Can Obama Win?

We have wondered if it were possible for Mr. Obama to win as he is such an obvious failure. We are haunted the late, great H.L. Menken who wrote, “You will never lose a Dollar betting against the intelligence of the average American.” We were recently sent a series of accounts of incidents thought to be true and they must be considered. To wit:

A gentlemen writes, “I handed the teller at my bank a withdrawal slip for $400.00 I asked, "May I have large bills, please." She looked at me and said "I'm sorry sir, all the bills are the same size."

A lady tells, “When my husband and I went to pick up our car, we were told the keys had been locked in it. We went to the service department and found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the driver’s side door. As I watched from the passenger side, I tried the door handle and it was unlocked! 'Hey,' I said to the technician, 'it's open!' He replied, 'I know. I already got that side.'”

Another lady reports, “We had to have our garage door repaired.
The Sears repairman told us we did not have a 'large enough motor.‘ I told him we had the largest one Sears made, 1/2 horsepower. He shook his head saying, 'Lady, you need a 1/4 horsepower.' I responded 1/2 was larger than 1/4. He said, 'No, it's not..' Four is larger than two.”

A father tells, “My daughter and I went through the McDonald's take-out window and I gave the clerk a $5 bill. Our total was $4.25, so I also handed her a quarter. She said, “You gave me too much money.” I said, “Yes I know, but this way you can give me a dollar bill back.” She disappeared to return with the manager, who asked I repeat my request. I did and he handed me the quarter, and said “We're sorry but we cannot do that kind of thing.” The clerk give me $1 and 75 cents in change.”

Another man relates, “We recently had a new neighbor call the local township administrative office to request the removal of the DEER CROSSING sign on our road, saying, “Too many deer are hit by cars out here and I don't think this is a good place for them to be crossing anymore.”

Armed with a Department of Labor reporting only 1/3rd of the real unemployment rate and a Department of Commerce that calculates inflation on a "basket of goods" including "a bale of jute." How many bales of jute do you buy? We must wonder, “Can Obama Win?”

How Newt Lost It

It has been reported Mitt outspent Newt on TV ads 65:1 and that would certainly have an effect, but we think Newt’s problems are more profound than that.

Newt’s greatest attraction has long been very good ideas very clearly expressed. His masterwork, “The Contract With America,” was a list of ten concepts that were easy to understand. In spite of utter, kicking-and-screaming resistance from Democrats President Clinton signed seven of the ten provisions into law and now brags about them as crowning achievements of his Presidency.

The critical element missing in what Newt is doing now is editing. As one familiar with the creative process, editing is critical; time is required.

The millstone around Newt’s neck is the $1.3 million fee he got from the Federal National Mortgage Association Corporation, “Freddy Mac.” He claims “…it was for history lessons,” and “I never lobbied for them,” but that does not play in Peoria, or anywhere else for that matter.

Newt has claimed he had a company and employees that were paid from that money and he only got $35,000, but has supplied no documents. This is not just a weak defense, but an apparent cover-up and a self-inflicted wound he must repair or withdraw.

Newt also went on attack rather than promote any new ideas. He either coined or picked up “vulture capitalist” and used it without success when Mitt produced figures showing Bain Capital was responsible for more than 120,000 jobs and several very successful start-ups. Only two of the more than 100 companies they had dealt with were closed and not profitably as claimed by David Axelrod on "Meet The Press."

Newt’s quirky, angry personality got the best of him and he was either not prepared for the second Florida debate or so furious with Mitt he could not think. He did not look, or act, Presidential in that debate.

When Newt was on Sean Hannity’s show he laid out an exciting array of actions he would sign into law on inauguration day. This was vintage Newt and very exciting: But, laws have to pass in both House and Senate before he could sign them. There is no hope of seeing them for months once in office and only if Republicans have substantial majorities in both houses of Congress.

This is Gingrich insanity that scares the daylights out of those knowing of government. That should include all who took high school Civics, but in our dumbed-down, politically correct, bent-over-double with guilt for racism, environmentalism and planetism generations we can discount the young Americans. They would never be Newt voters in the first place. Nonetheless, this is how Newt lost it.

A Failed President

Friday, January 28 at the University of Michigan, President Obama declared, “I want this to be a big, bold, generous country where everybody gets a fair shot, everybody is doing their fair share, everybody is playing by the same set of rules. That's the America I know. That's the American I want to keep. That's the future within our reach,” proposing a new federal intervention in higher education.

Total student loan debt surpassed credit card debt in 2011. It will top $1 trillion this year. Typical public university graduates are $20,000 in debt and for private schools it is over $26,000 with many unable to find jobs.

Mr. Obama is saying everyone should have a degree. Is that true?

The Bureau of Labor statistics show 317,000 waiters and waitresses have degrees. 8,000 have doctoral or professional degrees. 80,000 are bartenders and 18,000 are parking lot attendants, 5,000 janitors have Ph.D. degrees. 17 million Americans with college degrees are doing jobs where degrees are not required.

Some of this is a result of degrees in “Studies” like “Black,” “Peace” and “Environment” with no career objective. Education is a way to promote a political theory that is self-replicating and produces nothing but tax collectors, regulators and cops. The idea we need foreign graduates is false as we have surpluses in every professional class.

In Florida 85 percent of jobs do not require four-year degrees. From official statistics: “A lot of Information Technology jobs require just high school, but experience,” said Mandy Chen, 23, a recent technology graduate. This has important implications for high school curricula. Vocational computer grads in Florida earn $60,000 per year, while college degree nursing graduates average, $48,000 per year.

The Federal government has poured money into colleges to promote ideas building government with more regulations and taxes. The weapon is environmentalism, the tool of socialism. Every physics lecture at Stanford is preceded by five to 15 minutes of “green” propaganda. The favorite is demonizing carbon and carbon dioxide.

