WARNING: Broken grammar ahead. I legit bumped my head a few days ago and I'm feeling pretty out of it as of late. Excuse the lack of articulation.

HELLO 9.5. IAH decided to milk the most out of the upcoming versions by withholding the Rescue Knight sisters, Natalie and Daria. BUT! They gave us the juicier characters, Ludin and Veronif. I can't complain. I'm pretty behind on a lot of characters, so I don't mind not having them. Gives me time to concentrate on the latter two.

So I've been experiencing some extreme lag and disconnecting. It's constant and has caused me to fail the Bounty Hunter Guild portion of the Veronif quest twice. Thankfully, I'm not too excited about getting her. I mean I know she's actually really useful and all, but training her is not at all a priority. But I do intend to get her as soon as possible.

There's also a new Pioneering Memorial system. We have to choose ONE out of the three available. When your points are positive, you have access to the shop, if I'm not mistaken. And they moved the Market Manager again. Again. Stop moving her, ffs.

ENTER CLOCK TOWER! Kritzkrieg led the Clock Tower raid this time. I joined as a helper for Lionel questors(questers? it's not a word, oh well) and as a Ludin questor. Everything went smoothly. I brought my Calyce. OKAY, despite her being expert, she does more damage than my Bernelli... so. Yeah. We had a Bernelli there already anyway.

After our glorious victory, we gave up trying to understand the 10th Floor and I went around taking screenshots. Looks cool. Her outfit matches the map.

LUDIN
So acquiring her wasn't exactly cheap nor easy. Well it wasn't difficult, really, but the part with the Naraka pieces was kind of lame. Thanks to Canislupus for handing me his few extra to minimize my costs in buying the Naraka pieces. And thanks to the Pig (Pyratic) for the help with the symbol as well. Lastly, thanks to Nakazora for selling me stuff at a slightly discounted price, it does help a lot. MAN, AM I ALWAYS POOR.

I went to the Capybara Mines with Kritzkrieg and company. It finished awfully fast with masters. Then for Gate of Fire, four of us didn't get the quest item. :| Just as Lavaleaf died, we were warped to a side platform. LOL. So I solo'd Gate of Fire with my elementalist, scout, and Torsche. It went pretty well. And a big thanks to Canislupus for his fire orb, I have no idea where mine went. :/

My thoughts on her voice: DEAR LORD, HAVE MERCY ON US ALL. Are you fucking shitty me, IAH? Like really, I thought Valeria was bad, but honestly, listening to them side by side... I've begun to really appreciate Valeria's exaggerated pa-cute voice.

With Ludin, she HONESTLY sounds like a much, much older woman (probably in her 40's), straining her voice a little bit, barely, to sound younger. There's hardly any effort to sound ~young~, which contrasts with Valeria's voice... who's a lot more convincing, sadly.

My biggest issue is that they left "OPPA" in their translations. Oppa means "older brother" in Korean, which is easily translatable, obviously... which means they purposely left it in. FOR WHAT REASON, I don't know, but fdbgjkfdshdkf I am seriously disappoint, IAH. But not surprised. Cutting corners with voice actors is just another way of maximizing profit.

with family, comes joy
I made an over-contrasted, blinding graphic thingy in commemoration of acquiring the von Hanens. Naming them proved to be interesting. I named my Lionel after Leon of Resident Evil 4. Another one of my heroes, I HAD IT ALL PLANNED OUT. Ludin... was named Lux Seraphine. I tried really hard to find a clashing name. Something destructive with something elegant, if you will. In the end, I stuck with Lux Seraphine, which means "bright fire."

And I also acquired Unlimited Shot for my much-neglected musk! OHOHO, it's like level 8 at the moment. Quite low. lol Given, I've only trained it for about an hour, so yeah. I'll definitely be training it soon. Hopefully, I'll be able to master my Brunie as well and master my Ludin.

Damn, this new patch is killing my already-nonexistent wallet.

MAY ALL YOUR HOPES AND ASPIRATIONS COME TO FRUITION, PEOPLE WHO DON'T SUCK AND/OR CELEBRATE CHINESE NEW YEAR. I ate a lot with family and friends. :D ANG BAO LAI (for those who don't understand, it means "please give me red envelopes")

sGE has an event going on in celebration of Chinese New Year. All mobs can drop an item called Lucky Pouch, which can be traded in to Feng Ling at Reboldoeux Queen's Gate for nicer items. They're mostly consumable event items, BUT THERE ARE ROSE WINGS IN THE MIDST! And Training B cards, which are always useful.

The Lucky Pouch drops are abundant and everywhere. The other day, during Bounty Hunters in the Occulta room, we got the "Generous Room" after defeating the boss guy. This room looks exactly like the Hrin Treasure Book room and we get 50 free Sunstones, essentially. I got about 6 or more Lucky Pouches along with the Sunstones.

This is what I had a few days ago. Not very fast, but I'm primarily training... Lionel! I have acquired him at last (well, I've only been back for 2 months technically, so it wasn't that long a wait). Thanks to Ripclaw's well organized Clock Tower raid.

He is currently Veteran 3 along with Valeria, who's Veteran 4. I really would love to get Innocentio and Punisher soon. Hopefully with Clock Tower's inclusion of Punisher in the roulette, I can get Punisher. I find getting loots on my own accord through raiding and otherwise, rather than buying them, is more rewarding. But much of my armor/weapons were readily made, so those don't count. But with my rings, necklaces, etc.... they were made by me. Feels good. :D

My philosophy is the same on merc'd characters that I can train myself. Special cases would be Adelina the Pirate, Idge the Battlesmith, etc. But with 9.5 coming up, I won't need to buy them merc'd. Those cash shop characters will be my next project, probably.

In any case, HCoF has updated to include new costumes. I always wanted to train my Calyce properly, so I bought Shadow Sting for her. And then I traded some extra things with a factionmate for Black Wisteria. And theeen I traded/bought the Black Veil from Nakazora. I'm pretty much in the negatives in terms of income. D: But I've been raiding a little more often, so I'm managing. Barely. Still in debt.

But my Calyce looks great and I'm looking into getting her a nice Crossbow. I'm quite jealous of Ashardalon's Angel Crossbow, but it'd be ironic for me to get it... I chose the ~dark side~ costume. lol But it'd be awesome.

To continue the tradition of editing screenshots that Shivers and I used to take when we were but wee noobs, we decided to take some in our costumes. It was a really fast edit because I was about to sleep, hence the inconsistencies and obvious mistakes lolol. It's okay. I like the contrasting costumes, they look nice. Would be cool to get both sets for a pair of Calyces.

So about me randomly using Calyce again: In Clock Tower, I saw how useful it was to be a Crossbow user. For one, they can penetrate heavy armor easily, something Flintlock users can't do. And regardless, I used my Calyce pretty often before Shadow Sting came out... now that it's out, she's even better and more optimal for raids. Her AR and penetration can reach really high levels and yeah. I decided I may as well train her. She's overused and like an iPod, somewhat overrated, but like with Bernelli, I can't deny her usefulness.

Aiming for 32/33ar Crossbow with ATK+AR. UHUHU.

In any case... 9.5 is coming up real close for sGE. I've been disconnecting and crashing constantly with 8.5 since my return, so... hopefully the more stable version will fix these things. There's been a lot of issues with crashing during bot reports as well, I heard.

CLOCK TOWER
I took part in the weekend Lionel Clock Tower raid with MinXiaoXl. While I don't particularly like the guy (due to many rumors and past issues I've had, which were minor to begin with), it is nice of him to lead these raids and open them up to everyone, ulterior motives aside (if there are any, which I doubt). What I like most about these raids is that members from all sorts of factions participate. I like to think we set aside political differences to raid together in ~harmony~.

