The news comes to us from Bryan Preston, Communications Director for the Republican Party of Texas out of Austin.

Why? They will still be the same people they were before except with a D after their names. He is happy the Republican party is going to have more liberals in it?
"In the last 10 years, the internet has become hugely important worldwide from a socio-economic perspective," said Detlef Eckert, a director in the Commission's information society and media directorate-general. "Only by ensuring that all devices connected to the internet are compatible with IPv6 can we stay connected and safeguard sustainable growth of the internet and the global digital economy, now and in the years to come."

"We'll be down to our last tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of web addresses by the end of next year," warned Sam Pickles, lead enterprise engineer of F5 Networks. "New companies looking to establish a presence on the internet will have no option but to adopt the IPv6 address format. Many government and military organisations worldwide have adopted IPv6 for their internal systems already, and its adoption by companies, and eventually home users, is virtually certain."

Switching to IPv6 is relatively straightforward, said Pickles, but will require significant investment from companies and internet service providers.

"Some additional spending will be required to migrate to the new addressing format, and ensure that systems using the old IPv4 format can interface with new IPv6 networks," he said. "Initial installation of new equipment will most likely affect systems at the edge of the corporate network, interfacing with the internet, such as routers and firewalls."

The move to the IPv6 protocol will also necessitate some changes to domestic set-ups, said Pickles, but it should be a relatively straightforward process. "Consumers will eventually also need to replace equipment in the home, although this is likely to be introduced by ISPs in gradual stages," he said. "The most likely device needing replacement initially will be the home broadband router, connected to the phone line."
Read more...

Technorati Tags: news, politics, internet technology

Republicans Rally Resistance to Health Care Bill, as House Vote Nears

From FNC:
Republicans host a rally against Democrats' health care reform, calling on those who attend to track down their elected representatives in Congress and put pressure on them to think twice about voting for the more than $1 trillion health care overhaul.

As a crowd of protesters shouted "kill the bill," House Republicans on Thursday rallied opposition against the Democrats' health care legislation, even as President Obama touted two major endorsements from doctors and seniors groups.

The president interrupted the daily press briefing Thursday to note that the American Medical Association and AARP had just endorsed House Democrats' health care plan.

"This is no small endorsement," Obama said of the AARP's backing. "They know it's a good deal for our seniors."
Do they really endorse it? That resistance seemed to temper Democrats' ambitions for health care reform and just about dash any hope for passing a government-run insurance plan as part of the package. But just a few months later, both the House and Senate have included so-called public options in their bills.

Bachmann said before the rally that the "lessons" of the town halls have been lost.

Republicans want those who attend to track down their elected representatives in Congress and put pressure on them to think twice about voting for the more than $1 trillion health care overhaul pushed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

"They're going to listen," said Rep. It's natural. Mother Nature is in control, not us, puny, humans.

from Live Science:

A 35-mile rift in the desert of Ethiopia will eventually become a new ocean or sea, researchers now confirm.

The crack, 20 feet wide in spots, opened in 2005. Some geologists believed then that it would spawn a new ocean. But that view was controversial, and the rift had not been well studied.

A new study involving an international team of scientists and reported in the journal Geophysical Research Letters finds the processes creating the rift are nearly identical to what goes on at the bottom of oceans, further indication a new sea is in the region's future.

The same rift activity is slowly parting the Red Sea, too.

Technorati Tags: mother nature, Africa, new ocean, Ethiopia, Red Sea, Dabbahu, seismic data

CNN: Palin, Tea Party Protesters 'Driving Moderates Out of GOP'

From Newsbusters:;

On Monday’s AC360, CNN’s Anderson Cooper forwarded the media’s new talking point about the New York 23 congressional race, that “Tea Party protesters and other conservative voices are...driving moderates out of the GOP.” Correspondent Tom Foreman continued on this note, stating that “angry conservatives...[are] forcing the party to choose between...its base and attracting more moderate Americans.”