Carbon dioxide, CO2, is a “trace gas” in air, insignificant by definition, 1/7th the absorber of IR, heat energy, from sunlight as water vapor which typically has 80 times as many molecules capturing 560 times as much heat making 99.8% of all "global warming." CO2 does only 0.2% of it, but carbon combustion generates 80% of our energy. Control and taxing of carbon would give the elected ruling class more power and money than anything since the Magna Carta of 1215 AD.

If Mr. Obama knows what he is doing he is committing fraud. If he does not know he is an ignorant and just a failed President.

Our Income Tax History and Destiny

Our first income tax was imposed in the Civil War. It was hated and rescinded soon after. Federal revenues had come 60% from whiskey taxes, and 40% from trade tariffs. The south had all the best ports and whiskey so a new revenue source was needed. Abraham Lincoln turned to the people.

Woodrow Wilson passed the Federal Income Tax Amendment in reaction to Prohibition's ending the whiskey tax. It was progressive, topping at 70% during WWI. After Armistice, Republicans Harding and Coolidge cut it to 20% causing the “Roaring 20’s.” Automobile ownership increased 300% proving lower taxes mean more for the people.

Corruption in equity funding inflated the stock market creating an unsustainable market as banks speculated and manipulated stocks rather than lend to people. The Smoot-Hawley Trade Tariff bill triggered market collapse when Wall Street saw scrutiny and regulation coming. It did not cause the depression, per myth, as foreign trade was only three percent of our economy. The crash inspired the Glass-Steagal Act to take banks out of equity speculation and market manipulation.

President Hoover raised tax rates after the stock market crash turning it into The Great Depression. His legendary intellect failed America. FDR made things worse with a borrow-and-spend “New Deal,” confirmed by his Treasury Secretary Morganthau in Congressional testimony, May 15, 1939. Therefore, three "smart fellers" caused our worst economies.

FDR raised the top rates to 91% during WWII. They were kept after the war and caused recessions due to overtaxing in 1953, 1955 and 1957.

JFK proposed lower taxes which were not passed until after his death and as a tribute. The economy expanded. Taxes stayed at JFK's levels until the 70’s when "smart feller" Jimmy Carter raised rates. "bam, boom, crash!"

Ronald Reagan lowered taxes and the economy turned up. George HW Bush raised some taxes, but not the income tax. Little happened until Bill Clinton raised rates briefly, losing the House. Then capital gains tax was cut, causing more investment and the economy expanded. George W. Bush went further, cutting the top rate from 39% to 35% with another increase in revenues resulting. But he squandered us in wars. Taxes will revert to higher rates if the Democrats win in 2012 in spite of the obvious, provable optimum per The Genesis Curve.

In 2009 the Federal Reserve gave banks two trillion Dollars which they put into the stock market inflating it rather than lending to home buyers and business people where returns are regulated. They think they can beat the market with "real smart fellers" and computer models. Remember Long Term Capital? With a Nobel Prize winner and computers they nearly collapsed the world economy. We are replaying 1929 with a socialist cast. When we collapse it will be far worse. Ben Bernanke will have absolute power with his printing press. Simple math is the basis of our income tax history and destiny.

Meet The Press

David Gregory did yet the finest interview of his term on the longest running political show on television with Chief Obama Campaign Strategist David Axelrod, who could play Hitler with a toupee and 20 less pounds. We may never fault Mr. Axelrod for inconsistency: He was “laser focused” on the Obama class envy tack when he said:

“It is, uh, not right, uh, that someone, uh, like Governor Romney, uh, can make, uh, 20, uh, 30 million, uh, Dollars and, uh, pay a tax rate, uh, lower than a middle, uh, class, uh, person in, uh, this economy,” said the man from Chicago. You can tell liberals with all their "uh's." Conservatives speak without hesitation.

Let us remind Mr. Axelrod that all the way up to the 50^th percentile Americans pay no income taxes. Does not that include said “middle class?”

David Gregory immediately hit Axelrod with a quote from David “Crease in his pants” Brooks, the New York Times faux conservative, who wrote:

“This election is about averting national decline. The President is making a mistake in ceding the size advantage to the Republicans. The Republicans at least speak with epic alarm about the nation’s problems. They are unified behind big tax and welfare state reforms that would purge Washington and shake things up. The President is making a mistake in running a Sunset Blvd. campaign saying “I am big it’s my Presidency that got small.”

I do not understand Brook's use of “size” or a “Sunset Blvd. campaign,” but then key to being an Eastern elite is to speak in tongues and have to explain it with great patience to those daring to question and most often seen in sit down shoes and stand up girdles.

Meanwhile back at “the museum” Mr. Axelrod delivers his sword thrust, to Mitt Romney, “It’s not, uh, right, uh, that, uh, someone like, uh, Governor Romney, uh, can make, uh, 20, uh, 30 million Dollars, uh, and pay, uh, a tax rate, uh, lower than, uh, a middle class person, uh, in this, uh, economy, uh.” Gee, that sounds familiar.

We have shown this not to be the case, but then Mr. Axelrod went on with a libel that would be actionable were it not for Mr. Romney’s “public person” status saying:

“He’s, uh, done it, uh, by, uh, closing, uh, 1,000 plants, uh…” No more than 110 companies were in Bain dealings. And, “…by loading, uh, companies down with, uh, debt, uh, and then, uh, putting them, uh, into bankruptcy, uh, on, uh, which he, uh, and his, uh, partners made, uh, hundreds of millions, uh, of Dollars, uh.”

Not only is this a lie, illegal, felonious and stupid, but it gives the Romney campaign ammunition for a verbal Gatling gun fusillade dare Mr. Obama produce that line in a debate.

Rick Santorum

In what we think will go down as a “tortoise-hare” race we believe that Rick Santorum will be the Republican nominee. No place was it more clear than the Florida State University debate Thursday, January 26, 2012.

Mitt Romney may well take Florida after having spent millions of media Dollars. He has been campaigning in Florida for years. He did everything right, now coming after Newt Gingrich with a well-founded, and funded, effort. He has a team of researchers digging into everything about Newt. He uses enough Great Day to float a boat. His hair is so perfect he must be drinking the stuff, but one thing is wrong:

Mitt Romney is a big government, all-knowing, all-seeing, all-doing guy. It is from his Mormon roots, which are communal. That works in small communities where everybody is your cousin, but in a nation where nobody is, it fails. Man is basically a flawed, grabby, greedy predator and you need look no further than his incisors to know the he is meat eater and that is of what you are made.

