Dear Mr. Vance:

Thank you for your letter about solicitations for contracts for hollow-point bullets issued by the Department of Homeland Security, the Social Security Administration, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. I appreciate your taking the time to write and welcome the opportunity to respond.

As you may know, the Department of Homeland Security's mission includes preventing terrorism, enhancing national security, and securing our borders. To fulfill that mission, the Department trains and employs over 11,000 agents at agencies including the Secret Service, the Coast Guard, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. These agents have full law enforcement authority and, as required by Department policy, use hollow-point ammunition.

The Social Security Administration also has agents with full law enforcement authority. The Administration's 295 agents work in 66 offices across the United States and are responsible for investigating violations of laws that govern the Administration's programs. For example, they not only investigate allegations of Social Security fraud, but they also respond to threats against Social Security offices, employees, and customers. The Administration's agents use hollow-point ammunition during firearm training and in the course of their law enforcement duties.

There were reports that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's National Weather Service solicited a contract for 40,000 rounds of hollow-point bullets. In fact, the Administration's Fisheries Office of Law Enforcement solicited the contract.

According to the Administration, "due to a clerical error, a solicitation for ammunition for the Fisheries Office of Law Enforcement mistakenly identified the National Weather Service as the requesting office." The Administration states that that error is being fixed and will soon appear correctly in the federal government's electronic bidding system. The ammunition was ordered for the Administration's 63 enforcement personnel who work out of six divisional offices and 53 field offices throughout the U.S. These agents perform traditional law enforcement duties over more than 3 million square miles of open ocean and 85,000 miles of coastline from criminal fishing operations.

I recognize that media reports have raised concerns over these solicitations for hollow-point bullets. As stated in the solicitations, the requesting organizations were running low on ammunition and needed to replenish their supplies. Furthermore, hollow-point ammunition is standard issue for many law enforcement agencies.

It is the same type of ammunition used at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, and federal law enforcement agents use this ammunition during their firearms qualifications and other training sessions. Additionally, hollow-point bullets are designed to stop when they hit a target as opposed to passing through it and striking other objects.

Dear Senator Feinstein:

Thank you for your response of May 15, 2013 to my recent letter. Regarding your points:

Again I ask, why do you endorse the purchase of hollow point, “dum-dum” bullets that are considered too cruel for use in war by the Geneva Conventions to which we are signitore’? Why to you not call for Chocolate bullets as does Vice President Biden?

Why would the Social Security Administration need such bullets? What kinds of crimes do old people commit that call for “cruel and unusual” weapons as defined by the United Nations and the Geneva Convention?

I also find it outrageous that NOAA and The Weather Bureau need many thousands of such bullets. Do you mean to turn all government employees into an army opposed to the people? Your bureaus now have enough bullets to put five into every man, woman and child not employed by government. This amounts to a declaration of war against the people. Is this what you want, Senator Feinstein?

America

is first in private gun ownership and 27^th in the world murder rate. This alone puts the lie to the Obama Administration’s and your ideas. The countries above us on that UN list all have laws of the kind for which you stand.

Given that you carry a concealed weapon often, if not always, makes you a hypocrite, Senator. Are you aware that you are pushing for laws impacting on sane citizens when crazy people are the only ones responsible for these massacres. Can you understand that Senator Feinstein?

There Is A Better Way

Having been in four, I can tell you a tornado is the most terrifying natural phenomenon you can experience as it lasts for what seems an eternity and all the while nothing makes sense. Stuff is flying by, the air feels charged, rain comes straight on, things are breaking, the sound is like four freight trains running overhead and the phone is ringing.

Today I hear lots of talk about "storm cellars," "safe rooms" and "getting in your bathtub. There has to be a better way for people to be safe in "Tornado Alley." I grew up on the tail end of it on Route 66 between St. Louis and Chicago.

In the 60's a huge hurricane ran up the east coast and I watched a TV news helicopter broadcast go over one rubble pile after another. Then, the reporter yelled, "What's that?" and the craft turned to a standing structure! It was a dome! A geodesic dome of the kind designed by F. Buckminster Fuller. It was undamaged!

"What the Hell?" yelled the reporter as the helicopter orbited the dome. I knew then that I would have one of those some day and I live in one now. I had planned to build two subdivisions of them, the first with six or seven 4,000 square footers and then another 25 2,000 square footers with a one big one for a center for a fully age-integrated community. The real estate crash dashed that project and about $1 million I had on paper. Nonetheless...

I think these homes would survive anything but a direct hit of a tornado. They are low in cost to construct the basic shell. People spend the bulk of their money on interiors. It is all 2" by 6" triangles, the strongest form in nature compared to the rectangle used in homes which has very little lateral integrity.

When the Chief Building Inspector signed off on my dome home he said, "This will be last house standing in the county when the big one hits." We had put 90 yards of concrete with rod on eight inch centers in the foundation with fingers dug several feet below the main pour as if we were building a dam. I like stuff that does not fall down. That great, towering intellectual of the US Senate, Barbra Boxer blames the Oklahoma tornado on “global warming” and the Republican denial of science. We take issue with calling statistical analysis “science” when it is not. It is a common practice for many to claim the aegis of the method that gave us the modern world. Statistics is not qualified; it only tells us about things. “Science” includes experiments and Statistics counts beans, Bucks and BS.