Hey Cooper, Conservatives do not want moderate Americans in a party that stands for Conservativism! Let' move on to the next one.

Just when you thought the White House couldn't possibly do anything to make their bizarre feud with the Fox News Channel an even larger spectacle - the administration manages to take it to another level. On the Oct. 22 broadcast of Fox News Channel's "Special Report," host Bret Baier revealed a White House pool announcement was offering Kenneth Feinberg, the "Special Master for Compensation," better known as the White House "pay czar" for interviews - all except for one network - Fox News.

Serious Dumb Ass White House. And then there is this.

Is there no depth MSNBC's Chris Matthews won't sink to?
Judging from a truly disgraceful comment he made on Thursday's "Hardball," the answer has got to be a resounding "NO!
MATTHEWS: That's not fair. The group in this country that most resembles the Taliban, ironically, is the religious right.

I show you, my readers, then let you decide.:)
Technorati Tags: Chris Mattews, Hardball, White House, Obama administration, Newsbusters, Hard Ball, NBC, Brian Williams, Fox News, Pew Research, Zars, Anita Dunn, Cris Matthews, Taliban, religious right

Readers’ Ideas on Obama’s Nobel $ Award

I am always hesitant to take any article from "the old grey lady", but this is kinda fun; In a sick political way. The fact that "our President", or as I like to call him, "El Presidente", wait, no, "Comrade Obama", no, wait, wait, "The Great Socialist", no, "the Great Community Organizer in charge," no, no, no, "The Anointed One", Oh what the helllll! He just has toooo many names so, here's the article.

From The New York Times;

Of course, Saturday’s post wasn’t intended as a snarky directive to the White House. The president and his aides surely have their own ideas as to how to invest the prize money in various causes. This was merely an invitation to find out what issues/causes/foundations come to your minds when, and if, you pause to ponder donating such a sizable sum to something in sore need of a financial windfall.

And the suggestions do run the gamut, from financing more cancer research, to quite a few goals for improving education among children in the United States, to promoting international peace or reducing the nuclear weapons arsenal or tackling AIDS around the world. (And those simply contending that the funds could be used to pay down the national debt.)

To that aim, here reprinted are some of your recommendations, (a few excerpted, not in full):

Pressing Domestic Issues

Donate all of it towards cancer research. Imagine a world without cancer. It would be a little more peaceful than it is now, don’t you think? — Carl Billadeau

I hope he gives it to “community trusts” in some of the cities/areas hurt most by the recession. (cleveland, detroit for example have had such trusts for a long long time) It could really make a difference and by giving it to a community trust; the leaders of those communities can decide which organizations would benefit most from grants. — Josie

There is a lot more suggestions, you'll just have to follow the link and read them all. But in the mean time. I would like to have input from my Uncooperative Readers and Bloggers about this subject. Should He have gotten the Prize? And, as a conservative, what would you do with the money? And as a socialist, commie, what do you all think He should do with the money? Thoughts, comments?
Technorati Tags: President Obama, Nobel Peace Prize, Government

Billions in U.S. Aid Never Reached Pakistan Army

From the AP;

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — The United States has long suspected that much of the billions of dollars it has sent Pakistan to battle militants has been diverted to the domestic economy and other causes, such as fighting India.

Now the scope and longevity of the misuse is becoming clear: Between 2002 and 2008, while Al Qaeda regrouped, only $500 million of the $6.6 billion in American aid actually made it to the Pakistani military, two army generals tell The Associated Press.

The account of the generals, who asked to remain anonymous because military rules forbid them from speaking publicly, was backed up by other retired and active generals, former bureaucrats and government ministers.

At the time of the siphoning, Pervez Musharraf, a Washington ally, served as both chief of staff and president, making it easier to divert money intended for the military to bolster his sagging image at home through economic subsidies.

"The army itself got very little," said retired Gen. Mahmud Durrani, who was Pakistan's ambassador to the U.S. under Musharraf. "It went to things like subsidies, which is why everything looked hunky-dory. The military was financing the war on terror out of its own budget."