Capitalism works because it gives man an acceptable place to exercise his basic impulse in a way that can help everyone if he has the freedom to exploit his talents, discoveries and works in trade. Communal systems are antithetical to the nature of man. We are not wired that way. This is the reason so many people are so very uneasy about Mitt Romney.

Newt is another bag: For him to ask us to believe Freddy Mac gave him $1.6 million for history lessons is ridiculous, intellectually insulting and a damn lie. He has a history of being erratic. Very few trust him enough to send him even $50. The guys supporting him are big bucks bozos who will call at the White House demands in hand. Contributors get 100,000:1 of our money for “donations.” I am not willing to support Newt unless he is the last man. Anybody, but Barack 2012.

Rick Santorum brought the whole show to a head when he said, “…the global warming hoax.” Mitt and Newt stood with teeth clenched unable to second Rick. They have to know he was right, but…

Mitt and Newt know the control and taxing of carbon is the key to more power and money than anything that has happened in our politics since Pearl Harbor. That taught the elected ruling class panic power politics and they have played the American people like a violin ever since. The Soviet nuclear threat was 99.44% BS promoted by our people. Now it’s “Save the planet!” The good news is the Republican primary process will give us the best man and it looks like Rick Santorum.

A Rainey Night In Georgia

In a hearing before Judge Michael Malihi of the Georgia state Office of State Administrative Hearings ruled, “State law requires every candidate for federal office who is certified by the state executive committees of a political party or who files a notice of candidacy shall meet the constitutional and statutory qualifications for holding the office being sought,” and, “State law also grants the Secretary of State and any elector who is eligible to vote for a candidate in the state the authority to raise a challenge to a candidate’s qualifications”

The court's opinion also clearly stated that Georgia law allows Sec. of State Weldon to challenge candidate Obama's Constitutional qualifications to hold the office of President. This ruling ensures the Georgia court will be the first court to address the substantive Constitutional issue of eligibility. All other courts that have heard challenges to Obama's Constitutional qualifications to hold office have refused to address the substantive issue and have dismissed cases on procedural grounds and not matters of substance, ducking the issue.

In the case Minor v. Happersett, 88 U.S. 162 (1875), the U.S. Supreme Court ruled: "The Constitution does not in words say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that. At common law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners. Some authorities go further and include as citizens children born within the jurisdiction without reference to the citizenship of their parents. As to this class there have been doubts, but never as to the first."

Furthermore: United States v. Wong Kim Ark, 169 U.S. 649 (1898), was decided in a similar fashion and from the Minor case: "At common law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children, born in a country of parents who were its citizens, became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners."

And, earlier rulings: Venus, 12 U.S. 8 Cranch 253 253 (1814), Shanks v. Dupont, 28 U.S. 3 Pet. 242 242 (1830), and Dred Scott v. Sandford, 60 U.S. 393 (1857), the U.S. Supreme Court has declared: a "natural born Citizen" is one who is born on U.S. soil to U.S. citizen parents. Barack Hussein Obama II is, therefore, not a natural born citizen and must be removed from the Presidential ballots in all fifty states!

For Mr. Obama it was a rainy night in Georgia.

Unring The Bell

In a story that should be on the front pages of every major newspaper and leading every national newscast World New Daily published that a Georgia State Judge is daring to go where no American jurist has gone before: To require the President of the United States to appear and testify at a hearing regarding his eligibility to run for his office. There have been 28 such cases filed in as many states.

This could well be the story of the century and yank the underpinnings from the Federal judiciary. The previous cases of this kind have been kept under a media blackout making the Internet and its’ publishers that much more important. It could go down as the straw that broke the major media’s back, if it can be assumed they ever had one.

Mr. Obama’s attorney writing to the Georgia Secretary of State, claimed, “serious problems” had developed for "hearings pending before the Office of State Administration Hearings,” and “At issue in these hearings are challenges that allege President Obama is not eligible to hold or run for re-election to his office, on the now wholly discredited theory that he does not meet the citizenship requirements.”

The Secretary of State responded, “I expect the administrative law judge to report his findings to me after his full consideration of the evidence and law. Upon receipt of the report, I will fully and fairly review the entire record and initial decision of the administrative law judge.”

“Presidential electors and Congress, not the state of Georgia, hold the constitutional responsibility for determining the qualifications of presidential candidates,” Obama’s lawyer argued. “The election of President Obama by the presidential electors, confirmed by Congress, makes the documents and testimony sought by plaintiff irrelevant.” The judge did not agree, writing:

“Defendant argues that ‘if enforced, [the subpoena] requires him to interrupt duties as president of the United States’ to attend a hearing in Atlanta, Georgia. However, defendant fails to provide any legal authority to support his motion to quash the subpoena to attend.” And, continuing…

“Defendant’s motion suggests that no president should be compelled to attend a court hearing. This may be correct. But defendant has failed to enlighten the court with any legal authority,” Law school anyone?

“Specifically, defendant has failed to cite to any legal authority evidencing why his attendance is ‘unreasonable or oppressive, or that the testimony… [is] irrelevant, immaterial, or cumulative and unnecessary to a party’s preparation or presentation at the hearing, or that basic fairness dictates that the subpoena should not be enforced.”

It could well be Mr. Obama is disqualified from the ballot in the state of Georgia. Six other states have such cases pending. Will they use this as precedent? Will the threat of the President cutting off Federal funds prevail? How many states can the DNC afford to lose? What will Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who could play Stella Dallas, say?

In the ways of the law this rings a bell and Barack Obama cannot unring the bell.

Mr. Obama's Enemies

So far removed from reality was Mr. Obama’s Tuesday, January 24, 2012 address we wonder if he has lost his mind or thinks we are stupid. It began with a claim, “…the nation is strong and getting stronger!” The first and biggest lie. America is broke.