I just barely finished the quest that was the prerequisite to gaining official entry into the Clock Tower. So I just brought Brunie (vet4) and my elementalist (expert1).

It began with 22 people, but one person disconnected, so we were left with 21 up until the very end.

Raid helpers, there were 3 Lionel. THEY WERE AWESOME.

I forget which floor this was, but the fucker ran away from us, so we ran off chasing it. It was funny though. It happened twice.

The Rio who supported us valiantly and died in our honor.

I REALLY LIKE CLOCK TOWER, IT IS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE AND I WANTED TO TAKE MANY SCREENSHOTS, but alas. I couldn't.

In the end, we couldn't finish Steamer due to both a lack of balance between DPS and time, but we'll make up for that next week. I hope. I really want Lionel soon. I wish I could participate in Ripclaw's Clock Tower raid, but the timing is awful for me... it conflicts with my schedule.

In any case, I like this raid a lot, so I won't mind joining in even after getting Lionel, as long as I'm free. I was the sole Hound-er with as the only Bernelli, so I'm glad I can be of some use. Currently, I only have lvl11 Hound though.

ARSENE
Yesterday, I dragged Canislupus and Fiammetta to Arsene.

Fiammetta ran the wrong way and died, leaving me and Canislupus to do it alone. LOL

For some reason, he couldn't buy Soul Crystal via Cash Shop, so... yeah. We were really left alone with no resu nor tank.

But with our powers combined, we overpowered Arsene UHUHUHUHU. Thanks to Canislupus's armor, I got +1 DR than my clean ELB. LOL Any extra help is greatly appreciated.

BOUNTY HUNTERS GUILD

Then I stupidly suggested doing Bounty Hunters Guild and we literally raided this for 3+ hours. Me, Pyratic, Canislupus, and Fiammetta. Afterwards, we went to Joaquin Barrier and that took another 10 minutes, so in total, we raided 3.5hrs straight and damn it all to hell if I have to do that again anytime soon. I think the best thing I got was Artisan's Gloves Recipe. Pyratic got 2 nice items, I believe Magic Earring Recipe and Magic Leather Belt Recipe. Or something.

THE END
I've had goals in Granado Espada that I never really mentioned. One of them include getting my hands on a Harpoon. YES, A HARPOON! I remember 4 years ago when I barely made my account, I saw someone in Cite de Reboldoeux with a regular Harpoon and I fell in love with its simplicity... its authenticity and lack of frills and fanciness. IT WAS A HARPOON! THE HARPOON! The sea! The nautical!

K, I bought one from a factionmate the other day.

I also bought the Capitaine Elementalist hair. I'm not a fan of the Capitaine costume itself, so I passed on it. I'm currently using the Mutation Elementalist, which isn't what I wanted to pair the hair with, but I'll find the costume I need soon enough. I was previously using the Blue Serpent, but it didn't suit the Capitaine hair very well in my opinion. Sad, I like Blue Serpent a lot.

Lag, Questing, Lionel & IRL Woes
There's been some intense lag/disconnecting in our midst, specifically in Byron and Battle Colosseum. I find it hilarious I decided to NOW finish my Lionel quest. I have wonderful timing, wouldn't you say? :|

I did all right in the branched-off Byron maps (Blood Bog Forest, for example), but I had a lot of trouble in the Lucifer Castle map and Byron itself. The maps that don't have mobs inherently, in other words. The part where [SPOILERS for Lionel/Lucifer quests] mobs spawn near the entrance of the warehouse took like 1 minute to register and by the time the lag cleared, my Torsche/Romina had like 5% HP left. My scout survived... but I had to return to the warehouse entrance a second time to get the last quest item from Gluttony.

Lionel may just well be my most expensive character, soon. Raven is currently my most expensive character because I don't bot/AI and I can't deal with several days of AFKing to acquire quest items. (I had no trouble with Claire/Viki, and I got them before the patch that increased the drop rate) I just bought off everything, fml. lol

I'd love to have Punisher, but I won't paytard for him because I'd rather buy food for my IRL pets. (they eat fucking expensive food because they're high maintenance fml) lol I'm okay with Outrage Shot for now. Though once the opportunity arises, I'll definitely jump at the chance of getting Punisher for a cheaper price. Remember when Symbol of Aquarius was 500m? LOL. Yeah. I can wait, broski.

I've yet to participate in Clock Tower raid though! Too busy with school again and most people seem to raid when I'm asleep. So I'll have to find a good time on one of my free days to stay up LifeLess-mode and raid. It'll be fun, I hope.

LIONEL, I WILL HAVE YOU SOON. My most wanted characters right now are Lionel, Grandice, and... Ramiro. I'm quite serious. DON'T JUDGE ME, his sprint is trollerific.

Family Developments
So I've been concentrating on leather fighter armor and have decided to train my elementalist and wizard. Wizard or Emolia? I decided on training all three. I've also decided to train Valeria and should I happen on Innocentio, I will keep it and use it.

I forgot to mention I acquired an Upgraded Enhanced Tactics ring some time ago. It costed about 600m total to acquire and upgrade, which isn't too bad I suppose. My scout is relatively decent for lower-tier, but I die so easily in higher-end raids and in Colony War.

Speaking of Colony War, my scout lasts the longest in CW. He doesn't last long though, mind you, but of my team, he lasts the longest. Which is probably 1 second. LOL. With full buffs, he's got like 71/72DR compared to the ridiculous AR that some people in TF/LC have. Like 75AR or some shit, DUDE. Go away, go fight someone worthy lol. I haven't been taking part in CW, but when I do, I mostly guard colonies... which is okay, for someone of my low caliber.

So my goal for the next patch is to acquire ELN for my scout and ELN fighter. With the next patch, ELN will be considerably easier to obtain and even now ELNr scout costs 500m or so. I've also decided on changing my team, but to what... I don't know. I've already known for a long time that my team is extremely flawed. dugunitrous realized this after he copied my line-up (HE REALLY, SERIOUSLY DID. he laughs that he finished it before I did lol damn) and changed his main team to Reckless/Scout/Torsche.

Far better for PVPing and raiding.

If I were to acquire Punisher, Lionel might be in my main line-up. Lionel/Scout/____? I'm not quite ready to ditch Torsche just yet, but I need anti-heavy armor. I just may have different main teams for different uses, just as I still use my fighter every now and then.

This has nothing to do with Loading Screens (it's not a draft of a design), but I made it for fun since I didn't have a Veronif design (only a tome design). Resized, so it looks a bit wonky. The original sized image could be made into a wallpaper, I think. I might make one. But it's too sparkly for my taste.

loading screen contest #5, for 9.5

I'm feeling really uninspired and "meh" about designing recently. I didn't partake in the last contest because I was absent for like 8 months, so getting back into the designing groove may take a while.

Plus, I'm really busy this vacation (not at home at the moment), so designing is being put on the back burner.

I wish they had that other Ludin costume as a prize, would inspire me to design better LOL. It's that white damask print with brown ruffles. Looks nice. I like the autumn leaves one that's being given as a prize as well, but that damask one is my favorite.

EXPLORE THE UNKNOWN.
Took this shot in Abertal and edited it to death. There was a version with my scout wearing Cronian Thanatos and due to some input, I changed it. Also, the Pig told me it wasn't convincing enough, so I added more snow. Very simple/boring design that took a long time to do.