Aide to other countries is Unconstitutional. Period. But we are stuck with this mess now. So what is the solution? You do not give aide to a corrupt government with out Extreme measures of oversight. I don't care if their people are suffering. Let charities give to those people. Man, our government is so off it's Rocker. And yet there is this.

The details on misuse of American aid come as Washington again promises Pakistan money. Legislation to triple general aid to Pakistan cleared Congress last week.

And it goes on and on and on. Shall we begin;

From USA Today:

HONOLULU — The South Pacific earthquake hit at 6:48 a.m. Tuesday, followed 10 minutes later by the first of four killer waves that hit American Samoa, Samoa and Tonga.

They were not huge by Hawaii big-wave standards —, up to 20 feet according to Togiola Tulafono, the governor of American Samoa, who was in Honolulu Tuesday for a conference.

But in a low-lying, island nation of about 65,000 people, the kinetic energy of the earthquake-born waves was powerful enough to knock out a major bridge, destroy homes and major roads and send cars crashing into one another, Tulafono said.

Now link and read this;

From Newsmax:

WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama has declared a major disaster for American Samoa, a day after an earthquake sent a massive tsunami toward Samoa and American Samoa, leaving at least 99 dead and dozens missing.

Obama said the Federal Emergency Management Agency is in contact with emergency responders, and the U.S. Coast Guard is helping deliver resources to areas in need of assistance.

The disaster declaration allows the United States to provide the support necessary for a "full, swift and aggressive response," the president said.

There are three angles to this story. First, what the hell are we doing in Samoa in the first place. I think I'll look that one up. How about you? Second, we are going to yet "again", bail out another so called "state" when there is a disaster. And what's ever worse is that American Samoa is a "territory". This is Unconstitutional. And third, where the Hellll is sweeper of the House, Nancy Peohosie. She's a millionairess, aren't they part of her district? Why hasn't she taken her private plane, (one that is paid for by tax payer dollars), and rushed down there to comfort her "peeps". Where are your Sweeper? Samoa needs their Momma.

Look States need to take care of themselves. And that goes for all the wild fires in my adopted state of Montana. I know, but that would not be for the "greater Good". Has anyone given any thought to the notion of self reliance as a tool to help humans grow in spirit and become strong in mind.

GM to shut down Saturn after deal with Penske falls apart

This was one of the better car manufactures for at least a decade or more. If you're one of them the day after your H1N1 flu shot, will you worry the vaccine was to blame and not the more likely culprit, all those burgers and fries?

The government is starting an unprecedented system to track possible side effects as mass flu vaccinations begin next month. The idea is to detect any rare but real problems quickly, and explain the inevitable coincidences that are sure to cause some false alarms.

"Every day, bad things happen to people. When you vaccinate a lot of people in a short period of time, some of those things are going to happen to some people by chance alone," said Dr. Daniel Salmon, a vaccine safety specialist at the Department of Health and Human Services.

Health authorities hope to vaccinate well over half the population in just a few months against swine flu, which doctors call the 2009 H1N1 strain. That would be a feat. No more than 100 million Americans usually get vaccinated against regular winter flu, and never in such a short period.

How many will race for the vaccine depends partly on confidence in its safety. The last mass inoculations against a different swine flu, in 1976, were marred by reports of a rare paralyzing condition, Guillain-Barre syndrome.

I don't want this to be a "fear mongering blogger site", but you have got to get the facts. Knowledge is the weapon of choice in this fight, and many other fights we have ahead of us.

Technorati Tags: Health, doctors, Mayo Clinic, H1N1 flu shot, vaccination, CDC, Depatment of health and human services

NYT Tries to Deflect Charges of Bias, Announces 'Opinion Media' Editor

Now this is interesting.