A study of the atmosphere in the terms of modern physical science, in the light of Le Chatelier shows adding CO2 should be seen as reducing atmospheric heating by the sun. Increasing CO2 in air reduces air’s capacity for water vapor which is seven times better at capturing infrared, IR, radiation, heat energy, from sunlight, than CO2 molecule for molecule.

The CO2 cooling effect is consistent with what we saw during and after WWII when we burned down Europe and

Japan

, which beats the Hell out Ford Fairlanes and SUVs in terms of CO2. And, a wiser bunch of whiners were wailing about “The Cooling World” in the April 28, 1975 Newsweek which you can click on, read or copy and print out. It has a chart showing how our temperature declined with the WWII CO2 increase. Newsweek said we were going into an ice age per prediction from the white coats, aka “scientists” who were mathematicians in disguise. They do that; they are sneaky people.

The Newsweek piece had some great “pull quotes” in it, the kind you use to flog the other side, including, “There are ominous signs that the earth’s weather patterns have begun to change dramatically and that these changes portend a drastic decline in food production.” You need to know the panic-pusher mindset at that time was that we were making so many people the planet would get top heavy, or something, and tip over so they welcomed this event to starve the surplus. Such were the politics of the time, it was your better-than-average-bunch-of-evil.

Senator Barbra “Big Brain” Boxer’s concerns were alive in 1975 Newsweek: “Last April 148 twisters (tornadoes) killed more than 300 people and caused half a billion dollars worth of damage in thirteen US states.” Now wait a minute here: We thought there were more tornadoes now than before. We have had only a few in the last year and before Oklahoma only six people had been killed!

Meanwhile back at the podium Jim Hansen has been telling the world that CO2 controls the atmosphere by telling water vapor when to become a gas. That is the only way his ideas work and something like it was the concept mix pre 1832, but then German chemist Wohler (pro. Vayler) made urea with chemicals from rocks so Vitalism and Alchemy died only to be revitalized for political purposes by Jim Hansen in 1988.

The irony is that Jim Hansen could have gotten away with blaming CO2 for the coming ice age, being consistent with Le Chatelier, Wohler and Entropy as Earth is the cooling world.

Dear Ms. Collins:

I am in receipt of a State of California cheque in the amount $808.64 and I assume it is a refund for the funds you took from my Bank of America account illegally. I note the date on the cheque is “May 14, 2013,” which is one day before your required response from the action of the California Victim Compensation and Government Claims Board. A response is still required and I would appreciate your paying the $25 filing fee I had to pay as a result of your improper action.

I have also received another “Notice of State Income Tax Due” for 2007 and in the amount of $809.11 which I assume is an attempt to continue to collect what I maintain is inappropriate as I reported the same income figures to the IRS for that year as I reported to the FTB.

You will recall your people told me it would be illegal for them to send me anything the FTB received from the IRS and that is a lie. They then claimed I could not read it as the record is magnetic. When asked how they see it I was told “…on a computer screen” and when I asked the clerk to push the “Print Screen” key and send me the result she hung up.

Where this matter was brought to me six months after the statute of limitations had expired, I objected and you told me “…it doesn’t matter.” Then you told Gail Moss of Assemblyman Chesbro’s office I had not paid my 2007 taxes for two years, both untrue. I insist you clarify, repair and apologize for these statements in writing as I will file a complaint with the California Bar Association if you do not. I truly regret you are working for the State of California Ms. Collins.

The White House Strikes Back

Presidential pull-toy Dan Pfeiffer hit all the weekend talk shows with the a recorded speech having come from the same operating room in which Susan Rice was chipped for her TV performance. What do they do to these people to make them so strange and Terminator-like? I want to see them walk. I bet they stride like that “Man in Black” guy in the GE commercial.

When do they turn it off? Ever? Susan Rice has not been seen since her five riveting performances of September 15. The effect must last more than eight months. Maybe it's permanent. Are those 150 words she said all she can utter now? Would Dan Pfeiffer’s mother recognize him or be able to pull him back? What evil lurks in the minds of men who eat dogs?

We can only imagine the secret White House basement laboratory with all the old Frankenstein equipment zapping away as guys in white coats install chips in strapped down staff heads in preparation for the TV shows. They even got the lisp right for Dan Pfeiffer. Susan Rice didn’t get one, but then maybe they leave that out of the ladies chip, which is sexist as it is the mark of the Ivy League.

The shows all had plenty of Ivy League lispers; David Sanger and Jeff Zelney were in fine form. George Stephanopolis brought in Katerina Van der Evil for a reliable liberal lady to step all over ever gallant George Will.