THE SECRET OF AQUICHTUS.
Showcasing the dagger costumes, nothing special. Took a ton of screenshots for this to get the "perfect" shot, and I never did get that perfect shot, but it works okay.

BEATRICE.
I rendered an official kGE image and a screenshot I took of M'Boma. Some lightning textures used. Pretty simple and meh. I may change some things about this design... maybe adding a different angle of Beatrice as I'd planned originally.

TECHNICAL STRENGTH.
This is the quickest design I've made thus far... :/ The only tedious thing about it is the rendering for Daria and Natalie. Extremely simple. Combined their personal skill names for the title.

LUDIN.
I did some "painting" in this one, something I'm not really used to. It took a few hours to complete. Tried to make her look somewhat crazy and I suck at making realistic fire. Took quite some time for that lame attempt at fire. lol

VON HANEN.
Very simple and straightforward. What I'm having trouble with, though... is the name "von Hanen." I capitalized "Von" in the design because it looks really weird as "von Hanen" in the design. :/ Man. I'm putting it in "title format."

PRINCE OF ICE.
Ion. Used an official screenshot for this. A lot of textures to add a frosty feel. It feels very incomplete, may or may not add more to this design. It's kind of too simple for my liking, idk.

ALCHEMY.
I had no idea what to do with the Veronif/Beronif render I made, so I combined the two tome users to juxtapose them. As far as I know, Veronif is more of a healer type while Vincent is offensive? Veronif debuffs, etc. and Vincent buffs/has trollerific skills, etc.

GRANDIS.
Wanted to make a simple Grandis/Grandies design. It's really straightforward and didn't take too long to do, minus the rendering. I think the background was taken at Red Sunset, I forget.

MEMENTO MORI.
I used the same render from the Alchemy design and added another Vincent render I was using for an older design. Took the background at Torsche's laboratory. Want to create a sense of "sucking in," so I zoomed some parts of it.

Will update this as I design more. Honestly, there are so many upcoming characters and changes, I have no idea when I'm going to stop. lol I still have a lot of ideas and drafts of designs.

LONG DISCLAIMER: I don't design to win. Despite how I am, I really do design because it's been a hobby of mine from when I was around 13 or so. The prizes are, however, a great motivation for me because I do like to win. If I don't win, however... so be it. I have lost contests before, it's not a big deal. It hasn't discouraged me yet; in only pushes me to better myself.

I design a lot because I do not like my work very much, to be honest. I do it to "feel better" about my work. When I finish a design, I'm proud of it for... 30 minutes? Then I feel inadequate and feel I need to improve on it. However, I do not continue to work on the same piece and instead move on to a new one.

This is how I've always been. When I was an avid blogger, I used to make website templates every week.

I make this disclaimer because it may seem like I'm spamming the event to "increase my chances of winning." A lot of people make a ton of filler designs to "win." I do like to win, but it's a little deeper than just a desire for winning some intangible goods.

inb4 designing for a little contest is srs business: I'm working on getting into a field that requires some level of web/graphic design skill. I'm just passionate about what I like/want to do, that's all.

I don't care to be impressive to others, I care about impressing myself. I only really like about 2 or 3 designs I've done... the others are embarrassing to me. I appreciate the compliments I get on them, but I feel my work and skills are inadequate.

The problem with my way of thinking is that OTHER PEOPLE are the judges of my work, not myself. Thus I put myself in a position where I can fail horribly and possibly lose every single contest. However, my style is not very abstract... so I guess it works out for both parties. I do love my grunge though. If it weren't obvious enough lolol.

SO! I bought an Enhanced Tactics ring some time after my blog about needing one. Two entries down, that entry. YEAH. It costed about 550m or so. Didn't take much to upgrade it, had all the materials down. I usually borrow vis to buy anything above 500m, but I managed. Sold some crap I had sitting around and things like extra permanent wings helped.

I also attended the Fury Farm faction raid to acquire the Souveran medal. I DC'd and all of Eminence that attended waited for me LOL HOW "NICE." ~~That buff is pretty useful, every new Souveran is needed~~. I kid, the people in charge of the Souveran runs that day were Bryantt, MotorolaRokr (how do you even pronounce rokr), and ~~Derptits~~ Vugtis, the former two being some of the nicer members of Eminence. The latter being the derpiest.

In any case, I got two DHr from the raid.

I've also acquired two Secret of Aquichtus for Torsche's daggers. I was desperate for these because I hate the +6 glow of the Black Dagger and can't afford to +7 them just yet. And yet I bought costumes, MY PRIORITIES.

Used Pig's Torsche hair in this screenshot, but I have since bought the hair as well. It's hideous. I just couldn't get over how weird the costume looks without the hair, so I gave up and bought it. Honestly, as much as I dislike the Azalea costume, I can't wait for it. Better than this faux Victorian crap lol.

So the screenshot was from a set of over... 40 screenshots from a "photoshoot" of the dagger costumes. The sparkles and glows were natural-from the wings and the dagger costumes. They have a minute, spec-like sparkle. Looks nice.

In any case, I'm participating in the 9.5 Loading Screen contest, despite the prizes being mehh (for me), because I actually like the original Ludin costume more than the one they're giving to winners. They are also giving out that medal that the previous contest's winners received and 20k g-points. I've designed 5 loading screens for this contest thus far and have like 5 pending (they all suck and will probably be jokes). My next entry will talk about them and stuff.

I finally got the chance to complete basement raid. I was messing up a lot, kept forgetting to rebuff, my paper chars died a lot, etc. Somehow we managed and did pretty well. When Jeyem (Shivers) disconnected though...

The Pig (Pyratic) was literally 2% away from downing his side after Canislupus and I finished our side, when we ran out of time. GG.

I ended up naming him Raven, not Raevin because Raven is something I'd name my character. Any alternative would be kind of derp.

I've changed my layout, but didn't bother with the colors/actual coding, because XML is confusing as hell and I'm lazy/busy. Features Emolia/elem. No real theme, except badass characters. I'll deal with labels and overall organization when I'm not swamped with IRL work.

Not playing for a long time is a humbling experience. Though I've always been aware of my inadequacy. lollll

I decided to finally craft a Hope of Argus. I had my own recipes, some Triumph Fillers, and most of the ingredients except for the Dragon Heart recipe/HoA recipe. The cost out of pocket was approximately 30-60m. Not too bad.

Currently, Torsche is using it. To be honest, my Torsche has been really disappointing, mostly due to her crappy armor. +4 ELB crap stats.

I decided to mildly alleviate her weakness by crafting an Upgraded Death Chopping ring for her. My second upgraded ring. D: Yeah, I'm quite pathetic. I still don't have Principal ring, but I'm working on that.

SPEAKING OF WHICH, some mild bullshit turned awesome. I decided it was time for me to give up chipping my Rosario and just bite the bullet. So I bought a dr2 one for 145m. I asked around Eminence and my friends to see if I made a decent deal or not. Most didn't really approve, since it didn't have SP/HP bonus. So following Jeyem's advice, I decided to chip my OLD rosario.

I got dr2 clean on my Rosario. THE HORRIBLE IRONY. :|

So I was tempted to keep it for Valeria, but I really don't care for her, so I changed my mind. Decided to sell the damned thing. Wanted to break even at 145-150m-ish, and somehow, I managed to sell it for 3 Hrin's Treasure Books. AKA 30 Growth Stones. I'm not a bad person, I wasn't the one who offered! :/ So I managed to make a bit of profit, which is great.