From Newsbusters;

The New York Times announced today that it would appoint an editor to monitor 'opinion media'. In an attempt to respond to criticism that it has been too slow to pick up on stories first reported by conservative blogs and talk show hosts, the Times acknowledged poor coverage, but denied a political agenda.

The self-proclaimed 'paper of record' was extremely slow in picking up on two recent stories. The first, the 'trutherism' of former White House Green Jobs Czar Van Jones, was initially reported by Pajamas Media, and later by Glenn Beck on his Fox News talk show. The Times did not cover the story until after Jones had resigned.

So, how many conservative blogs are they monitoring as well. Not to mention the Conservative Talk Radio Shows on the internet like; The Uncooperative Radio Show. And now the Old Grey Lady, the bastion of all that is the "Liberal, Commie" media, will be using us as their information source. This is just Fabulous! Keep up the pressure people, it's working. We will get our country back, even if it takes us one inch at a
time.

Technorati Tags: news, poliltics, New York Times, Glen Beck, liberal, communism, conserative, Fox News, Pajamas Media, Van Jones, White House

Netanyahu Condemns U.N. for Allowing Ahmadinejad to Deliver Address

Good for him. Do not stop people, keep the pressure on. Open your eyes, be Uncooperative Readers, Listeners, and Citizens. Maybe the whole point to the "Commies" coming out of the closet, was for us to fight for our Constitution and freedom. Maybe this is the tipping point. The Left chant "Cumbaya", conservatives need to start chanting:: The Constitution Is The Solution".

From The New York Times:

WASHINGTON — The White House on Tuesday instructed government agencies to keep politics away from the awarding of federal grants, a step taken as the administration sought to minimize the fallout after an official at the National Endowment for the Arts urged artists to advance President Obama’s agenda.The new guidelines were issued at a meeting between White House officials and chiefs of staff across the executive branch, after the disclosure of a conference call last month in which artists were asked to work with the Corporation for Public Service to promote Mr. Obama’s health care, education and environmental proposals.

“We regret any comments on the call that may have been misunderstood or troubled other participants,” said Bill Burton, a deputy White House press secretary. “We are fully committed to the N.E.A’s historic mission, and we will take all steps necessary to ensure that there is no further cause for questions or concerns about that commitment.”

A White House memorandum, distributed to agencies across the executive branch, told officials that grant decisions should be made on their merits and government officials should avoid creating an appearance that politics was involved in any decisions. The administration does not believe the N.E.A. conference call violated the law, Mr. Burton said, but conceded that it bothered some participants who said it crossed the line by promoting the president’s agenda.

Technorati Tags: President Obama, new, politics, The White House, National Endowment for the Arts, Corporation for Public Service, NEA

Captured Insane Killer Duped Friend to Escape

I worked as an evening Nurse Supervisor for four years at a facility that housed Developmentally Disabled adults. Although most of them were more like children. Some were violent, some were sex offenders, and some were, well, just plain crazy. They lived in houses that are much nicer than any house I ever lived in and they got to destroy them and their contents on a regular basis. Then, the State would just pay to repair and replace that which was destroyed. Needless to say, I quit. There was a lot of things about that job that bothered me, but the one that really got to me was; How in the hell could they put a facility without gates or fences next to a High School and keep sex offenders there?

SEATTLE — An insane killer who slipped away from the staff of a mental institution during a trip to a county fair was recaptured Sunday, three days after he escaped his monitors — and more than 180 miles away.

With a helicopter overhead and dozens of federal, state and local law enforcement officers swarming around Goldendale, 47-year-old Phillip Arnold Paul walked out to a highway in south-central Washington state just as search personnel arrived at the scene, Klickitat County Sheriff Rick McComas said.

"He came out of the brush, onto the roadway, as law enforcement officers were going by," McComas told The Associated Press. "His intent was to voluntarily give himself up because he knew we were going to find him."

But Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie D. Knezovich said Paul had just tried to thumb a ride from an area resident who alerted authorities, and seemed to be trying to remain on the loose.