Pfeiffer’s chip included: “I can’t speak to the law here. The law is irrelevant. The activity was outrageous and inexcusable, and it was stopped and it needs to be fixed so we ensure it never happens again,” When expectedly asked if he really thought the law irrelevant on every show Pfeiffer’s chip responded, “What I mean is, whether it’s legal or illegal is not important to the fact that the conduct doesn’t matter. The Department of Justice has said they’re looking into the legality of this. The President is not going to wait for that. We have to make sure it doesn’t happen again, regardless of how that turns out,”

Pfeiffer’s chip said, “There was absolutely not any communication between the White House and IRS to exert pressure to more closely scrutinize conservative groups applying for tax-exempt status.” And that, “While the White House would cooperate with Congress in investigating the matter, it would not participate in “partisan fishing expeditions. “We are going to work with Congress, as the president said, in legitimate oversight. What we’re not going to participate in is partisan fishing expeditions designed to distract from the real issues at hand.” Or, always wear a parachute when you go flying.

After the interview, Pfeiffer tweeted “Before folks quoting me out of context get too far ahead of themselves, of course the law matters, IRS conduct is wrong even if legal,” in a spineless CYA. These folks leave nothing to chance when the White strikes back.

Dear Miss Moss:

I thank you for your work in my behalf in dealing with the Franchise Tax Board. You have been the most effective and sincere of the people in positions of your kind with whom I have dealt.

Today I received another “Notice of State Income Tax Due” for 2007, here attached. It is identical to those I received before and with which they took $800 from my Bank of America account for my Social Security deposit. That was illegal. Now they want more.

While I was surprised to see this dun it is the last piece of the puzzle. This proves I am under attack by someone in the FTB.

With my 2007 California “540,” and check, I included a letter informing them their “Deductions” instructions were flawed; that they called for subtracting a negative number, which is an addition under the laws of mathematics and could be a considerable loss to the state. No response was forthcoming and I had hoped for a “Gold Star.”

I suspect this letter got someone into trouble and he either lost or trashed my check to do me harm. The paper-clipped return, letter and check were together so someone handling them dispensed with the check after it had passed the “remittance enclosed” checkpoint and that was not resolved for two years.

When called about it I said if the FTB did not want to cash my check it was not my problem. The young man accepted my argument and settled for the tax alone, no penalty or interest.

This apparently made someone mad and six months after the statute of limitations on such matters they came after me with the false claim I had reported $10,500 more to the IRS than the FTB. The FTB refused to document the IRS statement. My returns show no difference. The FTB’s claim it was illegal to send IRS documents is a lie and they claim I cannot see it as the record is magnetic, but they could read it on a computer. When I asked they hit the “Print Screen” key they hung up.

The worst of them is Tanya Collins, Esq. of their legal department who said of the Statute of Limitations, “…doesn’t matter.” Are lawyers above the law? She also lied about me writing I had not paid my taxes for two years. This demonstrates she is familiar with this case and I am a target of the FTB! The Attorney General will not take a complaint on the FTB so they are a rogue bureau operating beyond the law!

I filed a claim with the California Victim Compensation and Government Claims Board, per your suggestion, in January and they have presented my case to the FTB. The FTB had until May 15 to respond and they have not. Instead they sent me another dun for $809.11, threatening to raid my bank account, dated May 15, 2013! This is beyond coincidence. This is pure intimidation dripping with the angst of someone in deep regret for having missed the Gestapo. Surely Tanya Collins closet would scare you to death.

It would appear I am going to have to get this in front of a judge and it is a sufficiently simple matter that I can prosecute myself having done many Small Claims actions. Please advise.

This Ends In 2014

As the “Perfect Storm,” of Bengazi, IRS and AP wire snatching scandals grind on we can see the shape of things to come. The picture is not one of anything happening very quickly, but it may happen very well and that is even better.

Rush Limbaugh points out that while the press is insulted over the AP wire business they are not going to run to Republicans. The long-standing culture of liberalism in media, for the sake of popularity, will prevail, but they will report on Administration flaws, faults and foibles more readily than before, and that is the key.

The media will have plenty of dirt to dig and report on as the Obama gang only gave 100 of the 25,000 emails and communiqués regarding Benghzi. Congress can get the remainder by subpoenas the Whitehouse cannot stonewall where they have maintained the incident was the product of a “street demonstration” and not an international conspiracy. They have written the prologue in concrete and are stuck with it.

If Mr. Obama tries to declare this “a matter of national security,” then the Republicans can cry, “For a street demonstration and You Tube video?” as the White House people are yet alluding to that as the origin of the disaster. We realize that Democrats have a good record of having it both ways, but with a rather testy press on their hands that bird will not fly.

Meanwhile, more stuff will come from the IRS scandal as it is deep and long. Not only do the people hate that bureau, but the facts already on the table are gagging. It can only get worse.

The President declared he fired the IRS Commissioner, but he was a temp leaving in three weeks. It has been reported he is still in his office! Plus, the new man Mr. Obama appointed to replace him is from his White House staff! You cannot make this man up!

Meanwhile the lady who was in charge of the IRS unit specifically assigned to harass Tea Party, “conservative,” “right wing” and “evangelical,” “non-profit” operations, Sarah Hall Ingram, got more than $100,000 in bonuses between 2009 and 2012. And, she was just promoted to serve as Director of the IRS Obamacare program, a position putting her in charge of the vast expansion of the IRS' regulatory operations for "Affordable Health Care."