In another news, I decided to derp around Byron and play with the Alchemy Table. I got a ton of Jewel Powders from it, which helped contribute to my HoA crafting. Mostly, it was useless shit I don't really have any need for at this point in time, BUT IT WAS FUN.

K, so I've always liked the Belle de Jour costume SANS the ugly hair. What generation is it from, anyway? Seriously. Surely, not the Rococo era, which is what the costume itself was inspired by. So what the hell? In any case, after shopping around, I managed to get my hands on one, but decided the Golden Archangel Wings didn't match. Stole my elem's cross and gave it to her. Matches quite nicely, in my opinion.

My wings went to...

YA, I KNOW. I hate(d) her. I can't tolerate her voice. But like Bernelli, she's actually really useful. Especially with her new buff, Fatal Blues. Great for raids and puts her on par with musks. And honestly, her character design is hideous. I searched hard for a costume to cover that shit up... Iberis or Lady Raffles. I managed to get an Iberis. Looks really nice, especially with the gold wings.

I'm working on getting her a 29/30 dr armor and some pistols. My only pistols at the moment are Daemon/Undead.

She's going to be my new ongoing project alongside my quest for Enhanced Tactics rings and new armor for Torsche. I named her Bryce, which means fast and strong. Appropriate. Currently level 90 and I'm hoping to reach expert as soon as possible.

After a much needed break from the game, I've returned, somewhat. I won't be nearly as active as before, but I'll be around. My laptop can't handle long-term gaming anymore, so I'll be around for a few minutes/hours per day. Highly doubt I'll be participating in raids regularly, however.

I may revamp the blog to remove tags, redesign the layout, etc. And I hope to change my style of blogging here (I have more than 1 blog), because I sound like a douche.

Currently training Karja and Jean Pierre. I want my family level to be 40+3 soon. I should actually train Emolia, elem, and Hellena though... I need more masters in the family.

I forget how incompetent I am in this game.

I've been visiting GE every now and then. Frankly, my laptop can't handle being on GE for too long anymore; it's older and I've gamed too much on it. So I'm waiting to build my desktop before I proceed with returning to GE.

The question of power, hierarchy, and authority lies primarily between two: those who exert themselves in a way that projects authority/etc. and those who automatically fall into the role as such ie. the creator of a forum is automatically administrator.

I'd always wondered about this, having had some form of power myself in GE.

Theoretically, say the creator/administrator left during the near-demise of a group, and returns to reclaim power after restructuring of the group completely revamps said group. Does this creator have any right to reclaim the throne? Or?

Were they a good leader in the first place? Or is it for nostalgia's sake? Or does the mere fact that they created the thing in the first place?

For Christmas, Seitai decided it'd be an appropriate time to award Eminence with 2 things: a Christmas auction and Millenion's very first ELB distribution. The people who received ELB in order of % raids joined:

Yeah, General Dungian still managed to beat me despite being on hiatus for well over a month... wtf. Though I myself don't raid nearly as much as I did before... still. D:

I received my first faction-given armor on my birthday... lolol. It's a completely clean ELB fighter. Funny, since I'd just sold my actual first ELB fighter (with stats, though) like a week before that. I'm in no place to chip this thing, so for now, it'll just collect dust in my inventory.

Cruz chipped his to STATS OF EPIC PROPORTIONS. Seriously, WTF his armor chipping skills. I believe it was something with HP, dr3 and max eva. Yeah, something like that, I don't recall. But holy hell. D: For Gian's armor... I think he's left it as is, in the state he received it. Same goes for all the other onions.

So anyway, all our hard work in a totally alien faction of much higher caliber in comparison our home faction finally coming to fruition. There's about 3 or 4 more onions in line for their first choice armors, so woo.

It'll be a long while before I receive my second armor from Eminence, I reckon. 'Cause I almost never raid nowadays thanks to school and my declining interest in "moving ahead" in GE. I tend to only log on to troll, chat, and sell things to clear debt.

I told myself to blog right before school because I knew I wouldn't have time during school. But I forgot. As a result, being bogged down with school and IRL obligations... meh. Too busy to care about GE.

So lately I've been working on a random new project. LORCH. Wew. Not as a main, but as a lulzy whatever thing. Plan to master him. Currently, he's expert1 only. I trained him at me and Avey's old spot in Frozen Plain. Hadn't been there in long while. Still have it saved from when I used to train there frequently. I think it was from... vet6-ish to expert1? Currently in UG.

Not sure if I want to get a shotgun for him. And I don't even mean 32/33ar. Unless err +7 lvl100 counts? rofl :D I'm cheap. Sue me.

Anyway I haven't been keeping up with GE-anything for a week... and err. I really forgot how to play. That's bad, I know, but wtf. I always have my scout in the middle and I put him on the right side. D: Herpderp much?

Won't be active at all for a long while. It'll only get worse.

Hopefully next week I'll be able to go SCR with Lorch, scout, and Torsche. Torsche needs to reach master10 soon. :/ And ET still isn't maxed. FML.

Recently, some friends in Lunatique Faction warred OneMsia for whatever reason, so I wanted to watch some action. Tagged along. WOO!

I wasn't there for the beginning, so I can't say whose fault it was or anything. Wars happen all the time, Mille always warred facs up until we became a part of the alliance and had more of an "image."

So uh. I came in when they began wiping my friends. I was more or less watching really, until they attacked me (I was squaded with my friends) with AOE spam and yeah, so I killed them and resu'd my friends.

Things I should say before continuing:

Cue the shock and WTFery when I killed them: EHY GUY WHY EMINENCE HELPING LUNATIQUE. Eminence had nothing to do with it. ONE MEMBER does not mean Eminence is ~allied~ with Lunatique. In fact, Lunatique is "enemies" (in CW) with Eminence, rofl. Just so happens my friends are in there, so yeah.

Hurrhurr, I have a personal gripe with OneMsia thanks to Avey's angry-bitch-rants against them and well, ™Batista™ PMed me weird shit once. Not a great first meeting. I wonder what his original account is. All the RMTing he does boosted his family level from 15 to 36 in a matter of 5 days. Seriously.

Here are one of the fallacious broads they made about me. I didn't hao lian. Well, okay, I did by not buffing and killing ~ELN wearing pro Batista~ but that's it? I didn't walk around saying UHUHUHUHUHUHUHUHU I PAWN U I PAWN U.

But it's pretty pathetic that an ELN user died so easily, I can say that for sure. Note: he was buffed. At the very least, he should have not died so many times from swift. My/Avey's/our rifle is atk, not pene. The DR-AR difference is really high between my rifle and his ELN.

In any case, Batista got frustrated with losing to Lunatique+Lloyd over and over, borrowed equips and still lost a ton. Lunetia the white Knightress came to Lunatique's rescue and pwned them all over the place. And I decided to back off for the sake of not further tarnishing Eminence's already-not-great reputation. So I did, went to do Christmas event with Pig and Nephew while they broaded more nonsense about me as if I was still there.

Went back to watch more 'cause I was bored. Not involved. Until he insulted Millenion. Err.

LOL Anyway I thought it was hilarious that I beat him like 15 times (not exaggerating) and he killed me only twice and still wanted to talk about how "jealous" we were of his ELN. I did more PKing than actual talking, so they assumed I was "showing off" and said things like "being in big pro fac u think u can do wat u want?" Actually, err, no, it's the EXACT OPPOSITE. I can't do anything. It's why I jumped straight into PKing with them 'cause... I can't fight every Symbols™ member evenly; I have no skill, it lags a shit ton for me in CW, and my equips suck. Triforce™, I have a slightly better chance if only because Renegade/Roti were Millenion's biggest enemies and we were close to even with them (people like General Dungian overpowered them though). And our numbers did overwhelm them, but I digress.