Paul had told a friend in Spokane for months that he was going to be released from the Eastern State State, a mental institution. He went to the friend's house Thursday after escaping during the Spokane County Interstate Fair, Knezovich said in a release.

Technorati Tags: news, politics, Seattle Washington, insane killer, mental institution, sheriff, Spokane, Spokane County Interstate Fair, detectives, schizophrenic, forensic patients

U.S. to Reveal Euro Missile Defense Plan

From the AP:

WASHINGTON - The Obama administration appears likely to adopt a compromise European missile defense plan that shelves many of the components that have been a major irritant in relations with Russia, with an announcement expected Thursday.

Obama's top military adviser, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mike Mullen, told The Associated Press on Wednesday that the administration was "very close" to the end of a seven-month review of a missile defense shield proposal, an idea that was promoted by the George W. Bush administration. Mullen would not divulge its results.

President Barack Obama faces the dilemma of either setting back the gradual progress toward repairing relations with Russia or disappointing two key NATO allies that agreed to host components of the planned system.

Administration officials were expected to brief lawmakers and government officials in Poland and the Czech Republic on results of the review on Thursday, according to an administration official and a congressional aide. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak on the record.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates scheduled a news conference Thursday with a top military leader, Marine Gen. James Cartwright, who has been a point man on the technical challenge of arraying missiles and interceptors to defend against long-range missiles that an aggressor such as Iran might lob at the U.S. or its allies. Two military officials said the news conference would concern the missile defense plans.

Obama took office undecided about whether to continue to press for the European system and said he would study it. His administration never sounded enthusiastic about the plan, and European allies have been preparing for an announcement that the White House would not complete the shield as designed.

Again My President Obama is selling our national sovereignty down the tubes. Do they think the louder they scream "you must accept us, you must love our way of life, you must teach your kids about Homo sex", that it will help their case to win over the hearts and minds of Americans? How has that been working for them so far?

From Newsmax ;

California Republican Gov. Joe Wilson's "You lie!" outburst last week was "based on racism" and that an "overwhelming portion" of similar demonstrations against President Obama are rooted in bigotry.

Obama's supporters have attributed racist motives to some opponents of his health care plan for weeks, but Carter is the highest-profile person so far to push that claim.

While some anti-Obama demonstrators have been seen carrying over-the-top or racially offensive signs, administration critics say Carter is flat wrong to claim that those fringe protesters make up the bulk of Obama's detractors.

What "racial" signs? My husband and I watched the rally, what they were broadcasting anyway, and never saw a sign that had anything to do with race. We even had one of the protesters on our Radio show and he said it everyone got along, no violence, no problems. Again, President Obama cannot be criticized, ever, by anyone.

Technorati Tags: news, politics, President Obama, Jimmy Carter, White House, tea parties, Governmnent spending, health care reform, conservatives, liberals, racism, Rep.Joe Wilson, congress

Patrick Swayze Dies of Pancreatic Cancer at 57

We are losing our Hollywood Icons folks. There is few role models for our children in Hollywood left. My Uncooperative Husband and our generation will officially be the last generation to have good messages from what we view on the "big screen". God bless you Patrick, may your journey home be swift.

From The AP :

LOS ANGELES — Patrick Swayze personified a particular kind of masculine grace both on and off screen, from his roles in films like "Dirty Dancing" and "Ghost" to the way he carried himself in his long fight with pancreatic cancer.

Swayze died from the illness on Monday in Los Angeles, his publicist said. He was 57.

"Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months," Annett Wolf said in a statement Monday evening. She declined to give details.

Fans of the actor were saddened to learn in March 2008 that Swayze was suffering from an especially deadly form of cancer. He continued working despite the diagnosis, putting together a memoir with his wife and shooting "The Beast," an A&E network drama series for which he had already made the pilot.

Technorati Tags: hollywood, Los Angeles, Patrick Swayze, Ghost, Dirty Dancing, movies, Satuday Night Live, Twitter