The unemployment rate he claims is 8.5% is nearly double if you go to the DOL.gov Table A-15 where all whose benefits have expired, but are no longer counted by the Obama Administration. If included the national unemployment rate is 15.2%

Furthermore, several statisticians say the Department of Labor is totally ignoring young people who never had a full time job. Four million high school graduates and several hundred thousand college grads fit that profile and they are ignored! If added to the real total we are over 20% unemployed. That is generally considered a "critical mass."

Mr. Obama claimed George W. Bush “lost four million jobs in his last six months.” This is a spin we sorted out in "Not So Fast, Mr Obama." ABC News confirms America lost only 3,506 jobs over the six months prior to Mr. Obama’s swearing in so he’s either lying or lost touch with reality.

The ABC News piece “Fact Checking the President” gives him very low marks in 12 areas of the address for either saying something utterly false or misleading. We do not think this means ABC is going to flip on Mr. Obama, but the piece is something that surely sounded the “Dive! Dive!” klaxon in the White House and is a signal that major media is nervous.

His most worrisome thrust is class warfare demonizing “the rich.” It is a classic socialist trick that works because there are more poor than rich. The prototype American millionaire is not a Kennedy, who picked the right father, or a Kerry, who picked the right wives, but a guy who has a small business that employs less than ten people, including “mom and pop.”

We have a small number of people in America who know how to make things happen. They find great companies; the Warren Buffett way. Or, look for companies not doing well or knowing how to grow and bring them capital with expert management like Mitt Romney. By far most of the money these people make goes to the investors after the workers get 80% of it.

Sometimes investors lose. Remember September 2008? They invest earned money that has been taxed and they are responsible for our economic growth. They are to be encouraged, not taxed out of business as they are today. To socialists they are an enemy; Mr. Obama’s enemies.

The Florida Republican Debate

The January 23, 2012 NBC Florida Republican debate will be the last one we see without audience participation. We were surprised and disappointed Newt not castigate the lovely Brian Williams for quenching the audience.

Major media is looking like outfits made for all the folks who missed the Gestapo and Hitler’s SS. The audience was told, “No applause, standing or noise during the debate” and they obeyed! Talk about “sheeple!” Has America become that much of a “People’s Democratic Republic of….” in the era of political correctness.

The lovely Brian Williams, who could play “Mary Noble, backstage wife” in drag, moderated the first hour. Then, he was joined by two forgettable local “talents” doing poor imitations of major media mavens beating up on Republicans.

True unemployment is 15.6% (DOL.gov, Table A-15) or 22.7% per statisticians including the young never employed. They are not counted by Department of Labor statisticians. Four million of them enter the economy every year. For the term of Barack Obama there are 12 million young folk. This puts the real national unemployment rate at 22.7%! It is the burning issue of our nation and the lovely Brian Williams should have broached it, but instead he said:

“Electability, Mr. Gingrich…” rattling off all the "Newt stinks" stuff. Newt batted him down so he turned to Mitt Romney. Mitt swerved away well, but it is this kind of focus for which we must never forgive “The Fourth Estate.” This is what produced Obama and may well re-elect him!

In spite of the lovely Brian Williams, who could play Mary Noble, Newt and Mitt had a good exchange. Mitt pulled a sword and hit Newt on the $25,000 per month Fanny Mae fee. Newt gasped saying Mitt said “four things that were untrue,” but did not quote one.

Newt was visibly flumoxed. He tried to say he was “consulting” and that Romney did the same with Bain, but Mitt replied consulting for a business is not like consulting for government. Government takes money at gunpoint; an important difference.

Media people. like lovely Brian Williams, have Constitutional protection, authority and responsibility to inform the people of the mischief of the elected ruling class. They only do the job on Republicans. While they may serve us well when Republicans are in power they fail when Democratics are ensconced. They are too stupid to see it and the lovely Brian Williams proved it again in the Florida Republican debate.

Oil Forever

The U. S. Geological Service issued a report in April 2008 that should have changed America. It revealed that America has more oil than Saudi Arabia in the western Dakotas and eastern Montana!

The Bakken Oil Reserve is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska's Prudhoe Bay and it could eliminate all American dependence on foreign oil!

The Energy Information Administration (EIA) confirmed over 500 billion barrels in the reserve. At $100 per barrel that is $50 trillion!

Why are we not using it? Environmentalists resist all efforts to tap it. Why are they always successful? Does it fit the harm America agenda?

On a warm summer night in 1971 I drove through it on old US 8 in a VW bus crossing the country with a big dog and a history teacher giving a running lecture on the Indian wars, Custer’s last stand and much more, but I could only perceive petroleum thanks to a good nose and an undergrad major in Chemistry.

Authorities say we have more oil in the Bakken field than all the proven reserves in the world today! But, the Obama Administration claims if it were put into production it would have no effect on the world market so we should not bother! This is an impeachable offense. Environmentalists claim burning fossil fuel will destroy all life on Earth by raising the temperature two Celsius degrees! But, that is exactly what the temperature was from 800 AD to 1300 AD, the Medieval Warming period Michael Mann erased to make Al Gore’s famous “hockey stick.” It was an utter fraud in science and a period when wine grapes grew in Britain, Europe was awash with grain, Viking sheep grazed in Greenland and the world was at peace.

Newt Gingrich’ decimation of the lovely John King has gone off in major media circles like a stink bomb. All “talking head” political show “round tables”rehearse, but that did not save “This Week” from becoming a fiasco with every guest doing a Bill O’Reilly, step on everyone. At one point all were talking. It was literally unviewable.

Said panel included Ron “Bullets” Brownstein, aka Mr. Nina Easton, drop-dead-beautiful-Boston-big-strong-girl he snagged to the envy of every man seeing Fox shows. Katrina Vanden Huevel, who could play Cruella deVille with her own wardrobe. Matt Dowd of ABC and very sharp, Amy Walter, ABC Political Director, plus George Will.