Anyway, despite the unnecessary faction drama, racism, showing off of useless-in-his-hands-anyway-just-give-them-to-me ELNs... it was fun. Kinda. Became tiresome when they kept broading me HOURS after I'd gone.

WEEEEW. Cool, I somehow won again. They chose my red hair ger one though, which is weird, but I'm happy I won regardless. Grats to Greg (Nakazora) as well and his imba manipulating + painting style. A lot of nice entries in general, seems like a lot of people stepping up their game in designing. MORE POWER TO Y'ALL, it's nice to see more variety in loading screens. As much as I "love" seeing my own, it's just nice seeing different stuff.

Though I wish more Rembrandt people won. lol D:

The time frame of the event was realllllyyy bad for me, with finals and all, but I managed somehow! I'm too tired to design anymore, frankly.

Really nice to have 2 Golden Wings, though I don't use them too often. I always take them off in PVP 'cause it's... asking to be killed. Seriously. I always change my Torsche's wing to something else when I PVP 'cause it's really idiotic to go into PVP with that... walking bullseye. For now the first pair is with Rio and the other pair is with Torsche.

Like Greg said on the forum, I do wish the wings had a little bonus... even movement or something. Though I'm not complaining, it'd just be cool to have.

In addition to the wings, we won 150 ABS as well. Just in time for ABS's retirement!

Christmas Event
Dec 22-Jan 20 multi-server Christmas event. So the prizes are as follows:

Prizes that appeal to me most are angel headband and the better-than-pigling Santa Pilfurr™ or most commonly known as... Santa Graber(sic). Spelled correctly when made, but in box-form, Graber!

So anyway there are 3 dungeons... Bronze, Silver, Gold. Need to pay 100 of each pure ore to make 3 keys for each dungeon. For each mission, we have to save Rudolph. And uh yeah, that's it really. Bronze map is Poison Yard... kill the circus mini bosses and Chrysalis. Silver map is Ice Wizard Tower 3rd floor, break crystals and kill Novia. Gold map is Cabeza de Bahia, last zone of Brain of Argus raid. Kill mobs, collect Rudolph Ointment to drop into the egg to save each Rudolph before egg breaks.

Basically collect Santa's clothes (wtf why are we doing his laundry, lazyass) and all 8 = 1 coin/token. In a day... you can get about 1.5-2 tokens on one account. People with vet/expert/master mules can easily farm these pieces quickly, as they are tradeable... though the coin/token itself is not tradeable.

I go with kid Nephew and Pig to quickly finish with ease. Can solo very very very easily at master, but it's nicer doing it in a squad. Takes about 5 minutes each dungeon perhaps? 10 max. For us anyway... given no lag.

THIS NPC IS NAMED SANTA RAPPER. WTF. STEREOTYPES, IAH! Just 'cause he has a shaved head and facial hair and shit. Man. Discrimination all up in this bitch here. (trollolol)

And yeah, I got Santa Pilfurr on Christmas! Cool. I don't have Pigling, so it's nice.

Ran off to Bahia to make him ASAP. Couldn't think of a name, made a really lousy pun out of Avey's name. For those who choose not to understand puns, here: Assistant + Avensis = Avensistant.

I tested him in FP for a bit, and his reaction time to me seems a lot quicker than Pigling's even. There's no official statement anywhere about whether or not Pigling and Santa Pilfurr are any different, but I've seen enough Pigling to idk... gauge a difference, I suppose. But I might be biased.

Really nice for me... since I can't afford Pigling. I'm still broke.

Another thing, apparently... Santa Pilfurr only eats the same amount as a regular Pilfurr, unlike Pigling. Holy shit, so cool. Saves my poorass a lot of feso.

In any case, over 20 days more for this event, there's no rush. But I really wanted the pet, so I just rushed it like a boss. I'm going to buy a ton of Angel Rings (aka headband) and saturate the market with them. SATURATE.

Scout. I bought my first 30dr armor last week. Yes, total 30dr! +5 e84 dr3. lolol I kid. :| Need to 3s it and throw in immunity.

Rosario is giving me a lot of trouble, I used 300 chips I think without tranq, all shit stat.

And of course, I have no ET rings. Don't have any plans on getting any either yet, too poor and broke.

Torsche. Torsche's second dagger... Made me broke as well. First dagger is named Dawnbringer and second is Duskbringer. Why? Named after Avey's scout, 'cause he kept putting her on arnis and going to the frontlines in Arsene, like a dumbass. And Duskbringer to match/contrast. lolol ATK+AR is Dawn, ATK+human is Dusk. Woo. I need to upgrade these, +7 them and 3s. Half pene, half atk. Or maybe not, we'll see. So far in PK, she surprisingly does decent damage somehow... Against Symbols™, do note, who are far from weak (the specific ones I'm referring to, anyway). Managed to kill 2 prestigious, or who I consider elite, Symbols™ members. D: *proud*

The fact that they're better than General Dungian's daggers, stat-wise, is really de-demoralising, so I feel less noob and therefore more brave to PK considerably stronger players. LOL :| Even though I'm still incredibly pathetic at PK.

I might once again change my team, but I'm not so sure yet. The dynamic of my current team is good, but greatly flawed. It was always my concern when I changed from Romina Scout Fighter, because at least that team was a lot more balanced. So to balance things out, I may change... again.

That would mean new armor, new weapon, and more training. :| Man. We'll see. For now, I'll stick with this one until the opportunity to change arises.

loading screen part trois - commentary/notes

So there's another Loading Screen contest... for version 6.3. Yes. 6.3. Ahem. Dunno when that'll happen, but the main concentrations are Byron/Viron, Raven, and red hair girl Grandis(?). I've made like... 20+ designs, 7 of which technically count as one (in a series), since they're in more or less the same format and style. So here's my commentary and notes on each piece. Will be updated with each new work. (if I make anymore...)

New pose guide, #11. Had to use this pose with Andre. Couldn't decide on whether to include Karja or not, since she's an... auxiliary in the design. But since the message was kind of "from teacher to student," I thought I might as well include her. Came up with the message before the picture, so I had to work around the words "passion" and "fashion." Good thing the screencap had a lot of red already. Threw in some textures to intensify the red.

Version #2 of this here. Just a simple design with Byron in the back. Meh. Yeah, I'll make a version for "Viron" later. Filters and lighting and stuff. Nothing special. I just liked the picture and it was one of the few big Bryon/Viron pics available. -.-

Caths. Didn't come out the way I wanted, so I just... added textures and text and finished it up fast. -_- Nothing else to say, really. lol

My first semi-serious design, besides Andre, which was serious but... it's Andre, so that makes it not-so-serious. Panfilo! His new crafting skill. The previews for his crafting skill inspired me to go to Frozen Plain for screenshots, so off I went. Combined with the Katovic Soup location and the village location. Threw in one of his catch-phrases to pair with the cold background and voila. Also, I did create Panfilo just to take screenshots. ~~Deleted him right after~~.

Okay. Er. It is indeed a joke. I wanted to design something involving stock magic characters, but it became a joke instead. Yes, my wiz is... supposed to be Horacio Caine of CSI Miami. I asked General Dungian if the joke was lame enough, and it was. So I implemented it. Battery: charged. Assault: Raid Assault. Get it? You better.

