he would be sleepy and wouldn’t mind the vacuuming noise.  I was wrong!  He freaked the hell out and went into torpedo mode.  He ran into every sharp corner in his cage and busted his nose.  I had to put him in a bathtub full of cold water for a half hour before he calmed down enough to be “normal”.  This picture is Tweedy with some craft glue on his nose, holding together his flappy wound skin.</p> <p>As a back-story,  I’ve kept a webcam on my iguanas for almost 2 decades.  One time while I was in Dublin,  I was checking out Tweedy and found my pet-sitter vacuuming the cage while he was still in it.  I’m sure he was scared to death.  I believe this is the root of his major fear of vacuum cleaners.  To the average reader, this may seem like a semi-honest mistake.  But I told this pet-sitter specifically to not worry about the messes Tweedy makes and to not clean up after him.  Although this was about 3 years ago, this still makes me very mad.  Another thing that happened with this pet sitter: I believe she put the mat from the cage into my washer and dryer to wash it.  As a result,  my washer started leaking as soon as I was back from my trip (and had to be replaced).  The dryer also had gravely pieces in it, which I suspect are from the adhesive that held this mat together.  Sounds like an open and shut case to me.</p> <p>If you ever need a pet-sitter, I can recommend
