was a game about defense and the play of the young QBs , Jay Cutler and Aaron Rogers. I knew this would be a hard fought game. What I didn’t expect is for the Bears to come out on top. Bears wore their throwback uniforms and brought back the old school Monsters of the Midway Defense with them!
With the return of punt returner extraordinaire Devin Hester and Block punts by Julius Peppers, the Bears dominated on Special Teams play.
Green Bay seemed to really miss the consistent run game of Ryan Grant. And their youth at Defense really hindered them. While, I still think Green Bay will end up the top o NFC North, keep your eyes on the Chicago Bears!
Yvonne: What? No mention of Matt Forte'? He he had a pretty good game! Wow, you're officially a Matt Forte' Hater!

Detroit Lions @ Minnesota Vikings

Yvette: There is nothing like the Detroit Lions to boost a teams confidence. It wasn’t looking pretty early for Brett Favre with two Interceptions. I thought they were headed to 0-3. But the Vikings bounced back and beat the lowly Lions, thanks to power rushing from Adrian Peterson. Maybe Favre won’t retire mid-season? I’m still taking bets….
Yvonne: Poor Lions... It almost looked like they had a chance. But the brightside is every game, the look less and less terrible...

Atlanta Falcons @ New Orleans Saints

Yvette: Who Dat? I don’t know… There looks to be a chink in the Saints armor. After the last minute win against the 49ers, I figured, the Falcons would prove to be a tough opponent. And they didnt disappoint wining overtime with a field goal!
Yvonne: Are the Saints suffering from a Super Bowl Hangerover? Yes. But I also think the value of Reggie Bush is now appreciated. His absence as a weapon in that offense was felt.

Washington Redskins @ St. Louis Rams

Yvette: YIKES! The Redskins played horribly against arguable the worst team in the NFC! Donovan McNabb played poorly. Nothing was happening with the running game. The Skins sputtered offensively.
Yvonne: This was a game the Redskins should have won. Hopefully the loss won't come back to haunt them come playoffs time. Up next for the Redskins...Donovan faces the Eagles.... in Philly...This won't be pretty...

NY Jets @ Miami Dolphins

Yvette: On behalf of Yvonne and I, I owe Mark Sanchez an apology. Two consecutive 3 Touchdown games! How impressive was that?! Braylon Edwards was benched as “punishment” for his DWI.. But Edwards game back an made som key catches. Without his neckbeard.

Yvonne: LOL! Rest in Peace, Neckbeard!

The Twins Love Football Week 3 Picks!!

2010-09-23T23:47:00.078-05:00

Yvonne's Game of the Week - Dallas Cowboys @ Houston Texans
There's going to be a showdown in Texas! After years of playing second fiddle to the superstar Cowboys, the Texans find themselves at first place in the super-tough AFC South, and are ready to show the world that they are indeed the best football team in the state of Texas! The Cowboys are ready to redeem themselves from their underachieving 0-2 start.

Look for the Texans defense to stifle the Cowboys offense, lots of 3 and outs, though I expect the Cowboys to play their best game thus far this Sunday. This should be a good one! I choose the Texans.
Texans (14-28)

Yvette's Game of the Week - Green Bay Packers @ Chicago Bears
MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL. This is the classic rivalry in the spotlight folks! They are both 2-0 and someone has to lose in this Division. I think the Bears have a lot of momentum, and they are at home so this will be a hard fought game as usual. The teams are surprisingly evenly matched. Jay Cutler seems to be on a roll with the utility back, Matt Forte back to form. And of course, the Bear defense with the addition of Julius Peppers was impressive in their win against Dallas. Green Bay's Aaron Rogers hasn't been as great as Culter, but solid. He has quality veteran receivers that makes him extremely dangerous.

But when all is said and done, I believe the Packers will come out on top. 'Why' you ask? Packers tenacious Defense, lead by Clay Matthews. So with everything being even, I believe the better defense will win the game.

The Twins Week 2 Recap

2010-09-23T10:25:00.014-05:00

Week 2 Picks Results
Yvonne: 10-6
Yvette: 7-9

Yvette Hasn’t been my week. First I break up with my secret boyfriend, Matt Forte, the Titans lose and now this… Once again Yvonne beat me with her picks!!
Yvonne: 10-6 Once again...you are in some serious trouble this season, Yvette..

Yvette: Some NFL teams are also in some serious TROUBLE with a pop-o-matic bubble….

Dallas Cowboys

Yvette: The Dallas Cowboys are 0-2 with yet another slow start this season. Their lost to the Chicago Bears revealed a team in disarray. Can anyone explain the enigma that is the Cowboys? The have nothing but talent. Lacking leadership, perhaps? (see Cowboys = OVERRATED!)

Minnesota Vikings
Yvonne: The Minnesota Vikings are also 0-2. Their loss against the Miami Dolphins shows that the issues in Week 1 were no fluke. They have real problems. The only offense working is Adrian Peterson. Brett Farve is clearly missing Sidney Rice. He cant seem to get in sync with Percy Harvin and the other wideouts. Thank goodness they have a strong defense. They would look much worse.

Yvonne: And some teams had Quarterback issues....