This will be a unit with 16,000 employees and a boost for Ms. Hall-Ingram. Who knows what kind of bonus she is anticipating for her work in that politburo.

This is just a taste of coming attractions as the Obama disaster metastasizes. I dare not report the new, rumored scandals as the unraveling of these three should be enough to make the 2014 mid-term elections something to behold. We must not relax our resolve to keep the bonfires burning and see this ends in 2014.

The International Space Station, aka UN “Jockstraps in Space” “Going where no man has gone before,” because it was stupid, is suffering from the bad science of the 70’s. They’re using ammonia for heat transfer. Freon™ would be better, but is banned and has been replaced with inferior, flammable substitutes that make every home refrigerator a time bomb. NASA refuses to use the now legal hydro-chloro-fluorocarbon gases in the International Space Station, because they are dangerous, but they are OK for us!

In 1974 for a $60,000 grant UC Irvine Prof. Sheldon Rowland and grad assistant Mario Molina sold their souls to Satan postulating Freon™, the finest industrial chemical ever made, was breaking down in the upper atmosphere of Antarctica to destroy the “ozone shield” they claimed was protecting life on Earth from hard UV, ultraviolet, from the sun.

Dupont did not defend Freon(tm) as the patent had expired. They could patent inferior gases and sell them for outrageous prices if Freon(tm) were banned. This a flaw in our system and it can be corrected, but only by honest people in elected places. (Good luck.)

Not only is there no “ozone shield,” as gases cannot form surfaces, a fact once taught in junior high schools, but 90% of all Freon is in the northern hemisphere and no ozone breakdown is there seen. The “Horse Latitude Effect” keeps Freon™ in the northern hemisphere. Very little has ever been released south of the equator.

And, the reaction they claimed was doing this had never been seen in nature nor could they produce it in the lab. Molina is now at MIT and still trying to get it to work! It never will; the thermo-dyamics, are backwards in his "equation." He is trying to do the molecular equivalent of pushing a big rock up a steep hill.

NASA's ammonia attacks soft seals. They use rubber-like materials to absorb vibrations of rocketing into space. Freon is inert; attacks nothing while ammonia combines with many compounds, some of which become explosive like Astrolite, a favorite such potion as the brisance is only exceeded by nukes and it is easy to make.

When pushed about no ozone depletion in the north NASA sent six U2’s north with aerial samplers, finding no chlorate traces going directly over the pole where it should be produced. With one flight left they sent it on a circuitous route over Norway and bingo! Chlorate compounds!

This rang my bell as I had seen Macrocystis Kelp in the Fjords of Norway when there in 1976. This plant is unique there, while common in the Pacific and thought brought by Japanese ancient mariners circa 6000 BC via the Northwest Passage. It only grows in the Fjords and is never anywhere else in the North Atlantic.

This plant has a unique and exciting physiology as it reduces haloids to elements. With genetic engineering it could recover gold by the ton as the colloid, tiny particle, in which marine gold exists has a natural ionic coating and is thus reducible to the element.

Every cell of Macrocystis Kelp includes one tiny crystal of iodine in the center of every cell and we know not why. It also produces elemental free chlorine which on contact with ozone makes a chlorate radical, part of a molecule! Bingo! The smoking gun!

NASA chiefs knew about this and exactly what they were doing in perpetrating the Freon(tm) fraud on the American people. This inspires the question, “Where would we be today if we had honest men in high places?”

Where Will It End?

As we watch Washington, DC unravel over three major scandals, any one of which could have taken a Republican President out of office, we have to wonder how and where it will all end.

The damage to the IRS will be minimal as it is the source of all money for the elected ruling class. Obama fired the temporary Commisioner, who was scheduled to leave in three weeks so he pulled another stunt on the folks. They will chop some clerks, strawbosses and other such underlings, but the bureau will remain and prevent another scandal by spreading responsibilities in ways harder to track.

Rush Limbaugh hatched a most believeable hypothesis on May 15, 2013 that it was not necessary for President Obama to sic the IRS on The Tea Party, but that the IRS culture is very pro-Democrat and the staff would take it upon themselves to delay Tea Party “401c,” non-profit status for years, which put many chapters out of business. Rush may be right, but we prefer to see a committee of Congress lay it all on the Obama White House.

The State Department has been a nest of international socialism, “one worldism” and crisis milking. Their recent complaint that Benghazi was caused by the Republican “sequester” is laughable as they are so overfunded it is said they have $400 million stashed until their top people can figure out how to steal it.

It is amazing Hillary left without a truckload of cash; or maybe she did! Doubtful John Kerry will be able to find a way to steal it. He is only good at marrying very rich women. The rumor mill says Susan Rice will be the next National Security Adviser to the President in his deep appreciation for her Benghazi performance. The Administration is only waiting until they can slip her in the back door, but she and Valerie Jarret are natural enemies so keep your seatbelt in place.

The AP 20 phone tapping is more problematic than it yet may seem as it shows the Administration does not trust the people who put them in office! That act made them feel they were back in power and now the Obama Administration has shown them they are not. That is not acceptable nine ways to Sunday.