Replays of Newt’s responses to Juan Williams and the lovely John King inspired frantic gasping explanations that it was not what they seemed, but something else they could not quite define and that it all means nothing going into Florida “where media prevail!” Whew! Thank God!

Matthew Dowd was as I have never seen him: He seemed to be sitting on a hot seat or needing Preparation H. He stepped on Amy and even Katrina who’s evil glance can drop an in-flight sparrow at 20 feet, but her main concern was all the attention the younger, smarter Amy was getting.

George Will noticeably looked to Amy for confirmation on several facts and this did not sit well with Miss Vanden Huevel. Then she had a coif-calamity as a hank of hair fell to her mouth seemingly seeking her mouth! She could be seen dealing with it in two take-a-ways. You can be sure a Manhattan hair dresser got caned after that show. Never cross Katrina!

The show was such a disaster Matthew Dowd reached all the way back to the Roman Senate to explain the Obama Administration, but before he could smile George Will delivered the only “pull quote:” “That sanguine review of the Roman debates deserves a minor dissent,” shooting him down with an explanation of utter clarity and refutation.

George also maintained that Newt’s ascension is not without much Republican revulsion as he is seen as a loose cannon on the deck and not the best choice by any means.

It was truly a show that could be called an aftershock.

The Fourth Branch of Government

Newt Gingrich ran away with South Carolina. The pundits give credit to skill on the podium. Certainly that is a factor, but something far more basic is at work and the pretty people of TV are having trouble with it.

America is a country with four branches of government and not the three in Civics textbooks. The fourth branch, or “estate” is the press. The people are furious with them for having given us a bad joke for a President. He was elected for the color of his skin and if that is not racism then I am a banana.

Where major media had Rick Perry’s college grade average and transcript on the wires three hours after he announced his candidacy they have yet to put up anything regarding Barack Hussein Obama’s matriculation. For the 100 years we have had Presidents with college degrees it has been routine for the press to examine their grades, interview their teachers and run their papers, theses and writings of many kinds. No such scrutiny of Mr. Obama before or after he was "immaculated," as Rush Limbaugh declares.

The two books attributed to Mr. Obama were written by other people. Bill Ayers takes credit for “Dreams of my Father.” An English team of literary analysts agree pointing particularly to seafaring allusions common to men like Ayers who spent several years in the merchant marine. Mr. Obama has no such experience. Ayers now complains bitterly, “I never got a penny,” but Barack gets millions from that book. Ayers voice is in that book.

I read “The Audacity of Hope” and as one who has put over two million words in print in 12 books, 100 features and columns for 12 national magazines from SEVENTEEN to The Smithsonian with most in the photographic press where I was West Coast Editor for Popular Photography writing a monthly column and a Founding Contributing Editor for PhotoGraphic Magazine as well as the only American made Fellow to the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain for my contributions: I heard five voices in that book. Were any Mr. Obama’s? I do not know as I have yet to hear it.

The man is a total fraud and the American people know it. Newt plucks that string. It is resonating loudly and clearly. Major media know not how to deal with it nor can they hear the funeral dirge for what was the fourth branch of government.

Destroying America

President Obama cancelled the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada while blaming Republicans because they wanted him to make a decision within 60 days! It has been in development for several years and approved by everybody, but petulant President Obama.

Keystone XL would net one million barrels of oil a day and reduce our need for imported oil 10%. Add this to his intransigence on Gulf of Mexico, offshore plus all oil on government lands and you see Mr. Obama is destroying our economy as if he were a foreign born agent with an agenda like notorious Saul Alinsky!

Environmentalists have long opposed this pipeline as it supports “fossil fuel.” Mention Keystone XL and they go into catatonia; not the small town in Illinois of the same name.

Carbon combustion makes 80% of all energy and 99.9% of that which makes wheels go round, save coal fired-electric cars. There is no substitute for carbon fuels. It is the atom of choice for packing energy into small volumes easily handled and utilized.

The Obama Administration claims the planned route takes it through “an environmentally sensitive area” a western wasteland preserve only lightly disturbed for a few weeks as the pipe is put in a narrow trench soon covered over by weeds. The “Greens” claimed it threatened the aquifer several hundred feet down, but the line carries a gooey tar sand slurry that goes nowhere in a line break and none are expected as this will be "Made in America."

China offered to pay Canada for a pipeline to the Pacific and build a billion Dollar refinery for tar sands which would make them a major oil producer cornering the North American market. Mr. Obama does not care. "How about that Saul?"

The unions want the pipeline as it would make 22,000 jobs now and 130,000 ultimately. We have to wonder if Obama as lost his mind as the unions are his biggest supporters! He has a greater agenda.

A clue to that agenda is his bow to and gift of our space weaponry secrets to Russia “…so they will trust us,” under a soft-headed, liberal excuse if we are nice to them they will like us! Our Skunk

Several very important things happened in the CNN South Carolina Debate January 19, 2012. Not only did Newt Gingrich get the ball and run with out, “out of the gate,” but the audience documented how deeply is the divide between the major media and the people. They clearly hold the guys who used to wear pork-pie hats and carry Speed Graphics responsible for Barack Hussein Obama, our disaster of a President.

John King, a pretty face with a room-temperature IQ, walked into the buzz-saw named Newt with his opening question. Newt could not have put him away faster with a dueling pistol. It was the most entertaining moment on TV in 2012. I doubt it will be topped this year.

John King looked like the aftermath of an encounter with an 18 wheeler as the standing audience applauded Newt and booed King. In a small town he would be running alleys to get home every day. Who knows how long he will be at CNN? He is now a huge embarrassment.

King is tall, trim and good-looking with the symmetrical face we all find attractive as it connotes harmony at the genetic level. He pretty enough to play a girl in makeup and heels, but wears the Boston brogans common to “the suits” and Rachel Maddow. He is compulsively liberal by trade, but no deeper than a birdbath or interesting than a bowl of boiled beets.