Alternative 1 and 2. Dunno, it was kind of hard to find a decent angle to take the screenshots in. I wanted a minimal of 2 chars to look straight at the viewer, with Emolia as the priority. So it took some time. Some people warped in, caught me taking SS. rofl Caught in my creative process. D: Also wanted to include the background and the warps, since... yeah. BHG is about the many different raids available. So yes. I had trouble thinking up succinct yet efficient text, so I just made 3 versions. Blargh.

Prison/Torture Raid screenshot of our first attempt. Mostly General Dungian left standing. Anyway, I caught one of the mobs in my SS... was looking for Prison-related SS, and saw this. Decided to make a joke loading screen. So here we are.

Personally, I feel like a lot more could be done with this... the image itself is fine, but the text leaves something to desire. So I may or may not change this. I liked this pose for Valeria while I was "shooting" for the BHG loading screen, so I ran off to Reception Hall and took this with Gabriella. wew.

ERRR. This isn't my style tbh. D: So there were already Asoka designs and since there's only ONE decent picture of her, it made it extremely difficult to come up with something different. -_- So I came up with something different, but I'm not really happy with it. lol Man. Ah well. Compromise.

Decided to have them switch their costumes a bit and do a little design based on that, advertising HCOF. I wish the White Vent Bernelli was instead looking down with a crazy sort of smile, but whatever. Gotta work with Dungian's screenshots. lmao I like how cowgirl Bernelli came out though. wew

Wanted to do something with the Rebo fountain... thought it looked nice. Decided it would be appropriate to dedicate one to an underrated MCC3 combination. I included lens flare (lmao) for brightness. Nothing much to say.

NOTE: It's... Soho in a STW costume. Herpderp, left it on, too lazy to retake. I may have to amend the design a bit to include a note so newbs don't buy STW thinking it might work for this buff. It doesn't. D: I liked the angle of this particular SS, which is why it wasn't... redone. Wew.

I consider all of these the same general design. Reason I made so many was because ehh, I'm kind of OCD. I thought it would be interesting to make a design dedicated to premium wings, but I ended up making 7 individual ones. D: The ones with buffs. Blargh. 1-in-7 designs. >_>

It was actually supposed to be a serious design, but it became a joke too. :/ I've always loved the random iguana on Gracielo's head, so I thought "why not?" but it looked really ridiculous. So... it became not-so-serious. Yes.

I was running running through IOF going to the last zone... the Spartan zone (spoilers for next design :X) Made this pose with the volcano at the back in zone 3. Decided to do the same in the Spartan zone. Looked cool, decided to make a joke design, but it became serious. >_> Haha. Looks pretty "epic" and overly dramatic. Changes made thanks to Pig.

Granado Esparta. Possibly the most serious design I've made for this round. :/ I didn't have a design in mind, just the words Granado Esparta and yeah... I went to IOF hoping to get some nice screenshots of the "Spartans" there. People have always called it Sparta zone (or at least Millenion always did), so I decided to make a design out of it. Actually, I have A TON of screenshots... like... 300-400 for this one design alone. Not counting the Reckless one, which only took up like... 4-5 screenshots only. D: It took a long time to get the right angles. Holy hell. And in the end I only used... 3. zzzz A bit of a 300 parody, but mostly because of my horrible pun. Yes. Changes made thanks to Aveypoo.

I hardly ever see M'Boma in the loading screens, so I decided to make one starring him. Didn't come out the way I expected it to. I know he doesn't hate the new world or anything, it was more intended to highlight his love for Absinia. Ah well.

Er. The text isn't... what I... really want... But I like the pic. I just... wish I could fix the text. But I seriously can't think of anything. D:

Level of "srsness" somewhere in between Reckless and Sparta maybe, I guess. So I tried different poses to invoke a feeling of "urgency/escape" but couldn't really come up with anything. I added a zoom effect and lighting to create the "urgency/escape." I'm usually really 2-dimensional in my designs because I go for grunge and grunge is usually flat. My favorite number is 6 and I kind of went for the "Cinderella" concept... of midnight and running out of time. Original text was "6 minutes to midnight," but I changed it to twilight because of the lighting I added. If I kept "midnight" it would've been bizarre. Has nothing to do with the shitty vampire bull.

This is my final one. I decided to stop here because this marks my... 26th one, not counting my 7 wings ones. Stopped at this number for a personal reason. My 7 wings count as 1 design. So it's 20... and 26. Hurrhurr.

And this goes without saying, but I hope to win of course. No need to announce it everytime I post a design *cough*, we all want to win. :\ I wish I made more srs designs or 6.3-related designs, but enough people got that covered. I'm too lazy. lol

Spoilers ahead for the quest. Won't reveal too much of the story, though.

So soon as you go in, buff up max. Don't be cheap; I'll explain why later. I buffed up principal, all TA buffs, and status ampules... I think. =___= And look, I even used 1-day wings bought with Veteran Tokens from BHG. I went all out on this! D:

I meant to only borrow armor for my team since I sold my metal armor (which I'll talk about later)... but General Dungianitrous lent me a lot more. Like his const GS. Was a great help, since my fighter did most of the work. Surprisingly. I was scared I'd have to go back to my Romina+Bernelli combo. So anyway, thanks Dungian. Reminder: He does not use ELN. He does not own ELN and never has. He uses ESA/ELB. That is all.

Objective #1: Kill every single mob.

ESPECIALLY BIO MAN. Cannot emphasize this more. In my first screencap, you can see that my scout got corroded. How? Bio fcking Man. Let's just say... Bio Man's regular attacks are like... Corrosion, only in spacebar form and no AOE. There's splash though, I believe. So think of it as Superior Blaster-- no. Sagitta, since it's not double. Sagitta with Corrosion. At all times. Fun, right?

Anyway, they'll be the most annoying mobs you'll encounter in both the quest and the raid. It'll be in your best interest to kill them ASAP if you want to survive. Good thing they're human, too! Flintmina sniped them while fighter concentrated on the heavy armor mobs.

The infamous bondage Valeria scene. ~~Nice legs~~. *shrug* Not into lolis, so it only reminded me of the really incredibly corny Dekavaria scene in Castilla Mine... with the close-ups and... camera panning. Really ridiculously lame. But the Valeria one is tolerable. Still kinda corny though.

Anyway, after the little sequence, you fight a relatively easy boss. Move on to the next boss after talking to the machine thing. Woo. What a pain. My Flintmina did really lousy damage to him. But somehow my fighter... managed to do nice damage on him.

However, once he reaches a certain HP... or it may be dependent on how long you'd been fighting him? Anyway, at a certain point, the mobs from outside suddenly spawn again. Yes. Mthrfcking BIO MAN. This is how most people fail the quest. And it's how I failed twice. With all those drugs and Dungian's stuff. Still fail. WOO.

And my Silver Rosario (crafted thanks to JJ/Vorenon when he went to Los Toldos) still doesn't have DR2. So it hurt my scout quite a bit. It was most crucial that my fighter was alive though. Without him, it was pretty much impossible.

Attempt #1: ??? Instant death. No idea what to do.
Attempt #2: Romina managed to run away, but after resurrecting scout, both died from either AOE from the boss or mthrfcking BIO MAN.
Attempt #3: (This was when I was fully buffed with status ampules as well) Epiphany! Scout managed to stay alive. Realized the best thing to do was to RUN AWAY. So scout ran away, ran around the entire block thing right next to the boss spawn area. Ran back to fighter, resu'd him, resu'd Romina a little later. Buffed up principal, sniped bio men, and continued to run around killing the rest of the mobs until I was completely buffed (buff, kill, buff, kill) and capable of killing the boss.