We have to wonder what is coming as so many pressure cookers are whistling round the world and Mr. Obama is so bereft of people to blame he now picks on Rush blaming him for everything. He must be running out of gas and we can only wonder where will it end?

A liberal Democrat environmentalist lady from Berkeley, California who was also an anti-hunter purchased timberland near Colville , Washington.

There was a very large tree on one of the highest points in the tract. She wanted a good view of the great splendor of her land so she climbed the big tree. As she neared the top she encountered a spotted owl that attacked her. In her haste to escape, she slid down the tree to the ground getting many splinters in her crotch. In considerable pain, she hurried to an Emergency Room to for medical help.

She told the doctor she was an environmentalist, a
Democrat, and an anti-hunter and how she came to get all the splinters.

The doctor listened to her story with great patience and then told her to wait in the examining room and he would see if he could help her. She sat waiting for three hours before the doctor returned. The angry woman demanded, "What took you so long?" He smiled and then told her:

"Inasmuch as you are an environmentalist I felt it necessary to get permits from the Environmental Protection Agency, the Forest Service, and the Bureau of Land Management before I could remove old-growth timber from a 'recreational area' so close to a waste treatment facility. I'm sorry, but due to Obama-Care they turned you down.

There may be truth to the rumor the lady has become a Republican.

Is President Obama right to call the Benghazi investigations a politically-motivated "sideshow"?

Our European cousins are just now figuring out that ditching their marks, francs, liras and drachmas to join the eurozone may not have been such a hot idea after all. Every time a member nation gets in line at the bailout window, the common currency takes another hit.

Oskar Lafontaine played a key role in the creation of the Euro in 1999 as Germany’s finance minister. He now calls for a change in course, arguing that the European Union is heading toward “disaster,” and a breakup of the currency is critical to the recovery of Southern European countries.

The Euro was expected to be the daily public symbol of a monetary union, the next logical step in the economic integration of Europe, the conclusion of the painful process of rebuilding from the rubble of World War II. Securing the four freedoms for the Continent’s internal market — free movement of goods, capital, services and labor — was the European Union’s greatest accomplishment. Maintaining a monetary union without achieving a fiscal union is its greatest failing.

Eurozone nations share the same currency, and they must trust that their neighbors — politically independent governments with significant differences in economic structure — will adopt fiscal polices that maintain the Euro’s value. It was a proposition doomed to failure from the start. Many economists said so.

Germany and Greece share little in common, but they were placed in the same fiscal straitjacket. Greece is heavily dependent on tourism, but the tourists started booking flights to other places after a visit to the ruins of the ancient world was no longer a bargain on a cheap drachma and became a pricey excursion on an expensive euro. Greece quickly lost its competitive edge. Without the ability to devalue its currency,Greece could do nothing to recover.

That irritated the thrifty Germans, who had to subsidize Greece to preserve the union. Greeks knew this, so politicians in Athens saw no need to endure the pain of putting their house in order. They could have all the benefits of an oversized government and bloated public sector while the Germans and others picked up the check. The Eurozone itself is responsible for the structural problems that created the European debt crisis. Leaving the union is the first step in resolving it.

Dumping the euro would allow countries such as Greece to restore their private economies. The change in the value of the currency would make exports competitive and encourage growth. For the private sector to grow, the public sector must make room by shrinking. A mere change in currency would encourage inflation if it is not accompanied by true cuts in government spending.

The overvaluation of the euro has played a role in Southern’s Europe’s problems, but structural imbalance has done far more to put these economies in jeopardy. Like the Greeks, some other Europeans have spent too much and borrowed too much. They have imposed burdensome regulations that stifle innovation, competition and job creation, weakening the private sector so that it’s difficult to see how the economies can recover.

The death of the euro is a good start, but the true path to growth in the European Union is fiscal discipline, not a quick monetary fix. Politicians must muster the courage to challenge the entrenched public-sector unions and derail the gravy train. Only then can a European Union prosper.

It Is Just That Simple

House Speaker John Boehner and the chairman of the House Science Committee are both unsure whether the science behind climate change—the stuff that shows pretty clearly that carbon pollution produced by humans is damaging our environment—is real.

Instead, they’re on the record saying things like this:

”The idea that carbon dioxide is a carcinogen that is harmful to our environment is almost comical. Every time we exhale, we exhale carbon dioxide. Every cow in the world, you know, when they do what they do, you’ve got more carbon dioxide.” - John Boehner, April 2009

As long as our members of Congress continue to develop their own theories behind climate change, we will fall further and further behind in our ability to make actual progress on this issue.

CO2 is a “trace gas” in air, insignificant by definition. It absorbs 1/7th as much IR, heat energy, from sunlight as water vapor which has 80 times as many molecules capturing 560 times as much heat making 99.8% of all "global warming." CO2 does only 0.2% of it. For this we should destroy our economy?

Carbon combustion generates 80% of our energy. Control and taxing of carbon would give the elected ruling class more power and money than anything since the Magna Carta of 1215 AD.

It is just that simple.

Want To Die On Mars

September 22, 2012 we reported on the Mars One venture that is promoted by two Dutch guys and said it was a scam. Little did we know how right we were and what a really good scam it has been.