After Newt’s spectacular salvo we again saw that Mitt Romney is incapable of explaining important concepts in simple terms. That is a requirement of the office because it demonstrates functional understanding. Even quantum mechanics can be expressed in simple terms. That he cannot say of his income, “Invested money is at risk. Remember September 2008? It has already been taxed once and is critically important to an economy. That is why the tax rate is low; to encourage investment.” Mitt cannot get those words out of this mouth! He should be flogging the likes of King and not stumbling before him. No cigar, Mitt.

We could well see Newt run the table in South Carolina on top of Mitt’s having lost the patina of a “win” in Iowa tying with a man who has no chance. He has lost the mantle of inevitability in this contest and it looks like a terminal illness. Mitt has invented a way to lose and win simultaneously. Don't patent that one, Mitt.

Newt has many flaws and denies he asked his wife for an open marriage, but even if he did he is one Hell of a man and a square shooter of a skunk. 99 and 44/100ths of all men would never dare, but it is sad Newt has not learned the great lesson of high school: “One woman may not be enough, but two is too many.”

Yes, Newt may be a skunk, but it’s OK if he is our skunk.

Dear Mr. Brown:

I called your office yesterday and had the pleasure of dealing with a young man named Kevin. I then spent the evening going through my 2007 files and on finding my Federal 1040 Form discovered that my gross IRS income for that year was as I stated it to the FTB and not what they claim. They inflated it significantly.

The FTB did not cash the check sent with my 2007 return. That matter was resolved about a year ago in another exchange with them. They accused me of not having included the check. They were unable to explain why they waited several years to let me know and were adamant it was my fault they did not cash my check. It was sent but not processed so I have no proof. Given their usurious interest rates and penalties this could be a new revenue stream, but a fraud in process.

I must see the document the FTB claims the IRS sent showing my income greater than reported. If they refuse this is a prima facie case of fraud or incompetence and actionable either way. I have been put through great distress over this matter at the hands of arrogant and uncommunicative FTB people. I have been paying taxes in California for 52 years and I will not abide this abuse. I will see this to conclusion.

The CA FTB Senior Ripoff

The California Franchise Tax Board, FTB, has created a way to help Jerry Brown cover promises to Public Employee Unions, in a new scam we call, “Senior Ripoff.”

We have 2.7 million Social Security recipients in California getting about $15,000 per year, untaxed. It drives Democrats nuts so they hatched a scam sending seniors duns for 2007 tax returns stating they did not declare their SSI income and have to pay a fine of $95.25, interest of $145.51 and an “adjustment” of $280.77 for a total of $740.99.

I reported this in October on first notice, (See EmpireStrikes Back) to which I not only responded explaining their errors, but sent copies to the Governor, my State Senator and State Assembly person. No response. Another dun came this Friday the 13^th telling me I have two weeks to pay up. However…

The fine is for not having filed a return, thus said fine is fraudulent as I have both a postal receipt and a cancelled check for that tax return and they know it.

The dun says the “adjustment” is for deducting “Taxable Social Security per IRS,” but their instructions read, “Enter the amount of the US Social Security benefits or equivalent Tier 1 railroad retirement benefits reported on form 1040A, line 14b or Form 1040, line 20b.” There is no mention of “IRS untaxable portion” anywhere. You are clearly instructed to subtract the entire SSI benefit from your total income in the Franchise Tax Board’s instructions!

2.7 million times $741 is $2 billion! This would help Jerry Brown pay the public employee union benefits on the backs of private sector elderly. True vulture politics.

The FTB relies on the elderly fearing them and not having the capacity or taking the time to read tax form instructions and dare to challenge them. This is utterly despicable. I am furious over the CA FTB Senior Ripoff.

He Caught The Light

On a summer morning in 1966 I got a call from a book publisher picture editor in New York City. She had been referred to me by one of my filmstrip publishers as someone who could be relied on to do something quickly and well. Did I have or could I get six pictures of LAX, all straight forward textbook stuff, but one of someone just coming into the terminal and welcomed by a group of people. They would pay $600 which then was a top fee for such work. I said “Yes,” packed my gear and headed to the airport.

The exteriors were easy and done quickly. I knew the “arrival” picture she wanted would be a problem, but I was prepared to camp out for the day to get it. I could drop the film at an overnight lab and have the package in the air the next day. Clerks at the desks were no help. They didn’t know of anyone famous coming in and I had the feeling they would not have told me if they knew.

My strategy was to run from gate to gate looking for a crowd. After only three tries I found one and everyone was well dressed. A real plus for me as people were dressing down for travel. I took position to get someone just coming from the plane into the terminal and caught by a strong, overhead light as my small camera flash would only make “fill” to bring out faces.

The plane docked. A few uninteresting people came out and all avoided the well lit spot so I wondered, “Am I going to have a problem?” Suddenly he appeared: Dr. Martin Luther King and he stopped in the light!

I got a couple of shots knowing what I had as his smile never stopped, but suddenly I went forward and put my hand out to him saying, “Dr. King, I just want to thank you for what you’re doing for America.”

Soon I saw four of the biggest black faces I had ever seen moving in. It was like an NFL backfield. Dr. King turned to two of them and mouthed, “It’s OK,” and I backed out of the scene as he was enveloped by the people. I knew I had the shot.

I got the pictures off the next day and three days later received a check for $1,200 with gushing thank you note. Of Dr. King I could say, “He caught the light.”

A New Verb

It isn’t often we see a new word enter the language and know how it happened, but such is the case with a new verb soon to be seen in our dictionaries, “newturd" (pro. neutered) – a politician that immolated his candidacy with bizarre and nonsensical or insane ravings.”

Newton Q. Gingrich’ claim Mitt Romney, “…took failed company’s profits to make millions” ended when a junior high school journalist asked how “failed companies” had profits to take, beating major media with the obvious.

Ever with quick rejoinder Newt said, eyes glaring at said journalist, replied, “They borrowed millions of Dollars on them and then took the money!” Thus, Newt explains how Bain Capital turned free enterprise into “vulture capitalism.” Smart? Not by half…

Not only is this nuttier than the accusation of taking profits of "failed corporations," but who would lend "millions of Dollars" to a company without examining their books? If they falsified records to defraud said lender there would be investigations, arrests, trials and convictions! The Speaker "newturd" himself.