Done! Yes, I know, my scout's ET isn't maxed. It's lvl20. FML.

Final thoughts about the quest: Yes, I still think the Torsche quest is considerably more difficult than the Valeria quest. I failed the Torsche quest a million times more.

I named her Valentine. It was the first name that popped up in my head and it seemed appropriate. Wanted a different one because I'd named my Claire Clementine (will blog about my new characters later), but I chose Valentine anyway. She's currently veteran 1. And... I do have a gripe about her.

Her voice. It is horrendous. Sounds like a 40 year old woman going through a mid-life crisis trying to relive her childhood, so she takes in helium regularly to revert her voice to that of a child's, but fails because... well, she's a grown woman. And some of the things she says are incredibly pa-cute (which Maki kindly explained to me, and now I can't stop using the term. means fake/overly exaggerated cute) and somewhat inappropriate for her character?

Someone imprisoned all her life would not speak like a bratty, self-important middle school child. "Do you have a crush on me?" WUT. Come on now. I thought ETR was weird, but her seductive lines make more sense than Valeria's because that's IN CHARACTER at least. Well I suppose they need these gimmicks to further cater to the pedophiles. And this isn't a stab at the voice actress either, since she was probably asked to aim for a "sweet, childlike young adult." Personally, I was thinking something along the lines of "gentle, quiet, demure and sweet" not "pubescent harajuku Hello Kitty fanatic desuuu," 'cause that's honestly what she sounds like. lmao

I kind of appreciate Torsche's lame skill sound bites now that I've heard Valeria's. Ah well. LOL

Valeria as a character... well, I plan to expert her, but I don't have Innocentio. Her Cure is amazing and incredibly useful for training afk. I can probably park her in skullic AT with Bernelli, without scout, and expert her in no time. Cool! No plans to master her... especially since I don't have Innocentio. I definitely don't plan to replace my scout with her. Too fragile.

I'm aware of one regular Valeria user in Rembrandt at the moment... Geovani once again. Not sure if he has Innocentio though?

the renaissance

I. The UI

Always loved the Renaissance skin. Sad that I was exposed to it before its release in sGE (I don't like being spoiled about anything. D:) but meh.

The menu has been simplified and centered. Alt F3 became the Town Movement function instead of the block list. Block list has been combined with friend list (which is good). So yeah movement within towns is FREEEEEEEEEEE. I abuse it. Whenever I go back to Sword2, I'm like... dysfunctional. lmao Only a few weeks of 5.0 and I'm already spoiled. :\

Market Manager has been moved to Olaf Junction (dude I never knew the names before, and now I have to know them fml) and feso NPC no longer exists. NOOOOO. Maybe she exists in some other form. She looked pretty cool for a non-recruitable NPC. Feso Shop is now combined with the Cash Shop menu. And while I'm sad about the feso ger, I really love that I can buy pet food/CM wherever I want and not have to leave my spot (esp SCR). :D

II. Castilla Base 1
The music isn't annoying. A plus. From most annoying to least: Coimbra, Auch, Rebo. It's about the same as Rebo. And the first impression I got was that Castilla was like... a combination of Ustiur, Coimbra, and Bahia/IOF. :\ Not too sure what that means, but yeah, Castilla's view of the sea is really nice.

And most importantly.

FINALLY GOT TO MEET MY FIFTH WIFE. (ATP, Selva, Torsche, Romina, Adriana) I love her.

This guy looks like Calyce's homeless older brother.

The NPC can walk in Castilla. Kinda cool, unless you wanna talk to them and it's lagging... and... yeah, you get the picture. Labia rejected me.

III. Castilla Mine
Finish the quests to earn medals and the like. I've had really bad luck with completing the quests... it took, what? 14+ tries to get the Steel Ararat one wtf. LOL But others got it on their second or even first try. So more power to them. Loots-wise, I'm not too impressed, and it's not for loots within the quest that people participate... it's for the quests and such. Though it's a nice way to farm chips.

I've yet to experience King Henry or anything beyond Dekavaria, except that I trained a little on the outskirts of Castilla Ruins near King Henry's lair. Yeah, that's about it. haha Limited to 8 people. It IS soloable, but I'm never going to solo this. No real need. At most, if I become strong enough, I'll go in as a duo. But yeah... not happening anytime soon.

IV. Roulette

Roulette system in 5.0 allows for an equal chance for all participants to get cool stuff. Picture related how? Bounty Hunters Guild. Was deemed a huge waste of time and reputation points before 5.0, but now it's pretty nice. So far, I've personally gotten Silver Earring, Cut Fire RES Necklace and High Quality Leather Belt from BHG.

V. Colony War
System reverted back to its original format. Meaning... the colony sticks are outside, open to all. No need to declare. Everyone within the colony map is automatically red, which was supposed mean the death of the alliance but uh. We seem to be doing just fine. lol

VI. Shiny Crystals + Promotion
Glazium has been converted to shiny crystals and yes, I farmed the crap out of my mules. LOL No real need to farm them though; they're cheap, drop easily from mobs below 100 (but have dropped in Prison raid wtf. mobs 120-135.) and yeah.

sGE included 3 event scrolls of each level and I've used all my veteran ones already. -.-

Edit: 80% of this entry was typed like... 3 weeks ago. Which is why Valeria is not included. Prison raid shouldn't be even mentioned. haha Next entry will be about Valeria.

Servers down for like... 12-ish hours due to maintenance for 5.0. And already, there's controversy. Or more wank than controversy. lol Why?

WHY? Because of this: Ballz. The Renaissance Ball in SG in which Valeria was auctioned off for 750...SGD? Exclusiveness for a MONTH so glamorous it's worth paying that much? Ah well.

So for a whole month after Renaissance's release, we won't have Valeria NOR World Cross PVP. 2 key features of 5.0. That's like the Renaissance era without... scientific adva-- nevermind. :| lolol Okay, well, it's not that extreme. I don't mind waiting. But why advertise VALERIA so much and not release her? Another marketing ploy by IAH, but then again, they have to appease the guy who bought the 1-month exclusive Valeria.

...I kid, it's not so serious. ~~I'm not Nzi~~. But some of the lyrics are pretty on target. lmao

In all seriousness though, sGE better get their shit together before Sword2/SOTNW pulls up ahead. D:

In any case, the main site got a makeover to match the whole Renaissance theme. Upper half adopts the cloudy Valeria kGE/jGE style, the bottom... looks like a mess. Good idea, not so good execution.

There's also some promotions going on with Cash Shop items. It'll be interesting to see how this will affect in-game prices. Hopefully, I'll be able to stock some scrolls and whatnot, despite my debt.

My main concern, still, is the Dahlia costume for Romina. WHERE IS IT.

And in unrelated news, I cleaned up my blog design a bit as I promised I would 4 months ago. I want to put up pictures of my team somewhere, but uh. My Romina looks like a man, my scout looks retarded and my fighter is an insect. Oh, and Torsche. But yeah. I'll wait for new costumes. (I guess it was related to the entry afterall)

There's also that Vespanola Navy Officer costume for Romina that can be acquired via quest... but... I want the Dahlia one. The Vespanola one is only my back-up. wew. Time to wait.

Project: Torsche

The project that I'd been working on... is Torsche. I'd been busy with my studies and didn't have internet for a while, so it took incredibly long to master her. But I did it. Somehow. Without premium dungeons. Would've been a lot easier, but... yeah. Unstable internet didn't really allow for it.

Took about a month. WOW. Didn't use CM for most of vet, maybe one. Used like 5-6 CM for expert.