We thought they would get a few nutcases, but 80,000 people paid $5 to $75 to apply depending on the ad or release to which they responded. In the US the price was $38. Let us suppose that was the average price as we have more suckers than anybody. They probably took in over $3,000,000 for a press release they emailed and faxed to newspapers and magazines!

We get emailed and posted scams for “work at home,” “free money for college,” “You are the long-lost first cousin of a South African diamond mine owner who…” and every one wants $20 to $200 for a “training manual” or “money transfer fee,” but this Mars thing beats all selling a one way trip!

I have long said, all “Man in space,” and “Journey to the planets,” schemes are scams even if government sponsored. Outer space is the most hostile environment. The universe of man is a soap bubble thin gas mixture on a big round rock including decaying radioactive elements heating it to ten Celsius degrees or Earth would be an ice covered ball. We live in a thin zone between two nuclear reactors: A fission reactor below and a fusion reactor above.

The unlikelihood of our existence is given as a proof of God, but cynics respond with, “Given an infinite number of monkeys with typewriters and infinite time, one will write Hamlet.” The faithful scoff, but if you Google the string, “Given an infinite number of monkeys…” you will get 246 mathematical treatises that will prove it and give you prickly heat. It appears that all prove the point. However, all are predicated on “infinity” meaning “You never get there,” i.e. “There is always one more.”

Meanwhile back in Holland applicants complete “...a grueling application” with essays on: “Why would you like to go to Mars?” “How would you describe your sense of humor?” and “What makes you the perfect candidate for this mission to Mars?”

Mars One expects 500,000 will apply by the end of August. At the $75 per application price that will net $37,500,000 for a total take of $40,540,000 which is not bad for a goofy idea and a few days of emailing and FAXing.

They say their people will have to train for seven years which will be covered by a “reality TV show” with an “audience vote” to pick who will get to die on Mars and we can imagine it will be a big hit with the Kasrdashian generation Democrats.

We conclude many of the world's people are becoming an infinite bunch of monkeys who want to die on Mars.

Unicorns Exist?

If I said to you: "Unicorns exist, I totally just saw one galloping down the street," most likely you'd give me a sad look and get on with your day.

But what if House Speaker Boehner and the chairman of the House Science Committee said they didn't know if the science behind climate change was real. (Yeah. That actually happened.)

Now obviously, it doesn't matter if I just make stuff up about unicorns. But it matters, and it matters a whole lot, that so many of our elected officials in Washington who represent us are denying science and using that denial to refuse to take action on climate change.

It's actually dangerous -- and it matters how we react.

Each and every day that congressional leaders hold on to their bizarre fantasy world, OFA is going to be there, not letting them get away with it.

I am a physical scientist, certified to teach across the field in California, much published by every major educational film company. Every high school in the United States and Russia have used my films. I was paid for the US films, but the Soviets would buy one and make copies for all their schools. I got letters from teachers all over the USSR. The point is that I am used to dealing with scoundrels and the "climate change" promoters are scoundrels and I prove it.

I urge you to go to my Two Minute Conservative blog and input "global warming" to the search routine. You will be presented with many short pieces written for general readers and we deal with every aspect of "anthropogenic global warming." This is the greatest fraud perpetrated in science and it is ruining our economies with politicized nonsense.

If you don't believe me take a look at a recent piece done by NASA, one of your bureaus, entitled: "Global Cooling." I realize the author tried to recant after he was upbraided for having told the truth, but the truth is out from your own people! You tell me, do unicorns exist?

The New Welfare Map

11 States now have more people on welfare than are employed in them!

Last month, the Senate Budget Committee reported in fiscal 2011, between food stamps, housing support, child care, Medi-caid and other benefits, the average welfare household received $168.00 a day in government benefits. This is over $60,000 per year!

The median household income in America is just over $50,000, or $137 a day. Being on welfare now pays the equivalent of $30.00 an hour for a 40-hour week, for producing nothing, while the average job pays $20.00 an hour for producing something.

Consider that where paychecks are discounted about 30% with all federal and state deductions the average working American takes home about $35,000 where the welfare recipient gets $61,320 tax free! 75% more for not working!

Is it any wonder Barack Obama won re-election? How long can this continue? Where he raised the national debt 50% in his first term and to the level of the Gross Domestic Product per year it should be apparent that our Columbia University, Harvard Law graduate is either arithmetically conflicted or intends to crash the nation, cause unrest and perhaps become "President for the duration," which we can only guess would be for a long time.

It is amazing the information contained in the new welfare map.

The gun lobby is pretty happy with itself.

They succeeded in scaring members of Congress into voting against something that 90 percent of Americans -- and 74 percent of NRA members -- support.

They like it the way things are, where the most powerful interest groups in Washington get to override the voices of millions of Americans.

OFA will be the grassroots movement that counteracts that. We're going to show members of Congress that, if you stand up to the special interests, the people in your districts will be right there to get your back.

Our petition to Congress is going to the printers at midnight tonight. You've said that you wanted to take action to reduce gun violence, but it looks like you haven't signed the petition yet. It'd be a real shame if it didn't have your name on it, wouldn't it?