Meanwhile on “Today Without Bean Lady, Christiana Amanpour, but a short guy,” also short Paul Krugman, it's like Munchkinland, made the case Mitt Romney’s Bain Capital experience disqualified him to be President because it was so different from running a country.

OK, so organizing rabble in South Chicago, consorting with known terrorist bombers, mob bag men, racist America-hating preachers for 20 years, never knowing what they say while one sells DVD’s of his rants, voting “Present” in the State Legislature while studying a thin book of thick hate written by Chicago’s leading Communist since your mentor, and maybe father, Frank Marshall Davis left for Hawaii are credentials for the Presidency? Is that what you mean Doctor Krugman? Does this top your ten page paper “Swedish people buy foreign cars because they like them? That got you a Nobel Prize and $1 million.

We left out New York Times’ David Brooks writing that he knew Barack Obama would be a great President, “…because of the sharp crease in his pants. I’ve never seen such a sharp crease!” Or, Chris Matthews getting, “a thrill running up my leg every time he speaks.” These things all happened after Mr. Obama became President.

Paul Krugman also presented his idea on Fareed Zakaria’s CNN “GPS” show so it looks like the new DNC mantra. When does Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who could play Stella Dallas, use it?

As the sun sinks slowly on California gurgling in the night to the sounds of flushing toilets and breaking windows in lawless sanctuary cities, we celebrate “newturd,” a new verb.

The Future of Publishing

It’s been a bad year for book publishing, in some ways worse than for business in general. In 2011 Amazon became a publisher in print and electronic, Kindle, media. The “print-on-demand” folks have made every jerk with a word processor a published author. If you read some of their ideas on the social bulletin boards you won’t know whether to laugh, cry or throw up.

Meanwhile, Borders closed, Random House rearranged the deck chairs and consolidation has been the name of the game. A book series I had pending with a major publisher went on hold. Nowhere is “the fat lady singing.” Publishing is in turmoil.

Jeremy Greenfield, Editorial Director of Digital Book World noted Kindle has 14 authors who have sold over a million ebooks. With their 70% royalty structure even at their low-ball $2.99 price that is over $2 million! But, Kindle has 900,000 books and 14 is 0.0015%. Your chances of that kind of success are one in 64,000. Worse than those for getting struck by lightning while playing golf in Florida. The economics of the book business are horrible, but I have an answer.

Blogs are very popular and people search for them with search “strings” like “conservative politics” to get titles like “The Two Minute Conservative.” This generation is also very hip to electronic media and games. What if they could get books with search strings like “sci-fi asteroid apocalypse interactive book” as they are looking for a game-like experience that reads like a book, but plays like a game where it has several possible outcomes, paths or stories within. And, suppose this book is free because it is carrying advertising like radio and TV?

I have two experimental examples in what I think is the future of publishing at http://CO2Au.blogspot.com, from a patent project and http://ApocalypseAsteroid.blogspot.com, an experiment I would like you to examine. They have ads running and simulated product placements. The characters never drive a “car,” they drive a “Ford Fusion,” etc. They may smoke "Marlboros" as the tobacco people have nowhere to spend ad money, but little do they know we kill them off in the last chapter for their careless ways. Don Draper never finishes a book.

There is no reason these techniques cannot be adapted to educational materials, all free, updatable, sponsored by people selling stuff. We can simulate everything with choices for students to learn from without harm, danger or embarrassment. We can support everything with studies and data citations they can confirm. There is nothing that cannot be simulated safely and educationally. This is the future of publishing.

Socialism Cannot Abide Happy People

On October 30, 2011 the Japanese NHK major media company broadcast a story that has been embargoed by our socialist media. This story proves the label is valid. They thrive on death, destruction and misery. Today’s Pulitzer prize reporter promotes the idea you deserve more “free stuff” for which "the rich" should pay. "Spread the wealth!" "From each as he may give. To each as he shall need."

The biggest and best scheme socialism has hatched since they quit shooting people for money because dead men don’t pay taxes, is man-caused global warming. This is all predicated on carbon dioxide controlling the atmosphere by warming it.

They picked a bummer molecule as CO2 is a poor absorber of IR, as any sharp junior high school science nerd can explain, and there is very little of it in the atmosphere. There are between 64 and 256 times as many water vapor molecules in air as CO2’s and every one absorbs heat energy from sunlight seven times better which means heating by water vapor is always more than 99.9% of the action. CO2 is a vapor tiger.

Nonetheless the UN flogs us with the myth saying evil America makes most of the CO2; is poisoning the planet and we should pay! But, the Japanese IBUKU satellite, launched in June 2009 designed to measure how much CO2 comes from where revealed the “third world” is the big offender! (Note: The similar DSCOVR satellite by NASA was sabotaged three times on the launching pad, never getting into orbit. Sabotage?)

The green areas on the map are CO2 using areas with agriculture the cause while the third world, burning wood, weeds and waste for fuel, makes more CO2 and is responsible for the 30% increase of the last 50 years! Therefore Japanese scientists conclude the third world owes us money by their calculation of the “damage” done to “the planet” as claimed by the UN skunks.

I disagree and think we should pay the third world for their CO2 as both our corn and orange harvests are up 30% due to their gas. These are the only two commodities for which there is documentation, but I’ll speculate all are positively affected. We've made billions from their CO2!

Let us not forget the Medieval Warming Period Michael Mann erased in the IPCC data to make his notorious “hockey stick” has exactly the parameters the “greens” claim would bring the end of civilization. During that 500 year period Europe was awash with grain, a growing population and happy people, but socialism cannot abide happy people.

At The Event Horizon

You do not have to be a mathematician, statistician, engineer or physicist to see the path of our national debt curve is unsustainable. If this were an aircraft it would have stalled and fallen out of the sky in 2007 if not 2002 when it first stumbled. That was the point of sustainability as the curve clearly shows. America is running on fumes.