Philadelphia Eagles

Yvonne: Michael Vick does it AGAIN. He made it too hard for Andy Reid to deny, he's the better man for the job. Vick will be starting until further notice. This is not fair to Kolb, as he was named starter earlier this week. But Frankly, Vick should have been the starting QB from day one. (see 3 Reasons Vick Should Start)

Tennessee Titans
Yvette: Jeff Fisher’s benching of Vince Young in the Titans loss to the Steelers was TERRIBLE! Even though he quickly announced that Vince is the Titans starter, this will cause nothing but more second guessing and more questioning of VY and his abilities to lead the team. This is unfortunate given he had made some real improvements and played a great game the week before. No matter how you cut it, it wasnt a good move. (see Fishers Benching of Vince Young..)

Pittsburgh Steelers
Yvonne: The Steelers are down to their 3rd string, with the Dennis Dixon injury. The brought back Leftwich and Charlie Batch will be the starter on Week3. But if any team will be OK with their 3rd string, its the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Yvette: Teams are Status Quo. Good as usual..

Pittsburgh Steelers

Speaking of the Steelers again, they are the dominate defense they alway are. They gave a smash mouth beating to the Tennessee Titans. Vince Young got benched. Chris Johnson stopped running. Even with a 3rd string QB, they can dominate a game. They look like they will be hard to beat! Especially if they can get decent play out of Batch or Leftwich.

Indianapolis Colts
Yvonne: After Week 1, everyone was questioning whether the Colts domination of the AFC has ended... Well, Peyton had to remind everyone who he was with a complete beat down he put on his younger Brother, Eli. The Giants couldn’t get anything going with the Colts. While they may not be dominating like they had been in the past, they are still one of the best in the AFC.

Green Bay Packers
Yvette: Green Bay Packers are a good team folks.. With several key injuries to their secondary and to running back Ryan Grant, they still show that they have the goods to be the class of the NFC. Aaron Rogers is showing that he is definitely a top teir QB and their defense is still dominating.

Yvonne: And some teams are definitely on the move!

Houston Texans
Yvonne: The Houston Texans are for real, people. For the past few years they have never been get over the hump. Always right at the cusp of being really good. Well it looks like they have gotten it right this year. They have all the pieces in order, a tough defense with Mario Williams and very good wide out play for Matt Schaub. They are going to be the team to beat in the AFC.

Chicago Bears

Yvette: Is it true? The Chicago Bears beat the Cowboys? Yes, they definitely did that! Jay Cutler is a much improved QB than a year ago. Matt Forte is preforming well and the defense is still very solid. Although are some holes int he team, they are defintely on the come up in the NFC North!

The Twins EXLCUSIVE Interview with Braylon Edwards’ Neckbeard

2010-09-21T11:27:00.003-05:00

Yvette & Yvonne sit down with the Beard of Jets’ Wide Receiver, Braylon Edwards for an exclusive interview, after his Tuesday morning DWI arrest.

Yvonne: Thank you for joining “The Twins Love Football’ for this exclusive interview, Neckbeard

Neckbeard: Thank you for having me. You know B-Easy didn’t want me to do it. But I’m like, "Man, I’m my own person." Ya know? I do what I want.

Yvette: Well we are certainly glad you are here with us. Last night was pretty rough. Can you give us any details about what happened?

Neckbeard: Well, basically we were at this benefit.. Bray had too many drinks and I was like "man, slow down" And he was like, "Leave me alone". I was like, “I can’t… I’m on your face". So yeah. He wasn’t listening.

Yvonne: You are definitely on his face. A number of his teammates were at the benefit. Why didn’t anyone try to stop him from driving?

Neckbeard: I don’t know. I was with Bray like the whole time. And nobody said nothing.

Yvette: Seems really irresponsible. Would you say you are a bad influence on him?

Neckbeard: How am I a bad influence? You can’t tell a grown man what to do is how I see it, you know. What can I do? I’m a beard.

Yvette: That’s true. Do you think the DWI arrest will affect his play on the field?

Neckbeard: Nahh…B is a professional. He will be fine.

Yvonne: So how do you feel about the criticism that he should get rid of you?

Neckbeard: Honestly, it hurts. He hears it all the time. Everybody be like
“Bray, cut that mess off your face” or “Braylon, get rid of the bush! You too cute for that”
or “Are you Rick Ross’ younger, more handsome brother?”.
I’m like, “HELLO, I’m right here! I got feelings too.”

Yvette: It must be really hard.

Neckbeard: It is. But, Braylon had my back from the beginning. He stuck with me. So I’m sticking with him......…until he decides to shave. Then we are DONE!

Yvonne: So what would you like the fans to know, Neckbeard?

Neckbeard: People don’t know the REAL Braylon Edwards, like I do. I’m with him everyday. So I see him as a person.. He’s a good dude. He just made a mistake. Let him live, ya know?

Yvonne: Thank you again!

Neckbeard: Oh don’t forget to get my mixtape dropping October 11th. It’s got DMX, Swissbeatz, Beanie Sigel, Freeway or Beanie Man’s beards and Justin Beiber.

Look out for it.
Y’all look alike. Y’all twins?

Yvette: 0_0 Yes. Thanks for joining, “The Twins Love Football”.

Neckbeard: No problem. Be easy.