It is amazing how you twist things: Gun deaths are down 39% as more Americans arm themselves against criminals. The lowest murder rate in our history was during the "gunfighter" era when miscreants could expect an armed response. America is first in private gun ownership and 27th in murder rate. All the countries above us have very restrictive gun laws like the ones you want and they also have dictators like Mr. Obama wants to be.

There is no "gun lobby" unless you call the NRA and the American people a lobby. Your lies have doubled their size to five million members in a few months. Are you trying for ten? I have a graphic I want you to examine and explain to me:

Now Jon, let us suppose you were an angry nutcase out to avenge that you are not rich-and-famous after everyone told you how wonderful you were all through school even though you flunked every test so you are going to kill evil rich folks kids in that private school up the hill. CBS MoneyWatch recently listed universities with the worst professors. I was not surprised to see my old college, #22, ISU, on the list, but I was a faculty brat there and knew too much.

We had some great teachers, but many duds. Ironically, one notoriously bad prof. made it necesary for me to find an early version of programmed learning, “scrambled text” in statistics to get an “A” in his 300 level course while others fumbled. All I got from that mumbling prof was a good place to read or take a nap.

Scrambled books were difficult to produce as typesetting caused pages to move around, but now the jumps are automated and for “ebooks” search keys like “Go to A1, A2, etc.” enable it. We have an example of such a book at “Apocalypse Asteroid.”

It is sad to see on this list many science and engineering schools where instruction is critical. I can understand this as these schools did everything they could to cream the crop in my day. Jobs were few and great skills were needed as we had to make our equipment and reagents. 80% of those starting in my class flunked out. I struggled to hang in. The Federal money flood has changed all that.

Federal money lowered standards, paying by the head, and brought politicized material, like anthropogenic global warming. But, many other ideas now taught need to be changed. The big problem is political correctness. It has no place in education. The “Green” movement is more one of ignorance and not intent, like “climate change.” But the insanity has gone all the way to elementary school where now it is national policy not to teach grammar "because it is racist," i.e. a white evil! This must end.

Electronic books and the Internet can change most of what is wrong in higher education, especially the price. The “Great professor (a)" effect is a myth. Nobel prize winners never teach courses. They do “research,” looking for what they can steal and hold seminars for select grad student, Ph.D. candidates, who do all the lower division instruction. You are taught by grad student “Lecturers” with Masters degrees, no teaching experience, presentation skills and often bad attitudes from overwork and churchmouse economics.

You will see your first Ph.D. at the 300 level and he will be an Associate trying to get tenure which he will do by demonstrating how smart he is. If you can’t follow, “to bad.” He is playing to administrators who sit in frequently to avoid their offices.

We have 4,000 four year colleges and universities in the United States and not surprisingly, mine was on the list of, “Universities With Worst Professors.”

War In Time

My first suspicions we should not trust government came in the UFO controversy after WWII. Too many people were telling similar stories of encounters and abductions by "little gray men." In 1950 when one of these things flew 100 feet over me, glowing silently in a thin fog I became a believer.

Stories of crashed craft and little bodies, later verified by a preacher I had gone to elementary school with who knew five leading witnesses in New Mexico as “solid citizens and honest men.” He read a piece I had written and called me to verify his parishioners.

I worked with NICAP and MUFON as a photo analyst being familiar with special effects photography for production. This led to my book “UFO’s: The Eye and the Camera” including a “Two Channel information theory for events simultaneously seen and photographed,” but since those days things have been quiet in the UFO world. Or have they?

Last week in Washington, DC a UFO advocacy group, Paradigm Research, held a Congressional-style hearing on UFO’s at the National Press Club. The focus on this meeting was that UFO’s are alien space craft. As one who worked with the top people in that controversy, including Dr. J. Alan Hynek and Stanton Friedman I can tell you these people were open to other ideas for good reasons.

I am concerned NASA will crank this up in a frantic effort to keep “Man in Space” programs and burn more billions on that waste of time. There is just no way space travel will ever be practical for man given the length of our lives, the structure of our skeletons and our needs. We are sentenced to this planet for the terms of our lives.

The most common space aliens are little people with big heads and eyes, small mouths and three fingers. Such creatures are common to hundreds of “space alien,” “close encounter” reports and they are a clue to the answer.

We have been a species for less than one million years, say 500,000. Our little fingers are receding unlike those of other hominids that are of equal length. In my case my little finger is 30% shorter than my longest finger and has lost that length in 500,000 to one million years. If that rate continues our little fingers will be gone in another one to two million years.

We may well become smaller in body, larger in head and eyes just like the “little gray men” of UFO crashes, contacts and abductions.

Why would the people of 1,000,000 AD to 2,000,000 AD want to navigate time? Curiosity? Cruise business? Or war? There could be no greater weapon than the manipulation of people in time. If we prevented Hitler’s birth would WWII not happen or would Rudolph Hess have taken his place? While it appears single people can determine events we may learn they cannot. Or, we may well be the battlefield for a war in time.

A New 97%!