This simple data, and knowing we have an Administration dreaming only of higher taxes, more controls and people dependent on it waiting for national failure, riots in the streets, national emergency, calling out the National Guard, declaring martial law, cancelling the election, to the applause of the elected ruling class as they get jobs for life and a "President for the duration," a Constitutional Convention held at Saul Alinsky Memorial Hall in Chicago with the burning of the old, tattered, beaten down, crumpled document drawn by "old white men who wore silk stockings and high heels." "Free at last!"

California always goes first. There may be something to the idea large bodies of water soften the brains of elected ruling folk. It was an act of God or Satan putting Jerry Brown back on the throne just in time to have his “chickens come to roost,” in the words of the immortal Jeremiah Wright.

Meanwhile public employee unions bankrupt California with $800,000 salaries for prison personnel and million dollar pensions. 13 San Jose, California firefighters have pensions of $1,000 per day. Many collect six figures per year and now want to make it part of their estates so their children can collect in perpetuity. Greed knows no bounds.

In 1929 equity funding carved a similar path much like housing funding in 2007. Passage of the Smoot-Hawley trade tariff legislation, affecting only 3% of our economy, triggered the equity markets collapse. We have a trigger in the debt ceiling issue. We are seeing fewer people buy T-Bonds. Dr. Robert B. Reich is getting his wish of 1990 that rich people can no longer afford T-Bonds. He thought that would prevent a larger National debt. Interesting that an economist is not aware of the printing press and 1923 Germany. So much for Ph.D.s. Mr. Bernanke is also conflicted on said history.

The Department of Labor claims the national unemployment figure for December is 8.6%, but their data shows if all the people who ran out of benefits and officially “given up” were included it would be 15.2%. See "Table A-15" at DOL.gov and read line "U-6"

Take Profits From Failed Companies?

Is Newt Gingrich nuts and everyone else stupid? Since when do “failed companies have profits?” Do Mr. and Mrs. America realize Gordon Gecko is not a real guy? Was H.L. Menken right that you’ll never lose a Dollar betting against the stupidity of the average American?

Newt Gingrich has proved, once again, why he should never be President of the United States. Newt is unstable.

When blind ambition drives a man to perform beyond his capacity he gets in trouble every time. This is what has driven Barack Obama up the pole so everybody can see his bare butt. He is so far over his capacity it proves Affirmative Action is a hanging crime.

We have made a monster over guilt for having treated Negroes badly from 1776 to 1865, 89 years of stupidity followed by 147 years of making bad worse by the Democratic Party and their auxiliary, the KKK. No wonder America is in trouble. 236 years of stupidity laced with institutionalized hate of the KKK kind and the "Democratics."

Newt does not understand that any company going into bankruptcy comes under the scrutiny of a bankruptcy court. Not one penny goes anywhere without the approval of a judge after herds of accountants and lawyers have been all over it. Talk about going off half-cocked with your cannon aimed at the keel! Newt is a disaster master.

At Bain Capital smart folks studied the books of failing companies, saw their mistakes, bought them cheaply, ran them well to make them marketable for someone to buy. That's a crime?

There are case histories in “B” school textbooks of Bain’s operations as examples of the way a free market heals itself. They saved thousands of jobs in the process. Even critics admit they were successful 98% of the time which is a far higher percentage than truth coming from Newt’s lips. And, magnitudes better performance than government. GM anyone? All they did was forestall bankruptcy a few years. It will return. The real problems are still in place!

Newt took $1.3 million from Fanny Mae for “history lectures” charging $30,000 an hour. Sure… He swears he never lobbied for them or tried to influence his old buddies in Congress to give Fanny Mae more billions of our money so they could pay Franklin Raines, and friends, over $100 million in bonuses. Newt got a pittance! No cigar Newt and pray tell how did Mr. Romney “take profits from failed companies?”

Not So Fast, Mr. Obama

One of Mr. Obama's most powerful talking points is that in the month before he took office the nation lost 700,000 jobs, thus "George W. Bush did it!" While it was the worst month in eight years, data analysis tells a different story:

Our oldest and most august equity index is the Dow Jones Industrial Average, the DOW. It has long been a predictor of the business climate and indicator of things to come, reacting quickly on information.

The chart tells us that on April 24, 2008 when John McCain was nominated the DOW looked on him with favor and it went up (A). On June 4, 2008 when Mr. Obama was nominated the DOW started down, with a most dramatic decline at (B) in October when it was clear Mr. Obama was going to be President. That conclusion put the market into free fall to bottom on the day of his inauguration.

Glowing expectations in the popular press and bragging about the new Cabinet "smart fellers," "Timothy Geithner is the only man who can do that job!' inspired an upturn (D). This was quite ordinary as the business community prefers the sunny side, but it was vaporous.

Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke went to work and from there the market has risen, but the rise came from a flush of borrowed money as it always appears first in the equities markets having come from banks as they invest excess cash in high quality equities. This has a "parade effect" of drawing other people into the market. But...

When no one showed to buy the Treasury's $100,000 "T-Bonds" Mr. Bernanke printed money, calling it “quantitative easing” and a new euphemism was born to cover a crime against our currency and asset values.

Surely the elected ruling class knows of the Laffer curve, (See Laffer Curve), the King’s Fifth and “Pharaoh’s one in five” of Genesis 47:24 (See Genesis Curve). These are educated people and they are “real smart,” as they say in Rio Linda. What do they teach in the Ivy League? Where is the empirical truth seeking an optimum relationship between the people and government? Has it eluded the elected folks? Or is it something else?

When the economy is taxed perfectly and the government gets 18.3% of our economy instead of the 40% they take now in federal, state and local taxes the nation thrives. If they tax more the economy shrinks and tax revenues decline, but elected folks become relatively more powerful. More people are dependent on them. They enjoy greater awe, respect from fear and applause basking in their power. The drug of power is an addiction quickly acquired by the elected ruling class.

Meanwhile back at the White House Mr. Obama is telling us, "Bush lost 700,000 jobs the month before I took office, "Not so fast, Mr. Obama."