REASONING
My fighter tends to do most of the killing (on metal), but I felt against characters like Grandice and even Nar (the new MVP of PK), fighter on HG loses out on a lot of the benefits the aforementioned characters enjoy. Greater STR + HP for both characters, for one. Nar even has his own self-buff + holy damage, increasing his overall damage. In other words, my fighter loses out big time. I find it difficult to kill most Grandice and Nar on decent armor. (minimum +6 ESA dr3)

But that's not really my main reason for replacing my fighter. I just... wanted to try something new?

This perhaps will be my most expensive project. Like General Dungian, my team is also primarily metal. Therefore, I have to worry about acquiring new armor (leather... none of which I have. without Avey, my scout would die even MORE often than he already does). Here's my checklist for Torsche:

Garim Belt and HoA would be shared with fighter, since... I'm not actually throwing away my fighter. Just "expanding my repertoire" in the world of PK.

So I have 1 out of 2 daggers prepared for Cyanea, and though the slots aren't exactly what I had in mind, they work well enough for now, considering my financial err... problems. (I never have enough vis, ever. Yes, I am in debt again) It's been difficult in terms of merchanting for me because I've been too busy IRL to run around in town to merchant, so meh.

I don't like settling, though I wouldn't go out of my way to further enhance an item unless I'd suddenly become rich overnight, so for now my first dagger will remain as is while I work out my finances. Plan on making it +7 3s sometime, but I'll have to calculate AR for dual melee weapons before proceeding. If possible, I might have to sell and then buy a Constellation dagger instead, to even out the AR issues... Need to calculate.

My next aim is a second dagger; armor will have to wait. I'm not sure if I'll be lucky enough to qualify for ELB fighter when it drops and even if I do receive one from Eminence, I'm not sure if I'm in any position to upgrade it. +6 3s is no joke, I'm too poor for that.

Not sure what's next for me. For now, just... training whatever. lol Maybe I'll even take a short break from sGE (afking in-game) for a bit. Raids only. We'll see.

Decided to finish some old quests. Specifically the last part of the Zeia and the Prelude ones. So both of them require entering Occulta Dungeon. I entered through Meridian and zoomed ahead with Red Lolli to the "safe spot." Had to SC twice because Romina (surprisingly) was the only one who kept getting caught in traps. And I can't survive without Romina, so. Woo.

Decided to finish the Constellation Notes thing first. Wasn't sure if the Zeia quest would kick me out of Occulta Dungeon, so better safe than sorry. This took about 25 minutes.

Finished up the Zeia quest after.

Tried to go as far as I could in Occulta... surprisingly, fighter on EMS lasted the longest. Not sure how. More or less the same DR as Romina on shield.

I like this room. Reminds me of Sparta. lol

Afterwards, I went to finalize the quests... and didn't realize there was more to the Zeia one. So I had my solo expert Torsche on blehhh armor and... yeah. Didn't go so well.

Bought some cheap Katovic Soup and finished up Gavin's quest as well. 1/3 barons acquired. But I don't like Kurt, so I doubt I'll go out of my way to get him. Soon, though, I'll be getting Ed. A cheap/free Ed.

I've completed most quests now... minus the second part of the Viki quest, Claire, Ania/Andre costume, etc. Other minor ones.

granado espada: the assumption vs. the reality

The enhancement for your 32/33ar weapons are a sort of indication of the caliber of your weapons. For the most part. A lot of people assume "pro!" when they see +7 32/33ar, without knowing for sure what the stats were. Without knowing the sockets or if it were just a high level training weapon.

People just assume, and most of us are guilty of it. Which brings me to another point. My good friend Shivers brought up a discussion about ELN/"imba" weps with which I didn't agree with him on, but it reminded me that people (including myself) are highly assuming, basing their justifications on appearance. It's safe to say most people like to think 32/33ar weps are an indication of a level of prowess that people may or may not have.

Some may think that 32/33ar (particularly the latter) = ELB/ELN and viceversa. Especially if the weapons are +6/7. Nevermind if it's crap stat, it looks pro enough. People just assume. It's normal.

Now, with that said, there are many different types of players on GE-- we all have different reasons for playing GE, mine being the ability to enjoy the game without even having to be there and the overall community, primarily my precious dodo friends. Others play for the the visual aspect (which is what inspired me to play in the first place) and for the costumes. Others like the MCC3 control (also another reason started playing), the music, etc. Lots of different reasons.

So where am I going with this?

People who hoard on upper tier weapons/armor with totally useless stats/enhancements for the sake of visuals/the "appearance" of strength. This ties in the beginning of this entry and the second part about the reason for playing.

I understand people who play for the visual aspect of GE; it's a pretty game, despite having primitive graphics. I also understand people who assume 32/33ar = pro-ness AND the assumption that pro weps = pro armor, which is usually never true.

But what I don't understand is people who hoard upper tier weps with crap stats/armors for the sake of appearances. What's the point in having 6-7 +4 Constellation weapons that can't do shit? What's the point in owning a set of +4 ELB with mental res and low def?

None. You're better off with +5 Trump and +6 e92 dr3, ffs. I don't understand people who spend loads of money on this game without moving ahead in terms of assets. WHY do you play? This ties in also with the assumption that alliance/anti-alliance members, AKA the Big 4: All Stars, Eminence, Le Conquistadors, Symbols™ are automatically pro or strong or rich. Hardly. More often than not, a great majority of the people I know put on an airs of strength, but display quite the opposite in action.

The whole "apperance" of strength is overrated and silly. I look down on those who believe "appearing" pro is enough to get by in upper tier factions. And I don't mean trying your best to pull your weight, I mean spending on worthless trash and standing there doing nothing, thinking "these weps LOOK pro, therefore I AM pro." Nevermind the fact that I spend a load of money on nothing, I look pro and that's enough, right? :)

Which also brings up another topic: You are not your faction. Meaning, you can't assume joining a faction automatically equates to some level of strength you suddenly magically possess as a result of joining. You are the effort you put into doing whatever it is your faction delegates you to do.

This especially goes for outsiders who seem to make huge blanket statements about the Big 4 factions and potential recruits. Pls la, use some common sense. So simple meh?

asoka and 5.0 and nonsense

Haven't had the need (nor time) to blog because my progress in game is semi-secret. >_> Since I'm making a new team.

Right, so Asoka's been released in ABS and as expected, people are furious. lol I don't mind because I know she'll be released another way sometime. And I personally prefer Mifuyu, but I guess Asoka could be considered like a combination of IBS + Grandice? Best of both worlds. Might even be considered the best GS user, in terms of raw damage? I have no idea yet, but her stats are nice.

Oh and Sect of Moonlight is pretty good. Reminds me in a way of Death Chopping + Semilunar + Hanging Guard, in terms of skill and AOE-ness and anti-air and etc. 0.0 Interested in using her, but won't pay ridiculous vis for her. lol I have priorities!!

My new team is destroying me.

There's also a new event that makes use of the Strange Spheres dropped during CW. It's got people kind of pissed off. I mean I can understand why, and I wish they'd change it a bit so as to compensate people, but meh... It's nice to get EJ. I don't mind. Actually, I forgot about it. :| Oh well. lolol

Apparently, 5.0 is supposedly coming out in 11/1/10? Not sure... But a lot of rumors. And the GMs have been hinting at things. SO. Valeria, Raven??, what else. New stances, new CW system... I'm not really excited, but we'll see how things go. That just might be my next blog entry. lol

Unless the Dahlia costume for Romina comes out. Where is it. I want it.