One of the wheels coming off the Obama Express is man-caused global warming, aka “climate change.” A prominent exponent is Michael Mann, Ph.D., of Penn State University; the school made notorious by Coach Jerry Sandusky's sex perversions.

Dr. Mann published a study of Siberian tree rings he said proved man-caused global warming. He claims thicker tree rings correlate with warm temperatures and he can read them. Other scientists objected saying rainfall has more to do with it or two factors are involved and cannot be differentiated in the way he prescribes.

The real problem for Dr. Mann came when he had to admit he had only worked with one tree section! That should have lifted him from the journals, but there is so much money and power in this he kept his place in the issue. He also invented the famous “hockey stick” hypothesis that Al Gore used in the first slide show to win an Oscar, one-half Nobel Prize and seats on “green” industry boards plus thousands of shares of stock. This made Al "green rich" and Michael Mann "green with envy."

Meanwhile, the “trick” Mann used on temperature data to make his “hockey stick” fell out of the East Anglia “Email-Gate” scandal. The state of Virginia decided Dr. Mann had ripped them off for studies he faked at their University and they are now chasing him for that. Meanwhile, Mann, was festering for having gotten nothing for giving Al Gore his key “Hockey Stick,” concept and started saying the Nobel Prize really belonged to him so he claimed he had gotten it!

About this time I did a short piece on “Global Warming” for a local paper. The hard-left Publisher sent it to Mann for comment. Mann replied excoriating me personally and actionably, but prosecuting a libel case from 3,000 miles is expensive, time consuming and has a high failure rate. The offender is in his home court. The newspaper is absentee owned by a Colorado firm so two sets of correspondent attorneys and distant suits would be needed. "Forget it!"

Then, author Mark Steyn wrote of Mann’s ravings, totally basing his remarks on published accounts. Mann took offense with Steyn and sued him for libel as Steyn is even better at pissing people off than am I. The case will certainly be tossed and Mann will again look foolish, but he has a good face for it. His case could be found “an abuse of process” and backfire for big bucks as Steyn is close, can afford to prosecute and probably will.

Dr. Mann has become an embarrassment to the left as The Daily Kos ran a poll asking if he (1) Is an outstanding scientist, (2) distorted evidence and (3) should be fired from Penn State. 5,568 people voted, 26 for (1), 3,940 for (2) and 1,479 for (3). The Daily Kos then reported “The 97% consensus determines Michael Mann distorted evidence or should be fired.” Thus, we have a new 97%!

Today I had to go to the mall.

As I approached the entrance, I noticed a driver looking for a parking space. I flagged the driver and pointed out a handicapped parking space that was open and available.

The driver looked puzzled, rolled down her window and said, "I'm not handicapped!"

Well, as you can imagine, my face was red! "Oh, I'm sorry" I said. "I saw your Obama bumper sticker and just assumed that you suffer from a mental disorder."

She gave me the finger and screamed some nasty names at me.

Boy! Some people don't appreciate it when you're just trying to help them out!

SHALL WE HIRE A MONUMENT ENGRAVER TO GO TO ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY AND ADD THE MISSING WORDS?

THIS IS A MESSAGE FROM AN APPALLED OBSERVER:

Today I went to visit the new World War II Memorial in Washington , DC . I got an unexpected history lesson. Because I'm a baby boomer, I was one of the youngest in the crowd. Most were the age of my parents, Veterans of 'the greatest war,' with their families. It was a beautiful day, and people were smiling and happy to be there. Hundreds of us milled around the memorial, reading the inspiring words of Eisenhower and Truman that are engraved there.

On the Pacific side of the memorial, a group of us gathered to read the words President Roosevelt used to announce the attack on Pearl Harbor :

'Yesterday, December 7, 1941--a date which will live in infamy--the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked.'

One elderly woman read the words aloud:

'With confidence in our armed forces, with the abounding determination of our people, we will gain the inevitable triumph.'

But as she read, she was suddenly turned angry. 'Wait a minute,' she said, 'they left out the end of the quote. They left out the most important part. Roosevelt ended the message with 'so help us God.'

Her husband said, 'You are probably right. We're not supposed to say things like that now.'

'I know I'm right,' she insisted. 'I remember the speech.' The two looked dismayed, shook their heads sadly and walked away.

Listening to their conversation, I thought to myself, 'Well, it has been over 50 years; she's probably forgotten.'

But she had not forgotten. She was right..

I went home and pulled out the book my book club is reading --- 'Flags of Our Fathers' by James Bradley. It's all about the battle at Iwo Jima ..

I haven't gotten too far in the book. It's tough to read because it's a graphic description of the WWII battles in the Pacific.

But right there it was on page 58. Roosevelt 's speech to the nation ends in 'so help us God.'

The people who edited out that part of the speech when they engraved it on the memorial could have fooled me. I was born after the war! But they couldn't fool the people who were there. Roosevelt 's words are engraved on their hearts.

Now I ask: 'WHO GAVE THEM THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THE WORDS OF HISTORY?????????'

People today are trying to change the history of America by leaving God out of it, but the truth is, God has been a part of this nation, since the beginning. He still wants to be...and He always will be!
